It's been 4 months in my portable potty rental and every month National fails to properly service the toilet every week. I have to literally stand over the driver and ensure they're filling up the paper towels, water in the tank, and soap. The driver was a no-show for 2 weeks and the dispatcher had the audacity to tell me that my jobsite was in-accessible, and I was not answering my phone. So, I asked for him to provide call-logs, and he quickly changed his story and said the driver got lost, and then succummbed to my request for getting credit returned back. We contracted them for temporary pole service last December 2024, they charge us $800+ for the pole, they never mentioned that they charge $500 for carrying the pole to the site and $500 for hand digging the hole. Their employees offered for us to save money by paying them $500 cash, we haggled a little bit and gave $450, we were left with no choice but to pay. I had to use one of these units (2-25-2021) and the last time this unit had been cleaned was 02-10-2021 (15 days of filth). This is totally inhumane. This is far beyond negligence. I was planning for a big gathering in my home in Pasadena. I called several port-a--patty companies. They were all extremely overpriced. Luckily I found National Construction Rentals. From first contact I knew they were exactly what I wanted. The booking agent was smart, friendly and courteous. I didn't have to repeat anything to her several times....the price was the lowest of any of the other companies I had already called. They rang me the day before to tell me at what time to expect delivery. Delivery was smooth. The driver was pleasant and worked quickly. The Port-a-Potty looked brand new! It was fully stocked with three rolls of tissue paper. He added 3 discs of fragrance/deodoriser. It arrived two days early so I didn't have to worry that it might not arrive at all. On the Monday morning after the event they rang to let me know at what time it would be picked up, which was great! I paid $192.00 which is a lot cheaper than hiring a plumber after some guest stops up your plumbing and I didn't have to have people wandering around inside my house unsupervised... since it was a garden party. read more

The terrible reviews are REAL. These guys are the WORST. I took two separate days off work and they screwed up their schedule both times and didn't show up. Then they showed but didn't finish the fencing because the fence line is tricky and their driver had to get to the next job. Then they sent someone out to look at the fenceline who confirmed they could actually do it and when I took another day off to wait for them, THE VERY SAME GUY showed up and said he couldn't. Then I spoke to Cindy and she said she'd send yet another crew out (and yes, I'd have to take another day off). Frustrated, I left a message for the manager (David Bishop) who didn't call me back. Corporate office routed me back to him. They obviously all hate their jobs. They will never stop calling if you haven't paid your monthly bill (due to THEIR complications), but don't expect a call back if you need to speak to a manager. If they screw up, don't expect them to consider that one iota when rescheduling or trying to fix a problem. Maybe if you are a construction company they are ok to work with (although from their other bad reviews, it doesn't look like it) but as a private citizen, I'd learn to install fences myself, alone, with nothing but a handheld post driver in the blazing LA summer sun and a thimble of water before ever calling them again. read more

I just spoke to Ms. Herrera over the phone, she had a very bad attitude. I called to cancel service because they rescheduled the cleaning service of a portable toilet I'm renting with them without letting me know. According to them they change the cleaning schedule once a month with out letting the customers know about the changes. That's very inconvenient for me because the gate is always lucked except for the day of the service, I tried choosing a day permanently for service, but I guess that doesn't work for them. I think as a customer they should at least give us a chance to pick the day of cleaning. I also called 2 weeks ago, 3 days before cleaning scheduled to let them know not to come to do service because the toilet was cleaned since the last service and they still send the guy to do service just charge me. I work for a company, in the construction yard, that uses Nat'l for the portable toilets and hand washing stations. The ones we use for the women were pretty disgusting and we were having different issues with them. It took a little convincing but I was able to get Frank, the dispatcher, to replace them. They're not new, but they are in much better condition then the ones we had (except they sent ones that don't have fans). So, thank you Frank for replacing them. At least they smell and look clean, although very worn. The techs that come service them are always friendly and professional. Kuddos to them for doing as good of a job as they can.
