Upon entering the restaurant was very neat, clean, very large with a decor you would expect in this type of restaurant. There was a short wait, and we had to scan to put ourselves on the wat list. All seemed hi-tech, they had a robot serving food. Very cute. We ordered the Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings and the Osmanthus Crispy Chicken to share. Our meals came quickly. The chicken was very good, could have a little hotter temperature wise and the dumplings basically had no taste. We had to add Soy sauce to just to have a better taste to it. Ate here with five of my coworkers. The tables are very close together and a tight squeeze. We ordered a lot of food, the waiter seemed overwhelmed and suggested that we get less food. We ate 95% of what we ordered and a couple of us ordered more to take home separately after we were done. Everything we had was great ! Happened to be in the area for a wedding and decided to try this place because we love soup dumplings! The traditional soup dumplings were delicious, the soup, the filling and dumpling were all on point! They had fresh ginger on the table for them as well! We wished we tried different soup dumplings because they were that good! The dumplings in spicy peanut sauce were also quite tasty. We love chive so we ordered the pork chive dumplings, a little disappointing because they were a bit doughy but good. The stir fried beef with peppers was delicious and so was the pan fried noodles with seafood. The pineapple tea was a bit too sweet but the melon tea was perfect! As for service, it took a bit for the waiter to get to us so we can order and we needed utensil we had to ask the servers going by us because he never checked on us again. However the lovely waitress who helped us with our leftovers (portions are a good size, was so friendly and accommodating). The restaurant is open and spacious! I used to frequent Nan Xiang in Flushing a lot and always had great experiences z trying this location for the first time. It's very busy. Still long wait just like the old location. We waited for about 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered salty sticky rice roll, original xlb, sponge tofu and stir fried udon. Xlb had so much soup inside and flavor was good. Sponge tofu was seasoned just right and I like the crunchiness of the wooden ear mushrooms. Stir fried udon was perfect it wasn't too greasy. The inly complaint was the salty sticky rice roll. Came here with my sister on a Saturday night last weekend and I honestly was not prepared for how packed it was. I don't know if it was because it was brutally cold out and everyone had the same idea (warm food + soup dumplings), but the place was crowded the second we walked in. We were only a party of two and still had to wait about 15 minutes to get seated because there were so many groups ahead of us. And even after we sat down, it just kept getting busier and busier throughout the night! That being said... the wait is 100% worth it. I've been to their Flushing location a few times and hands down they make some of the best soup dumplings. Everything we ordered was delicious. We tried their new spicy beef soup dumplings and they were amazing. The noodles are always so flavorful and just hit every time. I met up with my friend here on a recent Thursday afternoon around noon. They open at 11am by the way. I'm so happy there is now a location that's much easier to get to compared to trekking out to Flushing (absolute nightmare with traffic and forget about parking!)! There was a good amount of free parking when I arrived and was seated right away. This location is part of the Samanea Mall but the entrance is on the outside facing the parking lot. I'm not sure if you can access the restaurant from inside the mall. The inside decor is clean, spacious and modern, with each table not too closely packed together. The wait staff were all helpful, attentive and quick. The menu has a good variety of food options and you also have a few drink options as well. I love that there are photos of each menu item! We ordered the Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings (6 pieces) to share, a Braised Beef Noodle Soup and a Seafood Crispy Noodle. The Seafood Crispy Noodle is one of my favorite dishes and although it doesn't taste EXACTLY like what I'm used to (seems a bit healthier haha), it's still very good and hit the spot with a reasonable amount of fish and shrimp. Everything was delicious! If you order the soup dumplings, it will come out on a robot which was cute. If you've never had soup dumplings before, they have instructions teaching you how to eat them. The time that we went, it wasn't too busy and I hadn't seen my friend in quite some time so we spent a good amount catching up, lost track of time but never felt rushed to leave. We have tried all their soup dumplings, although they are good, the black truffle soup dumplings are the best and that's all we order when we order soup dumplings. The string beans are probably cooked in hot oil and then stir fried with garlic, it tender yet still has a nice crunch to it. The iced soybean milk and sweet soybean pudding is a must, it isn't too sweet, which is the perfect sweetness level in asian cuisine. Although there were five people ahead of me, the waitlist moved pretty quickly, which was a great start. At first, it wasn't very clear how the ordering process worked, so I had to call someone over to ask what I needed to do. They explained that you circle what you want on the paper and they'll bring it to your table. Of the food I ordered, I would recommend the truffle dumplings. The service overall was a little slow, but the food was good and actually came out pretty quickly once I ordered. It was a bit louder than I would've liked inside, but still manageable. Just a phenomenal place, we continue to enjoy the nassau based Queens establishments, just down the road from home. No need to cross the border anymore. Hard to say if they currently are taking reservations, they were the first 3 times we dined, this week, no..but headed there at an off hour, 4;15 pm on a pre blizzard Saturday and lucked out with a nice table and attentive service. I just adore the wood ear mushrooms, which eventually made their way into our spice braised beef noodle soup. Yum !! The infamous soup dumpling place in Flushing, the heart of Queens finally made its way to Long Island! Much to my surprise, the standard was kept at this location. Even better is that there are ample of free parking outside of Samanea Mall. I ordered the lucky 6 soup dumplings which is my go-to since I have a hard time deciding on which flavor and meat I want. One of my friends ordered a beef soup noodle. Then, we all shared a shredded pork and cabbage rice cake. The soup dumplings were served hot and each had its unique flavor. I learned that my favorite is the original pork one! The shredded pork and cabbage rice cake was very flavorful too. We also shared a cold dish that my friends like. The staff were very friendly and inside the restaurant were lots of tables. We were served lemon water upon seating. There's also a transparent window where you can see the soup dumplings being made! The restaurant has its own restroom as well in addition to two doors - a front entrance leading to the parking lot and a back entrance leading to the inside of the mall. They accept credit cards so no need to bring cash! And there's also a cute photo booth right in front of the cashier counter. My friend and I really saved our appetites but definitely are with our eyes and over ordered. Love the color but the dumpling skin kept ripping on this one Abalone and pork 8/10. I would frequent the flushing location a lot and when I heard they were opening a location in westbury I was ecstatic. went here on a Sunday afternoon and altho it was a little wait, it was so worth it. Was very happy to hear that a Nan Xiang location was opening in Nassau. I've been to the location in Flushing a bunch of times over the years with friends and the food has always been great. Went with a friend recently at around 11:30am on a weekend and was pleasantly surprised there wasn't a wait. It seems like this location has a huge amount of tables, so that was great. The place was very clean and felt very new. We placed an order for one crab and pork soup dumpling ($12, comes with 6 dumplings), 1 pan fried pork buns ($10, comes with 6 pork buns), and split an order of shanghai fried udon ($12.95). We paid about $44 with tax and tip included. I'm happy to report that all the food was pretty amazing. Soup dumplings were very flavorful and did not disappoint. The pork buns seemed to have been perfectly fried with a satisfying crust on the bottom and the pork filling was delicious and juicy. The fried udon was flavorful and the noodles had a great texture / chew to them. However, the dish is supposed to have pork in it and there was barely any pork pieces in the noodles. Seemed to me like the pork buns were the best bang for buck item and I really enjoyed them. So the experience at Nan Xiang was good overall, but I did not like the pricing. At $12, the soup dumplings were $2 per dumpling, which is ridiculous. $13 for a noodle dish isn't too terrible, but was not justified considering the lack of meat we got. I find myself repeating similar sentiments for a lot of restaurants these days, unfortunately. But overall, I think the average patron will enjoy their meal here. read more

It's in the Source Mall on Old Country Road near Golf-X with a large parking lot. So far, this is the best Asian restaurant I've been to in Nassau county. Food was great. Service was courteous from staff and cute from their robot on wheels with pre-recorded messages. No reservations were taken. When you approach the hostess you take your number by taking a photo of their QR code, which takes you to a webpage that assigns your number. We waited about ten minutes to be seated the evening of Christmas day (after seeing a mid afternoon movie ... a family tradition). It's a fairly large restaurant. We had various appetizers, knowing full well that portions would be "to go" because their menu is extensive and we were easily tempted. You have to ask for a fork because they only put out paper-wrapped wooden chopsticks and not enough paper napkins. I was impressed with their beef stuffed scallion "pancakes" with its flaky crust and hot wet slices of beef. I also enjoyed their pork buns with black sesame seeds sprinkled on top. Their bottoms were fried, you could hold them in your hand, but be careful with your first bite, not to pop and misdirect the pork au jus. They were a dumpling variation of Asian bakery pork buns. Another dish was more of a side for the table , too much for one person, mini bok choy (similar to celery) cooked in a non spicy fresh garlic sauce - a crowd pleaser. My wife had their entrée seafood soup (e.g. shrimp, scallops) and I had their entrée vegetable soup, both served over too much lo mein noodles. Mine had different types of mushrooms, tofu, bok choy, shredded carrots... both very good and each enough for two people. They served a pot of Jasmine tea and a pitcher of water with the meal. They bring out the food when it's ready and we were almost done, but didn't get the last dish, so we asked the waiter to cancel it. We came late on a Saturday and after scanning, there was 19 parties ahead of us. That came out to about 30 min. The soup dumplings are delicious and now that Kung Fu Kitchen in the mall is gone, I believe these to be the only quality Soup Dumplings in Nassau County. The Fried Rice was bland, the Bok Choy was my 2nd favorite and everything else was just good. I do want to come back to try some more stuff but really, this place is for Soup Dumplings. Delicious, tasty Soup Dumplings. If I had just gotten an assortment of the soup dumplings, I'd give this place a 4.5. We went there last night for the first time and can't wait to go back again. We started with their signature pork soup dumplings which were absolutely delicious. They reminded me of the awesome soup dumplings from Joe's Shanghai and Little Dumpling. We followed that dish with a number of other dishes that were equally delicious - beef scallion pancakes, wonton soup, Shanghai udon noodles, spicy wontons and rice cakes with pork. The portions were generous and we ended up taking plenty of food home. In the past few weeks I've been to 3 dumpling restaurants. One in NYC that's supposed to be one of the best, one is Denver that has a few locations and they are opening a location in NYC and now Nan's. Nan's was probably the best bang for your buck of the 3 and their food was just as good or better. The service was very quick and the server was attentive. The menu has various options so I chose the soup dumpling sampler which has 6 different dumplings, each one was delicious. I had the soup with fried pork chop which was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful and Shanghai Stir-Fried Udon with beef that has a good amount of bok choy which I love.
