Had a set of double sinks, one of which the water drained slowly. Called Nautilus. They came out and the tech thought replacing parts in the other sink that wasn't clogged was the right move. $900 later, my problem is NOT FIXED. I called them back out and they blamed my husband who they said instructed them to fix the other sink. Yeah, right. That's when I realized their techs are NOT REAL PLUMBERS. I talked to the manager who took up for their tech - no surprise. Overall, I won't use them EVER AGAIN! Plenty of REAL plumbers out there to chose from. read more

To respond to their comment: they can refute these claims all they want but they said to my face that the valve to shut off the water was broken and they could not turn it off despite our garage flooding without us signing a $5K work order. I was standing right there when the new company came and immediately and easily shut off the water. Plus that is categorically untrue that all water heaters need to manually be relit, you think a plumbing company would know that. If you look down at other reviews you'll see this gaslighting is a trend of theirs, especially with women. Initial review: These people are complete scammers. We called them for service with our gas valve, and they told us we needed to replace a part which I've now learned from a different plumber wasn't necessary. After they installed the new unnecessary part they charged us $1200 for, they opened our water tank to relight the burner. Fast forward to a few days later and our water tank has burst and flooded our garage. We called them back to come look at the water tank and they told us that not only did we need a new tank but that the valve to turn the water off was stuck and they couldn't turn our water off unless we signed a $5K work order which we refused to do. We had another plumber come and they turned off the water immediately, and confirmed that our water tank should not be opened up to be relit as it is automatic, and that is most likely what caused it to burst in the first place. To sum up: -they charged us $1200 for a part we didn't need -they messed with our water tank causing it to burst and needing to be replaced -the tried to extort $5K from us to turn the water off, lying to our faces saying it was broken I'm reporting this company to the BBB and highly warn anyone against hiring them if you value honesty read more

Ahhhh... The power of yelp. Giving credit where credit is due, after posting my review I was contacted by the good people of nautilus plumbing and after some back and forth, they informed me that there was a mistake by the marketing team, but that they would honor the advertised price. Full disclosure, they did ask me to remove my previous review, but I feel like it's better left as is to best tell the whole story. The technicians did come to perform the service, they did show up on time and made an attempt to clear the drain. For that, 4 stars. -1 star only because of the previous mix up... Due to a combination of old cast iron pipes and grease build up from the tenant pouring fats, oils, and grease down the drain *editors note: DON'T SEND FATS, OILS, OR GREASE DOWN THE DRAIN* we ended up needing to replace some pipes. I think the real story here is that Yelp has some power to it. Is it perfect? No. Not even close. Does it give consumers a tool to use when they have a bad experience with a business? Yes! It also affords businesses who understand that this is the modern day version of word of mouth advertising the opportunity to do the right thing. Based on their follow up and attentiveness to Yelp reviews, I will give nautalis another opportunity when I need plumbing services. Maybe next time they earn the full 5 stars... Good was they came out promptly for a leak under our home for irrigation. Also found 16 feet of bad cold water copper line. Also said our irrigation line was in the dirt under our house and should be replaced which was around 160 feet of copper and then have this line suspended off the dirt . Total was 3800. Next day they found a leaky sprinkler valve and a frozen irrigation pressure regulator so this to replace was 1800. Then I told about a leaky washer shut off valve and a soft water system plumbing involving replacing five round turning knobs with ball levers and two four foot sections of copper piping and this would have been 2550. My own plumber did these two items for 750. Take home point when you need emergency leak work only stick to task needed and nothing else because when calling emergency plumbing you pay twice one for workers and one for management. read more

My husband and I had a serious plumbing issue and ended up having to cancel our wedding anniversary plans to go away for the weekend. The water from the kitchen sink suddenly stopped and Nautilus Plumbing came out for an inspection and not only identified the problem immediately, but said they were able to take care of it the next day. It is important to note that this happened on a Saturday, during Labor Day weekend. While it did take the entire day, they were able to dig up and replace the front pipes to the main waterline, as well as replace the kitchen sink. We had just replaced the sink 2 years ago but they were able to get a newer model of the one we had installed. Additionally, Nautilus Plumbing had to come back a few days later to patch up the hole, and redo the cement on the sidewalk but overall, it was pretty seamless. When they showed us the pipes, we thought they had a log in their hand. I honestly don't even know how ANY water got through! The next day, we had a plumbing issue with the toilet and they came out and addressed that issue as well. Was given a quote for $2,390. to reinstall an existing sink and service an existing water heater. While the work was being done and my wall was now cut open and the sink removed, I was told that the adjacent pipe needed to be cleaned and that it would cost an additional $450.00 to clean the few feet of pipe. I saw the pipe myself and it wasn't too bad but the 2 workers didn't want to continue until I agreed to this, I had no choice but to agree to the extra charge and disagree later. They also wouldn't repair the wall they put a hole in or attach the water heater housing to the wall. I emailed this disagreement to the company and they claim this was because that the machine (which was NOT used at all) had to clean an almost solid blocked pipe (it wasn't - I saw it). They used a hand crank type snake. The total paid so far is $2,790.00. This really seems way too high for the less than 5 hours work and few materials. I'm only asking for the extra $450.00 and it would be nice if they would fix the hole and WH housing but I won't hold my breath. Once gone with my money, they're gone. read more

I really don't like to write a bad review, but my experience with this company deserves it. This is the second time we've called them (first time it was expensive, but the plumbers were at our house the entire day and it was warranted) and this was to fix a jammed garbage disposal. I was told that they would wave the $180 service fee because we were return customers. Great! When I came home and realized that they had charged my husband $250 to use their tool to remove something from the disposal that took 1 minute I was irritated. I assumed that they had accidentally charged me the service fee on top of their plumbing fees. It turns out that I was wrong. When I called the company to complain, they said that the plumbers were at my house for over 45 mins, and that this was the price. Now I was angry. I ended up having to send them the video of how long the plumbers were actually in my house ( from start to finish including paperwork 10 and a half minutes) and in the end they told me that $250 was the correct price. I'm okay to pay for a service but not only did the plumbers lie about the amount of time they were in my house, a $250 charge seems really, really unfair to me. The company also did nothing to solve this issue. I would look elsewhere for your plumbing needs. You don't want people who are not honest doing any job in your home! read more

We had an emergency call since our house has an underground garage and some pipe from above was leaking and causing the water from the leak to drip all over my car. I called and they booked me that same day, which was perfect considering I had work in the afternoon and was available during their morning times. Two technicians arrived and they were very Cautious as to not dirty or damage the surrounding areas. Apparently the walls behind our water heater had a pipe that wasn't sealed correctly, causing the wall pipes to leak underground in the garage. They had to open the wall next to the water heater and replace the broken pipe with a brand new one. Of course there was a mess but they helped to clean up and patch the wall nicely afterwards. They told me all the warnings, such as making sure the hot water turns on after 2-3 hours since they had to move the heater and they also called back to make sure the hot water was running fine. I'm glad I called Nautilus, they were super attentive and worked in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them and use them in the future in any plumbing case! read more

I requested service through their form on Yelp, and they responded quickly with details and with their own request for me to confirm a time, which I did for the next morning. Shortly before the appointment window I called to correct some information I'd provided regarding our brand of toilet, and it turns out they never received my appointment confirmation. I was told "the person who handles our Yelp appointments didn't tell us." Okey doke then. She apologized and said she'd find someone to come out that day and call me back. Great! I gave her our brand of toilet and waited for her callback. Ten minutes later she called back and said no one was available and that "no one was familiar" with our toilet brand. I was...confused. I'm not going to pretend I'm a plumbing professional, but isn't a toilet a toilet, mechanically speaking? I asked this question, and she said no one could help me. Brilliant. Incidentally I searched for the brand online after I hung up the phone and immediately found the company website and numerous models for sale. We've used Nautilus for 5 years for all of our plumbing needs. Always honest, upfront, quick and the work has been great. Mike or Sergio are usually the guys who come when we make a call. Both are awesome. Our house is 90 years old and had fallen into disrepair before we bought it as a flip, so there has been a lot more than average that has needed to get updated/ replaced/ repaired. Mike and Jesus most recently came and rerouted a drain from an old unused pipe to our main line. In and out super fast. The work was excellent. We also had Evan out who managed a crew replacing our sewer line (90-old year old clay line had gotten roots and cracked). They worked diligently over two days to dig, pull it out and replace the sewer line, and put in a sleeve on our old cast iron line under the house. Due to a torrential downpour, they had to take a long break, so attached the line temporarily (in the rain) before they finished the cleanouts so we would be able to use the bathroom and sinks, etc. They even did a great job preserving as much of our grass as possible from the trench, cutting it out in sod squares so it could be replaced and grow back in as quickly as possible. We've had our hot water heater replaced by them, and they handled all the conversations with the manufacturer of our faulty one so we could get it replaced expediently. We had water leaking from the ceiling of our house. We called Nautilus at 8am and by 8:30am Bella was at our house. She quickly identified a pinhole leak in a pipe and had it fixed within two hours. She also advised that the leak had caused some moisture in the walls and recommended having it evaluated before closing up the wall to prevent mold growth. She was so helpful, so professional and knowledgeable, and so fast. Can't recommend Nautilus (who we've been using for years) and Bella enough. read more

We asked for simple moving of a gas line, to which they found a mysterious water leak on newly remodeled kitchen, and said they would fix everything for 1550.00. I was really grateful the day Nautilus plumbing came to service my home-- I had sewage seeping out of the bottom of my toilet, and coming up and out of my shower. My entire bathroom floor was flooded. This was the middle of the day, and I was working from home. I knew something had to be done ASAP. So I called Nautilus plumbing. They came and had to pull the toilet out in order to run a sewer cable because the pipes were backed up and there is no 4' clean-out at my house. The tech ran the sewer cable to clean out and reset the toilet. He left tools and his boot prints all over the bathroom floor. He made no attempt to look into what was going on with the shower. However, the toilet wasn't leaking out sewage anymore...so I thought the $400.00 bill I received a week later was worth it. What a fool I was to believe this technician. He is a disgustingly manipulative and dishonest business man-- The problem he told me he had rectified was only a TEMPORARY FIX, which I learned 3 months later when the sewage began flooding my bathroom and shower AGAIN. I had been charged close to $400.00 for Nautilus plumbing to essentially put a puny BANDAID on a wound that needed stitches. The plumber, SERGIO, knew exactly what he had done. He knew this was going to eventually going to happen again. And yet, he took $400.00 out of my pocket anyway. When I called him this morning to come and remedy the situation AGAIN, he came right away. I expected service FREE OF CHARGE because I had paid for him to FIX the problem, and the problem is clearly still not fixed. However, Sergio refused to provide any service free of charge. He said he would be more than happy to "fix" the problem again, but at a cost. I told him this was absurd-- because if he had truly fixed the problem that I had paid him to fix, then he wouldn't have to fix it AGAIN. He told me if I wasn't going to pay him for the additional service, he was going to leave. And that he did... The sewage that has now flooded my bathroom floor again is a very serious health hazard to myself, my housemates, and our pets. And we are being exposed the various diseases carried by RAW SEWAGE, because Nautilus plumbing made a false claim, robbed me of $400.00, and refused to follow up when time exposed their lie merely four months later. Not only will I never call Nautilus plumbing again, I will also be addressing this issue with my lawyer by my side. I hope this company decides to be true to their word, and rectify the very serious issue that I PAID them to remedy. The last thing I want to do is cause anyone else problems. But I paid these people in good faith to solve mine, and all I've been left with is a bathroom STILL soaking in raw sewage and hundreds of dollars + two full days lost to filth and frustration. read more

We have used Nautilus Plumbing many times before for small and large jobs. This time, we noticed a growing leak spot in the parkway in front of our house next to the sidewalk. We called Nautilus and made an appointment for them to come take a look the next day. Got a call soon after saying they could actually come out within an hour, which they did! They quickly assessed the issue and plugged the leaking irrigation pipe. They kept us informed of what they were doing the whole time they were here, and left the site neat and cleaned up.
