Pizza La Sorrentina
Christine V.

This was our second stop on a Friday night so we didn't go all out, but I'm really glad we went here. I hadn't been in a while and it definitely held up. We were able to walk in and get seated right away, which felt like a win for a Friday. The vibe was fun. It seemed like a lot of the staff were from Italy, which added to the whole experience. My friend and I got an Aperol spritz and a glass of white, and shared the La Sorrentina. It was sooo good. I loved the stracciatella and how it balanced with the spicy nduja. Everyone was really nice and the service felt easy and welcoming. Would definitely come back again.

Absolutely incredible Italian cuisine! My husband and I come here every time we visit ST and it never disappoints. If you want some truly delicious Italian food, come try! There is street parking, but it is extremely limited. Recommends taking a ride share. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date, celebration, or just a normal night when you crave Italian.

Super cake, chocolaty - no egg

Pizza Margherita and pasta we so good, couldn't take a pic - (we were able to make it without onion or garlic also no egg) all allergies taken care!! Happy us! Thanks Mariano for awesome service!

Soft chewy perfectly cooked crust! Even as takeout pizza, it has become my favorite in the neighborhood and the Marina has a good amount of Italian food to choose from~ Absolutely unassumingly good ^^

I really enjoyed my lunch here! The pizza had a nice thin and crispy crust, and the drinks were really refreshing. There is a nice indoor/outdoor vibe, and we didn't have to wait for a table in the afternoon on the weekend.

Great pasta and pizza. Every time I visit I like how the employees remember some of my menu to-go-to's, as I frequently visit this place for a quick italian meal! Inlike the marinara pizza too

Gnocchi al Pesto

This place is dangerously close to Italy-level pizza, and I almost don't want to write this because some secrets deserve protection. My husband loves the Quattro formaggi pizza, but I bet all the pizzas are amazing. The crust is perfectly blistered and airy with just the right chew, the sauce is bright and restrained, and the toppings are thoughtful rather than overworked. It's the kind of pizza that doesn't need explaining--every bite just makes sense. And then there's the truffle pasta. Deeply rich, indulgent without being heavy, and absolutely addictive. The sausage adds a perfect touch of protein and savoriness that balances the truffle beautifully, making it feel satisfying rather than over-the-top. It's one of those dishes you think about the next day. If you care about balance, quality, and food that feels confidently simple, this is the spot. Order the classics, trust the kitchen, and please... let's not tell everyone. Some secrets are worth keeping.

Each time we come it's 5 stars for consistency of food, service and ambiance! My family and I really love this place. Some of the best food in the city. Really phenomenal food and seriously very good service. Hella vegetarian friendly. Good for kids too, my kids are a little older and well behaved, but the staff is very sweet with our kids and our kids always really enjoy the whole dining experience here. We see other families w kids here too lol ...and couples on a date, older and younger couples and groups of friends...and families alike all seem to have happy times here. It's always just a fun vibe each visit and id recommend this place for anyone interested in a really charming restaurant with the most delicious food and wonderful service. Parking does suck though lol, so we Waymo over and it works out great.

Fettuccine al Salmone
Chris N.

Wow! Great little find in South Beach area. I originally came here to go to Joe's but the wait was over an hour and that's when I saw this little Italian place across the street. I came here to get Pizza but I wind getting Fettuccine Salmone but "forgive me" with chicken. The creamy sauce was rich and full of deliciousness to go along with their house made noodles. You can tell this place uses high quality ingredients and if haven't tried the pastas here, you are missing out. Pure Italian comfort food here. I aim to try the pizza next time here.

Aperol spritz

Couldn't wait 2 hours for Little Joe's across the street so decided to get pizza/italian food right across the street. Probably the best decision I could have made because the pizzas were incredible! The eggplant pizza was just so well done and savory, I've never had eggplant pizza before let alone known it could be that good. Salsiccia was a pretty good pizza too, the italiano pizza was just a classic pizza with prosciutto. the aperol spritzes were classy and the entire interior of the restaurant felt quite european. The food also came at appropriate times and we were given appetizers (table bread) pretty frequently. Would definitely recomme

Pizza Pepperoni

I stumbled in here late night, starving, and returned during appropriate dinner hours to pressure test. Hot take - I think this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. The branding outside is so misleading- inside is beautiful (small) and food is so delicious; you just do the happy dance through every bite. I got an authentic Cesar salad, and split the truffle pasta and a pepperoni pizza with a friend. They pre divided the pasta for us into separate bowls which was so nice! Couldn't stop eating my pizza crust and that is indicative of great dough. I also got a virgin mocktail that was super refreshing. Service - while they are super friendly - not super attentive so some room for improvement there. Highly recommend this gem just off Chestnut street!

Truly authentic Italian pizza!! Definitely recommend getting the one with the fried eggplant. That was absolutely DIVINE. Dining here was amazing, almost felt like I was taken back to Italy. Service was amazing and it's a great date night spot in my opinion! I wish I could come back again!

Montanara Burrata & Prosciutto
Lizzie L.

Three words for an incredible eating experience - MONTANARE NAPOLETANA & MARION! You have not been to Napizza until you have the MONTANARE NAPOLETANA Prosciutto di Parma, burrata cheese. The montanare is like a pizza cream puff topped with cool creamy burrata and savory prosciutto. Add a little of the arugula garnish for the first bite and you wish you had ordered two orders. No sharing next time. Get your own order! They're like eating Italian dumplings that can be inhaled without any regrets. The evening was at an all time high with Marion our server. He topped off and elevated our dining experience with his graciousness and charm. Grazie Mille... we will definitely be back. In the meantime, I will have MONTANARE NAPOLETANA dreams until our return. Ciao.

I started with the pesto gnocchi, which is usually one of my favorite pasta dishes. However, this version lacked flavor and tasted quite bland. I found myself adding extra cheese and salt just to bring out more taste. Even after that, we only ended up eating about 25% of the dish. For me, this one was a 3/10. We also ordered the Mezzemaniche Boscaiola in pink sauce, which was definitely the stronger of the two dishes. The sauce itself was flavorful, and I appreciated the variety of ingredients, including the onions, peas, sausage, and mushrooms. In fact, I found myself enjoying the vegetables more than the pasta itself. My main issue was that the sausage flavor seemed to overpower the sauce and gave it an off taste. It reminded me of the flavor you get when freshly grilled meat is mixed directly into a sauce--it dominated the dish more than I would have liked. I'd rate this one around a 6/10. That said, there were some positives. The pasta was cooked very well--both the rigatoni and gnocchi had great texture and weren't overcooked or too firm. The food was also still hot when we got it, and the sauces held up impressively during transport. Nothing separated or became oily, which is something that can easily happen with takeout pasta. While I can appreciate the quality of the preparation and packaging, the flavors just weren't a match for my taste. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning, but I wish the restaurant continued success

The tuna was rich and smokey in a great milky and fragrant fennel sauce. The hamachi in the root veggie wrap with a slight kick, awesome! And the scallop was good too! My boyfriend liked that one, but I thought the chip on top was over powering. My other favorite, the lamb pasta! Loved that texture. Flavor wise, savory and spicy. It was cold out and really warmed me up. Loved the experience. Our waitress was also awesome and patience. She let me try a few of the wine before settling down on a full body red that went very well with my pasta. Oh and the affogato, yum!! Exactly what we were looking for. The standing area next to the bar was also a cute spot to wait while our table was getting ready. Food-wise, we tried the crudo tasting while the other crudos were fine, they didn't stand out nearly as much as the scallop. The corn and mushroom pasta was very tasty, especially the sauce. We also tried the pesto pasta, which also had excellent texture, but the sauce tasted a bit more charred than I would have liked. Overall, I thought the atmosphere and dining experience were stronger than any individual dish. The communal seating and lively dining area gave the restaurant a great energy. I can see why this place is popular, and the tasting menu is a fun way to try a variety.
