Nissi Special Banh Mi

What a gem in a parking lot in Burien. I tried the Niss Special which has the cold cut, pork floss and pate. Bread and the ingredients were very fresh. The authenticity was inline with Saigon Deli. Inside looked clean with good lighting ( they even have an instagram corner :)) Folks working there are not super fluent in english but overall they were nice and helpful. I will come back to try their rice dishes.

I ordered through the door dash app but next time I'll be calling ahead as there is an up charge when using door dash and the store had baked goodies that weren't listed in the app. I would 10/10 get the pork sandwich again but without jalapeños. IMO the pho was ok, wasn't the best OR worst I've ever had. Looked nice and clean inside but we took our order back to work.

Beef pho and Vietnamese coffee

So glad to have found a place that serves pho in the morning! For a region with such a large SE Asian population I could never understand why no pho restaurants opened before 11 around Seattle! Vietnamese coffee was great. Sweet and strong like it should be. Pho had plenty of meat and noodles, I'm stuffed! It was pretty good though the broth flavor could be deeper but I'll definitely go back because I miss having something like this for breakfast like when I lived in Cambodia.

Decided to check out the grand opening of this location. And we ended up getting two different dishes. Bun Bo Hue and the pork chop broken rice. The bun Bo hue was quite blend, and there was not much flavor nor spice in the soup base. As for the broken rice, The best thing about broken rice is nailing down 3 things. the pork chop is about 60% protein while 40% of the pork chop was made up of fat, which was very disappointing. It was a mess on this due to how rubbery it was. The broken rice could've been softer, but it felt a bit dry. And lastly, the fish sauce was watered down with a bunch of garlic mince. Overall, this place, even though it was grand opening, it has an opportunity to bounce back from improving their quality and flavor. And for feedback when including pork chop with broken rice try not to include so much fat.

Sooo glad this opened up in my area! Saw an ad for Facebook and was in the next day. Love that they open at 7am, and they have a lot of vegan options. The location is right across from the Trader Joe's parking lot. It is more a deli but there is a seating area inside and outside. I ordered the vegan bun Bo hue and it was delicious and refreshing! I don't come by vegan bun Bo hue often so of course I had to try it. Comes with extra chili oil. They do have a 15% off ending on 9/30 for their grand opening special so make sure you take advance! Will be back this whole week to try other things on the menu.

A great fast casual option for Vietnamese food in Burien. Grab a coffee or fresh juice before getting on the 509 freeway to Des Moines or Seattle. Pickup Lunch or Dinner on the way home. Very very friendly service. Lots of foods for rice meals, bahn mi sandwiches. Fresh smoothies, milk tea, thai tea. I had the steak bahn mi and the bread was perfect, ingredients fresh tender and plentiful.

The banh mi here is in my top 3 spots for the greater Seattle area. It was so good. The portion of the meat to bread is perfect to my liking. The banh mi has pork floss in it as well. I appreciated the meat portion of the banh mi. I got their herbal tea drink in the fridge as well and it was so refreshing. The person who helped us was so kind and nice. I would highly recommend if you're in the area looking to get banh mi or some other Vietnamese goodies. I thought the egg rolls were pretty solid too for a deli.

I was ECSTATIC to see this place open in Burien! I've been wanting to visit their first location since they opened. I got Che Rambutan (AMAZING, they seem to mix it with passionfruit, 5/5). I also got a banh mi was also good, but the bevie was something else! It's a bit tricky to get into the lot, but there's several parking spots, seating, and there's a variety to choose from. I'm planning to try one of the bowls or hot deli food next time. I haven't seen many places like this around Burien/Tukwila/SeaTac, so this is an affordable gem. Thank you for opening in Burien!

The sandwiches are made to order. The bread is really crispy and the meats are sliced fresh. Prices are a little on the high side. The food tasted good but not the best banh mi I've had. Their Thai iced tea was great! They were close to closing so there wasn't much food out in the hot warmers. They just opened this locations so maybe they'll be busier when more people hear about this location.

This corner Vietnamese deli have well rounded selection to satisfy your Vietnamese meal craving. I got their nissi banh mi special and this thing is packed with savory goodness. Blended ice coffee got that nice hardy boost to it makes it perfect for those hot summer days. There's seating along the windows for you to enjoy your meal while traffic watching. Interior design are light and playful vibe.

My bf reminds me of this store we randomly came across one day. It has what the store in Lakewood has but more grocery options. Cute and homey store. I spent about 30mins+ give or take shopping for the family. There are many options of trinkets, chocolates (alcohol ones too) , drinks, mustards, curry ketchups, gummy candy, bread, gravy etc. I did notice they don't carry any Maggie products for gravy and such. I know that was my bro's first question as he prefers that brand lol. The staff is really kind. The deli dude was patient with me as I told him I have a lot to order. I met the female owner and she's a sweetheart. The cashier lady was also so helpful as I couldn't find a specific brand candy. She pointed me in the right direction and luckily there was enough :) There's plentiful parking in the lot, and can get pretty cramped when busy as it's not a big store but has many options. My basket total in my picture provided is $255. My brother in law asked me to take them here next time they're in town as there's so much to look at.

They said that the Vietnamese sandwiches were flavorful, filling, and worth the price. I went with the pork puff pastry, which also had a decent portion size. My's is best known for their banh mis, but they also serve pho, fresh rolls, and other Vietnamese dishes. I ordered the CHICKEN (#10) BANH MI ($8 and change plus tax and tip). The toasted baguette and pickled carrot and daikon were all fresh and crispy. However, I wished they put more vegetables inside. I also was disappointed by the chicken as it was shredded and not grilled. It tasted like canned chicken and was overall kind of bland. Had I known the chicken wasn't grilled, I would've gone with the grilled pork instead. Additionally, there was too much pate (which reminded me of melted salted butter, but gooier - almost like the texture of brie cheese) slathered on the sandwich and so I ended up scraping most of it off. Compared to Yeh Yeh's in Lynnwood, this banh mi unfortunately missed the mark for me (although it is convenient). With that said, I'd give them another try and try the grilled pork next instead with light pate. My mother tried the fresh rolls, and thought they were kind of small for the price. The peanut sauce was decent. I took my lunch to go, but the interior atmosphere is cozy. Service was decent too. Overall: 3/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3.5/5 for atmosphere

Only difference is that one of these aisles has freshly made food like musubi and pastries like brownies and cupcakes. There's even a dedicated kitchen near the cash register where you can order full dishes like omelettes, teriyaki combos and even sandwiches beyond the ones offered inside the fridges! The two of us were oogling at the amount of offerings on their menu and even the pastries they had out. Whether you're paying for stuff you got at the tacks or ordering food from the kitchen, you have to line up at the cash register to get them. I got the loco moco with a single patty while my coworker got their chicken patty - though I eventually had a bite of this myself. For about $14 before tax, the loco moco is extremely filling, mostly because of the rice. Everything else was really good, though. Patty is dry by itself but the gravy and caramelized onions gave it the taste it needed. I asked for my eggs scrambled which is what I got, and it also was a little bland while also having the gravy more than make up for the lack of taste. As for the chicken burger, it is one chicken patty with melted cheddar cheese all in two sesame buns. This was pretty small but makes for a good, quick lunch if needed. There's so many offerings here and I can't wait to come back for their teriyaki combos or even some of their breakfast menu options, which are served only till 10:30am every day. I'll just have to come earlier!

The savory taste was not all there and it needed some salt and pepper on the patties. I would give it a 2.5/5. Overall, if you're looking for a quick stop, this is good for you. So, I made the trip to get Upton's Traditional Seitan and just explore the store. They have a variety of good options, especially for those who create their own meals and like to use whole-grain ingredients. The store is compact, but it offers a wide variety of products. You can purchase assorted nuts by the ounce, or packaged options. They also have a selection of fruits, vegetables, a hot bar, a deli section, and kombucha. I noticed that many of the brands they carry have fewer ingredients, less artificial flavoring and sugars. I visited this store specifically to purchase seitan, and I ended up buying a couple of packages for $5.29 each, which I find to be a reasonable price. I couldn't find this brand at any other store, but I chose it because it has minimal ingredients, low fat and sodium content, and a generous amount of protein at 2 ounces. Many processed foods have a long list of ingredients and oils, which makes them unhealthy and fatty. As a vegetarian who is trying to eat cleaner, I appreciate this product. I also tried the Brew Doctor kombucha, which usually costs $2.50. However, they have a special offer where you can buy two bottles for a discounted price. The kombucha is very light and refreshing, not overpowering with vinegar or sugar. Overall, it's worth the drive to get this product. I'll definitely be coming back for it and other products in the future.
