We reserved a table in the middle of the day but it took us 2 hours to get the tab. If we had a waiter that would have come by more than 3 times over the entire time it would have gone much faster. We had to go to the bar so some of our party of 6 adults could get a second beverage. The food was overcooked and average at best. We were ready to go after an hour, they could have turned the table twice. The manager came over and told us that they put an automatic gratuity on the tabs that have a party of 8 or more, we had 3 kids with us and each couple paid their own tab. She gave us our options and said she would take the consensus. We all always pay 20% or more. One person in our party said 20% so she walked away. We never complained but she knew the service was super slow so she tried to make sure we left a good tip. We have been to restaurants where they automatically add 18-20% and I have no problem with that but to walk up to a table of 6 adults and randomly give us our options was crazy. We frequent this location often and have been coming here weekly for years without having issues. I was shocked at the service that we received when we came in to celebrate a birthday. My friend checked in (on time) with the front desk for our reservation, letting them know we were here and was told "And?". What do you mean, "And?", this is the check-in desk. She was then rudely told to move out of the way and wait to the side. We had a larger group and when we went to sit down, a waiter told us to "just sit down!" because it was taking us a minute to get situated. We have someone in the group that has a knee condition that takes them a minute to get around. What was supposed to be a nice celebration was soured by this warm welcome. This place is so well run, it was a relaxing experience. We did lunch and enjoyed it very much. The calamari arrived very quickly. A bit oily in my opinion, but the two main dishes were amazing. As soon as we walked in the hosts were super friendly and nice, complimenting my sister it was the sweetest thing to see. Our server gave us the best night ever with our friend in town, we came to celebrate our graduation and to catch up. She talked with the table, checked on us multiple times, and though she was busy she still did a fantastic job getting everything that we needed. Our server even broke down some food items to make sure that my sister liked it as she was hesitant about ordering and she showed she knew her menu!! You can't go wrong with North Italia. The interior feels high end but the prices won't send you over the edge. My favorite appetizer is the Arancini, crispy mushroom risotto balls. The Heirloom Tomato and Burrata on grilled ciabatta was a hefty and fresh portion. The Italian Meatballs are another winner for an appetizer that has lots of flavor but isn't too filling. The food came out within minutes so I'm pretty sure they just have everything already prepared in the back so they can get it out as quick as possible. For our mains the 3 of us split 2 pastas and one salad and they were kind enough to offer to split it for us beforehand which made everything very easy. The Italian Farm Salad was beautifully prepared and full of lots of fresh ingredients with complementary flavors. You'll definitely want to try this one. The Spicy Rigatoni Vodka Pasta with Italian sausage and crispy pancetta was our favorite of the two pastas and it didn't feel too heavy despite the cream sauce. The Squid Ink Mafaldine is for those who are a bit more adventurous as the combination of ingredients was unique like mint, fennel pollen and calabrian chili. I enjoyed it but not everyone in our group was a fan. This is a great spot for a business dinner or date night, as there's plenty to choose from including pizza and entrees and the cocktails are well-prepared. read more

We ordered a bottle of wine, but they were out, so we had to choose something else. My daughter ordered Bolognese, but they were out and gave her spaghetti with meat sauce instead, and without even asking if she would like something else. The manager came by to address our concerns and said spaghetti was an "upgrade because it had meat sauce" and did not offer to remove the charge from our bill nor give us anything for our horrible experience so if you go here for dinner, lower your expectations... we will spend our $300 somewhere else that appreciates their customers and will not be returning! read more

I love North Italia. I've been here multiple times since it's so close to my place. Everything here tastes fantastic. The only thing I would say is make a reservation since they are packed most of the time. We had a reservation yday and still had to wait 20 mins for our table. So docking off a star for that. Food: we ordered the calamari, garlic bread, margarita pizza, pesto pasta, spicy rigatoni pasta and squid ink pasta. All of them were really really good. Specially the pastas. The pesto and squid ink ones were my favourite. For dessert we got the butter cake and polished it off! They changed the calamari plating and dressing from what they used to have and I prefer the old version with lots of arugula and dressing. Wish they would go back to that. The pizza was just right! For drinks, the server was kind enough to switch my drink on request and get me a a custom cucumber martini which was FAB! Our server came by several times to check and see if we need anything and even split our food into two so it's easier for us to eat. This experience: 5 stars. Today (Sunday), we went again. The service was so poor that we were even tempted to talk to their manager. Our server never came to check up on us. Looked at our table and wouldn't even bring some water when my glass was empty unless I ask. Refuse to help even when I asked for to-go boxes that we actually had to ask someone else for some help. He was attentive to another table he was serving but not with us. He even just stood near us and was chilling and despite out attempting to get his attention, he simply ignored us. Came here for a late night munch on a Tuesday night with 2 friends. There was a 25-30 minute wait, which was doable since we could walk around Legacy West. We were seated outside with the heat lamps on, which was nice and toasty. I ordered the Calamari Fritti and a Bolognese to share. The Calamari Fritti was good but I was not expecting the batter as it was. I wish it was more crispy and flavorful. The Bolognese was delicious and really was the House Special. I think overall, this is a decent eat in the Legacy West area and is a good enough chain. When we arrived the couple at the bar spots in which we took left without getting their appetizers so we got a free order of their Zucca chips. They were underwhelming to say the least. We tried their Prosciutto bruschetta which was not bad but I wouldn't order it again. That being said I had the vodka pasta and it was incredible. I had the Branzino which had a good flavor; the veggie were ok the the saucw was ao salty I couldn't eat it. I asked my husband to taste it and confirm what I was tasting. He confirmed it as well. We both told the waitress. She thought since it sits it may get saltier as the day goes on. (Personally, I have not experienced that. Hot peppers, yes.) The service was good the atmosphere nice. I've checked off another restaurant situated in Legacy West with my visit of North Italia last month. Our friends and I decided to sit on the patio during this Friday brunch, and although it was warm, it was completely shaded and their cool and refreshing lemonade was a pleasant distraction, more on this in a few seconds. For my first visit here, I went with the classic Caesar salad with some added chicken. The salad was light, balanced, and the chicken was was nicely seasoned and moist. The real star of this quick brunch was their lemonade. It has been some time since I've tasted lemonade this good. Something so simple can go so unappreciated for such a long time. I wouldn't mind coming here for just for their lemonade in the future. Service was a bit slow on this Friday. I'll chalk this up to a fluke(at least for now). Their outdoor patio is completely shaded above your head so it should stay relatively cool on most days(even in the summer). Located in the very versatile Legacy West, there are so many shops, restaurants, and other various retails stores that you can spend a surprising amount of time wandering around forgetting about time and your wallet. On my first trip here, I ordered the Arugula and Avocado salad with added chicken. The salad was a decent size and tasted fresh, and was satisfying on this semi-warm day. I washed my salad down with a very good lemonade. You'll have to take my word for it as I'm very picky with my lemonade, and I have been disappointed with by far, the majority of lemonades I have tried for the last several years. So much so, that of all things, I wished I could take this lemonade home with me to California. That good. read more

Reservations are usually recommended since tables get taken pretty quickly, especially on weekends. All the food is solid, highly recommend getting the charcuterie board to share with the table. My wife and I had dinner here and we were very impressed with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. We started off with the crispy calamari, which comes tossed with some arugula. While we love arugula and it was a nice complement to the fried calamari, this was the weakest part of the meal since we loved everything else. We then had the squid ink pasta, a margherita pizza, and a side of meatballs. All three items were excellent. The freshly made pasta had a chewy texture, was cooked al dente, and had just the right amount of the squid ink flavor coming through. The seafood in the dish was your average mix of shrimp and calamari. The pizza was perfectly baked, with a good balance of sauce to toppings ratio. The meatballs, which came served on a bed of polenta, were delicious. For dessert, we had the tiramisu, which we thought was one of the best we've had in a long time. We also tried some Santa Cristina chianti, which went nicely with the meal. Michael was a great server who knew exactly when to check on us. He easily rattled off the daily specials and effortlessly answered our questions about the menu items. I can't believe I haven't written a review for North Italia. We absolutely love North Italia! The drinks are always great. The food is fresh. The service is second to none. The pizza is AMAZE. I love the crust. We'd save the crust and dip it in the arancini tomato sauce or the marinara that comes with the meatballs appetizer. Arancini is delightful. Meatballs are also yummy. The Italian Farm is so filling, you do not need to add extra protein. The roasted salmon and grilled branzino are my go-tos. The strozzapreti and squid ink tonnarelli are also good. I am a big fan of the grilled tenderloin and eggs offered on their brunch menu. You really can't go wrong with any of the items on their menu. read more

Previous experiences here have been great, but seems like things have gone downhill recently. Very mediocre overall in terms of food and service. Took way too long to receive drinks and several requests were totally ignored by wait staff.
