Quite enjoyed the Summer high teas. We had a reservation, great service, super cute decor. However, you do sit pretty close to the other tables and can hear whatever they're talking about so keep that in mind. I was impressed by all the choices and unique tea flavors - all of which we tried were pretty good! Once you finish your pot of tea, you can try another batch of different flavors. The scones were the perfect softness, sandwiches were all amazing honestly. You can tell they were freshly made and delicious. What a great experience for our last day in Vancouver. My friend and I have a tradition to try every afternoon tea whenever we travel. This was such a great find. The decor was very cute. We came here on a Monday afternoon and had about five tables. The service was attentive. I liked the all you can drink part of the menu. They have a long menu of tea choices and I couldn't decide on which one to try. That was a nice touch to our experience. I tried three different ones and it was very nice. Neverland never disappoints! I've been here several times now and still has the best high tea service in the lower mainland! They also have my favourite tea of all time, which is Heavenly Cream. It's a black tea VERY similar to cream of earl grey but BETTER. All of the food included in the high tea service was delicious and it changes based on the season. They're always booked on the weekends for high tea service so make sure to book ahead of time. Super cute ambiance too! They even do takeout so if you can't get a table, simply order your high tea to go and you can still enjoy their goodies! Also, they have other options for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan -- for no additional cost! And the food selection is almost identical for each option so you don't feel like you're missing out on certain items cuz they will have the same thing. Can't recommend this place enough! read more

Booked a weekday morning high tea to catch up with a friend. Their booking system was very easy to use but does have a $20 fee for cancelling within 2 days. We arrived just before opening and watched them set up for the day. They check vaccine passports at the door for each group before bringing us inside. The space is quite small so there are only a few groups in each session, which is limited to 1.5hours. The time limit feels a little bit short given the delays to get to the table and then order (since every group is ordering at the same time, it takes quite a bit longer) and then for the tea and snacks to arrive. Then, at the end, the time is cut short by the bill and paying (and again, every group is doing this at the same time so it's very slow). This was a bit frustrating especially because high tea isn't an activity that should be rushed. Other than that, our experience was quite pleasant. We asked to change our tea set to one that we liked better and there were a ton of tea options to choose from. The staff was very nice and accommodating and helped take a photo for us as well. I went to Neverland the first time last year because it was part of my friend's Bachelorette festivities. Right when I walked in, I noticed how cute the restaurant was! The interior was lovely and a great atmosphere for tea and treats (feels a bit European). We got to try a number of treats and I was happy that there was a variety on the trays - and that the trays were large and filling. My favourite part of the trays were the top and mid-section sweets, featured in my attached pictures. I loved how they were shaped to look like items from a fairytale/wonderland. I also enjoyed the tea that I got. It's at a good location in Vancouver and has an atmosphere that can host special occasions. The tea service very nice. The decorations inside reminded me of a place called Satori that used to be located in Saratoga, CA. The food was all good and I would go back to eat it all again. With the tea service, you can order unlimited pots and choose multiple if you wish. You can also request regular, soy, or oat milk with your teas. Our favorite tea we tried was the strawberry mojito which is an herbal tea. Maybe we didn't have the best choices when selecting teas because we didn't think any of the other teas we got really stood out. We tried the hazelnut, Mumbai chai, Tiger lily but non were as good as the herbal. The food was really good. They have four high tea options: regular, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten/dairy . Loved my experience here. My server Natalie was kind and let me switch my cup to another that I thought was prettier. She had excellent tea recommendations. I love that the teapots are smaller so that you can try a few types of tea! At other tea places I've been to they only offer one giant pot. I dined alone as I was on a layover and still had a great time. I found myself quite full with their spring time high tea- the food is small but I couldn't finish all of it. If you're coming on your own I would recommending bringing a book with you, there is a shop just down the road to do so. OMG save yourself the trouble and do not waste your time! We made a reservation for 11, we were running late because we couldn't find parking (there's not a lot of parking near here) so we were like 10 mins late. I called and they're like "it's fine if you're late but you still have to leave at 1230" and that attitude set the precedent of the whole experience. Along with other reviews, the service is terrible. We wanted to share the food tower and our waitress argued with us for like 5 mins about how we're not allowed to and then Finally she's "ok fine whatever I can't force you to get your own, so you can share if you have to". It's not about what she said, but how she said jt. And everyone around is sharing??? We get our food and order our tea and 20 mins goes by. No one brings us more water, no one checks on how the food is (which is the best part) and no one asks if we want more tea. They say it's unlimited tea but it's funny because they never check on you so it's impossible to order more than 2 in the 90 min time slot they put you in. Then, 40 minutes before our reservation is over (11:50) they're like "last call." Even though our reservation was good until 1230. We didn't even last an hour. The energy is awful the service is terrible we just wanted to get out as fast as possible. Our waitress stopped talking to us and someone else took over even though she was still working. I would not come back. It was impossible to get the waitress attention (I posted pics of their backs turned to us but owner asked me to remove so I did) Their backs were turned to the customers the entire time. *Per your review response I deleted the images* I understand your response, we were upset about the quality of service. It's not what she said, it's how she said it. She was rude from the very beginning and so was the lady on the phone. Check your other reviews too, I'm not the only one complaining about the service. Because of the poor service I wouldn't return nor would I recommend anyone else to. It's unfortunate because your food is absolutely delicious. Came here with my Yelper and good friend C. The manager here was super nice to honor a coupon that is no longer offered in the Entertainment coupon book. What happened was that the online version of the coupon book had a discount for tea time here. However, the manager mentioned that the contract with Entertainment book has already ended and was not sure why the coupon is still out there. At the end of the day, the manager honored the coupon. On top, we were allowed to use it on Jan 2. This is definitely a plus. Friendly service is definitely a good start here. So C. and I got the Grande Adventure High Tea (Traditional). It was quite awesome. We got the option to drink unlimited tea within 1.5 hours. Yes unlimited tea. I got the Almond Joy, Lady Guava, Hazelnut black tea. The pots and chinaware here are beautiful. The decor is definitely interesting. The food here was not bad. But yes I have had better high tea elsewhere. The tea was great. Overall, I liked the place and would come back if I am able to find deals to this place. $38 for high tea is somewhat steep but again it is the experience. I absolutely Love this tea Shoppe! I've been here two or three times before and have been really happy about my experience. However, I brought my girlfriend here who had never been here, and the first question was ' the place setting is $20 a person, is that ok with you?' Asked with a look of ' are you sure you can afford it?' ! We both were set back a bit, but wanted to have a nice visit and experience. Through the whole time the servers were pleasant enough, but we got this feeling of nonchalant or indifference and being judged. It's like it was putting on a face or an act, and then they walked away like , whatever. I'm sad to say it. Overall the experience was really nice in terms of the aesthetic and the food, and of course the tea! Came here with my daughter and the food and drink was delicious! Really nice server, food presentation, ambience. Savouries were fresh, pastries flakey, sweets were decadent and pretty. For a child's and adult high tea plus tax and tip it runs about $100. Mine included a glass of wine too! We were both so full and had a few bites we couldn't finish. Here is what I initially wrote: I was hesitant based on some of the reviews, but I went with my friend and our mothers and we had a wonderful time! Tatianna was an amazing server, attentive, friendly, and helpful. We came for a Monday 11am reservation and were seated immediately and served our food in less than 15 minutes. My mom enjoyed the traditional high tea, while the other three of us enjoyed the vegetarian option (there are also dairy and gluten-free as well as vegan options). We enjoyed Holiday High Tea for three midday on a Tuesday. The shop was about half full so conversation was easy, but the spacing between tables is good so I think the ambience would be equally nice when it's fuller. The savoury and sweet items were very good, and filling. It definitely qualified as a meal for all of us. The tea menu is extensive and we were able to try at least two types each, in the 90min we were there. The pace was relaxing. The staff were friendly, keen and accommodating to special dietary needs, with Vegan, Gluten free, Dairy free and Vegetarian options. I have to be honest, I was terribly disappointed with my experience here. 1) bad service My friend made a booking for my birthday and although our main server was kind and pleasant, there was another one who was rude, impatient and clearly didn't want to be there. The brunette with the long dark hair was beyond grumpy and begrudgingly dumped our tray off without a smile and with a lot of attitude. She was impatient with basic questions , and when we asked if they had a small spoon so we could more easily add it to our tea she came back and literally tossed a regular spoon on our table in front of us. Both of us were polite so there was no reason to have such a strange attitude towards us. It was my birthday, we just wanted to have a pleasant day. She didn't even walk us through the tea tray. I'm not used to this kind of service at an afternoon tea seating. 2) The food wasn't good either, it's cute looking (likely for Instagram) but the flavours and ingredients were boring/too sweet and offered nothing that I'd bother having again --very overpriced for what felt like small portions of mediocre grocery store deli food. I couldn't eat half the sweets, the scone and devon cream was also disappointingly weird. Overall the afternoon tea was incredibly imbalanced, there was way too many high-sugar bland sweets (as mentioned, most of which were kind of inedible) and not enough savory offerings. 3) Further disappointing was that the tea itself was not good quality and most weren't brewed correctly. (I used to work in the tea industry). We tried 6 flavours and sadly all if them were either weak, cold or entirely unpalatable. On what world does the 'single estate Darjeeling' taste like seaweed ? Overall, both the flavours ,and the tea selection were unremarkable. 4) I also didn't enjoy the scheduled seating approach. They say you have 90 minutes but rush you out much earlier than that to set up for the next seating. (Easily corrected for with some staggered seating times). You get reminded that you're going to leave repeatedly starting 30 minutes in advance, and 10 minutes later they try to take everything off your table and hustle you to pay at least 15 minutes before the 90 minutes are up. 5) The music was also disruptive to the ambience (strange kind of John Mayer-esque pop music). All in all, with the grumpy and blatantly rude attitude from the one server and the mad rush to get everyone out before the seating is done made both of us feel like our presence was a horrible inconvenience at this salon. There are much better options in the city. I'm definitely going to return to have high tea elsewhere in the future. We have absolutely no desire to come back here and I'll be warning all my friends and family to avoid it. It was an incredibly disappointing birthday experience for me. read more

Scones are the best in town. Moist and warm; however, no lemon curd. Sandwiches were not your usual. Egg, and chicken salad were great flavor, A change from the usual. Deserts were fantastic. First time trying Neverland high tea after hearing a lot of good things about them. We had the Grande Adventure Set - traditional set at $38/pp. The food was mostly above average with some memorable items. The scones were non-traditional with sugar on top and denser biscuit texture but I still enjoyed it. Of the 5 savories, the best were the proscuitto/pear/brie croissant and the thai curry/egg sandwich, and the goat cheese/asparagus/alfalfa on burger buns. Of the 4 sweets, the best was the chocolate caramel dome and passion fruit tart. Our set came with unlimited tea to try which was the first time I've had this experience. I tried the Honeysuckle (pretty sweet and smooth), Madame Grey (more caffeinated as its a black tea and its supposed to have hints of lavendar but was a bit too subtle for me to notice), and the Terri's Chocolate Orange for dessert tea which was just OK (a more bitter black tea than my previous selections). All the teas I tried turned out to taste better with a bit of milk and sugar. One thing to note here is the teacups were never changed as our tea changed so you end up with some hybrid tea tasting with the new tea mixed with remnant tea bits from the previous tea. Not exactly preferred so maybe note to management to change the cups if different teas are being offered. The service was also slow to get water refills, pick new teas, and to pay the bill. Mr. and I were the very first customers to try this high tea set, and I am in love with the theme because Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite cartoons since I was little. Neverland Tea Room has a spacious and elegant interior. The owners put care and love on every detail in the tea room. From the quotes on the wall to the honey jar on the table, the decorations create a comfortable and peaceful ambiance. You can also purchase your own small treats, teacups, and other tea-related accessories at the front of the tea house. Specially prepared for the Mad Hatter theme, the tea room is filled with hats, cards, and everything you can find in Alice in Wonderland! It gives a vibe as if I was in Wonderland. A perfectly brewed cup of tea plays an important role in a high tea experience. Therefore, Neverland Tea Salon offers never-ending pots of tea with its high tea sets. Guests can try as many teas as they like from Neverland's extensive tea menu. I first tried the February feature tea, Very Berry. The aromatic black tea has a subtle strawberry flavor, and I was surprised that it doesn't have the usual medicine-y flavor. I also tried Peter's Promise. It has sencha, bancha, kukicha, and genmaicha, with a scent of redcurrants and strawberries. I enjoyed this tea more, as it is floral and lighter. It helps to clean the palette from the high tea set. Let's talk about the Mad Hatter High Tea. All high tea sets are offered in traditional, vegan, gluten and dairy omitted, or vegetarian. They even served a Tinkerbell's High Tea, which is a kid-friendly high tea set. The set includes never-ending pots of tea, amuse-bouche, and various savory finger sandwiches and sweet pastries. There are five finger sandwiches in the Mad Hatter High Tea set, and each features different protein and/or vegetables. My favourite is the Smoked Paprika Crab Salad Roll, with red peppers, onions, chives, and green goddess aioli. I can probably eat a handful of them. The Coronation Chicken Salad on Focaccia is also unique, as it has mango chutney in the sandwich. On the contrary, I wasn't attracted by the plant-based burger slider, as it has a unique taste - maybe it came from the squid ink, but I was not sure. Once we finished the scones, we were starting to get full, but we still have a few desserts to try. We shared some of the pastries, and I liked the Chocolate Ganache Tart, which is the not-as-sweet option in the set. Other desserts were not bad, and I love the design and extra touches for the theme. *** Overall Impression *** It was my second time visiting Neverland Tea Salon, and I am in love with it. My best friend and I came for the holiday afternoon tea. We both got the regular holiday tea, but really inclusive that they have a vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and "tinkerbell" kids version. Great for groups that have different diets. Their savoury items reminded me of a traditional turkey dinner with stuffing and roasted mushrooms. Tasty and different from traditional finger sandwiches. My favourite were the truffle mushroom mini tarts -- sooooo earthy and rich. The sweet desserts were VERY sweet. I was glad I chose a minty tea to complement the desserts. The scones were a little more dry cakey biscuit than more buttery moist scones that I've had elsewhere. The cream was a little liquidy and the jam was more syrupy but both were still good. I appreciated that they gave us a heads up when there was 30 mins left in our 1.5 hour reso (2 hours reso if you're more than 6 people). First time in this delightful little place. It is super busy so be sure to book. I had hoped to have brunch but because it is December and it is way too busy, could only have the high tea. Nonetheless super tasty. They cater for vegeterian, gluten free and vegan high teas so anyone can attend. Definately coming back for brunch once he qyieter season arrives. I had a great time here back then for the Mad Hatter High Tea set so I decided to go again but for the autumn edition high tea which is their 'A Grande Adventure High Tea' set! ⁠ If you haven't found your favourite tea or love tasting a variety of great teas, Neverland is definitely the best place for Tea Lovers as they offer UNLIMITED new pots of tea. This means you can change your tea to match your course as you go up the tower! ⁠My favourites this time were the Peachy Pangopup (the whole table agrees!) and Berry Me in Champagne (very nice fragrance). The A Grande Adventure High Tea was $42 and actually... it wasn't that memorable in terms of food assortment nor taste especially for its price. The food was really good for the Mad Hatter but this time it was very much just okay for some reason. There were the normal things like scones and savouries but their dessert section just wasn't that appealing or memorable. For the price and compare to other high tea places in the lower mainland, it's a bit lacking. Though considering their tea selection is pretty large and it unlimited, I feel like the price is still worth it especially if you love tea (which I do!). If you're here for the tea, it's still worth it! It is a lot more spaced out but some of the really nicer sofas or chairs have been moved I believe. First high tea experience was a success! As recommended by fellow yelpers, we made a reservation and I'm so glad we did because the place is small but very cute! Service was great, tea was amazing (I've tried Peters Promise and Tinkerbells Kiss). I loved almost everything except the stuffing herbed scones with sage, I couldn't continue after one bite but it's not uncommon to not like all the selections since there's a variety. I had been wanting to go this place but my lil one was not letting me :). Finally, I gathered courage to visit this place with my 6 months old. We booked the reservation beforehand. I highly recommend reserving your seats in advance as this place is always packed. My husband and I ordered traditional grande adventure high tea for each. I loved that you can try as many teas as you want. So, once you finish your first tea pot, you can try another tea from the menu and so on. We could only try 2 as our tummy was full :) All the sandwiches and pastries tasted really good. My favourite was roast beef sandwich. The quantity of food was so much that we had to pack some of them for our home and which we really enjoyed in our next day's breakfast. Service is really good here. Unlimited selection of teas and you get as many types and you want. Service: 0/10 We were served by two different servers - one was fantastic and the other one legitimately made me want to leave the restaurant. I watched the latter server throw down the menu at another table. She also basically slammed down the high tea tower at the table and it nearly toppled (it was both startling and confusing). She tried to take my friend's plate away (with food on it) even though we had about 15-20 mins left. Just love coming to this place. Not only does it have an inviting atmosphere but the high tea is delicious too. I've been to a few that didn't measure up but this definitely isn't one of them. Lovely bright salon with chandeliers and whimsical decor. Patrons are often dressed up. You will also see lots of kids parties having a "Tinkerbell High Tea" Another great thing about this place is they have 4 different menus to choose from. Traditional, gluten & dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan. So no one feels left out! I always get the traditional grande adventure high tea. I like to get a few different pots of tea throughout my service. You can also choose high teas that include sparkling wine or a Demi tea if you only want half portions. Demi tea is $30 and the full high tea is $38, so I feel it's worth it to get the full for $8 more. read more

*I nominate Neverland Tea Salon for top 5 best Vegan restaurants to take someone for a romantic date* After a satisfactory (but inexpensive) raw vegan afternoon tea set at another establishment, I was eager to try the other vegan afternoon tea place that has been the talk of town- Neverland Tea Salon! I had the opportunity to try this place with a girlfriend but didn't do any research on it prior just to keep an open mind and surprise myself. When I entered I felt as if I was in an episode of Real Housewives of Vancouver. This place excudes elegance and cuteness! The restaurant is decorated with fancy teacups everywhere and decorated in such a way that makes you feel as if you've transported to a fairy tale setting. We tried the afternoon set tea for two people. My friend is gluten intolerant, but to our delight the scrumptious vegan afternoon tea set happened to be gluten free as well. There is a really good mixture of sweet and savory items. The cherry on the top was trying 3 pots of different teas per person!! Be sure to take advantage of that because there is a really long list so you'd want to try more than one. The visit was so worthwhile that we stayed for 3 hours just chatting away and sipping on the 3 potfuls of tea. Keep in mind that generally, each reservation grants you 1.5 hours of stay. We had the holiday high tea, and it was really a lovely experience. The finger food looks small, but the two of us struggled to finish all of it, it was more filling than it looks, so go in hungry! We tried 5 different types of tea, I've never seen so much selection! The almond joy and lavender earl grey are the two that stood out the most as must-haves. The decor is beautiful and the pastries were all so uniquely delicious. The savoury dishes were amazing as well. Service was attentive and I'd say it's a great experience for anyone looking for a high end high tea. read more

We got the traditional and vegetarian selections. Savoury food was not good. The turkey sandwich was only good thing that was delicious. Sweets were slightly better but did not taste fresh. Tea selection was very good and yummy. Waitress gave one of my friends a turkey sandwich and she is vegetarian. She had taken a few bites unknowingly. Not really worth it for the food. 2 stars for the tea. Customer service was mediocre. read more
