A friend and I came here for happy hour and it was great. We got there right when it opened and there was plenty of parking and seating. I got the chicken taquitos which were good, but the highlight was probably the corn and chips. The service was good and we both enjoyed our drinks.

Have been here multiple times and tried several things. The tacos and molcajete can't be missed!! The service has always been consistently good, and the atmosphere is lively but not too loud. We've sat at the bar or at a table, and both are good experiences. Great neighborhood spot!

So confused. Not sure whether to like this place or not. They were short staffed the night we were there so even though there were empty tables there was a wait to balance out the load on the staff that was there. Totally understandable. Our server was nice. Not amazing but not bad either. Are good was nice. Not amazing but not bad either. The prices were not so nice. I ordered the molcajete and was way overpriced for what you get. It made about 5 semi filled tacos for $42. Flavor was good. I don't know folks. Just didn't cut it for me.

This was my first time visiting this venue and was recommended by one of my board members. We arrived Sunday as soon as they opened just in case it would have been busy - we didn't feel like waiting- their hours are on Sunday 4:00pm - 8:00pm. The restaurant is really clean but I almost tripped for the crack in the floor panel and when addressing the staff they said oh we have several spaces in the floor that are like that, mind you what's gonna happen if someone trips and falls??? I ordered chicken enchiladas with a side of rice and black beans and since we were the second ones to arrive - the other party sat at the bar... my food should have been hot, as well as my husband's but it wasn't. The waitress didn't say, oh let me take it back, she said I need to talk to the cook. Ok... I then heard her tell the cook about place and she said they would reheat it. . My husband ordered the steak fajitas and with a side of a cheese enchilada and a grilled onion and jalapeño peppers and tortillas. His cheese enchilada was cold but maybe they hadn't thawed the premade meals out but it was very disappointing. For the pricing of the meals you'd desire and expectations would be a little higher but it's so different than a food truck - you want flavor and hot but maybe next time or I might just stick To the wonderful world of food trucks and get fast service at a cheap price with lots of flavor.

We love coming back to this restaurant so much! Service has been always a top notch as well as food and atmosphere. It's gets very busy between 6-8, which is understandable. Be aware and make a reservations for big parties. Bar is always a great option for a date night!

Another great spot with lots of GF options. My sister lives in the area and we wanted Mexican food so ate here! Loved the menu- it was simple and straightforward. I get lost in large menus so was nice to see a good one with perfect amount of options. I got the red posole which is currently an off-menu special. I have only had posole from my Mexican friends grandma and this was pretty close to hers. It was delicious for sure! My mom also got the green posole, which is a normal menu item, and it was also really good! My brother also enjoyed the mole enchiladas he got. Our server also crushed it. He was perfect at reading the table and knew what we needed at any given time. He also seemed authentic and not "prompted" like a lot of servers these days. Only thing I'd say a bummer about this place is the chips and salsa aren't included free of charge. Overall, loved this place. I am very picky and a critic of Mexican places. This place passed!

Very tasty gourmet tacos and an amazing cocktail menu. And their tacos, they're FAT. They double wrap a pile a of meat in a standard, street taco-sized corn tortilla, but everything stays together really well and is pretty easy to eat (just a little messy). My favorite taco was surprisingly the carne asada, it was bursting with flavor. I'm not very enthusiastic about carne asada tacos generally, but theirs is probably one of the best I've had. They don't chop the asada into fine pieces like a normal carne asada taco, they give you a few thick slices instead. I really liked the habanero salsa on their pork belly tacos - very tasty and spicy. The pork belly was a bit dry though. I also really liked the shrimp tacos, very tasty and refreshing. Where we ran into an issue was with the birria tacos. Many of us got the birria tacos and all of us were spitting out chunks of fat. They also give you probably the saddest little bowl of consume you'll probably ever see to go alongside of it. The bowl of consume is so small, you can't even fit the taco in it to dip it in, and the bowl is half full on top of that. A big component of the Ni Tuyo experience is the cocktails. They have a really extensive cocktail menu where everything looks good. The menu is so tempting, it's hard to not try to run the gauntlet. The strength of the drinks I'd say is medium, so you won't need to be carried out of there if you do try a couple. It's very lively spot when it gets busy and the decor on the walls is very nice, which makes for nice ambience. The service is good but could be better. Mainly, I think they're really stingy with the napkins. When my hands were dripping after eating the tacos, I asked for more napkins and they literally just have me a single napkin instead of the pile I required. For a place like this, I also think their appetizer program could be stronger. We did the salsa trio, but only the standard red salsa stood out. And the queso was nothing special. The only other thing that I really saw stand out was the ceviche. Nevertheless, I do see myself returning to try more of their cocktails and give their recommend molcajetes a shot. I don't think you should expect anything you get here to absolutely blow you away, but they do set you up for a nice meal. Also, it's not cheap here so do keep that in mind.

Wow! One of my new favorite Mexican restaurants in Denver. We got the chips and salsa trio and the Cielo Mar y Tierra molcajete but subbed the tomatoe based sauce for the tomatillo based sauce as recommended by our waitress which was a fantastic choice. You can share the Molcajete with two people. If you come here, you need to get the Molcajete. It seems to be what they're known for and now I know why. The salsas within the trio flight were also flavorful and unique. The tortillas seemed homemade and very fresh. My only complaint is the chips and salsa weren't free like typical Mexican and it was a little pricey for the amount of food you get. But very high quality. That is why I gave it a four star instead of a five. The service was great as was the family-friendly and lively atmosphere. We will be back often!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally made it here! They do not take reservations so you wait in person for your table to be ready! Luckily, we got in around 8.20 pm on Friday evening which is a bit late for dinner but we got a table instantly. I got the papayita drink which was alright and my husband got the Paloma which was good. Our friend was visiting from India and had never tried mezcal, he tried the mahahali drink and that was really good! For apps we got the elote corn and guacamole - both were freshly made. I personally loved the elote corn. For mains we got the tacos - I loved the pork belly tacos, it was almost like the al pastor but better. Our friend is a vegetarian and got the Rajas which he loved. We also got the veggie enchiladas and the pollo main dish - they were both so well made. Overall, I liked the food here! I am glad we stopped by for dinner here.

Had dinner at Ni Tuyo this evening. Our second time to dine there. Food was very good. Server was excellent. Not sure what the 4% surcharge on the receipt marked "KLW" is about. Didn't see it until I got home. If it was on the menu, I didn't notice it. Couldn't find anything in the FAQs on the website. Not a huge deal but maybe a little more transparency for additional charges so there are no surprises? read more

This place really took me by surprise. Service was really awesome, and the people are very genuine. The waitress did an awesome job of highlighting things on the menu (the Pozole Rojo is fabulous...) and the food was so FLAVORFUL and just delicious. Really tender pork in the Pozole, and the Rajas taco had perfect texture and flavor. I went alone, but the waitress said that for a larger party, they specialize in molcajetes. I have never, ever been motivated to write yelp before. I dine out plenty. The food was decent, albeit not cheap. The spice was excellent. Although definitely worthy of a chaser. Having waited 15 minutes for my 2nd beer, half my dinner got cold. I got up, went to the bar and found our server chatting with an employee. Who was behind the bar. I expressed that my food was spicy and I wanted a chaser to finish my meal with. She came back to our table and concocted a poor excuse that she was waiting for a keg to be changed out. All 4 of us customers ordered different beverages. I told her. We don't need any excuses, just go get the beer. She said don't get mad at me. I'm just the messenger. I am in Denver visiting my sister, and she needed some time to study, so I did some digging for a good place for dinner for 1. I enjoyed EVERYTHING I had at Ni Tuyo. The salsa flight was great! I especially liked the sweeter tomatillo salsa. It was taco Tuesday! So I had the Camaron taco and the Birria taco. Both had plenty of flavor, especially with some of the salsas from the flight! I was feeling confident enough in their offerings to try the Tres Leches. MIND BLOWING. I ended up ordering to-go for my sister like, "you have to try this!" Love this restaurant! The owners Nate and Katrina are wonderful. Great local spot, excellent food and the service is outstanding. Our second visit was even better than the first. They had quite the wait (super popular!), but we loved that they had a dedicated waitress taking drink orders for those of us waiting. Our wait was less than the "quoted" time, but we ended up opting to sit at the bar, which we love for the action. The bartenders are so fantastic - they are highly knowledgeable about all the tequilas and mezcals. Our favorite drink is without a doubt the mezcal mule - unbelievable! The owner Nathan is amazing and always working - he is out there running food, bussing tables, making drinks, handing out napkins, you name it. He noticed we waited a little for a seat and offered us chips and salsa on the house. So gracious! Get the birria taco and the tlacoyos (probably spelling it wrong!). The start of a new neighborhood gotta go to spot! We stopped by on Sunday afternoon and discovered a comfortable and friendly restaurant, open concept with a great bar and patio seating. The menu included fun house cocktails and an extensive tequila list. Appetizers were extensive with a good variety a must-have is the Queso Fundido with fresh-made flour tortillas and the chip with salsa flight, awesome freshly made, and delicious! The tacos were all wonderful and finished with dessert flatus! We'll be back to experience the main entrees. All the food was super fresh, perfectly prepared, and to die for flavors! We consider ourselves Mexican restaurant connoisseurs with experiences in AZ, Mexico, Santa Fe NM, and CA. By far this restaurant rates at the top for taste, quality, and authentic southern Mexico food at very reasonable prices! A must try! read more

Service was incredibly slow and got our orders wrong, or plain just didn't check on our table. The drinks were NOT good. The prickly pear margarita was un-drinkable along with the La Chuprasco and Mezcarita. Would not recommend coming here for drinks until they fix the taste. Mocajelte bowls were great, packed a punch and ingredients tasted very fresh. While the food was fantastic the poor service and terrible drinks were big detractors for a $300 dinner. read more

We started off with the chips and salsa flight which I do recommend. Tacos here are pretty good. Tried the pork belly, asada, and birria. The service could be a bit better because our server kept forgetting about us and forgot to place in a taco order so had to wait awhile for my last taco. Heads up....its REAL loud if it's crowded. Could barely hear the person across from me. Maybe it was just a crazy loud bunch but either way...heads up. Also, the food is great but don't fall for the "get the salsa started" without knowing it comes with a cost. The meat is so tender and seasoned so well, you can taste the allspice in it, which is perfect for goat, and so unique to Mexican food. This long skinny establishment - not necessarily super spacious - can offer you a decent food that you can count on. You don't need anybody to go with - you can be a solo diner because this place is not intimidating in any way. It's that casual. I think this establishment was born in the old Stoney's Cantina space. Whether the place was huge enough to create two businesses (and thus La Loteria occupied half of it), I sort of saw some "remnant" of Stoney's was the impression that I got. Whatever I am correct on this or not, this casual Mex place is all about vivid pastel colored interior where red is mostly dominant. Intriguing murals on walls 360 degrees are quite impressive. Once you are inside, a huge arrow to direct the people to order to their left at the ordering counter. That ordering counter extends all the way where you'll see some bar seatings. The right side of it mostly has tables for small to large groups of people. Like I said, this place is not huge but at the same time, people don't stay long to dine; the turnover is quite quick in a way. The restaurant also gets many walk-in to-go order placers as well. I got me the Aztec Bowl for to-go. This dish is only $11 (as of early May of 2025) and is a vegetarian item. I consume a lot of vegetarian diet and yet my instinct loudly spoke to me to add some protein to it. Whether or not you can keep it non-meat to stay in the vegetarian zone, adding some protein to this dish is a must as if it was by itself, it would be a bit boring because it only has some greens and some slices of avocado. As the add-on, I got me the carne asada ($5.00) that comes with rice. Not bad.. I didn't eat it right after I got home; I meant to get it to eat it the next day which I did (this AM.) It was still fresh where nothing tasted stale. The carne asada was well-cooked with seasonings. In other words, it wasn't salty at all but held good flavors. Now on the receipt, I saw a charge of what's called "takeout service fee" which is 18%. I kind of assumed that this was mostly the mandatory gratuity. At the end of the card transaction, I remember that the different gratuity percentages were listed on the machine and they were quite small because of this fee. It'll be up to you to add more if you wish. Some people might complaint about this mandated system and yet I kind of understand that businesses nowadays must survive by navigating through the rising cost of living. As we have seen our favorite businesses disappear in the recent years, I am here to support them by whatever I could within my power. Whereas the parking on Broadway is a pain in the neck at any time of the day, if I think of a casual Mexican dining in the Baker neighborhood next time, I may stop by here. It's a good establishment to know.

Surprisingly, this drink isn't bad at all. It's quite tasty and doesn't taste the alcohol as much. Overall, my friends and I had a great experience here and would highly recommend it!

Our bartender (who was perfectly friendly and helpful) said he needed his manager to get the free cocktail. To be clear, we had literally no interaction with this woman at any point. So it's not like we did something to piss her off. When she arrived at the POS station - behind the bar about six feet from where we were sitting - she proceeded to complain about the "a-holes" (edited for language) using the Passbook and what a bunch of a-holes those customers were (not knowing we were in earshot). And when the bartender - who knew who we were and that we could hear everything - said in a hushed tone "No, they were nice" she proceeded to tell him that she didn't care and that they're just a-holes. I've never been treated so shoddy in my life in a restaurant for no other reason than using a promotional discount that they voluntarily participated in. It's bad enough to attack your customers for using a discount. But doing it behind the bar where customers can hear you is beyond unacceptable. And doing it when the customers you're talking about are within earshot is the most offensive thing I've ever expereinced at a restaurant. You may go to Steuben's and have a nice meal, but just be aware that behind the bar, they're talking about what an a-hole you are.

We had a 5:45 PM reservation but the dining room was already full, so we sat at the bar and were immediately offered menus, water, and house-made chips and homemade salsa (Aaaah-mazing salsa!). Service was friendly and welcoming from our server Hunter to the bartenders and food runners -- everyone was happy to chat. We sampled a couple cocktails (Elderflower Prickly Pear and the Spicy Mezcal). If you like mezcal, the Spicy Mezcal is a perfect balance of heat and bright citrus. The prickly pair is too sweet for my taste buds but love the presentation. For my entrée I tried the Nomada's Best of Plate -- a grilled taco, chicken enchilada (I added green chili), and crispy carnitas (I ate these with a tortilla). All three were excellent and distinct; the chicken enchilada was my favorite and likely what I'll order next time. My wife had the crispy carnitas fajitas -- a generous portion and very easy to eat thanks to a thoughtful presentation. Highly recommend -- just be sure to make a reservation.

I do wish they had spicier salsa options but that's just my preference. I also think the tacos should be doubled up with tortillas because they started falling apart and made it difficult to eat. I ended up just eating the inside of the tacos and left the tortilla. Overall though, nothing bad that would deter me from visiting again. It was a good experience! I would definitely return.
