Environment: Super cute. It has a bright indoor space. There's just enough parking at the lot, and street parking if needed. Service: Just what you would expect. They were nice and also attentive to our table even though we were in a corner of the restaurant. Food: Must get: Chowder. I got the Rubenesque Panini and it was delicious! I don't really like sandwiches but this was pretty good. The best part of my meal was the chowder. Same goes for my friends. I also liked the iced coffee. Service was great, atmosphere is simple inside and a little more exciting outside with the view, but it's a bit chilly to sit outside. (They do have fires tableside if you want to check it out.) A lot of non-traditional breakfast options that are full of flavor. So many options we couldn't choose, so we went with the waitresses suggestions and weren't disappointed at all. I don't understand all the hype for this place. Sure, it's located in a beautiful area and their menu descriptions make your mouth water. However, finding parking is a chore at best and the food is far from impressive. We came at noon and order the RICOTTA & SOURDOUGH PANCAKE and the THE PASSION OF THE HASH. Honestly, we could have gotten the same thing at any chain diner. The pancake was boring- you couldn't taste any of the speciality ingredients (sourdough, ricotta, cornmeal). It was just a plan ole pancake and the bacon appeared to come from a precooked package. My hash was boring. "Smoked pork, oven dried tomatoes, cheese curds, crispy potatoes, peppers and jalapenos. And of course, put an egg on it (2 sunny side). Drizzle the whole thing with a creamy lemon béchamel". Makes your mouth water to read it, right? It. Was. Boring. I don't know if the people writing the menu have ever tasted the food because there was no flavor, no seasoning and nothing that sets it apart. I expected smoky heat and a huge variation of textured. My hash was golden but not crispy. The pork tasted like overcooked pork loin versus a shredded pork shoulder, there were 2 slivers of grilled peppers and the béchamel tasted nothing like lemon. Although they claim to make English muffins in house, they served it with a dryer up piece of bread from the heel of an old loaf. No butter, Jam or anything to go on it. All this to say- come here for the views but do not expect to be impressed by the food. read more

They don't have a large menu, but EVERYTHING is amazing. You'll need to try everything. I've tried almost everything, a combo of me and my family and we have tried everything (more than once). Best part of that? Food is always consistent and tasty. It's even hard in this post to feature just one or two items! The best advice: read the menu and try to decide what to get before going then ask for a recommendation. I recommend making reservations as they get very busy - for good reason! They have indoor and outdoor seating, but it's on the smaller, more intimate side. If you do have to wait, go walk along the docs or smells the roses. It's well worth the wait! Made our way to Gig Harbor on a recent trip to Seattle and decided on Netshed when looking over the local restaurants. Waited around 1hr to be sat - this gave us a good amount of time to roam the area and see all the boats that were docked. There is more outdoor than indoor for their dining area - perfect for the weather this time of year. I ordered the Stuffed Biscuit - whole portuguese sausage and chunks of beecher's cheese wrapped and baked into a buttermilk biscuit. It is topped with a red gravy that happens to be made with beer! My friends ordered their Rio Grand Scramble and Smothered Mission Burrito - all three of our dishes were well portioned, delicious, and not very heavy on the wallet. This place is definitely worth the visit if you are staying in or near the area - I just wish we had tried their cinnamon rolls, but there's always next time! read more

I've previously had the mushroom frittata and that is also amazing. Everything that I've had here is really fantastic. It's a cute little spot. The seating inside is very limited, so I would make sure to arrive early or expect a wait, but it's worth waiting for. It's always mildly frustrating when you find a popular restaurant in a small town, and it turns out to be mediocre. I had seen this place forever and wanted to try it, but I just don't find myself in Gig Harbor during their wild hours. We made the effort today and finally got to sample their stuff. Right off the bat, you can tell that that they try to be a catch-all location to suit everyone that comes in as opposed to a proud breakfast joint. We got the Bahn-Mi, the French Toast, and the Hot Chicken. The Bahn-Mi had the driest meat inside that I had ever eaten. It reminded me of a cadaver with the way it was just flakey strings of meat. Even the accouterments were a miss with the overdone bread and veggies. Fun fact about Gig Harbor, but you can't deep fry over water, so the Hot Chicken must be baked. That's not an issue, but it changes how chicken presents on the plate, so it's not what you expect. The French Toast was yummy. I appreciated the baguette bread and the creaminess. The menu and restaurant read like a wishlist. Someone picked bits of their favorites out of the air and threw together a bunch of stuff in the hopes of perfection, but it wasn't. With forgettable service and outdoor seating on a 32 degree afternoon, it wasn't too great. Santa Claus came by on a paddleboard, which was a neat experience. read more

Every visit to GH, a stop at Netshed is required! Even though it was a dreary day, I had an enjoyable meal. On this particular stop I ordered a cup a clam chowder and a 'reuben-esque' panini with a side of potatoes. The sandwich had a hearty portion of corned beef, cheese, and cabbage. Because of the cold and rainy days the patio is closed off, which makes the wait even longer during a rush. Luckily, I didn't have to wait long for a small table near the kitchen. If moldy food and horrible service is your thing then look no further! There is a reason you generally have no wait to get in this place but devoted kiss has a 30-40 minute wait almost every time. Sad thing is this used to be my favorite place for breakfast in the Harbor. I had the pb&j waffle this morning and every raspberry I could see had mold on it. I waited 10 minutes for the server to come to ask how my breakfast was but she never showed up. I had to go find her myself. She did not make me pay for my moldy breakfast but she did charge me for my coffee even though she never came back to fill it up. I will not be back. The food, in particular, the beanless chili and the chicken carnitas, was scrumptious. Certainly the best chili I've had in recent memory. For desert, the ewie gooey cookies with vanilla ice cream made for an excellent ending to a great meal. The servers were right at the top of their game. Great, thoughtful, service. Pros: Lovely deck with mini fireplaces. We were offered a LOT of coffee Cons: *On arrival we were jokingly reprimanded for not checking in with the hostess. No hostess to be found. *We waited over 45 minutes for our meal while others around us were served. No explanation was offered. When we asked, we were told "the dish came out bad from the kitchen". *items we ordered a la cate were never brought. * Condiments we requested were never brought. * The only time the waitress was friendly is when she delivered the check. I hope we just caught them on a bad day but we will most likely not return. read more

It sits overlooking a harbor in Gig Harbor and it is absolutely worthwhile to wait extra to sit on the patio (although they do not take reservations and the wait is long). We started with some mimosas that were wonderful. I ordered something called "passion of the hash." The main portion of this was some delicious pork and potatoes that were out of this world. It also came with some peppers and a great sauce. It was an original and spectacular dish. We also had the cinnamon buns after seeing them on someone else's table. What a fun place to stop off for lunch upon arrival in Washington. The balcony at the back has a beautiful view of the harbor. Everything is so green and lush is here. The planters along the outskirts of the balcony are beautiful colored flowers pots. And because of social distancing seating you don't feel crowded at all and there's plenty of room. It was just my friend and I and we were able to sit at a larger table which wasAwesome. Usually when you go in as a party of two they will only let you sit at a party of two table. So it was nice to sit at a larger table facing the ocean and have an umbrella for shade. You are required to wear a mask if you get up and down but not while seated. Now to the food and service. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly waitress. The menu has breakfast items and lunch items. She recommended the Bon Mi sandwich she said it was the stuff dreams are made of. How could you argue with that.? I had the clam chowder as a side, told her I was From Monterey and asked how the chowder was, but then realized I was in another seafood Mecca. BTW, it was amazing! Crunchy croutons and bacon and excellent clams. The sandwich was to die for. BBQ pork ribs, smashed on the grill, on top of a coleslaw on top of a bun soaked in Siracusa butter! I took a close up of the menu description and added it to my pictures. Excellent descriptions of their food items. I am only here a few days, maybe I'll be back. Not your New England/Maine chowder but a good side for a "harbor" brunch experience. Service: this is where it hit a little bit. A little slow for my taste. It seemed like we were waiting for our drink and food orders. That wait time is compounded by the elements of the weather outside (which lucky for us the sun was out).
