Your best bet is to get the manager to remember your face/name ;)*** It's a THIN line between love and hate with me and Neo Nails. I'm going to keep it short and list the Good, the Bad, and the Fugly. Good: The staff is friendly and the owner does the meanest eyebrow wax ever. I've gotten many compliments on her work. Bad: Depending on what time of day you come, they may send you home. As a testament to their fame, they get swamped. Therefore, I always call the owner for her approval before I come, which she does, as my insurance policy. Fugly: One day I got my brows done and the owner took off a piece of my skin as a souvenir. It was tiny, but took forever to heal and it was the first time that ever happened to me at any establishment. Yet, ask me if I still go back...you know the answer. Another occasion, the owner left early, and the ladies let their hair down and went loose! When the boss is away, those girls will play. At first, I was happy to see them relax and chat freely. That didn't last long. They did a quickie job on my nails, ladies! Don't you hate that?! I hate that, because I know they aren't doing their best, but I'm still obligated by my morals to tip courteously. Then, while they were laughing and giggling all over the place, they let me sit in the chair without assistance for 15 minutes before ushering me out the door. No nail dryer/or lamp. Nothing. Needless to say, 5 minutes later I ruined my nails. This would have been okay, but my nails were sports car RED and I was headed to a wedding in Reno that weekend. I think it made me cry at some point, mounted with other stress. In other words, this place and I have made up, but someday I'm sure we're going to have a fight that lands me at a new patronage. read more

I really liked this place! I went on a Thursday afternoon as a walk-in and they definetly had time to give me a pedicure. All the ladies there were really nice and spoke very good English. Most places I've been to they can't hold a conversation with me, but these ladies were totally sweet. I felt really welcome there and I noticed that the ladies treated their regular customers like family. My pedicure was awesome and my feet look really good. I like the fact that they carry OPI nail polish, so I know my polish will stay on for awhile. It started raining while I was there and they told me I could stay until the rain let up a little bit and one of them offered to walk me to my car with an umbrella. How cool is that?! I feel so feminine and funky! I recently watched a Japanese flick and every women in it had fab nails! I then decided that I had to have art on my nails. As soo I went to Neo I made a appointment 30 minutes before I came in, the ladies were very nice. This was the first time getting my nails done, since I was 14 (school dance). This place is not all that. I went there today for a fill...it was mediocre at best. I went here because I thought the pictures of the nail designs on this page looked cool, but I got french tips painted on instead because none of the designs that were actually available looked very good to me. I couldn't decide whether to give this place three stars or two...I almost gave three stars since my nails weren't jacked up, but in the end I went with two...you guys deserve a realistic perspective. The overly generous reviews are very misleading. My technician was ok, but wasn't that friendly. When I went to wash my hands, someone else had to tell me that they had warm towels available, because my technician hadn't even bothered to mention it. I doubt that I'll go here again...nothing spectacular about this place at all. I can go to some hole in the wall by my house for mediocre service and save myself some gas. read more

So far I have gotten 2 pedicures and 1 set of nails here. I loved both of my pedicures and both times I got the lavender scrub for $25. Loved it. Both times my nails have felt great and it was really relaxing. They have a few nice tvs so you can watch tv or read a magazine while getting your pedicure. Another plus is that the tools they use are clean. They always come out of a sterilized sealed packet, this made me a lot less nervous about getting a pedicure here. The only reason I am not giving them a higher is because when I got my gel set of nails I did not like them that much. One lady was not in that could do the design I wanted so I had to get something else. Also, I already had a set and at the other nail salon I would go to they would file them down, but here they peeled them off which I hateeee. It is a somewhat painful and uncomfortable feeling and that is not what I pay money for. One last thing is that they did not last as long as the other salon I used to go to. I received a manicure here but never again. The end result was pitted polish. She likely used a cheap brush the hairs of which poked tiny holes into the polish. It looked awful. The worst part, she knew it but acted as though nothing was wrong until I said something. When I pointed out the problem, she began to speak to her coworkers in Vietnamese causing them to look over at me as though I had insulted their friend. After all was said and done, the manicure lasted less than a full week. My girlfriend received a pedicure and said it was nothing to write home about. Neither of us will return. read more

This nail joint is dope! I have had a great experience everytime. They're fast, inexpensive and if you get a gel coat over the design it seriously lasts like 3 weeks, no chipping. The girls are so nice and they are down to try any design. This last time I went I used my argyle sock, Pendleton wallet and a plaid print to concoct my design. I've gotten do many compliments it's awesome. Every girl should treat herself to a fancy set! read more

I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE!!! I have been going here for TEN years now. On the days that they were too booked up to see me (average, once a year), I went to other places and every time I regretted my decision. I ADORE Cindy. She is amazing. GREAT personality and THE BEST manicurist I've ever had. Everyone there is extremely competent and most have been working there for 3+ years. I get crystal with Gellish on my hands (lasts for THREE weeks - FLAWLESS!) The finish always looks as good as the day I got the fill. The only reason I have to go back is because my nails either grew out or one FINALLY broke. I am brutal on my hands too. I get Gellish on my toes too and that lasts a good month. I adore the owner. Everyone there is always very friendly and extremely nice to deal with. I call from my car (10-15 minutes in advance) and they always (once a year exception aside) manage to fit me in. Definitely call at least when you're on the road - especially during peak hours (after work, weekends). I've turned a lot of people on to Neo Nails, and they will never go anywhere else. We like to compare nails when we see each other (all fans of gellish) and see who's nails look the best after being on the longest. This place ALWAYS does awesome work! TRY IT! In response to a bad review: If they have a suggestion (new set because the old one is too brittle/old), ALWAYS take their advice. They have never steered me wrong. They are professionals and do know what they're talking about. Make sure you review them too if you read this. I see way too many negative reviews on here. Again, ten-year customer speaking. I had one girl once accidentally cut my cuticle with a drill, I immediately asked for someone else and they didn't scoff at me at all (She wasn't there long). Don't expect to get pampered here. My sister and I, (19&20 yrs old) came to this place. To start, they book anybody any appointment at any time, in effort to get the most business. They are not concerned of conflicting times. They were sending home people that they couldn't take, and rushing through our sets to move on to the waiting customers. This was neither of our first experiences at a rushed salon, But Neo Nails is by far the worst. We've been to MANY nail salons and have never been so unhappy with the service. They are SO rough with your hands and nails, idk if that's a result of being busy or what. Beyond pushing and pulling arms back and forth, my fingers have never been bent and twisted in such ways.. The lady who did my sisters nails made her cuticles bleed several times. When explaining what design she had no clue how to understand English and did not care So she picked her own and did it anyway. All I wanted was a pink bow across the top of my ring finger diagonally. To finish off, sore nails and all.. They say it would be 50$ for each of our sets, but "they were discounting us and charging us 45$" Their price sheet says 35$ and up for full set, pink and white gel I assume it says and up to leave it open price-wise on their end. It says 5$ for two designs which is what we got, So it doesn't add up. I've experienced it many times at bad nail salons. We look young so they add their tip into our charge... Overall, we are both extremely un-happy with our high end day spa priced nails. I am not one to take the time to write a review even when I'm upset with services, but with this I felt that people should know to really not choose a place like this. I've been going to Neo Nails for about 6 months now. I have actually tried out several Yelp reviewed nail salons and had good and then not so good experiences with all of them. So far, Neo Nails remains consistent. I love seeing Nikki and Jenny. They are nice girls who do good work and actually sit and converse with me! I've had both french manicures with and without designs, and spa pedis done here by both of these girls. I definitely recommend them. Their prices are reasonable, their pedicures last a long time and so do their french manicures. They can be a little pushy sometimes on getting more done than you want (they really do push their artwork, but heck, they're good at nail art!). But, otherwise, as nail salons go, this is certainly one of the better ones to try. They offer many colors of glitter tips and their floral designs are hand painted with acrylic paint and not nail polish. I always get compliments on my nails since I have been coming here. read more

Found this place on Yelp and thanks to the fabulous pictures posted on here, I decided to give Neo Nails a shot. I loved Michelle N's pic of her hot pink/white/pale pink glitter tipped nails, so that's what I was aiming to get. My nail tech did a great job replicating the design, save for one detail. No hot pink. I didn't know the process of things, much less the sequence of color application, so I didn't know whether she was going to skip the hot pink entirely or if it was a later step. Oh well. My nails turned out great. I'd describe the design as a modern twist on the classic French manicure. My nail tech Bebe was good for the most part. She was meticulous and took the time to perform a quality job. She buffed my artificial nails down, so they came out perfectly thin. Also, despite the complaints of being cut, I've managed to come away unscathed. I do have but one complaint, however. Upon closer inspection, as in when I look at my nails with my palms away from my face, some nails are crooked. So yes, more care could've went into filing. You'd have to be me or really be staring at my hands to notice though. Other than that, Bebe was great, pleasant, didn't rush, and seemed to genuinely care if I liked my nails. As for pricing, it is on the expensive side here. I paid fifty bucks (including $5 tip). Good thing this isn't a regular thing for me. read more

I came here for a regular mani and pedi right before they closed. They were super sweet and took me in right away. The mani and pedi were typical, but they did a good job with the polish. I didn't have peels or chips for at least a week on my hands. I also got lip waxing done as well, and it was great. Price is a little more than what I'm used to in San Jose, but this salon is a bit nicer and SEEMS cleaner than the other spots. read more

I desperately needed a fill and didn't feel like driving to the place I had my gels done originally. I'm so glad I decided to come here instead! First off, it's on my way home from work (which I guess is only applicable to me). I was able to walk in, and get started with no wait at all. My nail tech, Niko (I thought she said Nicole at first, but then she wrote her name down on a business card for me) was amazing, super thorough and she made sure that my nails looked perfect. I have never had my nails look this good before, I'm kind of obsessed with looking at them. I will definitely be back. She seriously did a great job! After reading other reviews, I realize I was lucky to be able to walk in today and not have to wait at all. Next time, I'll be sure to make an appointment! My only gripe: the place was a bit dirty and cramped. I probably wouldn't get a pedicure there, but I would definitely recommend it for gels...especially since they do a great job with that. Side story: a girl walked in with a picture of some nail art that she wanted on her phone, and they were totally confident about being able to replicate it, I have never seen that before! Nikki is amazing - you can bring in a picture of whatever type of nails you want, and she will do it. She even hand paints designs and is really great freehand. She is also very nice and friendly. I would highhlyyy recommend Nikki...the prices are decent too. I just got a fill w/ handpainted designs and it was $28. Honestly, the salon atmosphere and the salon itself is just typical blah, but Nikki is outstanding. I would say make an appointment for the weekend though, it tends to get pretty busy. I agree with an above poster about Sally. She rocks. My mom and I have been going to Neo Nails for about 2 years. They are super friendly (always have been to us) and very accommodating. They even let me throw a spa party with my family and bridesmaids before my wedding. The extra touches during the "spa pedicure" are awesome: long leg massage with lotion, hot towel on your legs, followed by peppermint oil - so tingly! They always have new and interesting nail designs (glitter acrylic tips! So cute!) and go out of their way to make sure you are happy with what they do. They will even match your pedicure to your glitter nails! I have seen them be bitchy to customers, but generally, if you're nice to them, they will be nice to you! read more

Not impressed. I got Gel and I have short nails, and usually they shape and file them to still look nice and clean cut, but they did not take that time here. I also usually get the gel smoothed and even, but I have bubbly and glittery stubs. The pedi chairs looked great though... I wanted to get my nails done and the kids were gone for the night. I knew that it was late and was going to be a bit of a long shot to ding a place open to have my nails done. I called to Neo Nails and the man who answered the phone said that he will stay open a little longer if i was able to get there in 10min. I lived right down the street and walked in through the door in less than 5. The man who helped me was very nice, he took his time, was talkative. He didn't rush me and nor was he rude in any way!! I plan to go back to have my nails done for Christmas time!! Note: There were two workers who were waiting with the gentleman who did my nails. I live and work in San Francisco. My sister got me coming to Neo Nails for over a year now. Even though just the traveling from SF to SJ takes 45 min-1 hour one way. It's all worth my time. My nails looked awful when Vivian went on her 3 month maternity leave. I was so glad she came back. I have tiny finger nails and most nail salon makes my nail bulky and unnatural looking. Not at Neo Nails. Vivian makes my nails natural looking and the gel doesn't make it bulky. The gel doesn't chip off or crack like some places. The ladies there are very nice. I had my Pedicure done once after I came back from a week of walking in Las Vegas. Everything is very clean. They sanitized all their equipments. I would recommend making an appointment first. I visited neo nails about a month and a half ago. They charged me 70.00 for gel mani and pedi. By the end of the day i noticed that my nails were starting to change color. They went from a pale pink to a mucus green. I was really upset specially since I felt completely over charged. My experience was very negative. I wouldn't recommend them to a friend. read more

I will NEVER go here again and I had such high hopes for this salon but feel they don't value there customers.I have been to this nail salon 2 times the first time I came in was based on the yelp reviews I had read and my first visit was amazing. The lady who did my nails did an amazing job she was very nice and my nails lasted longer than any place else. But on my second visit to get a fill my experience was not so great. I get pink and white done every time and have never had a problem with being able to see lines under my nails. There is bubbles and they look jagged I don't know if it was the girls first time or what but it was horrible and to top it of it was the most painful fill I have ever had. She also cut me pretty bad with the drill. At the end of my service I was not happy with them and when asked how much she told me 25.00 I said your not going to give me a discount for cutting me then she says ok 20.00. at that point I was just going to deal with it. but after looking at them for a few minutes I decided I really didn't like them so they offered to redo them but I had already been there over an hour and needed to get to a prior engagement. Over the moon with the result of my nails! I havent gotten fake nails in over 9 months because Ive never had a good experience with them. Usually the shape is off, or its uneven and bumpy - but getting me nails done for the first time here by Mindy completely changed my mind! The shape is perfect - not too pointy and skinny at the top when i asked for a coffin shape. My wife and I have been going to NEO nails every 2 weeks for more than 2 years and have never had a bad experience. The staff is really friendly for the most part and even when you do run into the talking shit in foreign languages thing the work is still great. If you can find a nail salon w/ decent prices where they do good work and don't talk shit I'd love to know where it is. It does seem like a shitty hole in the wall but I know for a fact that they follow strict sanitation procedures, I'm in the beauty business so I always check sanitation. I've been looking for a nail salon that does japanese style nails forEVER and finally found this place through yelp. They still don't do quite what I wanted but it's the best i've been able to find. The people are pretty friendly and nice and would comply with what you tell them you want. I've been here twice and brought my own nail magazine here for them to follow. They don't have all the equipments, but they can draw 3D style flowers and have the glitter stuff. Downside is that they don't have too many designs of their own, so u'd have to tell them what u want. It's also on the pricier end...but if u can buy ur own stuff and give it to them to use, it's fine. Overall, I'd say it's a decent place to get what u need to get done, done. read more

I've been going to Neo for about 2 years now with my brother and sister in-law and for the most part I've had great service. When you call be specific who you want to do your nails, I highly recommend Jackie or Vivian for nails and Lin for toes for works it out! The owner is great for a laugh, she gets a bit shitty on the phone but once you get there she great and very friendly. I work with my hands so I am very particular with my nails while working with customers. Majority of the time I found myself complimenting their nail jobs. "OHHH, I LIKE YOUR NAILS! Where did you get them done at?" Majority of them said they got them done at Neo Nails. Because I had a horrible experience at Angel Hair and Nail Salon in Mountain View (please read my review), I was kind of hesitant to go to a new place and decided to go back to the only place that has ever made me happy: Perfect 1 Nails in Campbell. I finally decided to go to Neo Nails when my co-worker, who is also a MAC artist, told me she went to NEO NAILS. She told me, not suggested to me, that I see Sally!! GO SEE SALLY! I went and saw Sally and fell in love with her excellent nail skills and artistry. Sally has a tendancy to be firm on the "roller" which can make it burn, but it's alright. However, she was pleasant, knowledgable, and open to conversation. I recently was hired to do a wedding so I had to get them done and she even advised Jean, who did my pedicure, that she copy the same flower on my hands to be done my me toes. OHHH WHOA OH SALLY, PHEW THAT NAIL LADY~! I know corney, but I am finally happy and have a new place that I will get my nails done at. Maybe FYI: They take credit cards, but they want cash. On my first trip there, they preferred cash and sent me to Bonfair next door to pull money of am ATM. They sterilize everything, don't try & upsell you & the most important part...They never do a rush job, unless you ask....When you get the pedi, make sure you get the leg scrub!!! This was my first time getting my nails done here and they charged me $50 for a new set acrylic and hello kitty design on my thumb and ring fingers. I never in my life had to pay thatmuch to get my nails done! My sister got the same set as me but her hello kitty design came out horrible... the lady who was designing her nails had no clue how to draw hello kitty... im definitely not getting my nails done here again... it was not worth $50! I've been getting my nails done here since 2010 and there's a recent conversation I had with one of the ladies that did my nails ... she didn't want to accept my Visa. I told her I've paid with it before and she told me it costs the company money to run my card.... What da ... ITS AN ESTABLISHMENT THAT SAYS CARDS ARE ACCEPTED?
