Ok, this place is good! I don't leave many reviews but I wanted to give this little place some props. This is my second time here and the food is legit delicious. Hard to know there is a restaurant here from the outside and the interior looks very ... mush-mashed?... but the service is friendly and the food is awesome. I'm a big fan of a wide variety of Asian foods but I often find many places tend to run the standards and they taste that way too. You already know, 12:00 pm, it's pho time. I've been really looking forward to trying out this spot for a while and I was surprised when I walked inside. I noticed the place actually looked better than expected furthermore I thought the whole layout of the place was aesthetic and everything seem to be very well sanitized. Most importantly the lady who served my food was very nice. (5-star services) I ordered the steak and brisket pho - #5. Overall the meat and the broth was decent and flavorful. My friend and I popped in for a quick lunch and ordered beef ball soup, a vermicelli bowl with spicy beef, along with some fresh rolls. The fresh rolls were good but my friend hardly finished her soup because it tasted "old" and my vermicelli bowl was GREASY with huge chunks of onion and lettuce. My bowl had a decent amount of sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, meat and noodles - however something about the noodles tasted off - sour almost. UPDATE: I tried this place 2 more times and realize now that it is inconsistent. Not every bowl of pho is the same, so it can be hit or miss. Today my noodles were over cooked. The amount of meat is different each time as well. One large factor that separates a good restaurant from a great restaurant is consistency. I'll have to take a star back. First review: I never thought I'd find myself reviewing a Pho restaurant. There's so many and they all taste about the same. I'm Vietnamese and I have been to a pretty significant amount of pho restaurants in my lifetime. This one is probably one the best I've had. Definitely the best in the bay, in my opinion. I ordered the #1 Xe Lua (I get this at every pho restaurant). This is the most meat I've ever got in a pho bowl ever. Like it's actually twice as much as others. I wanted to eat "Banh canh cua" and decided to try this restaurant. Totally disappointed! The soup is not condensed. It's actually like chicken noodle soup. Fake crab. Very thin slices of pork. That's it. I'm willing to pay more to enjoy a true "banh canh cua". Will not come back. read more

Ordered another rice dish also gave a lot more meat less rice. But another branch gave way too much rice just a few piece of meat. So come to this store for rice another one for pho. read more

I have been dining here for a few months now .. just around the corner from my office, thus it is very convenient for me. I get the #6 with no noodles, and instead lots of vegetables. I'm a Pho fan and this place is a below par on food and service, here is why. Food: we ordered summer rolls that come with shrimp and pork wrap with rice paper with peanut sauce. It came out pork is so dry rice paper is so hard and vegetables are too cold looks like they just pulled those out from freezer I will rate 3 out of 10. I also ordered #68 house special big rice noodle soup with shrimp, crab, pork, squid and fried shrimp cake came out no pork and no fried shrimp cake in the soup so I called the server I think he is the owner when I ask why no meat in my soup. At first, he has the look of doesn't believe what I was asking he then went to the kitchen and ask the cooks and came back and said I will give you some with no apology no customer service at all he sent another server with very tiny bowl of soup with very thin 3 slice of pork I will rate 2 out of 10. It was very disappointing meal because we are the regular customer who eats the same food all the time. Service: if you have white friend you need to bring there because you will get better service. When we get there today we are the only table no other customers but he just drop off the menu and left. We picked what we want and gave the order to him. Moment later a white guy and asian lady walked in and sit next to our table and now his character completely changed as he is the best server in the world. He explained every thing in the menu with polite and kindness manner he constantly visit that table how the food doing how he make sure food to be not over cooked how much meat that he gave it to him so sweet of him. He never visited to our table nor ask any issues with the food. When I ask for some basil leaves he said "your soup is not Pho no basil leaves but I will give some." Every Pho shop we visited they provide bean sprouts, basil leaves, green chili and lime or lemon but this place you need to ask. Lobster noodles! So good! The lobster was cooked perfectly - great, subtle flavor and it was soft yet still slightly firm. The garlic noodles were a great complement and the veggies added a fresh touch to the dish! We also got the Grilled Beef Rolls with garlic noodles. Despite being to-go due to social distancing, the meat retained its flavors and juices. Kinda reminds me of the beef noodles my mom used to make when I was younger :) Stephanie is very lovely! She's very professional, efficient and has a great sense of humor. Love her energy! The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is pretty nice. Shame it's going to waste due to the pandemic. The food here is delicious! My partner got the garlic noodles with grilled chicken and I got the spicy lemongrass chicken with rice. Both were equally yummy with lots of flavor. I went to this restaurant late because I was working late. I ordered the pot stickers, which were terrible-they were rubbery and not tasty. However, I ordered the seafood special soup with the wide rice noodles. The soup was exceptionally tasty, and it had shrimp, fish balls, squid and I added the normal vegetables like bean sprouts and jalapeno slices. 2 stars for the broth of the soups: pho ga and hu tieu dac biet. Ordered 2 bowls, one bowl came out wrong. What was wrong was that the whole bowl was something different from my order. They didnt bring out the veggies that go with the pho. They did not bring out the ginger sauce to dip the chicken. Nor did they bring any drink for to our table when We had ordered hot tea. Last night, Jan. 22, I went into this place to try it out since I saw that they have good rating on Yelp. It was a mistake. I was disappointed in their food. I ordered their #86, which their rice vermicelli noodles with pork meat and shrimp for my son. It came with veggies that was put in a plastic bag. I ordered their rice vermicelli with shrimp for myself. My son's ordered included only 2 shrimp, basically 1 shrimp cut in half. The shrimp in my and my son's order were way over cooked. It's takes like plastic. I asked my son how is meat tastes, and he said that it was, "ok." The cost of his meal...$10.50. My plate costed $9.50. For these prices, I've had a lot better food. Would I recommend this place? No, not unless they change or train the cook better. read more

Customer service is awesome. They are friendly and present with their customers. It's pretty clean as well. They accept credit card and have a debit machine as well. Unfortunately, their chicken pho lacks flavor for my taste buds. The chicken was to chewy where it got stuck between my teeth. Sadly I didnt have any floss. The thai tea that I got was bad as well. There are other locations to get that flavor that isn't watered down. To be blunt the taste felt like it was made for older customers. I would recommend other locations. And after we were done I told him go up and pay and I gave him a $20 and the lady told him that it was $38 he questioned her $38 for one bowl and she was like oh sorry it's $28 then he was called me up bc I think he thought it was sus too and was like oh I need to put more bc it's $28 and I was like no it's not it was one bowl if anything it's $14 dollars and she was oh oh oh sorry. Friday lunch w my honey. Ordered pho special and the pork, shrimp, egg roll rice plate. We requested fresh noodle for the pho. We were not too crazy about the fresh noodle. I though they could make or purchased better fresh noodle. The soup base was ok. No too bad. For my rice plate, the grilled pork was very tasty and wet. Good grilling! Shrimp was a bit small. My worst experience at a pho restaurant ever in the Bay Area! The place used to be called yo pho witch still was not the best but was still good and they added ox tail and that is something you don't see a lot. But the broth was awful and the noodles were under cooked. But if that was not bad enough that they messed up the Thai ice tea, it's like they added a fist full of star spice witch gave it a bad black licorice taste all in the drink. I say if you want good pho go to pho 89 or pho world, but do not waste a penny hear. read more
