June 30,2024 Sunday afternoon We came here after church for brunch. The number one reason we chose this place is that the Nectar in Bluffton is our favorite restaurant in the area. So it's a natural than to go to the one in Hilton Head. As a drink I got a blueberry mojito. It wasn't great in fact I couldn't even finish it. Hubby and I shared a dozen wings with peach sauce they tasted good. Next I had the special of the shrimp melt with the nectar salad. We shared a banana cream pie. The service was great and sitting outside we were surprised more people weren't enjoying the beautiful day outdoors. After we got home we both went back to bed didn't feel great after eating. We have eaten outside at the other location without issue. The food is definitely different. I love you Nectar but all my return visits will be down the road in Bluffton instead. read more

By far the best place for dinner on Hilton Head! I love their breakfast, but I love the dinner more. Great service, solid beer and drink menu and a large menu that has something for everyone. The Hilton head location is much nicer and high-end than the Bluffton one, the inside is elegant, trendy and romantic, it's a good choice for a date night. I am really getting into their selection of local beer and love the new Blonde that they brew locally! If you are looking for a nice dinner on the Island, Nectar should be the top choice. read more

Too bougie for its own good?? An excellent place for adults but not for kids?? My wife and I dined for breakfast today (9/19/2025) with our two little boys. She and I loved our food, but we spent a lot on our sons meals only to find out the syrup was this real Vermont style syrup and when we asked for whipped cream for my sons waffle, they served us a sweet potato based whipped cream, which our amazing server brought us a sample of... I ate it and didn't mind, but my kids didn't want it, even after a little taste. I asked if they had a can of Redi-Whip, but no, so I left the restaurant and drove down the street to Kroger and bought a can. Kids don't want bougie food... simple and familiar food is what they want. read more

We came here for the first time for breakfast, and my friend and I ordered the biscuit basket. The buttermilk biscuits were good, very tangy. The fresh fruit compote was wonderful. But the best part was the sweet potato biscuits. Great flavor, a little bit, sweet, really fabulous with butter. My husband had scrambled eggs and sausage, and he said it was really great. We went here for breakfast on the way back to the airport. Although our time was rushed, we had a fabulous breakfast. The omelets were delicious and cooked perfectly. They were not "fried tasting" which so many are or underdone. The hash browns (which we normally don't eat) were the best we ever tasted. Not greasy or heavy. My husband had the Eggs Benedict which was also very good. And did we mention the hush puppies -- not to be missed! Our only complaint was that it took a bit for the food to arrive. We were quite rushed, but the manager intervened and the food came out pronto after his nudging. Plenty of parking in the plaza which is a plus. Can't wait to return when we have more time. Our final meal was breakfast here yesterday morning around 9:30am. We entered and requested a table for two. We were led to a nice booth alongside the windows. Being our last meal in Lowcountry hubby & I both leaned toward Lowcountry influenced items. Yes grits and sweet potato biscuits. Hubby got the southern breakfast comprised of two eggs, thick bacon, sweet potato biscuit and grits. I ordered the bennies biscuit which was like an eggs benedict. Two poached eggs atop green fried tomatoes with thick slices of bacon atop sweet potato biscuit. Ramon was our server. He was friendly and helpful. Our coffee cups were refilled. It took awhile for our breakfast orders but Ramon updated us. We were in a rush towards the end of our meal cuz I got a call about winning a prize from a raffle. The deviled eggs are fantastic. Best I've ever had. The brussel sprouts were also very good. Hush puppies were okay. Heavy batter and not a unique flavor to them. I had the short rib and it was mediocre at best. For the price it was very disappointing as the roast we make at home is much better. The creamed collards we're not good. The mashed potatoes were fine. The chicken wings are not sauced, you have to add it yourself. They were fine. Service was okay, hard to get our waitresses attention at times. Nice atmosphere. Based on the reviews and pictures it sounds like it shines for breakfast, but I don't know if I feel that way about dinner. read more

Note: the air conditioning was not working + it's July + it's South Carolina. Eating when you're super hot and it's a crowded place is not always enjoyable. So I docked a star for that. They had a huge air unit working in the corner but where we were seated, there was no air flow. Service: she was nice enough. It was the minimum needed and she did that. Was helpful with dietary needs and the orders were all done well. Food: good spot for different needs - vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters along with kids menus. I always find that to be a good thing and so it was appreciated. The food itself was tasty. The ambiance is good, casual, but it's an IG trendsetter dream. We love the fact that they have booths. Their she crab soup was the best I've ever had. I'm a foodie with an affinity for she crab, so this is really saying something. My husband had the fried shrimp & chicken with fries and slaw. It was very good. Such a large portion we took one large chicken tender and made it into a sandwich the next day. My shrimp fettuccine primavera was light and ok. Nothing wrong with it and nothing to write home about. The key lime pie was also very good. Flapjacks is where it's at. After a long hard weekend of golf (RBC) and partying. I needed some sustenance to endure the drive back to Atlanta. My best bud took me to this place on a Sunday am on HHI. Ice cold water. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Coffee. Lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry topping. Wrap up convo with Scott. To make it through the drive home. I really wasn't looking for anything else. The place was clean, bright, spacious, servers were ok. Took a little long for the food to arrive, the runner wasn't very polite. But all in all, I would make a second trip here and sit outside. It's beautiful in HHI. read more

We like all the SERG restaurants and we're finally able to try this one. We sat at the bar and the service was great. I ordered the kitchen sink bowl with a biscuit and side of fruit. We went twice on this trip. Food was excellent. Service in the bar area was disappointingly slow when the restaurant was busy.

We got to the restaurant right at 4 and were seated right away. We asked about happy hour and the waitress said it was really for the bar area but they accommodated us any way! The happy hour menu had peel and shrimp - they were delicious. Cooked just right and very fresh tasting. We ordered the shrimp platter with coleslaw and "chips" and a salad with added portobello mushroom. The shrimp and "chips" were very good and the salad was yummy. This time my husband had country breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, and a sweet potato biscuit. He also ordered a side pancake - their pancakes are huge. I had country omelette with city ham, country sausage, bacon, and onions with creamy grits and a sweet potato biscuit. I had the swordfish from the brunch menu and it was outstanding. It was blackened and flavorful, but not too salty. The mac & cheese and fresh vegetables were very good. Others in my party had the seafood omelette and meat omelette. They loved it. The side biscuit is outstanding. Nectar was recommended to us by a other hotel guest at the Hilton. We were not disappointed! My husband and I both had breakfast. I ordered the "Country Fried Steak" it was amazing!!! The menu has a nice mix of basic staples and unique items. I had the chicken and waffle, which was tasty with the hot honey. The waffle is actually a savory sausage waffle, which is unique. My wife enjoyed her eggs, and the biscuit basket appetizer was tasty. They are apparently known for their jumbo pancakes. We ordered them and they were just ok. I had chocolate chip pancakes and they were enormous and delicious (I would recommend ordering just one they are so large). We had a pretty good dinner here, but my hopes were higher! We shared the Cobb salad with garlic ranch dressing. It was pretty good. Lots of chicken on the salad. We had hoped to try the deviled eggs, but they were out. for our entree, we shared the surf and turf trio. The shrimp were overcooked and under-seasoned. The steak was a little under-seasoned, and there was a lot of it that we couldn't chew. The winner on the plate was definitely the crab cake. Very rich and delicious. My husband and I ordered takeout for brunch during our vacation on the island. We found this place by searching through Yelp and really liked the menu. I was really excited to try the sticky bun because the pictures looked amazing. We called in an order for the sticky bun, hush puppies, and southern poutine. The price was about the same as everywhere else, so we didn't spend a crazy amount. Our food was ready when we picked it up and everything came out perfect. The sticky bun was incredible and big enough to split. It was moist, perfectly sweet, and had the most delicious cream cheese frosting. I definitely felt the sugar rush afterwards, but it was such a treat! The hush puppies were crispy and paired well with the whipped butter. The breakfast poutine was tasty as well and loaded with toppings. I was impressed with how fresh everything tasted since it was takeout. I would love to dine in the restaurant next time and would go back solely for the sticky bun! read more

Our party of 4 had a great eating/drinking experience last evening at Nectar on HH. We arrived about 6:30 with no reservations, (was last minute idea) hostess said about 1 wait or we can sit at the bar. Fortunately, there were 4 of us and we did manage to fit at the bar. Wonderful bartender, Keturah, took care of us over the next hr or so. She was very attentive to all her customers at the bar, and had 3 booths within the bar area, that she also handled. Keturah asked the hostess several times, when we first arrived, about the two booths that were free; and both times hostess came back and said they were reserved. Time passed, as we ate and drank, and one couple did arrive and take one of the booths in the bar area. Other booth remained empty the entire time we were at the bar. Having said that, we had a great time interacting with Keturah right where we were. I would recommend reservations, but sitting at the bar was a great experience, had food/appetizers and drinks. Highly recommend Nectar, HH, you will enjoy your time with Keturah. read more

You can only find this gem in a small corner of South Carolina. I had the Chicken and Waffles. The chicken is very flavorful and I love my food seasoned the waffle was an actual Belgian waffle with an airy taste and texture. Soooo good! I would have given 5 stars but the blueberry pancakes were not cooked all the way and had to be sent back and it took a very long time for our food to come out. read more
