Our daughter told us about Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings and my wife, and I wanted to check it out. Upon entering the restaurant was very neat, clean, very large with a decor you would expect in this type of restaurant. There was a short wait, and we had to scan to put ourselves on the wat list. All seemed hi-tech, they had a robot serving food. Very cute. We ordered the Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings and the Osmanthus Crispy Chicken to share. Our meals came quickly. The chicken was very good, could have a little hotter temperature wise and the dumplings basically had no taste. We had to add Soy sauce to just to have a better taste to it. Our waiter was not very friendly but quick and efficient. After experiencing the dumplings, we didn't want to order anything else. Didn't seem to be a good value for what we received. Not sure to be back.

Ate here with five of my coworkers. The tables are very close together and a tight squeeze. We ordered a lot of food, the waiter seemed overwhelmed and suggested that we get less food. We ate 95% of what we ordered and a couple of us ordered more to take home separately after we were done. Everything we had was great ! I'd probably skip the drink next time.. the passionfruit boba green tea was a bit bland but it was still refreshing. My favorites were ; the scallion pancakes, the crabmeat & pork soup dumplings, Shanghai siu mai and the Bok choy! All the food came out really quickly and it was quite affordable for the amount of food we got. Will definitely be returning, great place. * water pressure was terrible in the women's bathroom sink*

Happened to be in the area for a wedding and decided to try this place because we love soup dumplings! The traditional soup dumplings were delicious, the soup, the filling and dumpling were all on point! They had fresh ginger on the table for them as well! We wished we tried different soup dumplings because they were that good! The dumplings in spicy peanut sauce were also quite tasty. We love chive so we ordered the pork chive dumplings, a little disappointing because they were a bit doughy but good. The stir fried beef with peppers was delicious and so was the pan fried noodles with seafood. The pineapple tea was a bit too sweet but the melon tea was perfect! As for service, it took a bit for the waiter to get to us so we can order and we needed utensil we had to ask the servers going by us because he never checked on us again. However the lovely waitress who helped us with our leftovers (portions are a good size, was so friendly and accommodating). The restaurant is open and spacious! You can see the open kitchen where the dumplings are made.

Tonight we went to Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings because my husband was in the mood for something light--and once again, it hit the spot. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. Every visit brings me right back to the comforting flavors I remember from growing up in Shanghai, which makes dining here feel both nostalgic and satisfying. We ordered four dishes--pan-fried crispy vegetable noodles, Four Happiness sponge tofu, pork and vegetable wontons in spicy peanut sauce, and steamed vegetable dumplings--and each one was a standout. Service was just as enjoyable. The entire team was professional, courteous, and attentive, and our waitress even showed me how to upload my receipt on the app to earn points--such a thoughtful and helpful touch. Some places you try once--this is one you keep coming back to. Reliable, comforting, and consistently done right.

Authentic soup dumplings and udon noodles at its best! Highly recommend if you'd like to try Shanghainese style Chinese cuisine. Their Shanghai stir fry udon is the best I have ever had and their signature pork soup dumplings are a must! Service is prompt and the restaurant in westbury has a modern chill vibe to the decor.

I can't help it! The staff is wonderful and the The food is so good here, we keep coming back instead of trying new places. It's such a beautiful place that I want to stay here and eat instead of taking it to go. The only thing that was disappointing was our table looked dirty when we were seated. It turns out the laminate on the table is just worn away in numerous spots. I was going to deduct a star for it, but I just can't. Everything else is just so good. A pot of tea was complimentary when I asked if they had a hot drink. It was perfect on this cold winter day. This time, hubby and I wanted to try all different things. No soup dumplings this time. (Is that sacrilege?) This time, we got: Shrimp and Veggie Wontons in a Spicy Peanut sauce. I wanted to eat all 8, but I knew I would want more, so I left some to take home. I'm already thinking of ways to use up the extra sauce. Probably on rice or noodles. I took home Sweet Soybean Pudding. Light as air and perfect after a big meal. So tasty! I also took home my Seafood Noodle Soup. It's my favorite thing on the menu after we've eaten there so many times, but I wanted different things, so I ordered it to go. They gave me small containers of soy sauce, chili oil, and black vinegar once I asked. This is a must get. They ran out of Cucumber and Garlic salad, so hubby ordered Braised Pork Meatballs Shanghai Style. 3 giant Meatballs in a brown sauce with bok choy. We're glad we ordered that, but it wasn't my favorite. Hubby said he'd order it again. We also ordered Cabbage, Pork, and Shrimp Dumplings. Plain in a good way. The perfect vehicle for the vinegar and chili oil. Hubby ordered Shrimp, Pork, and Vegetable Wonton Soup to go. It was packaged very nicely, almost like a steamer basket with the broth and Wontons separately. To eat in-house, he ordered Pork and Potherb Mustard Noodle Soup. It was a very light broth. Delightful, especially when adding the vinegar and chili oil. OK. We might have ordered a lot, but if you look at the other tables, you'll see most people have their tables filled to capacity with multiple dishes. I took a takeout menu so I can start marking g off what we tried and whether it was a 'must try again" or not. Mostly everything is a "must try again"

I used to frequent Nan Xiang in Flushing a lot and always had great experiences z trying this location for the first time. It's very busy. Still long wait just like the old location. We waited for about 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered salty sticky rice roll, original xlb, sponge tofu and stir fried udon. Xlb had so much soup inside and flavor was good. Sponge tofu was seasoned just right and I like the crunchiness of the wooden ear mushrooms. Stir fried udon was perfect it wasn't too greasy. The inly complaint was the salty sticky rice roll. The fried dough inside was so chewy that I had to discard it and just ate the rice instead. Service was great. Nice decor. Seating was spacious. Worth the wait.

Came here with my sister on a Saturday night last weekend and I honestly was not prepared for how packed it was. I don't know if it was because it was brutally cold out and everyone had the same idea (warm food + soup dumplings), but the place was crowded the second we walked in. We were only a party of two and still had to wait about 15 minutes to get seated because there were so many groups ahead of us. And even after we sat down, it just kept getting busier and busier throughout the night! That being said... the wait is 100% worth it. I've been to their Flushing location a few times and hands down they make some of the best soup dumplings. Everything we ordered was delicious. We tried their new spicy beef soup dumplings and they were amazing. The noodles are always so flavorful and just hit every time. I also got the hot and sour soup and it was perfect for the winter weather we've been having. Service was also really fast, which I appreciated especially with how busy they were. Also. I'm sooo happy they opened a Westbury location because the fact that there's parking?? A win. Parking in Flushing is always a whole mission, so this is a major plus. Definitely coming back.

No wait for the table today at 415pm. Super friendly waitperson! Seated near the kitchen where the magic of dumplings was happening. Last time we were here it was in the forlorn back seating area, so choose accordingly. A bowl of wood ears were great on their own and also a nice add to the comforting spicy braised beef noodle soup. We tried the sauerkraut fish soup, I was a fan! Moist tender white fish, slightly vinegary broth and cruchy pickled veggies! Will add shrimp at home in the leftovers tomorrow for a snow day soup. The shumai were gorgeous, with a nicely textured glutinous rice. Nice and fun late lunch - place now packed while we are waiting our daughter's take home order.

Came here again for the second time within 30 days on an empty stomach. Family of 4 came out to $100, not bad at all. 12 soups dumplings, garlic broccoli, soup, ube dessert bun, fried chicken dumplings (there's corn in them and they're sweet and yummy), and lastly chicken. Also added a drink which was extremely sweet. I'm not sure if you can make it less sweet. The place was packed and the service was the speed of how packed it was. They have the robots that help service the tables.

Very good place for dumplings. The inside is spacious (although always packed!) and nicely decorated. The menu is varied, and the food was great. The only thing that I can nitpick about is that (I suppose because of how busy they are) the service didn't feel as warm & fuzzy as other dumpling establishments that I've been to. Not bad whatsoever, just a tad bit cold.

This restaurant was once recognized by Michelin for 9 years in a row, from 2009 to 2017. I wonder what happened for them to lose this recognition. I had a very pleasant experience and felt the ambience, service, and food were Michelin worthy. For my experience, I ordered the following: Salted soybean milk Shredded pig ear in spicy sauce Savory pressed tofu with Chinese celery String beans with garlic Lucky six soup dumplings Hot soybean milk (to go) It was a lot of food for just me, but I enjoyed the leftovers very much! My server was very attentive and took excellent care of me. My leftovers were packed nicely with utensils included. The restaurant staff greeted me upon arrival and bid me farewell as I left.

Food - The food was okay. 3/5 *I believe the dumplings were made fresh. Although there was no 20 minute asterisk, they took time and I ordered them first, they came last. Lol Some had no carrots others were carrot filled which was very tasty. *The tea was COMPLIMENTARY and came with ginger on the side which was a very nice touch. *The pepper and beef was very peppery so be advised if you're not into spice. The udon beef was very tasty and the bok choy was good too! Service- 3/5 we were served by multiple people. There was also a robot bringing out food which was cool! Ambiance- 4/5 Very spacious. Can see into the kitchen. Picture machine in the front. A lot of people were there for lunch which made it very busy. Went during the holidays so I believe it was some holidays lunches happening. Def a thumb up and would return to try more dumplings including soup dumplings. Would def recommend!!

The wonton soup was decent......wontons were very good but the broth however was a bit bland. Roast pork fried rice was pretty good.....a little dry and skimpy on the pork but the flavor was more than adequate. Hot and sour soup was really tasty with a good bit of spice. Scallion bubble pancake was very light and tasty. The Emperor cabbage appetizer was probably my favorite meal item.....crispy cabbage tossed in a peanuty garlic sauce with honey. It was served cold (which usually I'm not a big fan of, but this was an exception) and had a great flavor. Pork belly appetizer tasted very good but it wasn't crispy (which would have made it so much better) and the buns they were served with didn't taste completely fresh. Dan Dan noodles with ground beef was excellent.... they're served spicy and you can simply request the level of heat you prefer to fit your taste buds. Soup dumplings were of decent size and quite juicy...... unfortunately they lacked some flavor. Mongolian beef dish was excellent as was the kung pao chicken. Overall it was a pretty good meal but there was some room for improvement. The staff was very nice and it did have quite a cool "old school American Chinese restaurant" vibe from yesteryear.

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.
