Went here for my birthday and had a good time! The prickly pear margarita was really good! We enjoyed the elote and guacamole. For the price, we didn't get very much guacamole but it was good, as was the elote! The pork belly tacos were very good but the tortillas were too small for the amount of filling. The molcajete was good but I'm not sure we would get it again. Overall, a solid spot for a nice dinner.

Great place for happy hour. They can get super crowded on the weekends so go early. You can't make a rez if you're less than 6 people. Food is always great! Highly rec

A friend and I came here for happy hour and it was great. We got there right when it opened and there was plenty of parking and seating. I got the chicken taquitos which were good, but the highlight was probably the corn and chips. The service was good and we both enjoyed our drinks.

Have been here multiple times and tried several things. The tacos and molcajete can't be missed!! The service has always been consistently good, and the atmosphere is lively but not too loud. We've sat at the bar or at a table, and both are good experiences. Great neighborhood spot!

So confused. Not sure whether to like this place or not. They were short staffed the night we were there so even though there were empty tables there was a wait to balance out the load on the staff that was there. Totally understandable. Our server was nice. Not amazing but not bad either. Are good was nice. Not amazing but not bad either. The prices were not so nice. I ordered the molcajete and was way overpriced for what you get. It made about 5 semi filled tacos for $42. Flavor was good. I don't know folks. Just didn't cut it for me.

This was my first time visiting this venue and was recommended by one of my board members. We arrived Sunday as soon as they opened just in case it would have been busy - we didn't feel like waiting- their hours are on Sunday 4:00pm - 8:00pm. The restaurant is really clean but I almost tripped for the crack in the floor panel and when addressing the staff they said oh we have several spaces in the floor that are like that, mind you what's gonna happen if someone trips and falls??? I ordered chicken enchiladas with a side of rice and black beans and since we were the second ones to arrive - the other party sat at the bar... my food should have been hot, as well as my husband's but it wasn't. The waitress didn't say, oh let me take it back, she said I need to talk to the cook. Ok... I then heard her tell the cook about place and she said they would reheat it. . My husband ordered the steak fajitas and with a side of a cheese enchilada and a grilled onion and jalapeño peppers and tortillas. His cheese enchilada was cold but maybe they hadn't thawed the premade meals out but it was very disappointing. For the pricing of the meals you'd desire and expectations would be a little higher but it's so different than a food truck - you want flavor and hot but maybe next time or I might just stick To the wonderful world of food trucks and get fast service at a cheap price with lots of flavor.

We love coming back to this restaurant so much! Service has been always a top notch as well as food and atmosphere. It's gets very busy between 6-8, which is understandable. Be aware and make a reservations for big parties. Bar is always a great option for a date night!

Another great spot with lots of GF options. My sister lives in the area and we wanted Mexican food so ate here! Loved the menu- it was simple and straightforward. I get lost in large menus so was nice to see a good one with perfect amount of options. I got the red posole which is currently an off-menu special. I have only had posole from my Mexican friends grandma and this was pretty close to hers. It was delicious for sure! My mom also got the green posole, which is a normal menu item, and it was also really good! My brother also enjoyed the mole enchiladas he got. Our server also crushed it. He was perfect at reading the table and knew what we needed at any given time. He also seemed authentic and not "prompted" like a lot of servers these days. Only thing I'd say a bummer about this place is the chips and salsa aren't included free of charge. Overall, loved this place. I am very picky and a critic of Mexican places. This place passed!

Very tasty gourmet tacos and an amazing cocktail menu. And their tacos, they're FAT. They double wrap a pile a of meat in a standard, street taco-sized corn tortilla, but everything stays together really well and is pretty easy to eat (just a little messy). My favorite taco was surprisingly the carne asada, it was bursting with flavor. I'm not very enthusiastic about carne asada tacos generally, but theirs is probably one of the best I've had. They don't chop the asada into fine pieces like a normal carne asada taco, they give you a few thick slices instead. I really liked the habanero salsa on their pork belly tacos - very tasty and spicy. The pork belly was a bit dry though. I also really liked the shrimp tacos, very tasty and refreshing. Where we ran into an issue was with the birria tacos. Many of us got the birria tacos and all of us were spitting out chunks of fat. They also give you probably the saddest little bowl of consume you'll probably ever see to go alongside of it. The bowl of consume is so small, you can't even fit the taco in it to dip it in, and the bowl is half full on top of that. A big component of the Ni Tuyo experience is the cocktails. They have a really extensive cocktail menu where everything looks good. The menu is so tempting, it's hard to not try to run the gauntlet. The strength of the drinks I'd say is medium, so you won't need to be carried out of there if you do try a couple. It's very lively spot when it gets busy and the decor on the walls is very nice, which makes for nice ambience. The service is good but could be better. Mainly, I think they're really stingy with the napkins. When my hands were dripping after eating the tacos, I asked for more napkins and they literally just have me a single napkin instead of the pile I required. For a place like this, I also think their appetizer program could be stronger. We did the salsa trio, but only the standard red salsa stood out. And the queso was nothing special. The only other thing that I really saw stand out was the ceviche. Nevertheless, I do see myself returning to try more of their cocktails and give their recommend molcajetes a shot. I don't think you should expect anything you get here to absolutely blow you away, but they do set you up for a nice meal. Also, it's not cheap here so do keep that in mind.

Wow! One of my new favorite Mexican restaurants in Denver. We got the chips and salsa trio and the Cielo Mar y Tierra molcajete but subbed the tomatoe based sauce for the tomatillo based sauce as recommended by our waitress which was a fantastic choice. You can share the Molcajete with two people. If you come here, you need to get the Molcajete. It seems to be what they're known for and now I know why. The salsas within the trio flight were also flavorful and unique. The tortillas seemed homemade and very fresh. My only complaint is the chips and salsa weren't free like typical Mexican and it was a little pricey for the amount of food you get. But very high quality. That is why I gave it a four star instead of a five. The service was great as was the family-friendly and lively atmosphere. We will be back often!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally made it here! They do not take reservations so you wait in person for your table to be ready! Luckily, we got in around 8.20 pm on Friday evening which is a bit late for dinner but we got a table instantly. I got the papayita drink which was alright and my husband got the Paloma which was good. Our friend was visiting from India and had never tried mezcal, he tried the mahahali drink and that was really good! For apps we got the elote corn and guacamole - both were freshly made. I personally loved the elote corn. For mains we got the tacos - I loved the pork belly tacos, it was almost like the al pastor but better. Our friend is a vegetarian and got the Rajas which he loved. We also got the veggie enchiladas and the pollo main dish - they were both so well made. Overall, I liked the food here! I am glad we stopped by for dinner here.

On a Saturday evening, the restaurant was busy and hopping. It had a fun atmosphere. The food was all good. We ordered the guac and the chips were warm and fresh. The tacos were good, esp the pork belly. The dishes served in the piping hot pots were unique and tasty enough. They were pricey though. Our server was very pleasant. I was turned off because she made an error in serving us virgin drinks (we wanted the drinks normal- with alcohol). I was looking forward to trying mezcal, knowing this restaurant specialized in Mezcals. She corrected this on the tab at the end of our meal, but I feel our drinks should have been comped due to her error. It was busy but there were a few errors in service that night and they were not polished enough to comp the mistakes. Everything added up and it wound up being a pricey meal. I did not feel it was worth a return on my end for the money. I also find it a turn off when service makes an error and just says "sorry". From the attentive service to the fresh preparation of drinks and food, Ni Tuyo is at the top of my restaurant list!! The drink and food menu is innovative and exciting. All of our food came out hot, fresh, and tasty. Cocktails: We ordered the margarita and it was delicious. Perfect drink to start off the weekend. Tlacoyos: These delicious black beans stuffed with cheese fried bread are a must-order! It kind of reminded me of Indian Fry Bread. There was chorizo, cactus salad with a poblano cream drizzled on top. One of my favorite things we ordered for the night! Frijoles Charros: Pinto beans, chorizo, bacon, and pork rinds. Great little appetizer to have as a side dish to your main entrees. Chips and Salsa Flight: Fresh and full of flavor. Each salsa was distinct from the next. There was a traditional red, fire roasted, and tomatillo... all three of them tasted great. Classic restaurant style consistency; I loved it! Morisqueta Molcajete: The flavors were authentic and on point. A large amount of food and perfect for sharing. The pork braised ribs in the tomato garlic sauce was so good! Tres Leches Cake: Lovely dessert to end our amazing dining experience at Ni Tuyo. The cake was perfectly moist and light. I loved the fresh fruit on top. Overall, 5 raving stars!!! The vibe was relaxed and warm. The food was amazing. The staff was welcoming and helpful. I recommend coming here with a group (or a date!) and sharing appetizers, molcajetes, and tacos so you can get a taste of multiple items on the menu. Simply delicious! read more

I can't even begin to express how good this was. The food is phenomenal, the drink options are great. I had the Agua Fresca, which was Watermelon and Pineapple - and it was delicious. The Molcajetes are definitely enough food to share. Adriana was very personable and a great server. She answered all of my questions and was on point with suggestions. So it was date night-- we went to Ni Tiyo, but it was actually Oh Noyo. First off, the server was more interested in her screen time than us. The queso came with soft corn tortillas, not chips. Then we had to order chips. The enchiladas that I was most excited about, were extremely disappointing. They had spice but no flavor, the insides were not seasoned-- they were just something to fill your stomach. The shrimp taco was probably the best thing we ordered, but it was still mediocre and $7. The flautas were good, but that's primarily bc of the fresh guac (the chicken was dry). read more

I heard the hype and it lived up to it. Our server was efficient and on top of everything. The place was packed but we got our drinks and food quickly. Had the pork belly taco, which was wonderfully tender, and the Cameron taco. Perfectly spiced for my taste and left that great little tingle in my mouth afterwards. One of our favorite spots in Denver! They nail it every time- from the cocktails to their molcajetes. What we love most about this place is the atmosphere - it's very easy to have a nice date night or have a family dinner. The ambience and the staff accommodate both. Most of all, they've been amazing with our toddler daughter; they always get her the food quickly and show her care and attention! We popped in one Friday night and it was packed. Put our name in and it ended up being a reasonably shortish wait. We put in an order of cocktails and then the food. The food was quick, we got everything at once; the starters, the beginning tacos, and our ni tuyo. It was a bit of a mess having everything except drinks arrive all at once. The queso was amazing, so gooey and bursting with flavor 5/5. The tacos were a huge disappointment, lacked flavor and depth that you'd expect 1/5. The Ni Tuyo was great, a bowl bursting with flavor and so many options for the next bite 5/5. The cocktails were okay, nothing special, 2/5. Everyone was friendly but it seemed like things weren't fully in gear. We were forgotten at the beginning and then bam, got everything in a rush and then forgotten again. If doing it again would probably get a starter and one of the mains. Plenty of food for 2-3 people. read more

I recently went to Ni Tuyo to meet a friend for Happy Hour. The server was very attentive and available. She came by specifically several times to confirm our orders prior to the end of happy hour. Our first time coming in and holy smokes, the salsas and guacamole are soooo good! We got 2 Asada tacos, 2 shrimp tacos and a Birria taco -- the asada is one of the best steak tacos we've ever had! The shrimp was super tasty and the birria was good, but the steak taco stole the show. The La Condensa cocktail is INCREDIBLE and the house marg is perfect (lime, simple, tequila). The place was buzzin on a Friday night (rightfully so!) and Samira, Oskar, Gina and James were all great! Highly, highly recommend Ni Tuyo! Can't wait to try the molcajetes! read more

My wife and I have come here about a dozen times this year. Every time is great. The pozoles, the elote, the ceviche, the frijoles, the salsa flights, and everything else has always been super good. And the bartenders are amazing. Place is just all around great and the food is delicious. read more

Very impressed! I've never had anything like the morisqueta, but I'd definitely recommend. It is a shareable plate. The birria taco (not pictured) was seriously so good, some of the best beef birria I've had. Every employee was so nice and we really felt welcomed. The food is excellent. Amazing. With our lives busy with little kids, I've been dreaming about coming back here for the past year. Unfortunately, we felt rushed during the entire experience. Food came within minutes of us ordering. Not necessarily a bad thing, unless you are actually trying to enjoy a rare date night away. I don't like restaurants that take forever, but we felt rushed to order, eat our food and pay. We ended up coming home an hour early to our sitter. We get it's popular, but don't drive your clientele out rushing them through dinner. I'm not sure we'll be back. read more

Ni Tuyo Visited the place again on Saturday night 04/20 with some friends. I believe this was our fifth time returning since January 2024 this place is definitely our favorite and now our friends favorite. Consistently good food great drinks, awesome atmosphere and this last time our waitress Leah was over the top , one of the best waitresses we have ever had. I'm really impressed with this place. Tonight was my second time going and both times I've loved pretty much everything they served. Their red salsa is some of the best I've had in town. Hands down best tequila list I've found in Denver, if you're searching for any unique or special agaves they likely have it. I would skip the house marg next time though. Their salsa was also the best I've found in Denver. Everyone at our table got different tacos, we all agreed they were spicy, which we enjoyed, but not sure the value was there for price. I was pretty excited to try Ni Tuyo - I'm a huge taco fan. Came in around 5 on a Tuesday to catch the end of happy hour in tandem with taco Tuesday. Unfortunately it took all of the 30 minutes to get our drinks delivered. For not being anywhere close to full, the service was definitely lacking. Quite disappointed in how inattentive our server was, but I'll give him a pass - never know what someone is going through. The tacos were pretty good - ordered birria and chicken tinga. Birria was bomb aside from being relatively fatty, but I'll give some grace there. Tinga was spot on. Where I was more disappointed was the aguachile. For $14, we got 6 pieces of shrimp, two of which were still partially frozen. Flavor was definitely a let down. Ambiance was nice - definitely lively, but quite loud even sitting in the back corner. read more

Had dinner at Ni Tuyo this evening. Our second time to dine there. Food was very good. Server was excellent. Not sure what the 4% surcharge on the receipt marked "KLW" is about. Didn't see it until I got home. If it was on the menu, I didn't notice it. Couldn't find anything in the FAQs on the website. This long skinny establishment - not necessarily super spacious - can offer you a decent food that you can count on. You don't need anybody to go with - you can be a solo diner because this place is not intimidating in any way. It's that casual. I think this establishment was born in the old Stoney's Cantina space. Whether the place was huge enough to create two businesses (and thus La Loteria occupied half of it), I sort of saw some "remnant" of Stoney's was the impression that I got. Whatever I am correct on this or not, this casual Mex place is all about vivid pastel colored interior where red is mostly dominant. Intriguing murals on walls 360 degrees are quite impressive. Once you are inside, a huge arrow to direct the people to order to their left at the ordering counter. That ordering counter extends all the way where you'll see some bar seatings. The right side of it mostly has tables for small to large groups of people. Like I said, this place is not huge but at the same time, people don't stay long to dine; the turnover is quite quick in a way. The restaurant also gets many walk-in to-go order placers as well. I got me the Aztec Bowl for to-go. This dish is only $11 (as of early May of 2025) and is a vegetarian item. I consume a lot of vegetarian diet and yet my instinct loudly spoke to me to add some protein to it. Whether or not you can keep it non-meat to stay in the vegetarian zone, adding some protein to this dish is a must as if it was by itself, it would be a bit boring because it only has some greens and some slices of avocado. As the add-on, I got me the carne asada ($5.00) that comes with rice. Not bad.. I didn't eat it right after I got home; I meant to get it to eat it the next day which I did (this AM.) It was still fresh where nothing tasted stale. The carne asada was well-cooked with seasonings. In other words, it wasn't salty at all but held good flavors. Now on the receipt, I saw a charge of what's called "takeout service fee" which is 18%. I kind of assumed that this was mostly the mandatory gratuity. At the end of the card transaction, I remember that the different gratuity percentages were listed on the machine and they were quite small because of this fee. It'll be up to you to add more if you wish. Some people might complaint about this mandated system and yet I kind of understand that businesses nowadays must survive by navigating through the rising cost of living. As we have seen our favorite businesses disappear in the recent years, I am here to support them by whatever I could within my power. Whereas the parking on Broadway is a pain in the neck at any time of the day, if I think of a casual Mexican dining in the Baker neighborhood next time, I may stop by here. It's a good establishment to know.

Extremely welcoming staff (I even met the owner, Alex as he was dining with his family), quality food and value pricing, this place checks out for the hidden gem restaurant that's not necessarily super fancy but it's worth every penny and time. Next was another small bite to lead into my next course, also incredible. Wish I could describe it. My next course was the European sea bass. Now, sea bass is my favorite fish of all time. The perfectly crisp skin, the red onion jam, the spicy sweet balance was perfection. I loved every bite. The olive oil potatoes were a perfect complement. Our bartender (who was perfectly friendly and helpful) said he needed his manager to get the free cocktail. To be clear, we had literally no interaction with this woman at any point. So it's not like we did something to piss her off. When she arrived at the POS station - behind the bar about six feet from where we were sitting - she proceeded to complain about the "a-holes" (edited for language) using the Passbook and what a bunch of a-holes those customers were (not knowing we were in earshot). And when the bartender - who knew who we were and that we could hear everything - said in a hushed tone "No, they were nice" she proceeded to tell him that she didn't care and that they're just a-holes. I've never been treated so shoddy in my life in a restaurant for no other reason than using a promotional discount that they voluntarily participated in. It's bad enough to attack your customers for using a discount. But doing it behind the bar where customers can hear you is beyond unacceptable. And doing it when the customers you're talking about are within earshot is the most offensive thing I've ever expereinced at a restaurant. You may go to Steuben's and have a nice meal, but just be aware that behind the bar, they're talking about what an a-hole you are.

This location is a little bigger than some of the others I've been to, with plenty of high tops and some regular tables. The interior is dark, but it works in this setting. I know there are a lot of things on the menu, but I always go for the vegan creamy miso ramen, with no spice. And a side of mushrooms (kikurage) and fresh garlic. The noodles are perfectly al dente and the broth with the toppings just works. The only small downside on this visit was that the restaurant wasn't busy, yet the wait staff kind of forgot about us. But it all worked out, so it wasn't a big deal.

A few minutes later, I watched him seat two parties who had arrived after me. I then spoke with another hostess and told her I was happy to sit anywhere except the couch. She even said she didn't know why I had been skipped. She went to ask the host, and when she came back she confirmed that he had intentionally skipped me. I also overheard him make an inappropriate comment after she questioned him about it. While I couldn't hear every word, it was obvious from the interaction that he had deliberately passed me over because I declined the original seating option. There is a huge difference between politely declining one specific seat and giving up your place in line. The host's attitude was rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. The other hostess handled the situation professionally and was kind, but this host's behavior left an incredibly poor impression. I hope management addresses how guests are treated, because no customer should be spoken about or treated that way.
