If I could give this place half a star, I would. The women's restroom wasn't clean, and there were no paper towels. Service was extremely slow. There was only one server for the entire restaurant, and she was responsible for phone orders as well as all tables. The ramen was decent, and the bento boxes were fine. Years ago Ninja Sushi was a favorite of ours in Arlington, the fun atmosphere, the buffet, the price all made it a gem. When I saw it today I was like omg your favorite to my family member so we popped in. My first impression was my shoes were sticking to the floor & there was no buffet!? We were ready to eat. We received menus and were explained to that it is all you can eat but not a buffet. We can choose levels of food at different prices no appetizers included unless you purchase a 39.99 each meal.... I'm sorry but it better be a high end restaurant for that price. What I love the most about an all you can eat or buffet is the food is ready, also I can try a bite of many things, not here. We paid 25 each for 2 sushi rolls a piece. Did we get our moneys worth yes, was it fun, no, was the food good, yes. I hit the restroom before we left... trash piled everywhere to say they don't care about cleanliness is an understatement that trash was not from one day it was from several since there weren't even very many customers at all. Our waiter was super sweet and kind her customer service was in point. In regards to the food, rice/filling ratio on the rolls were insane. We requested to possibly have the rolled made with less rice but they were unable too ( understandable). Rolls were okay and sashimi were not as fresh as I hoped. We did the $34.99 and towards the end, waiter expressed the machine does an automatic 20% gratuity charge for bills over $70 or so. I didn't want to make a big deal as I was planning to tip for service, but after looking at the menu and restaurant, I did not see that disclosed to the customer which makes it illegal for business to add a surprise fee. Essentially paid $78 + $14 (20% gratuity fee) =$91 ....for the price and quality would recommend an alternative restaurant to enjoy sushi at. Overall, best roll there was the Volcano. We were hungry and so ready to eat. We decided to try this restaurant. First of all, I was sticking to the floor on my way to the restroom. Although, the restroom was clean it's just outdated and needs some loving decor. My sister and daughter ordered their food and had no issue. The meal that I ordered I had to send it back'. because It was so salty. Since I had eaten from the plate they wouldn't fully refund me, but they still took the plate away. THIS RESTAURANT IS TERRIBLE!! I placed an order online through there online portal. Order was 38.97. I picked up my food and went home. The next day I get an email showing an added tip. Now since it was an online order, no one served me or offered any drinks while I waited I did not tip. So for me to see an added tip was outrageous. I called the restaurant politely and explained the situation. The referred me to their payment processor and it was an issue on their end. Ok. I get in contact with the processor. The processor after some back and forth explains it was a manually added tip by an employee at the restaurant hours after I left their establishment. I took this information to the business , again politely. The manager had an outrageous attitude with me and proceeded to give me my change back in NICKLES!!! Not pennys , not dimes , not quarters!! NICKLES. I took them, looked at her and left because I wasn't there to make a scene. After all I received my money back. Nickles still spend ‍ anyways I made a comment about this on their instagram. They proceeded to block me and delete my comments. At first I wasn't going to post the review online but now I want everyone to know what happened. I also have all of the receipts so I would love for the owner to come respond and lie that they didn't. Anyways long story short. Don't eat here. The are thieves. Well this will be an odd and funny review because as far I know this place was never shut down and just recently started up the AYCE. It's funny because I can't see this place still being open because this gawdawful service was by far the worst I've seen. You walk and you think it's closed because there was absolutely nobody eating and it was soo dark and gloomy. You get greeted and you are given the filthy dirty menu. How are they giving out dirty menus and there's no customers in and they couldn't clean? Meh could be because it was soo dark inside they didn't see it being dirty? Meh So there's two options to the AYCE and the prices are absurd for mediocre quality sushi I mean you're better off getting those sushi packs at Sam's club. Anyways the prices are $25 and $35 the basic and the premium and there's nothing premium about it like I said it's mediocre sushi. Instead of walking out and heading to JAPAN HOUSE I said let's give them a chance it's not laid out like it used to be where you can just grab your own food so let's try it out. So you can only order two choices at a time and you aren't able to pre order the next roll until your plate is clear. At JAPAN HOUSE you can order 4 options and it's a little cheaper but a whole lot better with allot more options using a single price of $21.99 lunch and $33.99 dinner and you are given a desert where as ninja sushi they charge $25 for basic and $35 for premium and both tiers only have so much to choose from and no desert. It wouldn't be soo bad if it wasnt for the piss poor customer service and BS time of 20mins or more just to get another roll made and that's if they don't forget your order. Three times they didn't make my sushi and they forgot and there excuse was that only one guy was in the back making food. But here's the cherry on top all I ordered was the $25 basic and water whereas the brothers ordered two premiums and drinks. And I had my receipt and they had there's including two separate cards tell me how they screwed up and charged me $80 that was attached to my receipt? How is that even possible to mix up two different orders when the cards are wrapped with the assigned receipt? I honestly don't see this place staying open much longer than it should. read more

Ninja sushi and Grill is sort of an Asian fusion place with sushi rolls and Asian dishes. It is jammed between Texas roadhouse and Olive Garden in Overton Park Plaza in Southwest Fort Worth, just off I-20 near S Hulen St. There's plenty of parking nearby. We stopped in for lunch on a weekday. They have some lunch specials written on a whiteboard in the foyer. They seem to be pretty good deals. The restaurant itself is pretty small and not super bright on the inside. It was quiet which I liked a lot. As far as I could tell the waitstaff consisted of one person lol. There were only two tables occupied so it wasn't a problem. The food took a little while to prepare, and we were beginning to wonder if we were going to be able to eat there or have to take it back to work. We finally did get our food and it was very good! It was visually spectacular! In the pictures I have included you will see a dragon made from sauces. Very cool. It was pretty pricey to say the least. I think we spent about $95 for three people, so I recommend looking at the lunch specials instead of ordering off the menu. read more

They have awesome happy hour drink specials. One of them includes ordering a cocktail and getting the second one for $1. I'm not a big drinker when dining out but how could I resist that? I had a mango margarita and a lychee martini. The margarita was a little weak, but the martini definitely made me happy. I also sampled the lychee flavored sake from the flight I shared with my friend. I really liked the flavor of that one. As far as the sushi buffet, if you're looking for average sushi rolls and variety, it's good. There were not very many raw options but at the price point that is expected. As for freshness, it was better than I expected. This is a place you definitely want to come in during peak times when they're being freshly cranked out. We came in around 5:00 pm on a Saturday and they had a steady flow of customers coming in and out. There's also a hot food station consisting of the usual suspects: fried rice and noodles, tempura, katsu, grilled veggies, gyoza. Nothing stood out to me and I found it pretty disappointing. But again, for the price, it was decent and a great option for anyone who doesn't like sushi rolls. They offer miso, ramen, and udon soup. There are bowls set out on the counter with pre-portioned ramen and udon noodles. You choose your noodle option along with your choice of soup. I did not like this set up exposing the cold, dry noodles to anyone passing by the main walkway coughing, sneezing, breathing. They have a chocolate fountain! This set up was better. The fountain was enclosed in a see through case with an opening in the back to dip fruits, marshmallows, or little bites of rice crispies treats. They also had a creme brûlée mini cup on the dessert bar that was surprisingly delicious. Not too sweet and a nice ending to the meal. Our server Shannon was superrr nice. She's the reason for the extra star. We sensed she was busy but we were fine with it considering it's a self serve establishment. The drinks were slow in coming out but she was apologetic and I honestly didn't blame her. I prefer AYCE sushi with more raw fish options. The service was a bit slow, it took about 20 minutes for us to get our waters and for some reason I received a broken cup which I didn't realize until a puddle of water was forming. Once we got our water it took another 20 to get our order placed. I don't why it took a while but I tried to not be too judgmental. However, once my food arrived I ate and had no complaints! I ordered a ramen and I always save my egg for last, but when I bit into it the egg it tasted very sour and literally had a rotten taste that I instantly had to spit it out. I never had an egg taste that bad before. I didn't say anything since I don't like to complain but then as I took my last bite, I had a long piece of spirally metal in my mouth. That was it for me, I had to throw up due to the insane feeling of spirally metal in my mouth :(. I never had such a bad experience here before but I don't think i'll be coming back anymore. Not only that but my friends got the all you can eat and they received the wrong order which came out very late as well. They also forgot to bring out my other friend's miso soup. I loved this restaurant but now i'm sad to part ways with it. Plus some of the waiters had sweats on and looked a bit unprofessional, I never seen the staff look this disorganized before? Wondered if Ninja Ramen in Arlington took it's place, so i stopped in. I don't think they are associated with the NR in Arlington. They have ramen and a decent appetizer menu. There is no longer a sushi buffet due to covid, so you order that from the menu. I got the Hokkaido spicy miso. It had a nice kick to it. Even though it was spicy, it didn't really have any flavor. Been here a few times now and every time I'm super happy with the food, and service. Presentation is pretty, and the taste is excellent! I have had the I-20 roll, and tonight I devoured a crispy Kane roll! Both were beautifully made and the flavor is magnificent! Only complaint was I wish I had got a picture of the food, unfortunately it was so good I ate it too quickly and the server cleared my table too fast. The staff is sweet and accommodating. Make sure to tip the guys who are making the rolls, you can even watch them make it in front of you up at the bar. The server here named Taya is who took care of me and is very sweet and welcoming.
