Having been to the Nordstrom Rack in Chino Hills, Brea, Costa Mesa, Lake Forest, Mountain View, San Jose this place is probably most lacking in service, organization, and inventory. All other locations have fantastic service and selections. I've always considered Nordstrom Rack to be a "nicer" shopping experience then TJ Maxx or Marshall's. However, for this location try to keep your expectations low. While shifting through the children's shoes I felt like I should've been paid for helping them organize items. Also be aware that while NORDSTROMS has an incredibly generous return policy Nordstrom rack is 45 days (most be with receipt, item cannot be used). In the past I'd never encountered issues making a return but when I tried to return unworn, still in the box with tags, baby shoes the clerk said she'd have to check with the manager. The manager cast a side eye back and said, no. (Don't quite know why she needed to look at us to make that call) One of the pairs was still being sold on the rack, so it clearly wasn't that it was out of style. Keep that in mind when purchasing a gift. That the hassle of making a return may not be worth making your purchase at Nordstrom Rack. read more

My review is on the Nordstrom Rack App I use on my I phone. It is excellent. The menu selection allows me to select my sizes in shoes, shirts, bottom down shirts, pants, and suits at the beginning. Then all the items mentioned with the sizes you selected will appear and you just scroll down. No need to jump around to different areas. Free delivery over $100. It takes about 3 days to deliver and you can return at Nordstrom Rack or by mail (free on order $100+). read more

Management team at the marketplace: I'm a huge Nordstrom / Nordstrom Rack fan. I was in the store recently and somehow there was a mix up about a pair of shoes I wanted to purchase. Long story short and def a bit of mommy brain going on I thought I had purchased them and somehow they didn't make it in my bag. I called the store today and asked to speak with one of the managers on shift. Stephanie kindly transferred me to Teresa who patiently listened to my experience while my 3 year old constantly asked me who I was talking to. Teresa took down my information and called me back a couple times until we figured out what the issue was. Totally my fault however she never made me feel that way and offered to pull shoes that might work. I stopped by tonight and four boxes of shoes were waiting for me to try on. I bought 2 pairs and left the store. Btw, my cashier - I think Erica was super helpful as well. Teresa went above and beyond any commitment Nordstrom had to me and I really appreciated her amazing customer service! The management team is doing a great job with leaders on their team. While I love the fact that this is near my office, it's also a bad thing. Lunch hour is basically rush hour for shopping for most of the people who work nearby. I still don't know why they don't have more people at the cash wrap at one of the busiest times of the day. I was excited that a Nordstrom's Rack opened so close to my house. Unable to check it out until now. It's smaller than the one near South Coast Plaza. Too new!! Not enough inventory. The beauty of the one at Metro Pointe is the fact that it's been around for a LONG time, thus accumulating LOTS of inventory. If you have time to dig through the racks, you will be able to find something that someone missed, looked over, or couldn't fit into. That's the beauty of a "find", especially a really cheap one that was once "overpriced" at the department store. The prices at this NR weren't very competitive. This is the Nordstrom Rack people go to return stuff. Just look at the line when you walk in, mainly returns. This store needs more inventory to compete with other locations. Men's section is lame with barely any good brand names. Women's is hit or miss, I have found a few good things, my best find being an Italian wool coat for only $50. I love a good Nordstrom Rack. Staff is friendly and helpful. Store is smaller than other stores in the Orange County area. I love a good bargain however racks are so stuffed it's kinda hard to look through! I would recommend coming here not on a weekend if you are gonna stop by this store. Also because it is a newer store there isn't as many really good finds. You know the store at Costa Mesa you can come across an awesome bargain of a designer brand. I normally go to the NR in Brea or Costa Mesa, but found myself in Tustin for Clear The Rack this weekend. The layout was different than anything I had seen at a NR, but it was clean and easy to navigate. Most of the CTR items were gone, because I was towards the end of the sale, but I was able to snag some really great deals in the women's department (I couldn't tempt myself and go to the shoe section, but I'm sure I will soon). It wasn't super busy and there was plenty of room to move around, but this could have been because it was late morning on a Sunday. It was so calm and orderly, that it was just out of the ordinary from what I'm used to! My cashier wasn't overly friendly, but such is life. So excited to have this rack open! With the store opening today it was packed, but the service was still great. You can go up to any employee and have them ring you up, which is always a plus. The shoe selection is definitely the best part, although sunglasses come in as a close second. Service was key, and all the employees were super friendly. Parking is accessible as Tustin marketplace is huge. read more

I was pretty excited when this location opened up because it was so close to where I live. It's been a hit or miss with finding things whenever I visit. Sometimes the store is pretty clean and neat, organized with sizes and other times I can't find anything because nothings put back in the right place. The sale section is always a mess. The denim selection here has been pretty nice they actually have my size ( 24) which I feel like I can never find! The lines have never been too long when I've gone, but even with the short lines the cashiers go pretty slow and it ends up being the same wait as if the line was long. Overall the Nordstrom racks are pretty much the same quality and customer service wise, just glad I just have to go down the street to go to one read more

Bathrooms clean, I was stopped for my transparent half face mask because of my glasses & shortness of breath (I faint) & been wearing for over a year everywhere and NEVER had issues or problems. Employee didn't ask me if I had any health issue even though she sees me with my service dog & tell me sorry but my mask is not allowed & brings me a surgical mask or shop online. I have been shopping at Nordstrom since I was sixteen. I have shopped at the Rack by South Coast and most recently at the Tustin Marketplace. I am not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about. What do you expect as it is not the Nordstrom department store it is the Rack. If you want better service and faster checkout go to your local Nordstrom. I will say waiting in the line can be long, but once again what do you expect. I do not find their return policy of 45 days to be an issue. Also the Rack's website is not difficult to use. I have purchased items on-line with no shipping problems and updates in my email. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is super dirty and the clothes is always wrinkled or damaged. Staff is very rude, the don't care about anything and they all look sad. Found tons of ants in the dressing room and there was sticky stuff all over the floor. I went to return brand new shirts that didn't fit me and they said no because it was over the return policy. I told them multiple times that the shirts just did not fit me and they were unwearable. Keep in mind these shirts were brand new. So after I got a little more frustrated the employee called over the manager and I thought I was going to get a good deal. The manager didn't even look at the shirts and she just said the same thing. You have to take your time here and sift through the junk. Sometimes you will find a treasure sometimes you will walk out empty handed. Most of the time I can find one thing I really love. My daughter & I make it a kinda field trip. Dress cool cuz it's usually hot in there and wear comfy shoes and begin your hunt for designer fashions, cosmetics, shoes etc at basement bargain prices. I recently moved to the area and decided to visit this Nordstrom Rack. The store is located in the Tustin Marketplace. There is a lot of parking available. I like this Nordstrom Rack because it is organized and has a lot of good inventory specifically with Free People brand. That's my favorite brand and not very many racks carry good inventory aside from this store. The only con is the lack of registers opened for checkout. Why are stores so greedy now a days? No real customer service especially in the legendary Family of Nordstrom's. I purchased a lip gloss set from Nordstrom to use on my vacation I thought it would work great since it had different colors to use with different outfits. Luckily I opened it and tried it before finalizing my packing because there was something seriously wrong. It didn't blend on my lips it was a smudge mess. Today I went in to return it and they politely said it couldn't be returned because it had been used "they no longer return used items". What is that suppose to mean? So I tell the cashier "he can keep it" because I refuse to accept that he wants me to walk away with an item I paid for but doesn't work. So his response is "I'm not sure what you want me to do with this, I don't understand". I told him to do whatever he wanted with the item. He again repeats himself. So I suggest he can throw it away. He says ok! What the hell! You are asking me what to do you want me to do with it: return it like the classy company you use to be. Honestly, what am I suppose to do with it is what I should have said. It's garbage you sold me garbage and you are telling me you cannot return it and then you proceed in asking me what do you want me to do with it. You are a billion dollar business I don't know maybe treat your customers right. Return the item without making the customer look like the bad guy in all of this. So I walked away. Wonder what he did with the lip gloss I paid $20 for. So sick of retailers crap. read more

Really bad return experience. Tried to return item with receipt and tags attached from an online purchase and she said I couldn't due to it being a few days past return period. I said what if I didn't have the receipt? She said oh then you probably can return it. So basically you are punishing me for showing you a receipt? She said I could come back without a receipt and try again. Lol Then I asked for a bag so I didn't have to walk around the store carrying a nordstrom rack shipping cardboard box. She refused and only offered a plain non printed grocery bag to put my online rack purchases in. So basically even though the can clearly see I'm a very loyal nordstrom and rack shopper you can't give me a bag to walk around your store? Wow! Also the selection at this store is not even comparable to some of the other stores like Brea, Redondo or Laguna. I think this store has a lot more one off pieces rather than racks of the same item like the Redondo store which makes it feel like I'm shopping at Ross. 3 stars for being able to return my Nordstrom purchase here without any hassle. read more

The store advertises about finding people with green shirts for faster check out but anyone with a green shirt either won't make eye contact or will tell shoppers that they cannot help since they don't have a mobile device! Went to Nordstrom Rack Tustin location to get some stretching leggings. As I wait for the dressing room to try on, the clerk was super nice to people waiting in front of me, then it was my turn- she glares at me, "only less than 15 items are allowed" and she says really fast and quickly goes into her little employee room as if I was a virus before I could even respond or ask her to repeat what she said. Really? (I'm perfectly healthy, reside here, have not traveled outside of CA, and I was only carrying few items). Not to mention the man cashier who was very rude as well and when I said Hi, he just looked at me funny and nasty for few mins (simply bc I'm asian) and he really did not seem like he wanted to help me out. The demeanor and attitude was so unnecessary and rude. I never thought I would experience such thing in this neighborhood. Wish I can give zero stars. I'm thrilled that this new Nordstrom Rack location opened. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the VIP Preview and shop before the Grand Opening. As an invited guest, I enjoyed tasty appetizers and champagne. This private shopping party resulted in the purchase of several fashionable items to add to my wardrobe. The accessible parking and convenient location is much better for me than the South Coast Plaza store. I'm really hoping the check out lines are shorter too.
