Y'all, all I have to say is this place has wonderful sushi. I started with cold sake. I ordered Sashimi Martini and it was fine. The Tuna Tataki is OUT OF BOUNDS. This was some of the freshest food I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant, even if it is hidden in a mall. The portion size of both was large, I could not eat anymore so I didn't order an entree. The staff was very friendly and professional. Took about 45 mins to get food on the table. The super maki tuna was tasty, but a bit too much cream cheese. The ramen broth was really good all things considered although, the egg was fully boiled rather than soft boiled and the sake took about 45 mins to get to the table. Mango sake was a good choice tho. The pomegranate sake tasted like NyQuil. The waiter was nice and apologetic for the wait but the other waiter didn't seem to care we waited so long to be helped. She took our orders but completely brushed it off and didn't pass it down to our actual waiter. Communication wasn't handled well. We got our ramen before the appetizers so there's that to consider. Ordered the pork in pork broth ramen and pork in soy broth ramen. Both tastes good but I prefer the pork broth because the flavor was smooth. The soy broth has spices and more flavor and if you prefer that then that's fine too. I didn't like the hard-boiled egg with the ramen and I don't know if I could've requested for a soft-boiled egg instead but I'll do that next time. They gave generous amount of pork and it tastes good enough. On another visit, I ordered the cucumber maki roll and it tastes alright too but the roll fell apart easily. I like having the original boba milk tea and the important thing is to ask for half the sugar! Or it'll be like drinking sugar water. read more

Best stop in the area for ramen, hands down. I have come here 4 or 5 times now, each time always ordering their pork ramen. The wife has tried their sushi a couple times and it was always pretty good as well. Every time we come there are Asian people making the food and then Russian girls (maybe Czech, or something in that region) dressed in kimonos working the cash register.. Don't expect much conversation from them. The ramen comes with half a hard boiled egg (why not just throw the other half in there is beyond me...?), assorted veggies, noodles, chives, and pork. It is by far the best I have had in the area asides from making it on my own. Note*** Be careful their soup is MOLTEN LAVA hot.. I have never had anything so hot temperature wise in my entire life.. Every time I order their ramen I assume it is being made in a cauldron in the depths of a volcano.. Don't worry about your egg or meat ever being undercooked because the broth will definitely cook it beyond health code standards. Also make sure to mix up the broth a good bit because a lot of the spices like to hang out on the bottom of the bowl/ cup! As for the sushi, both times my wife ordered some it was always very fresh and good ratios of fish/rice. Sushi is always right at Nippon Sushi! I love the special King roll which has every good stuff with seaweed salad on top with 3 kinds of sauce! Also the Tennis roll is my favorite. All i have to say is CHUCK ROLL! It is amazing all the blends of flavor bursting in your mouth. We were shopping in the mall and came across this place and gave it a try. The place is really small and can get really packed. The first time i came here i had to get it to go because it was really packed. Waited about 10 minutes for the chuck rolls and it was so worth the wait. The service is good here they try to accommodate your needs as much as they can. That being said it gets busy here for a reason. The food is just that good. I have to try their ramen next time. Definitely coming back and would recommend to everyone. read more

Food is great! If this was just about the food 5 stars. The wait is always so long to get seated because they are so understaffed and they are understaffed because of the owners. They refuse to pay their people and are honestly rude to them. I have watched them get mad at their employees who are running around helping out multiple tables while they sit and do nothing. If it wasn't for two waiters , Lauren and Chris. I wouldn't go back. But they are so great I want to be able to support them. Definitely try out the food. The beef slices were thick and tender, and the bamboo shoots extremely hearty. My companion had the surf & turf roll, and a California roll, as well as the spring roll appetizer. We both left full and satisfied, and pleased that we'd made such a good choice. The staff were friendly and polite, and our food came quickly. When you gotta shop at the mall but then need to stop and get your sashimi fix while you're in the mall. I dined here twice already. I like to order the bento box for lunch or ramen! This week I order the bento box with my choice of nigiri and sushi roll. The sushi tasted fresh. My only complaint is that the tempura in my sushi to tasted stale. Maybe the shrimp tempura was sitting there all day waiting to be rolled up. The ramen is very flavorful here. I had ramen other places in Pensacola and it was bland. It's a small space and something different if you don't want typical mall food and are in a time crunch. Was craving ramen & saw that this place had decent reviews so I called to place an order for pick-up. When I got to the restaurant, it had a sign right by the entrance that said wait to be seated, so I stood there for a few minutes to see if anyone would come help me. An older lady that worked there came up to me & told me that one of the waitresses will be with me shortly. I stood there for a few minutes and no one came to help. Two other people came in after me and walked further down to where I guess the counter was & got served. I guess I was just standing in the wrong place? The counter is all the way to the back and it is very hard to walk through the place. Still, I stood there for a few minutes waiting for someone to help me. I think the sushi chef knew I was not being helped and lost because he proceeded to ask me if anyone has helped me yet & asked what I need. I told him I placed an order for pick up & he told another guy. The other guy told one of the girls but I was still not serviced until minutes later. Finally, a girl helped me & went to get my food from the back. I ordered 2 Tonkatsu ramens, 1 spicy & one regular. The girl that got my food put it in 2 different bags it made it difficult to carry because it was very hot & I had other stuff in my hands as well. As I was walking out, the older lady saw me struggling and asked if I needed a bigger bag to carry & proceeded to get me a big bag & re-tied the other two bags to put it in one. She was very friendly is honestly the reason for me even giving any stars at all. My guest had the regular ramen & she did not like it. She said hers was very bland and her bowl was full of red oil. She had small random brown things in it as well & her egg looked like there was something wrong with it. I was brown and bruised. I told her it might be just the sauce since normally the eggs in ramen are brown. But that wasn't the case. I honestly thought she was just being picky & didn't believe her negative review until I had my bowl. The first thing I looked at was the egg to see if mine was brown as well, but it wasn't, it looked like a normal hard-boiled egg.. Which that meant that my guests egg definitely had something wrong with it. Which also, ramen is usually served with a soft-boiled, not hard. Even though I ordered the spicy ramen, it was not spicy at all, like you couldn't even taste it a bit. The broth was also bland just like my guest said. The chashu pork was so fatty & super dry. I'm not a picky eater at all, but I was just not a fan of this place. Ive honestly had bag tonkatsu ramens that tasted better than this place.. Overall, to each their own, but I don't think I'd come back & the only reason for any stars at all is because of the nice older lady that helped me out. read more

We came for the ramen based on a recommendation of a friend. The hubs got pork ramen in pork broth. I had the seafood ramen in soy broth. The pork broth tasted much better. The soy broth reminded me of a Chinese soup. The scallops were rubbery, fake crab and shrimp. I'd suggest ordering the pork because seafood is hard to make in a broth without over cooking it. The place is small, so prepare to sit next to strangers who can eavesdrop. We also ordered the steamed dumplings. Not bad. One of the few places that serve ramen, so do go if you are the mood for a bowl. I can't speak for the sushi because we didn't try it. read more
