Love shopping here. Staff is always friendly and helpful, especially the staff in the dressing rooms and the check out cashiers. It does get a little confusing to maneuver through the women's sections though. Dont quite know what logic is used in the organizing they lay the clothes out in, and as fun as it for a shopper like me to shop, even I get to the point of I can't remember where these are because they move them around so bloody much. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I had a return that was 7 days past the return policy and the store wouldn't even give me a store credit. The staff was not willing to help make an exception which is completely absurd considering we are in a pandemic and have been on lockdown. All the could offer was for me to call customer service. This is extremely frustrating and just sad that as a company they can't understand what the world is going through and on top of that I'm a frontline health care provider who works in a hospital throughout a pandemic. My one day I had off I took the time to come in and return an item that hasn't even been opened and they wouldn't work with me because it was 7 days past the return period..... absolutely disappointing! As a former retail manager, I can confidently say the management of this location sets the overall negativity this store often reflects. Amongst the several bad moments I've experienced in this location, last Friday took the cake. Mind you, I continuously chose to shop here because it's closest to my home and I value my TIME. The associates here are miserable, the lines are ridiculously long and last Friday I overheard a manager verbally gaslighting her employees. She clearly saw there was a long line, rudely interrupted my conversation with the person assisting me and proceeded to wander off and micro manage every employee - INSTEAD OF ATTENDING TO ACTUAL BUSINESS (IE HOP ON THE DAMN REGISTER and bring down the line to properly ASSIST YOUR CUSTOMERS). It shouldn't take a negative customer review for your management to understand BASIC customer service etiquette. The fact that I'm even writing this reflects how poorly this business is run. Which directly affects the reputation that Nordstrom blindly claims about having the "best customer service". Nordstrom - you do NOT reflect your company mantra because you have an endless pool of tainted management and employee who don't do their job. Don't bother inserting how sorry you are under my review. Use that time to be proactive, because your business won't thrive on fluffy yelp apologies. The worst location!! Don't bother. Management is so rude and does not care about the customers needs. In fact I expressed frustration regarding the 2 hour wait and she argued with me and had a terrible tone. Not organized at all. 2 hour wait to return is not acceptable. Again, poor management. I would have one line for returns and workers walking down the line with the iPads doing quick returns and placing in a basket. Other line would be for people who want to go inside and shop. They don't care here about clients. Update: Drove by again today and longer line outside and another longer line inside. Clear they didn't take the feedback and make any changes. I'm a petite woman who works in an industry that likes to say it has a casual dress code but during an interview? I don't think so. You dress up in business wear to show a potential employer you mean business. After trying on everything in my closet to find that nothing fit anymore after not having to wear business suits for maybe the past five years, I thought about going to Macy's, but remembering the last time I shopped there and how I struggled to find clothes that fit, I'm so glad I decided to go to Nordstrom's Rack in Tustin first. Not only did I find a decent selection of business wear in my size, but they also carried brand names (Calvin Klein and Alfani, to name a few) that I could trust wouldn't allow me to walk into an interview looking like a lollipop kid from munchkin land wearing an ill-fitting suit. I mean, you've gotta dress to impress, right? And although I wasn't necessarily there to buy any shoes, I was pleasantly surprised to find two pairs suitable for work. Now I'm not going to rate that it was the best shopping experience ever because let's face it, it's an outlet store and they are generally hit or miss, but I was lucky and hit a sweet spot being able to find what I was looking for when I needed it at Nordstrom's Rack on that day in January. read more

Customer service was horrible. I purchased two blankets as a Christmas gift and did not receive a gift receipt. When I asked for one, the young lady said, it's too late I already finished the sale. So, I said, I know but you didn't ask me if I wanted one. Sales Representative proceeded to tell, look lady I am new here and I do not appreciate your attitude. Jaw dropped. I literally spent $220 in that store and I think I have a right to ask for a gift receipt. The disrespect was just wow. I legitimately waited in line for 45 minutes for a pick up order. I would have left but I was helping my family member who couldn't drive, come get their item... Thankfully their saving grace was the sweet lady who was taking returns and doing order pick up by herself.. which I think is inappropriate for a store to allow only one person to do, especially in a fast paced, demanding environment such as this. I feel so bad for these employees. I was told from another location that their hours are being cut.. that gives me an impression that it's "profit over people" now.. How they can associate the name "Nordstroms" to this store is baffling. A company known for customer service which is severely lacking. I ordered online a gift for my wife and was given the option to have it shipped to the store for pick-up. It stated it should arrive on or before 12/24. I NEVER received an email letting me know that it had been shipped, arrived at the store, etc. Now this morning I get a "refund" email and that my order was cancelled. Apparently it had arrived and was sitting at the store for 7 days and so they automatically returned it. When I called this morning, I got a "there is nothing we can do" statement. No offer to reprocess the order, have it expedited to the store or shipped to my house, nothing. Horrendous. read more

I ordered a pair of shoes online and went there to pick up. She had my package in hand and was searching for me with a smile calling my name since she realized that I have to wait in line to pay for some other items. She is awesome and I definitely will go back to the store in market place! I am writing this as I know how important it may be for someone to be acknowledged on how perfect she has done the job. I was given a gift card to Nordstrom rack by my younger sibling. I went yesterday to the Tustin Marketplace store to use. The cashier scratched the back of my gift card for the pin to use the card and told me that it had already been used. I have had the card since Xmas, and I have not used it. After some investigation, they tell me that someone by the name of Jim ordered things online. I have had the card in my possession and I dont know a Jim. The cashier also tells me that I was the 3rd person yesterday with the same exact problem. If I was the only one with the problem, then the problem would be the place where the gift card was purchased from. How is that possible with 3 different customers and 3 different places of purchase? Nordstrom says that they will not take responsibility for gift cards purchased from third parties. This makes no sense and I strongly feel that this is Nordstrom way to just not take responsibility for fraud being committed with their customers. If someone used a gift card that I have in my possession, it's Nordstrom's responsibility, yet they are telling me that I need to go back to where the gift card was purchased because Nordstrom never got paid. What a nightmare!! No one is willing to help. Nordstrom knows that something suspicious is going on, yet after speaking to 4 diff people at the Tustin Rack, I have been told that Nordstrom is not responsible, and they never got the monies. How is that possible? Regardless of where the gift cards are purchased, they were used to buy things online. Its lack of security on Nordstroms part that fraud is being committed. Nordstrom used to have the absolutely best customer service. Other businesses used them as an example of how to treat your customers. But the past few years they have gone downhill. Try to return something in a pandemic 1 day late. They can't bend a rule for a 40 year faithful customer. The world has changed with covid. But Nordstrom has not adjusted to the nightmare covid has caused. Take a lesson from your customers. Each situation is different. And should be handled accordingly. This is a smaller Rack which I don't mind as it makes it easier to find things quickly. I like the shoe selection but don't fare as well on clothing mainly because their selection of petite clothing is somewhat limited. Prices are okay though I have sometimes found the same thing cheaper at other discount stores. Plenty of parking and less crowded than other Racks. read more

I've been a shopper at Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom for years and years. This store has the worst customer service. I needed to return a dress I purchased because of faulty manufacturing, was happy to receive the same dress as an exchange, but because it was over 60 days they would not return. I get that their business model thrives on seconds and clothing that is not top of the line, but every business I can think of will return something that is defective. The seams and fabric were thin and fragile- as a result the dress fell apart after wearing it for 2 hours. Ridiculous manager, blonde, in her 50's, I didn't catch her name, but she was really condescending. I won't be shopping here again. read more

This place is huge, but like many other Nordy Racks, the shoe section is a mess! This is not to blame the employees, I see people trying on shoes and not putting them back! Like a good ol' TJ Maxx and Ross. The staff was friendly here, and the line was really long at checkout. It was a Saturday, keep in mind. This is a single story Nordy Rack, and there were lots of options. The only section I thought was small and lacking, compared to others, was the home goods section. Really excited to have a Nordstrom Rack so close to home. This is going to be very dangerous. The store was well organized on a large scale, however, the racks in the women's sections could be better. They were bordering on TJ Maxx and Ross messiness with sizes and items out of place. The cashier service was really slow today. I don't know if that is the norm, could just be growing pains. I loved the organization of the hair are section! That and the child section seemed to be the only areas of the store that were clean and well-organized. I think some of the Nordstrom Rack staff at this location (store #168) need to be coached trained on age discrimination. On 02/21/19 at 5:38pm, while completing a purchase, a customer service representative asked if I needed a bag or the box (I was buying shoes). I thanked her and said I do not need neither of them. After that, she said "Good girl!" I was shocked, because I did not expect to be called a "girl." That was very condescending, and I did not appreciate her calling me that. I was upset but I did not know if I should correct her for her ignorance, or just let it go. I or anybody else should not be talked down to, based on our appearance. Though I may look younger than my actual age, I am not at the age to be called a "girl." read more

My first visit to this store and was surprised to see how disorganized the clothes were displayed in the women's section. I saw some on the floor and others tossed on top of the rack. Customers should show some respect as staff cannot keep up with the numbers. After 30 minutes of looking, I gave up and headed for the door. Whenever I'm anywhere near the Tustin Market Place, I make a point of coming to this store. For my money, Nordstrom Rack has an excellent section of women's clothes, and the prices are wonderful! I've had really good luck finding quite a number of beautiful dresses here, most of them at a really respectable discount :-) The selection of shoes here isn't quite as good as their clothes, but when I find something I like, the prices are usually even more deeply discounted than the dresses, so it's really tough to complain :-) read more

One of my favorite branches! I have been to many Nordstrom Racks and this location doesn't disappoint - I prefer this location over the one at South Coast. There's a large parking lot with many spots. The racks are relatively well organized. Great selection of shoes, including designer brands. Plenty of fitting rooms. The checkout line tends to get long, so be prepared for a bit of a wait (or look for one of the "green shirt" employee checkout kiosks). read more

Today my cashier was Kimberly, and she is really. It is A pitta me of what a good cashier could be in this industry retail/sales. Changing the framework from a consumer buyer to more of a team environment as the customer shopping feels the state and I've never made before please read on see if you can follow if you're curious message me. Kimberly ringing me out has left me feeling happy. Apart from just being a Good customer service agent as well as a wonderful cashier... Today was her birthday! And she is always very kind and I don't feel rushed in my checking out experience. As a customer I like to double check prices especially when I'm in the seal area/looking for a good deal and on a budget or trying to stay within the means of my gift card ( which is what I was doing tonight, so as not to spend over the amount on the gift card - continue to save etc.) Feeling rushed at the check out to me makes me feel like I'm being judge/makes me start to sweat... Today I really didn't realize just how much I always feel rushed and I check out/compare prices or wait to the end to decide on a certain few items. Just because I'm going slower than most people does not mean that I am any different, yet most cashiers to and either get frustrated and annoyed or meet you where you're at in this anxiety begins to fester. However Kimberly has never done that in the two times I have had the opportunity and pleasure to have her ring up my items at the end of shopping, she has always been efficient effective as well as calm. Not just calm and kind as In going with the flow but she's also interacting With you. When I talk to her she'll answer your question and if she didn't hear you because the headset on her ear was speaking things to her a.k.a. her fellow employee was talking to her while I was talking, she make sure to account you first and then replied to her partner in the workforce. This might seem like an odd review however tonight I really saw how important it is to have a calm consider a cashier not just because you're working with the money at the front end and for last prevention for the store say, but for the savvy consumer/customer always wanting to stay on a good budget and find the best deals... Kimberly - this is A scenario I normally would not use when I'm customer and checking out on the retail establishment - but Kimberly makes me feel as if we're on the same team, not that I am a customer" always right but that she's working with me not for me and that matters to me in a way that's very special. Really disappointed with how manager handled a situation. After 5 weeks of an extremely sick family and kids home from daycare/me home from work not to get others sick, I was 4 days past my the return window. When I explained that we were trying not to get others sick and offered to show doctors visits, she said we still should have come in 4 days ago. I guess I would rather sacrifice the return money I'm out than potentially get others sick in the past few weeks, but would think in today's pandemic there would be a small grace period when sickness and health of others is a factor. My first time at any Nordstrom Rack and it will be my LAST!! I've never had a wanting to go shop here but my grandma sent me a hoodie from here, it was too big but she sent me the reciept so I could exchange it. I didn't think it would be hard returning or getting store credit since I had the reciept but not the actual credit card. Boy was I wrong!!! First off the store was messy, things were everywhere, there wasn't a designated area for Juniors it was just scattered with the bras. I was very disappointed and didn't find anything close to a hoodie. My mom found a hat and we thought we just exchange it out, NBD right?! Did I mention the insanely long line?!!!! One line for everything! I couldn't believe how ridiculous the line was, that in itself made me want to just walk out and say forget it! Finally we get called next but this is where things went downhill.. the employee asked if I had the credit card I replied no it was a gift (clearly I didn't have the CC, the reciept was from a Henderson, NV location) I said I just want to exchange this hoodie for the hat. Low and behold he returns the full price of the hoodie back to my grandma's credit card and I had to pay out of pocket for the hat!!!! I felt so duped! If this is how Nordstroms handles their return policy for not having the card on hand then they are shady and wrong on so many levels! By far the worst Nordstrom Rack in Orange County. Horrible customer service. I came in with my mom to buy her ankle boots, they were in horrible conduction. The boots looked like they been used and return. I asked an employee in the woman's apparel to help me out and he was rude. He didn't even bother to help me. I asked if a manager so maybe I can finally get helped .Worst part the Assistant manager didn't help at all. She was rude. I asked her if she can at least give me a discount that I will take them as an "as is" and she stated, " we are a discount store, we do NOT give discounts." Granted, I knew that Nordstrom Rack is a discount store I wasn't asking for charity or for the item to be free. I did let her know that if she can please help me order the items online and she said, "No". THE WOREST part of ALL! Is that I asked to speak with the store manager, then she stated "sorry, she is gone for the day try another day." The employee who was helping me out before in the woman apparel laughed and walked away. I did stop her to get her business employee card with her name and she threw at my mom. Sad part is my mother is disabled. That really got to me. I called customer care and the district manager to report her. Never coming here again. And the sad part is that I left a survey for the store manager to see and never got a call back. Sadly, I bought the boots because my mom wanted them because she really wanted them for her birthday.
