Pizza Salsiccia
Amelia D.

I have been here for both pasta and pizza but last night went with a group of 9 for a late night dinners I shared a pizza alla norma and a pizza salsiccia with a friend. Both pizzas were fresh and tasty, though I liked the alla norma (with eggplant) slightly more. They serve the pizzas as they come out of the oven, which means in a larger group it's harder to start to eat all at once. Overall, delicious pizza with some traditional Italian options and served with a knife and fork as it would be in Italy. 5 out of 5. I have also had the tonarelli here and while it is good the pasta options are clearly more Italian-American (pasta Alfredo pasta alla vodka with salmon) and not as traditional. I would say pasta is 4 out of 5.

I visited Napizza San Francisco for dinner and had a mixed experience. It's a nice, cozy little place with a good ambience and outdoor dining available. Since it was cold, I chose to sit inside, but I liked that they offer blankets for guests who prefer sitting outside. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly, which made the overall experience pleasant. However, I was expecting the food to be the highlight and was a bit disappointed. The starter bread they offered was unique and something I really enjoyed. The pasta was probably the best dish I had - I liked it, though I felt it could use a little more sauce. I ordered the Meyer Lemon pizza, and while it was a nice thin pizza, it was a bit too sour for my taste because of the amount of lemon. Btw they helped to customize it with 2 extra things I wanted on pizza. I think it needed more mozzarella balance. The pesto on the pizza was also disappointing; it looked like a very dark green sauce and didn't have the fresh pesto flavor I was expecting. I also tried a mocktail that was priced at $12, but I don't think it justified that price. For dessert, I ordered the tiramisu, which was good - not amazing, but definitely a nice way to end the meal. Overall, the place has a nice atmosphere and good service, but the food needs improvement to match the expectations that come with the experience.

I had an awesome experience at Napizza! The service was great, the vibe was very nice, and the food was delicious!! Some of the best truly authentic pizza I've had in the states. I was so excited when I saw they had mozzarella de bufala on the menu. & I was even more excited when I heard that they source all of their pizza ingredients from Italy. And the result was a really delicious pizza. The dough had the perfect amount of chew, and a delicious taste & char. The red sauce was delicious and nicely acidic / seasoned. The mozzarella was awesome. I also got arancini as an appetizer and it was really delicious. Service was great here. They were open late - and my food came out nice and quick. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place!

Officially my favorite Italian restaurant. We got the mortadella pizza and burrata truffle pasta, and both were incredible. The truffle pasta had the creamiest, richest sauce I've ever had! so good I was practically licking the bowl clean. The pizza was comparable to the pizza I had in Italy. The dough was fluffy and fresh, the mortadella was perfectly savory without being too salty, and the stracciatella cheese on top was unbelievably creamy. I already can't wait to go back and try more dishes.

This was our second stop on a Friday night so we didn't go all out, but I'm really glad we went here. I hadn't been in a while and it definitely held up. We were able to walk in and get seated right away, which felt like a win for a Friday. The vibe was fun. It seemed like a lot of the staff were from Italy, which added to the whole experience. My friend and I got an Aperol spritz and a glass of white, and shared the La Sorrentina. It was sooo good. I loved the stracciatella and how it balanced with the spicy nduja. Everyone was really nice and the service felt easy and welcoming. Would definitely come back again.

Absolutely incredible Italian cuisine! My husband and I come here every time we visit ST and it never disappoints. If you want some truly delicious Italian food, come try! There is street parking, but it is extremely limited. Recommends taking a ride share. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date, celebration, or just a normal night when you crave Italian.

Soft chewy perfectly cooked crust! Even as takeout pizza, it has become my favorite in the neighborhood and the Marina has a good amount of Italian food to choose from~ Absolutely unassumingly good ^^

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. The pizza dough was surprisingly light and the tomato sauce on the meatballs was incredible and not acidic. Recommending to everyone I know.

I really enjoyed my lunch here! The pizza had a nice thin and crispy crust, and the drinks were really refreshing. There is a nice indoor/outdoor vibe, and we didn't have to wait for a table in the afternoon on the weekend.

This place is dangerously close to Italy-level pizza, and I almost don't want to write this because some secrets deserve protection. My husband loves the Quattro formaggi pizza, but I bet all the pizzas are amazing. The crust is perfectly blistered and airy with just the right chew, the sauce is bright and restrained, and the toppings are thoughtful rather than overworked. It's the kind of pizza that doesn't need explaining--every bite just makes sense. And then there's the truffle pasta. Deeply rich, indulgent without being heavy, and absolutely addictive. The sausage adds a perfect touch of protein and savoriness that balances the truffle beautifully, making it feel satisfying rather than over-the-top. It's one of those dishes you think about the next day. If you care about balance, quality, and food that feels confidently simple, this is the spot. Order the classics, trust the kitchen, and please... let's not tell everyone. Some secrets are worth keeping.

Couldn't wait 2 hours for Little Joe's across the street so decided to get pizza/italian food right across the street. Probably the best decision I could have made because the pizzas were incredible! The eggplant pizza was just so well done and savory, I've never had eggplant pizza before let alone known it could be that good. Salsiccia was a pretty good pizza too, the italiano pizza was just a classic pizza with prosciutto. the aperol spritzes were classy and the entire interior of the restaurant felt quite european. The food also came at appropriate times and we were given appetizers (table bread) pretty frequently. Would definitely recomme

Each time we come it's 5 stars for consistency of food, service and ambiance! My family and I really love this place. Some of the best food in the city. Really phenomenal food and seriously very good service. Hella vegetarian friendly. Good for kids too, my kids are a little older and well behaved, but the staff is very sweet with our kids and our kids always really enjoy the whole dining experience here. We see other families w kids here too lol ...and couples on a date, older and younger couples and groups of friends...and families alike all seem to have happy times here. It's always just a fun vibe each visit and id recommend this place for anyone interested in a really charming restaurant with the most delicious food and wonderful service. Parking does suck though lol, so we Waymo over and it works out great.

I stumbled in here late night, starving, and returned during appropriate dinner hours to pressure test. Hot take - I think this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. The branding outside is so misleading- inside is beautiful (small) and food is so delicious; you just do the happy dance through every bite. I got an authentic Cesar salad, and split the truffle pasta and a pepperoni pizza with a friend. They pre divided the pasta for us into separate bowls which was so nice! Couldn't stop eating my pizza crust and that is indicative of great dough. I also got a virgin mocktail that was super refreshing. Service - while they are super friendly - not super attentive so some room for improvement there. Highly recommend this gem just off Chestnut street!

I ordered the - Buffalo Wings - How Mushroom The buffalo wings were delicious and although on the pricier side, was just good enough for me to overlook it. It comes with green onions as a garnish with a Bleu cheese dip and carrot sticks. The only negative thing about this was that there wasn't enough carrot sticks. The How mushroom was recommended to me by a staff member and I thought was just a little plain; it was on the more bread side which I'm pretty sure is the standard for Detroit style pizza. In all honesty, I wish there was a bit more toppings to accommodate the amount of bread to topping ratio as this felt more of a cheesy bread sticks from Pizza My Heart. My favorite thing about this place is there were chilled glasses with taps for still water and sparkling water, which was free. In honesty, the sparkling water is an essential need to kill the grease in our meal. Overall, the staff were pretty friendly and helpful during the ordering process, the pizza itself wasn't for me. Would I come again? Only if I'm craving pizza and happen to be in the area.

Especially given that we were bringing in our own birthday cake to have and share among our friends that night. Service was generally polite but a bit sparse given how busy it was. I specifically asked whether the kids' pizzas were small personal sizes or large enough to share, and was told they were personal-sized. Unfortunately, we ended up with more food than we could realistically finish and essentially paid for a pizza that went to waste, which was frustrating. The food itself didn't quite meet expectations based on the reviews. One of our pizzas also came out slightly undercooked, but the kids were too tired for us to send it back and wait for a remake, so we just made do. Overall, the experience was just okay, especially compared to other pizza spots we tried during our trip. After visiting places like Tony's, which we loved, this one fell short for us. The restaurant was busy and had a decent energy, and others may have a better experience depending on timing. For us, though, it's not a place we'd return to.
