This is very good food. Pizza is proper Neapolitan style. Fantastic dough cooked right. Pillowy soft with light char at the edge, just crisp enough in the middle, bit of leopard-spotting underneath. Yum. Caesar salad was very nice (big enough to share and they'll plate for 2 gladly). Special was a lamb pasta which was crazy good. Tender bits of lamb, rich gravy, handmade pasta. Some nonna was working all day in that kitchen. No dessert or drinks this visit. But we'll definitely be back to try more. The dining room is small and energetic. (I could have done without the techno music tho). Server was terrific and the manager came by also. Price was more than fair. We went there a few days ago since my Italian friend suggested for me . And it was a great choice actually it saves you a trip to Italy . Every thing was PERFRTTO ! Tipsy Nickel This restaurant/bar in Mason, MI...was called Darb's for decades. Our first trip to Tipsy Nickel was so good. We started with calamari..which was not chewy...cooked to perfection with a wonderful tangy green sauce . Two of us had the shrimp tacos, 3 tacos with a wonderful marinated topping & one had the Spinach Pesto Mushroom Alfredo mixed with an incredible rich sauce & our last companion had the salmon dinner perfectly cooked. The wait staff was knowlegable & patient. The earthy cozy elements of Darb's Bar is still there but the food has definitely taken a huge jump. More pricey, but soooo worth it. read more

Ordered To go and went to pick up the pizza at exactly the order time. It was so cold it's like it has been sitting there for a good half hour. I've been here many times and normally they are great about making it ready at the order time but not this time. One other time it wasn't cooked through. All in all it's a great tasting pizza and they are nice here but need to be a bit better on the consistency. read more

Was craving Neapolitan pizza and this was the perfect place! Pesto pizza is good if you like super cheesy and creamy pizza. It's a chewy cheese base, delicious pesto (that seems homemade) with creamy burrata and the sun dried tomatoes give it the perfect saltiness but I did wish it had a bit more. Margarita was also amazing and a staple. The tomato sauce is rich and flavorful (also seems homemade). The best part of a Neapolitan pizza is always the crust and this was perfectly soft, fluffy and chewy. This was my first time here and the server AJ was so funny and friendly, she really made my visit better and Im looking forward to coming back to try more pizzas! read more

This is our third time coming here and everything was absolutely delicious as always. The pizzas are gorgeous and a lovely Chilli oil with pieces of Chilli peppers in it is served upon request. As a gluten free person I can only have the pasta but it is so tasty that I never feel I miss out. My picky toddler gobbled up the kids gnocchi with his choice of pesto sauce. A little thing but the sauce was so smooth that I think any toddler would approve! He got milk as his drink and the discerning waitress gave him half a glass to start. Smart! Had dinner here this weekend and enjoyed my experience. My friends and I had a reservation at 6:30 and we were seated promptly. For drinks, a couple of us got the aperol spritz and 1 got an italian wine! I generally don't opt for a spritz but had gone wine tasting earlier in the day so wanted to switch it up. I found the spritz to taste mostly of just aperol, with no sign of anything else in the drink! My drink was also quite small, filling up less than 1/3 of the wine glass. Given that this drink is generally low in alcohol, I would expect the glass to be filled more for $12. I only ordered an arugula salad for dinner, but it was super yummy! Had lots of good ingredients and I really enjoyed it. My friends got pizzas and both had 1/2 of their serving leftover to take home! I would definitely come back to try more of their menu when I am more hungry but overall had a pleasant experience! read more

Food is great, the sacchetti and lemon cake are my favourite. The restaurant has a great vibe, it is open until late and it has an outdoor seating area which is great for warm and sunny days around the Marina. But the best part is the servers, Davide is the greatest server you'll have (see picture). He is always making sure everything is perfect and he is amazing! The best pizza in the marina. Better than Delarosa IMO. Got the margherita pizza and spaghetti with meatballs and both were AMAZING. Chewy home made noodles. Don't forget to dip pizza in their spicy Italian oil. Got a decaf espresso and gelato to make my own affogato at the end. Both were fantastic. Service was great. Buonasera. I am giving this cool establishment 4 stars instead of 3 because of the amazing chandelier in the middle of the restaurant. Sorry. That is falso but it is really nice. Was not too bad because we were in no rush and having nice conversation with friends but the overall process including getting our food was very long. We were a table of 4, sat right away for our reservation, even though two of our friends were still about 5 min out. My friend was hangry so we ordered a bruschetta as soon as we got there. Our other friends showed up 5 minutes later. We chatted a bit then got waiters attention to place our order. Two pizza's (I ordered mine a little extra crispy), two gnocchi, and confirmed the bruschetta. About 40 min past since the main order and not food yet. Then around 45 min they brought the pizza and pastas. I asked about the bruschetta. They apparently forgot or it got burned somehow - I couldn't understand. They brought it. Would have been nice to take it off the bill since it was over 45 min for our appetizer and the restaurant was not busy at all when we got there but they didn't and we at it after / with dinner. I would say the pizzas were good. Not something I would write my Italian grandmother about if I had an Italian grandmother but tasty fresh ingredients. Mine did not come out any more crispy / cooked that the other pizza at our table and was actually very soggy - no picking up this slice - knife and fork pizza. But like I said - good and fresh ingredient. The gnocchi was actually very good. And the bruschetta, even after waiting so long, not my favorite. I would go back. It in my neighborhood so convenient. Service was mixed. Food was good and fresh. And just make sure you have time and patience. We had to ask to get the bill - which I actually love. Very European. Literally went out on a whim to pick this place, as we couldn't decide what cuisine we wanted to eat. We were at the beach while looking for a nice late lunch/ early dinner spot and Napizza was extremely close so we decided on that. Arriving to the restaurant there was street parking which you will need to pay for, if you can find a spot. The restaurant has a patio/outside dining, but the inside is definitely really nice and comes with the best atmosphere. Our server AJ was amazing as she was able to recommend a red wine that paired well with our order of caprese salad and pepperoni mushroom pizza that filled us right up. Shout out to the staff for being so attentive and creating return guests, especially for the bomb tiramisu that we weren't going to order. AJ fussed about having dessert which was their incredible tiramisu and let me just say we will never forget it. It was big enough to share, fulfilling, creamy, and will most definitely complete your cravings. I went to Napizza last night with friends , which is great because we decided on splitting three different pizzas, in addition to their fried artichokes which were so delicious. The pizzas were all amazing , my personal favorite was the Italiana, which was so much like my favorite pizza , which I had in Florence. The prices are also not bad considering it's in the Marina. Ambiance was gorgeous , they have a giant chandelier that's a bit mesmerizing to look at. Everything is nice - service too. I really like this place. My new favorite pizza spot in SF. read more

This is my second review .. and quite honestly is a 5 stars ... We had a delightful late night dinner at Napizza located at 3258 Scott st here in SF,CA last night The setting is casual yet super cozy . The formal tables is complemented by the comfortable surroundings with superb service was kind and informative as we made our selections. Before the food came the Spritz and a perfect Negroni had arrived at the table ! Our choices that We ordered were done amazingly prepared by the amazingly chef and the great team behind the scenes ... the Fettuccine Al Salmone, Salsiccia Pizza, and Truffle Waffle Fries. all of which were delicious EVERY BITE WAS DELICIOUS! Then as if that were not enough, the Barista, prepared a decaf cappuccino mmmm yummy to ... go along with dessert! vanilla (gelato) ice cream ! It was only a 3 man operation (due to apparent holiday staff shortage) with one staffer bussing + waiting + hosting (Giovanni you were the MVP, never failing to be slow and smile in the midst of the chaos) and 2 guys in the back who had pizza making down to a science. Got the prosciutto pizza and the artichoke hearts with garlic aioli. Definitely would recommend! The pizza was perfectly cooked, the cheese was soft with nice chew, and the crust was crispy and fluffy at the same time (perfect for dipping in the chili oil). artichoke hearts were tenderly cooked and the garlic aioli was creamy and spicy.
