This was our second attempt to eat here on a Sunday afternoon. On our first visit we didn't eat and had to leave because they were out of fries. Now that we've finally made it I ordered the hot dang chicken sandwich, my wife and son ordered the same but different heat levels, my youngest daughter had the kids nuggets meal my other daughter refused to order anything because on our first visit she said she smell a bad smell but she ended eating the 2 chicken tender pieces I ordered for myself to try. We placed our order at 6:55pm and received the food 7:45pm even though we did not complain to anyone about the delay but it was amazing when our waitress came before we leave and offered to every single one of us a dessert. This shows a lot about the staff. Regarding the food, everything was definitely FRESHLY made which we don't mind the wait for fresh food however there was nothing special in the taste of the food but I'd say all in all "above average". My only recommendation would be from an observation that my kid have made when he received his drink, let the customers open their own straws and don't bring the drinks with the straws already inserted because when you get some picky eaters like my little one they probably won't like that. Service was great! Helped us determine which seasoning and sides we would like best. Yelpers who complained that it wasn't hot enough.... THEY LISTENED! They have heated up their spices, the hot dang xx spice was just perfect, hot but not too hot. Need the ranch but even better the cucumber watermelon salad to compliment the heat. If you are looking for a KFC kind of chicken, this is not it. If you are looking for the best, moist, fresh tasting, not greasy fried chicken.... you have found it at Nashbird. Our server was Chelsea and she was amazingly attentive and helpful! The mac and cheese is more mac than cheese flavored, the bread crumb topping was delicious. Fries were so so. Onion rings were sweet and perfectly cooked. The iced tea was even so very tasty. My husband had the southern fried chicken which he said was the best fried chicken he has had in his life! The potato salad was very good and he would definitely order it again! So when we go back which we are already planning, I'd get the watermelon cucumber salad for sure, onion rings and chicken tenders just wish I could get one done with southern fried, one buttermilk ranch and one hot dang cause that will still be the toughest decision. read more

This is the type of chicken we have been missing. I cannot day enough good things about the chicken. It's slightly sweet, packed with flavor and can be a fireball. There is a quick jump from chirp to kickin. I enjoy dang hot but !!!!!! took the fun out of it. The sides are lacking. Everything needed salt. The watermelon salad was great and I liked the fries. Chicken ( comfort food) at its finest . Ate Fried Pickles , Hot Mac N Cheese, & a Chicken Biscuit followed by one of the chocolate chip cookies they bake in-house. Only complaint is the proximity to train tracks which are loud enough to drown out conversation if eating outside. read more

We went to Nashbird on a Friday at 1200. There was a line, but they were pushing through it quickly. The lady taking our order was friendly and was able to recommend one of their beers on tap for our lunch. Our food arrived within 10 minutes of sitting down. We got the white meat basket. My wife got the low heat and I got the medium. The skin was very crunchy and the meat was tender. I appreciated the heat because it builds, they didn't just throw a lot of spice that hits you at first bite. We both really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back. read more

I just paid $20 for a chicken sandwich and 2 orders of fries and coleslaw. I only got 1 order of fries in my bag and they were seasoned very unevenly. The chicken on the sandwich only covered 1/3 of the bun. The coleslaw was good though. I also asked for a side of honey mustard and it was also not in the bag with my other order of fries. read more

What a waste of money. It was ~$34.00 for two chicken sandwiches, with sides, and two drinks. This wasn't even fast food level food. My sandwich was so greasy that it pooled in the basket it was served it. (That's right! $34 for something served in a basket!) The mac & cheese tasted like soggy day old cereal and off milk. I don't know how a place can charge so much for food that is so hard to screw up. The service doesn't make up for it either. Had a fantastic experience! Tried the hot dang! chicken sandwich and mixed basket, onion rings, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese. All of the food was very delicious! The hot dang! spice level is perfect for those who like it hot. The meal was washed down with an ice cold rosé slushie which was a perfect ending to our meal. Came here for the first time mid-day on a Wednesday. I had the Fried Chicken Sandwich ( X or chirp for heat, the easiest dose of spice) and Mac and cheese. Also, had the frozen moscato/rosé swirl. The drink was bomb. Definitely recommend if you want something cold and yummy. The chicken sandwich had pickles and slaw and came with a side of ranch and pickle ranch. The pickle ranch was really yummy. The chirp spice was perfect for me and the food was hot and fresh. My friend had XX for heat and she said it was definitely spicy. My family and I ate at Nashbird yesterday. Chicken was bland and dry, hot food was served cold, cold food was served warm. Wait staff was horrible and atmosphere was loud with all the banging on plastic buckets that was going on behind the bar. After a long drive from Fort Worth with my infant daughter and husband, we were looking for somewhere delicious to eat, and this place hit the spot. We were greeted at the counter by a young man who was more than patient with us while we looked over the menu. We started off with macaroni and cheese poppers, which were perfectly crispy. My husband and I both ordered 3 piece tenders. He ordered the hot dang and I ordered the kickin. I've never once seen my spice loving husband sweat or tear up while eating, but I did today. My order was very spicy but manageable for my heat tolerance. My sides were the watermelon and cumber salad and mac and cheese which were tasty and refreshing. The manager, I didn't catch her name, but she was beautiful thin lady stopped by our table several times to make conversation. She gave my husband a sample of the coleslaw to cut the heat on his chicken, which he had to take a small break from to get his bearings. I tasted a small bite, and it was a very tasty vinegar base slaw which definitely help cut the heat. Whenever we're traveling it always hard to know if places are child friendly, and this place was more than welcoming. I definitely wish there was a place like this in Fort Worth. We come here quite often and the owner, Mark, always greets us and even knows ours names! They've improved so much since opening and it's one of our favorites places to go. My husband enjoys the Hot Dang spiciness where I just stick with the southern fried, each is delicious! I don't know that either of us have had something we didn't love. Smallish restaurant with patio seating right next to active railroad tracks. You order at the counter and are given a number for the food to be delivered to your table. We both ordered white meat baskets, which came with a breast, a wing and two sides. For my first side I had the onion rings, good, but didn't seem fresh made. For my second side I had slaw - tasty with a lemony zing. My SO had Fries and Slaw. The fries were pedestrian and she did not care for the slaw. The chicken on both our plates was juicy, tender and spicy. I had the "Crazy Hot" made with ghost peppers and it was very hot but still very tasty. And it is not recommended for the faint of heart. My SO had the "Hot Dang", made with Habanero, which she said was pretty dang hot - and also tasty. All of the chicken pieces were large (Biggest darned wings I've ever had) and my SO could not finish her meal because she was full. They offer 4 heat levels - Chirp, Kickin', Hot Dang!, and Crazy Hot - as well as Buttermilk Ranch and Southern Fried variations (no Heat.) The only error was the breast served to my SO - it was a back and had little to no meat. We told the wait-person and he took it back to the kitchen and it was quickly replaced with a breast along with apologies for the mistake. Was it what I expected, yes, I could see from the outside of the house that this was going to be a unique experience and it fulfilled the my expectations. Do not order from this place and expect to get your order correct, not because the people @ the place of business are terrible, but the delivery service they use is so bad, Postmates. Their website is so inadequate, if you need to correct anything, it won't let you. The only way to fix an order is to cancel it entirely and reorder. The trick is that you can't cancel!! What a rip off!! $100.00 gone!! Tell everybody you know not to use Postmates. I am afraid that now they have my credit card #, there is no telling what will happen. read more

The chicken is hot. That's it! There is absolutely not one detail anyone could give me to describe the flavor of the chicken. This is a five out of six people consensus. The sixth person enjoyed the slushie wine beverage only. The Mac and cheese is awesome in photos but is a Kraft Mac and cheese Lite version with breadcrumbs sprinkled on top as it leaves the kitchen window. The biscuit was salty. How on God's, good, green earth you manage to mess up a biscuit is beyond me. It needed butter or less salt. Perhaps they are made ahead and salt is used to preserve them but it's really bad tasting. Pleasantly surprised by this place. Atmosphere is fresh and hip. Chicken is juicy and very crisp. Flavors are good, though not very spicy. Admittedly, nothing is ever spicy enough to me though. I got the Crazy Hot and found it to be more on the light to medium side of heat level personally. My husband and son got the southern fried version without spice. Whether it's an authentic version of Nashville hot chicken I don't know. I just thought it was good fried chicken. I enjoyed the outside seating however it is right next to a railroad crossing but on a nice evening it is very nice. I liked it here but I would recommend The Drumroom instead. We absolutely love Nashville chicken and our favorite has got to be Hattie B's, hands down. So when we found out about this place (thank you, internet) we were stoked. It isn't perfect, but it's very very good. It sits next to a very train track but they sound proofed the windows so you can't tell. I wouldn't want to eat outside though with all that racket. The restaurant was small but fit the bill. The employees were extremely helpful and nice and the military discount was a huge benefit! We had a large group so we had a combo of tenders (buttermilk), the Nashvillan in Chirp, the regular chicken sandwich, the dark meat in Dang Hot, and two kids meals. The kids meals were a bit small but it seemed to be enough. The tenders were juicy and there were no complaints. They repurpose the sides into the toppings for the sandwiches which is smart for them financially, I'm sure. The sides were pretty good, nothing spectacular though (we had all of them). The dark chicken pieces were a very small compared to the large portions you get in Nashville. However, the flavor was good. It seemed kinda mild for being near the top of the spice scale though. They could probably notch it up more. For where we are in the country, it does well, and we will be back. Best of luck to you guys. read more

Went to Nashbird tonight with friends and it was an overall good experience. We ordered fried pickles, Mac poppers, Rose slushes, and chicken baskets. The Appetizers were small but very yummy...Probably the best part of our meal. The chicken was tasty, but overpriced in my opinion. I got the hot dang and it a good kind of spicy.
