My wife & I went to Nonna Ina's for our Wedding Anniversary. last night. As we walked in the door we were greeted by "Ciao Bella!" We were escorted to our seats and noticed that the ambiance had dim lighting, soft, pleasant music playing in the background and a friendly atmosphere. They immediately put a plate of bread on our table. The oil & Balsamic vinegar were already on the table..We ordered salads and got fresh greens, cheese on mine & anchovies on my Caesar Salad. I ordered the plate of Antipasta which was so delicious with a spread of different meats, cheeses, small tomatoes, artichoke hearts on a bed of chopped lettuce. My wife had the Salmon topped with capers and I ordered the seafood with Rissotto. Both were excellent! For dessert we had Chocolate cake and a cannoli which were to die for! The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The owners speak fluent Italian and were very accommodating and friendly. I have already told friends of ours from Texas about this restaurant and they are looking forward to visiting (She's Italian heritage) I can't say enough good things about this restaurant other than to say Molto Bene! read more

We dined during lunch and were the first customers of the day for our first visit to the restaurant. At a glance, I would say the owners have created a sense of upscale dining with fabric table coverings, and preset dinnerware and glasses as you are seated. The interior decorations were tasteful to the Italian theme and not overdone. The staff was sharply dressed and we were greeted with a handshake and a genuine feeling of appreciation for our presence. Even with a critical eye, it would be difficult to find any hint of anything that was not sparkling clean; The dining area, restrooms and even a glance into the kitchen, confirmed my opinion. Now the food? Mama Mia! We began with a new-to-us appetizer, Arancina. This gem to the taste buds is four round delicately fried pieces leaving a thin layer of a "secret" combination of bread crumbs and spices, and filled with a heavenly blend of rice and other tasty morsels. My bride ordered the Lasagne, which was creamy and very enjoyable, and my Farfallette Al Salmon was a delight, consisting of al dente bow tie pasta with amazing smoked salmon. While those unaccustomed to smoked salmon may think the taste is a little strong, I loved it. This restaurant is family owned and operated. It was difficult for us to imagine that, with only a month of operation under their belt, everything is running as well as it seems. It will also be nice to enjoy a nice wine with your meal as they will very soon have their license. As much as we enjoyed our restaurant experience at Nonna Ina, and felt the quality and quantity was amazing, it is difficult to wrap my head around a final expense of $79.00 for lunch. However I believe the lunch menu is identical for dinner. But I also feel the quality and overall experience, and for some reason, feels almost appropriate. And therefore, we'll be back. read more

This is definitely not authentic. Not horrible, but the marinara sauce is not homemade, it is from a can. Hence the intense sweetness. The carbonara was basically just cheese and noodles with a little bacon. No flavor. Risotto is hard to screw up but definitely not what I was expecting. Cannoli was frozen so not fresh. Called restaurant directly for reservation three weeks ahead for a birthday celebration for four. Arrived on 12/17/22 and sign on door said private party. Staff explained the guy who took the reservation had been deported, should be a red flag, and they could not contact me to cancel. The owner called later and blamed the problem on Open Table, which was not involved. Based on the inability of staff to get their stories straight and illegal activity, I will not be going back. read more

This review is long overdue. If I can give lower than 1 star I would. Went to this place with friends for a dinner since it has good reviews. Why not, right? As soon as you walk in you will notice they try to pack as much table they can. When you sit on your table, you can hear the other table conversations since the tables and chairs are too close to each other. In addition, this Italian restaurant do not have license to serve wine. Furthermore, if you do not like ACRYLIC NAILS on your food DO NOT DINE HERE!!! We ordered their Special Tagliere, Caesar salad, caprese and carbonara. Towards the end of our dinner we decided to take our leftover tagliere and Caesar salad. The next day hubby decided to have the leftovers for lunch when he realized he bit into something hard. At first he thought he chipped one of his tooth. He spit it out and realized he bit into an ACRYLIC NAIL! We called the restaurant and spoke to a guy name Giuseppe. He claimed he is the owner of the restaurant and the chef (named Giuseppe). He stated that he do not have any female working in his kitchen (LIE! Check out the pics from Google and other website. His wife works in the same kitchen with him!) we sent him pictures of the ACRYLIC NAIL via text as proof. At the end of the phone conversation this "so called owner" did not even apologize and try to point the finger at us. FYI I DO NOT WEAR ACRYLIC NAILS!!! Our first visit. Reservations are the standard so plan on them although calling in during day, you might not get a live person on first or second try. Dinner was pasta for all three of us. The Salmon Falfellette was delicious as judged by both primary and secondary tasters. Lobster ravioli was decent as well and while usually served with a tail on top, they were out that night. They made a slight price adjustment to compensate. Finally we shared gnocchi in a pesto sauce. All three entrees had cream sauces so we'll have another shot next time at their marinara. We watched them prepare a couple of their signature carbonaras but not an option for us this night. Their lasagna seemed popular at the next table over as well. Portions were ample, if not over generous. Each entree could easily be shared 2-3 persons. Service was attentive and professional. The servers stay busy with some of the required table side preps in addition to general waiting. For those inclined, we shared a fairly priced Chianti but by dessert time there was no room. Finally, those desiring a quiet dinner for two might plan elsewhere. It's not terribly noisy either but the walls and general decor don't do much to minimize the otherwise festive dining. read more

This Italian restaurant is spot on! Probably the best lasagna I have had. The carbonara is their signature dish and definitely worth a try. It is super rich and very cheesy as they finish the dish in a large cheese wheel that has been set afire. The spaghetti amatriciana had great flavor and just the right spiciness. i came to this place thinking how good could a utah italian restaurant be? well this was the best dinner i've had in a very long time. first, the ambiance was lovely , i was not aware that the women who greeted us was one of the owners. the food was so well made, fresh ground pepper on the delicious ceaser salad. our waiter was so sweet and friendly, he put up with my step dads jokes and laughed at all of them. the service was amazing and once i learned that the other owner( her husband) was in the back doing dishes. that made the whole experience for me. it's on the more expensive side but oh so worth it! i 100% recommend this place. also i want to say that the owner told me a very nice story, a man came in asking for 1 dollar worth of food and he ended up giving him a free meal. i went here for my moms birthday and we had such a special time. read more

We arrived at 7 for a 7:15p reservation. After waiting 15 minutes, we received sliced bread and water. When our order was finally taken about 7:25 (behind the table of four who sat down after us), we received a Cesar salad. At 8:10, when table of four was ordering desert, we decided that we were done. We offered to pay for the salads. The waitress declined. We have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant. And it's the first time yelp has given reviews that we didn't agree with. We went for a Valentines dinner hoping it would be good. It was fantastic! My wife was greeted with a rose and we were seated shorty after arriving on time for our reservation. Paul our waiter was very attentive and nice. Food was excellent and definitely several notches above what we've had in St George so far. Went to Nonna Ina last night, Tuesday was a great night to go, didn't need reservations. I had the Carbonara that was creamy and delicious and it was fun to watch them bring out the cheese wheel and prepare it in front of me, will definitely have again, my daughter and her boyfriend had the lasagna and it was also delicious, I'm a lasagna snob and this was one of the best I've tried. A bit hard to find. Signage is still up from previous restaurant and the parking situation is bad as there are a lot of businesses that have multiple stalls reserved for their customers and employees. My eggplant was excellent and cooked to perfection. My wife's meal was also very good. The only thing keeping me from giving them five stars was the prices. We didn't have any drinks, salads or deserts and it was still $50.00. way too much for lunch. If I wanted to go out for a special occasion like a birthday or an anniversary this would be an excellent choice. The service was outstanding. I assume it was the owner was waiting tables and he was very attentive but not overly so. There is a lot more room in the restaurant than previously since they aren't selling all the nick-nacs the previous restaurant did. My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed! We ordered the arancina and caprese to start and were amazed. I would've been fine just having those two for dinner! I got the pesto gnocchi for dinner, which didn't have a whole lot of flavor. But my husband ordered the carbonara, and it was the best carbonara I have ever had. It was so flavorful, and they put on a whole show for you at your table! For dessert we got the cannoli, and it tasted like a real Italian cannoli. The manager of the place is from Italy, and he came over to the table multiple times to speak with my husband in Italian and make sure we were having a good time. This place is probably a special occasion restaurant. The food was really, really good. Our waiter was the owner, and he was really funny, but kind of abrupt. Be ready for that. The food is pricy. But it is also very good. My biggest complaint is the location. It's pretty cramped and a very old building. Not what I'd expect from an upscale place. read more
