Chicken tom kah is very good here, I would say this is a great noodle soup alternative to pho or ramen on a cold day. The broth has the right balance of Thai flavors, lightly sweet, savory, sour, and a little spicy. The spicy spaghetti is good as usual, would recommend if you want a dry noodle. The interior dining service is good but location is old and campy, it would do for quick lunch or dinner. Feels like eating in Asia. 3.5 stars but 4 for nostalgia and price. This is a solid to-go spor

I had ordered dinner here and it was kind of my fault for ordering at the wrong Noodle World as I thought I had ordered at the once in Alhambra. I actually never knew this place exited just to find out it has been here for a long time. The parking situation itself was pretty tight but i managed to find a spot as it's located in a very small strip mall on Atlantic Blvd. Restaurant itself was pretty small; probably 4-5 tables? I had ordered for pick-up anyways and the staff was friendly. Ordered their Seafood Spaghetti (non-spicy) and their Fried Chicken Wings. Though I wish I ordered their spicy seafood spaghetti instead as the non-spicy was ok. Had to order non-spicy for the kids. As for their fried chicken wings, the wings were dry very fried which wasn't too bad. Good thing is they had a nice sweet tangy sauce to dip the wings in. The chicken itself could've been more juicier on the inside but nevertheless, taste wise is pretty much on par with the location in Alhambra.

It's a nice surprise to see Noodle World still around. There used to be more locations. I ordered to go online and the food was ready within less than 15 minutes. The interior looked clean and well-maintained. Not sure how it was dining-wise but I think most people order to go anyway.

I ordered some pad se ew and some mixed fried rice for delivery and it was so good! The positions are really good to share. The flavor was great for both dishes. For my personal taste the rice had too much onion but they were pieces big enough to pick out. That wasn't my dish tho but I had a taste. If I ordered my own I would ask for no onion if possible. Other than that it was a great lunch! Oh yeah! The peanut sauce is a must! It's so good.

Take out phone order was quick, just waited for less than 10 mins, Noodle came slightly over cooked, soft and soggy. It was nonetheless delicious and accurate for the taste. Portion is plenty.

I ordered the chicken Tom kah but exchanged the protein for shrimp. It was very citrus flavored but I loved it! It was filling and cheaper than the soup place across the street. I was served within 10 minutes. The waitress was friendly. I had a yummy Thai Tea with my meal. Delish!

Noodle World has been a staple in my family for so long, and it honestly never disappoints! If you're looking for a good, casual dinner this is the place. I always get the seafood pad thai, and it's always good. Noodle World serves big portions that I'm never able to finish, which makes it great for splitting dishes with family! I also highly recommend the Seafood Pad See Ew with crispy noodles (my dad's go-to order). The interior is casual, with small tables and a big mural on the wall. The servers are always really nice and cheerful, and the food gets served fast. I really like that this is one of the few places left that still serves almond milk tea too!! It's definitely nothing fancy, but I've personally never been disappointed by the food or service here :)

Went for lunch ordered the pad we yu, pad thai and iced thai tea with boba. Liked the pad thai but the pad se yu noodles were thinner then i usually have and taste wise was just ok. The thai iced tea boba hit the spot! Ordered ate in service was fine (it's a small eatery) we were there right when it opened so maybe the wok wasn't hot enough(?)

this little restaurant is near the atlantic shopping center next to shakeys. looks a lot bigger than it is inside + lots of variety, perfect for when you and your party can't decide which asian noodle you want + friendly service + lots of parking + affordable (~$15 each dish) - very limited seating (we came during lunch and people turned back because there was nowhere to sit) - the dishes are just ok. better off going to a specialty place if you know what cuisine you are craving - slow service overall, this place is good for the variety- they offer chinese, vietnamese and thai noodle dishes all for reasonable price. but the taste is just ok, not bad but not amazing.

Ask the Community - Noodle World

Do they do curb side pick up?

No. You have to park and possibly wait in a line. The food is great but the Covid set up isn't the best

Are there gluten free noodles that can be requested? I didn't read anything in the reviews.

They have a lot of rice noodle dishes but I didn't see any substitutions.

It's simple what they do well here, they make darn good food that tastes like homemade food (healthy and delicious), they price everything on the menu very reasonably (especially in these crazy times), and they treat all their customers like family/neighbors. Now that I've given you the why, let's move on to the good food. We usually order the beef noodle soup because of how tender the meat is and the soup & noodles are just perfect comfort food. And we always pair it with veggies (garlic cucumbers or water spinach) and pork dumplings are also amazing. Almost any of their braised meat rice/noodles are just really good (popular ones are braised pork rice or braised chicken leg rice). Interior space is also very roomy and comfortable for big groups or cozy meals Parking is pretty easy since they have a lot in their back entrance and they used to let you park underground as well but the building's new management started closing the gates at 6pm because they're just sad and unfriendly human beings lol but luckily the surrounding area has many places to park.

After tasting the food and the Braised Beef Noodles, I can tell it's really tasty and light, with no harsh components that make you thirsty and want to drink more water. So far, my family and I have really enjoyed the food here. Definitely will return and try other delicious foods next time.

Beef roll looked more like a giant taco but was also excellent. In the most convoluted sequence of restaurant occupancy in the annals of Chinese restaurants in the United States, Noodle King has supplanted Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch in Alhambra in the space formerly occupied by a different restaurant named Noodle King in the 1980s and 1990s. There's a lot to explain here. I used the compound name for the previous occupant because the name on the front entrance was Rice Hero, the back entrance said Hero's Kitchen and the digital menus said In Joy Lunch. I say the old restaurant was supplanted, not replaced, because the old restaurant sort of still hangs around, with a tiny sheet of paper with all 3 old names taped to the front door, and many old dishes still on the menu. Why the three names I don't know. In Joy Lunch had been a popup that operated during lunch hour serving Dongbei food in a space in YYDS Fried Strings in Rosemead. In Joy Lunch then struck out on their own last year with this space in Alhambra, adding the new names. The old Noodle King had been a Taiwanese noodle fixture before moving out in 2003. Since the new Noodle King also serves some of the Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch items, the same name seems to be just a coincidence. But despite holdover menu items the staff clearly say they're a new restaurant, with the Noodle King himself greeting you at the front entrance and the signage in both front and back now say Noodle King.

On a Saturday evening, my husband and I decided to grab dinner here. Because we parked in the shared parking lot, we entered the restaurant through the back. We were immediately greeted upon entering. After being seated and looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: Fish Tofu Congee, $10.50 prior to tax- This meal truly nourished my soul because I was really sick a few days before and hardly ate anything. The congee was nice and hot and thick, just the way I like it. Portion wise, this is perfect for 2- 3 people to share. But again because I had not eaten much for the last few days, I ended up eating most of it (lol, had not realized how hungry I was until I was eating this). My husband did enjoy this congee too. Beef Stew Noodle Soup, $14.95 prior to tax- My husband ordered this dish and thought the soup was flavorful and the noodles had a nice chew. I also liked this dish and thought it was delicious. My husband finished most of this dish. ------------------------------ (Total= $28.10 after tax, prior to tip) Service was friendly. And because the restaurant is on the small side, it was very easy to get a server's attention if you needed something. Although I did speak mostly Cantonese when I was here (I am actually trying to make myself speak Cantonese more), you can order in English. So you shouldn't have any trouble when you dine here. Overall, coming to The Congee was the right choice for dinner and so glad we did. I do see myself coming back here for another meal in the near future. Please note that there is a unisex restaurant towards the back of the restaurant, right next to the back entrance/ exit.
