My boyfriend and I love going here but the experience we had today was horrible. We got sat and waited while 2 other tables around us were served with waters and got appetizer/food orders in. We waited 15 minutes for a server to come by to tell us someone would take care of us. She came by after another 5 minutes. That's 20 minutes we waited just to be greeted. At this point we should've just left and went somewhere else. But we really wanted to eat here today. The waitress wasn't even that sorry and was not the nicest towards us. When she came by we ended up asking to put in our food because after 20 minutes of waiting you know. Our food was still good but we ended up waiting a long time just for our appetizer and our entrees came out right after so what was the point of getting an app if the entrees came out right after. I don't think we will be coming back for awhile and if we do I hope the service improves or the waitress learns what her section is so she can be more attentive to her tables. read more

Food/Drinks: We both started with an appetizer special - Cacio e Pepe Lobster Risotto. This was so good; it needs to become a staple on their menu. For the main entree, I ordered the Beef Tenderloin and DH ordered the Branzino. The meat/seafood was good but the vegetables on both plates were really the star. For dessert, we had Salted Caramel Budino and Pumpkin Spice Butter Cake. It was a good ending to a great meal. As silly as it may sound, don't hesitate to order iced tea. It was a delicious brew. I just...wouldn't come back for dinner. The service was shotty and the prices too steep for the value. We started off with calamari and it was about 10 small rings on a bed of arugula drenched in oil. We didn't have any silverware and it took about 10 minutes to get any servers attention to get them. I got a chicken pasta and asked to substitute shrimp. The shrimp they gave me was literally the size of a dime. My husband got the spicy sausage pasta and it didn't match the description on the menu. It was more like ground sausage not beautiful pieces. The only saving grace was the delicious drinks and tiramisu. I mean seriously the tiramisu is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. New favorite spot! Free parking garage is located behind the restaurant. House-made Italian dishes looked, smelled, and sounded amazing. Took my husband to try out North Italia for his birthday & was not disappointed! The burrata appetizer was excellent As was the bread they serve with it. The amazing touch was that instead of toasting some gluten free bread (their GF pizza crust) so that I could partake as well, they prepared it just like their signature bread! It was toasted nicely with olive oil and balsamic, spices and some sort of light jam or preserves. It was delicious and I felt so special as a long time gluten free diner. Our entrees were excellent! We tried the strozzapreti chicken dish with gluten free pasta and it was excellent. Not too rich but just the right amount of flavor. My husband got the chicken Parmesan, his favorite, and loved it. It was a lot of food! He also got an old fashioned for his birthday and ordered a second, which says a lot. For dessert we had the hazelnut torta, which was the only gluten free option. My brother is a massive fan of north Italia and Warned me ahead of time, "the hazelnut torta is worth whatever allergy you may have, do it." Luckily for me it was safe and it was delicious! I tried north Italian for the first time tonight with some friends. Food was great! We got the truffle butter garlic better for an app. It was absolutely delicious! For dinner I got the funghi pizza bomba style. Bomba style is the sauce they add to the side and it's like a tomato cheese sauce to dip your pizza in. Both the pizza and the sauce were great! My friends meals were also really good and they got the braised short rib and the bolognese. I would recommend this place for the food and the vibes. We have been to North Italia several times and really liked it but last night the food was disappointing. We asked for a side of bread and were served dry stale bread, which the waitress said they gave people who just wanted bread to dip in their food. Not sure what that meant as they have bread on the appetizer menu. My husband's entree of squid ink pasta had way too much garlic and no other seasoning. My branzino was okay, the vegetables were too al dente (for my liking) and it didn't have any real flavor. Service was good and we will probably go back to give them one more chance. read more

This restaurant never lets me down. My husband and I have been here on dates and for a late night family meal when we really wanted real food and not fast food. We tend to order "family style" here, sharing various dishes. You absolutely can't not order the garlic bread. It's incredible and I'm always amazed by how much I can consume. The Italian salad is a perfect balance of flavors and our go to is the chicken parmesan. Pizza is just okay here, but the kids enjoy it. I've tried the Bolognese in the past, and while it is good, it's not as good as mine so I don't bother ordering it anymore. I have yet to try dessert, which is shocking honestly. Also their bathrooms are the best. Seriously. Petition for more enclosed bathrooms over stalls. read more

Bread came with a great balsamic garlic sauce. calamari was served on a type of salad which was alright but the sweet lemon drizzle it had on it was not our favorite, calamari also had a thick breading that we were not fans of. Salad was great! Fresh with good dressing! Pasta was not our favorite, came with an abundance of sauce and not enough noodles. Tiramisu was alright, soggy with not much espresso flavor. Two people with drinks and appetizers will easily be $100 for the evening. Was very ready to be underwhelmed by this place because I don't generally trust nice-r restaurants in the Cools Springs area, but was so pleasantly surprised by this place. The restaurant was popping on a Sunday night around 6:30 pm and I had ordered the fall seasonal salad to go. As I waited, I got to see how many outdoor spaces and an indoor/outdoor bar area that would be ideal for folks like me who are still trying to be cautious amongst these covid times. It's a beautiful, spacious restaurant that, even on a busy like this evening, seemed like you could come in and be seated indoors or out with no wait. There was a bit of a wait for my to-go order, but I so appreciated how attentive the guy putting together to-go orders was for each order. I saw him accidentally drop a bagged order against a door, pick it up, check the order in the bag, replaced the dented takeout top from the bag, and replace the bag before giving it to the customer. On a busy night, he could have easily just tried to hand the order directly to the customer, but he took the extra time to make sure the order was right before giving it to the customer. We love this place. We would have left 5 stars if we could figure out if the bar area is 21 and up. The food is great and the outdoor seating in the bar area is great, when it doesn't have kids. We were seated in the regular area the first time we visited and sat with kids. We found out that there was a bar area and decided to sit in that area of the restaurant. The five times we've been there, there were no kids. Today kids were allowed. So which is it? The bar area kid friendly or not? I enjoy kids but i enjoy my adult time. read more

I've eaten here multiple times, mostly because my dad likes the branzino (and he is buying). One lunch, I ordered an italian sandwich. The salami/pepperoni on it was rancid, I had to walk to the bathroom to spit it out. They replaced it with a meatball sub that tasted not even as good as a Subway meatball. My girlfriend orders the grilled bread here every time we go. I never understood why because it tastes like charred, gas grill/smoky bread. Well, I tried it at the Nashville location and it was awesome. They crank the music up here, especially the weekends, so it is loud. You have to raise your voice to speak to people right next to you. Visually, it is very nice. Last time we ate here, it took almost 30 mins for our salads to come out and the bread came out almost 10 minutes after that, which was ridiculous. I will say the squid ink pasta dish is pretty good and the branzino is even better. Servers are usually very attentive. read more
