Loved the food. Loved the service. Loved everything about this little restaurant. Very cozy.

I'm updating my review from 1 year ago. We are out of state visitors so came back this year after enjoying the food last year. Table-side Carbonara was still yummy and fun. Service fine. But here's my take on the "service charge" automatically added to the bill for a party of 2. We didn't notice until after we left the restaurant. If it was added last year we didn't notice! Is this charge because we paid with credit card? Is it an automatic tip supplement? We don't recall any notice on the menu alerting us to this. Not from the wait staff either. So my point is, Nonna Ina, you need to be upfront about this charge. Yes, I would have adjusted my tip downward accordingly. Patrons take note.

Great service and wonderful authentic Italian food! We recommend all of these dishes. The portion sizes are large so come hungry!

Great restaurant, very accommodating. I had the filet Gorgonzola and it was awesome. The art work inside was beautiful we really liked the picture of the temple. Highly recommend.

Family & friends discovered this authentic Italian Restaurant in th heart of St George

Had a wonderful dining experience at Nonna Ina Italian Restaurant in St. George, Utah. Authentic Italian food, exceptional service, and a beautiful presentation of Carbonara made right in front of us made it a real treat. Owner Giuseppe Casella was gracious and accommodating, and we also enjoyed meeting Vicencio. Great food, reasonable prices, and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere. Quaint, yet upscale. Very professional staff. Great experience. Complimentary bread and oil was very good. Salt, pepper and cheese on table would have made it even better. Food was steaming hot upon arrival. Portions were generous. The lasagna was the best ever. Perfect combination of ingredients and flavors. (The ham was a bit different but nonetheless delicious.). The spaghetti with marinara was also top notch. Plenty of really good marinara. Lots of cheese. Overall, our food and experience was fabulous. Can't wait to go back. The tasty peppers on top were a nice and unique touch.

Amazing Italian food! As an Italian I can honestly say it is authentic and delicious. The cannolis are truly the best I've ever had. It is homemade oasta is without equal!

Our appetizers, two entrees and dessert were exquisite! We're here visiting from California and a local told us not to miss out on this place and we're so happy we didn't. Our server was professional, fast and friendly.

Plentiful portions and friendly staff. I almost didn't post a review because of the messy feud going on in the comments, but honestly, it's kind of funny. My experience was with a big family table, and the person I think is the owner, along with his daughter, was super nice and attentive. They even personally served us some of the best espresso ever. There was so much food that we had to box up a lot of it, but it was all tasty. We did get a kick out of finding random grapes and sometimes strawberries getting warm on several of the dishes--it was a quirky touch that added to the charm.

It was a nice intimate Italian restaurant with everything you would hope to find in an Italian restaurant. Very large food portions, bread brought to the table with oils. The food was excellent. Live music was even been performed while we were there.

The carbonara flavor was good, but the sauce was thin--like it had no egg in it. The experience of having it made at the table was fun, but my friend's recipe is at least as good. Service was extremely slow, though, and when our checks came, the items for our party of six were all mixed up in the wrong ways.

Nonna Ina happens to be located near my place in St. George, so it's a quick drive when I want to get dinner. Tonight, I made a reservation and dined in. Perhaps it was because today was Halloween, or maybe because I was a party of one dining at 5pm, but a reservation wasn't really needed. However, if I was to return with a group during prime dining time, I'd probably make a reservation, just to be safe. Service was attentive and friendly, with just the right amount of formality. My server knew the menu well and made good recommendations, including wine pairings and dietary restrictions. I appreciated that I had my own bottle of water at the table, so I never ran out. I drink a lot of water. I ordered the Penne Al Tono E Pomodorino, which is a penne pasta with tomato sauce and tuna. It was really strange, but good. I've never had a combination of red sauce with tuna, and I'm not sure I'd order it again, but it was ok. The strawberry in the middle was an odd touch-maybe something they do in Italy, although I'm not familiar with that twist on the cuisine. Overall, it's a good upscale place with an interesting menu-nothing boring here. I'd probably return and try something else, I'm sure everything is delicious.

My ONLY GRIPE was the service, it was hard to get a drink refill or anything that wasn't food. Food was well-seasoned and portions were perfect, not so much that you question your life choices, and not too little that you're left saying "bruh". The foods, spinach and artichoke dip, stuffed shells, fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, blackened chicken carbonara, and tortellini with parm crusted chicken. Best bite was the blackened chicken carbonara, the heavily seasoned chicken breast with the creamy carbonara was the perfect mix. The spinach and artichoke dip was also pretty good, heavy handed on the garlic but tasty. Oh! The fresh free bread with the olive oil and balsamic on the table *might* fill you up before the meal, it was a good starter. The desserts tiramisu and crème brûlée, tiramisu was ok, quite boozy. And the crème brûlée was a little on the soft side but the brûlée topping was still nice and crackly. Overall, will be back for the food, I think I'm good on the desserts.

This doesn't always mean great but we wanted to give it a try and we are glad we did. We started with escagot. They were very large and extremely tender. So many times a place will smother them with cheese and broil them to rubber. Not here. The garlic was fresh and not overpowering. The snails were definitely the star. One nice touch was the spoon they provided to scoop the garlic and butter onto the provided crustini. My wife ordered the Hungarian Tenderloin Goulash with Goat Cheese Spatzel. She describes the meal as "traditionally clean. All the flavors hit the right notes." I was between several choices. One was the Squid Ink Fruti De Mar. This dish restored my faith in the excellence Squid Ink pasta can be. Having traveled extensively globally, I can truly say I have never had better. The depth of flavor of the pasta grew with each additional bite. Then the seafood - it was evident that each type was cooked separately resulting in each being cooked tonight their optimum perfection. No over or undercooked here. Then the sauce. Not overpowering or over indulgent. Perfect. There is only one thing I will ding this restaurant on - its the wine list and wine prices. The list is lacking and could be much better to compliment to food. The prices for the wine don't match the value. Overall 9.8 out of 10. We will recommend ARAGOSTA and we will return.

45+ Minutes in 100° Heat, Passed Over Repeatedly, Then Offered a High-Top for a Toddler…read more Our experience at George's today was so bizarre, frustrating, and poorly handled that I am still trying to understand how a restaurant could treat a family this way. We arrived as a family of three--two adults and our toddler--and were told the wait would be approximately 15-20 minutes. We were added to the waitlist and waited outside in nearly 100-degree heat. While we waited, several parties arrived AFTER us. We know this with certainty because we watched them walk in, add their names to the list, come back outside, and even chatted with some of them while we all waited. Then, one by one, those parties were called inside and seated before us. After the last of them was seated, I finally went inside and asked the front-of-house employee in the pink shirt whether we were even still on the list. She assured me we were and said we were "next." We then waited approximately another 10 minutes. By the time someone finally came for us, our supposed 15-20 minute wait had become 45-46 minutes. And somehow, that wasn't even the most baffling part. We were walked through the restaurant, past multiple empty, standard-height tables, and taken down toward the bar. We passed yet another regular four-seat table there. And then we were offered a high-top table. For two adults and a TODDLER. Our toddler had physically walked into the restaurant with us when we originally put our names on the list. There was never any ambiguity that we had a small child with us. No booster or appropriate toddler seating was offered at this high-top, either. We obviously declined. Expecting a toddler to safely sit at a high-top is not merely impractical--it creates a completely unnecessary fall and safety risk. We were then informed that if we wanted a normal table, we would need to wait another 10-15 minutes. At that point, I was genuinely stunned. We had already waited more than twice the time we were quoted. We had watched parties who arrived after us get seated ahead of us. None of those parties, to our knowledge, were forced to choose between an inappropriate high-top and an additional wait. And we could literally see empty standard tables. When we specifically asked about the empty four-person table near the bar, we were told we couldn't sit there because that server was having a very busy day and it would be another 15-20 minutes before she could take us. So let me understand this: your restaurant allowed a family with a toddler to wait outside in extreme heat for more than 45 minutes, repeatedly seated later-arriving parties ahead of them, finally brought them inside only to offer seating obviously unsuitable for a small child, and then--while empty standard tables were plainly visible--essentially told them to go wait some more? At what point does someone on staff recognize that something has gone badly wrong and attempt to fix it? There was no meaningful apology. No sense of urgency. No empathy. No attempt to problem-solve. No acknowledgment that the original 15-20 minute estimate had turned into 45+ minutes while other guests were seated ahead of us. What makes this experience even more uncomfortable is that we are a mixed-race couple. I cannot say why we were treated differently, and I am not going to make an accusation I cannot prove. But after watching multiple parties who arrived after us be seated before us, only to then be offered uniquely inappropriate seating for our family, I am left questioning why our family was treated differently. Was there some legitimate explanation that was never communicated to us? Was this simply extraordinary incompetence and poor management of the waitlist? Or was there another reason? I genuinely don't know. But the fact that your staff's handling of the situation left us even having to ask that question should concern management. We were patient. We were polite. We waited far longer than we were told we would. We stood outside with our toddler in nearly 100-degree weather and gave your staff every opportunity to make the situation right. Instead, we were met with indifference and a level of front-of-house incompetence that was astonishing. Restaurants get busy. Servers get overwhelmed. Wait estimates can be wrong. None of that explains why multiple parties arriving after us were seated first, why no one noticed or corrected it, why a family visibly accompanied by a toddler was offered a high-top, or why--after more than 45 minutes--no one seemed remotely interested in finding a reasonable solution. We ultimately didn't need special treatment. We expected competent treatment. We didn't receive it. Management should seriously review how the waitlist was handled today and speak with the front-of-house staff involved, because this was one of the most poorly managed and deeply uncomfortable restaurant experiences our family has had.
