July 25 I bought a dozen bunditinis for my client and when i asked my client to open the box, 3 of them didn't have any frosting on top. I felt embarrassed and took a picture of it. I went back to the store again the next day to buy another dozen for another client and showed the picture I took to the owner. She went inside the kitchen and came out with a box of bunditinis and told me that "it's on the house". Now that's what i call "great service"... While the cakes are delicious, the customer service here leaves something to be desired. This location is in my neighborhood, but I will go out of my way to go to another location from now on. The workers there look absolutely miserable. I have also noticed that their pan that they keep the samples in looks dirty, and many times when I walk in it is wide open. Eww! I never eat those. Any other location I go to, they seal the bags neatly with their stickers. At this location they do not. At times, I give these as gifts to others. Presentation is important. Love this place! We order from here for lots of work events - always such a big hit in the office. Everyone gets so excited when the bundt cakes come out. This is our "go to" place now - birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, holidays, etc. Can't go wrong! We were looking for a different option for our wedding cake and went to see if they did weddings. They recommended bundtini's and we were able to try the different flavors. My fiancee loved it too! Love the idea of mini-bundt cakes instead of cupcakes or traditional wedding cake options. Also pretty affordable compared to cupcake options locally! Staff here are awesome too - Allison has been so helpful to us! Great variety - my favorite flavors are lemon, cinnamon, chocolate chocolate chip, and white chocolate raspberry. I cannot speak for the customer service, as I received a small "chocolate chocolate chip" cake as a thank you present from a colleague. It was super moist, chocolatey, not too sweet, and delicious. I really appreciated it! It wasn't the best I have ever had, and was rather "conservative" (traditional, classic without a twist), but it's definitely above what you'd get at, say, Boston Market or KFC for chocolate cake. Or laying out on a table in a plastic clamshell at the grocery store. I prefer my chocolate cake to be more fudge-y or ganache-laden, but their cake is still solid. read more

You can't go wrong with this place! I stopped in Bc I was craving their red velvet flavor and I picked up one of the mini bundt sizes ( a bit bigger then a cupcake) perfect and hit the spot! I just picked up my order at 11:55 am of bundtinis and the woman at the counter was flagrantly rude. Her treatment of the guest she was helping before me was remarkably different than when she spoke to me. She was very kind to the previous customer. Upon viewing me she didn't greet me and was terse. I immediately picked up on her unspoken disdain. I have ordered from this location 3 times prior and was treated very kindly by staff. Her lack of customer service and obvious discrimination will keep me from patronizing this establishment again. read more

So, I called the place to reserve a birthday cake. I did it well in advance and I am sure I dialed the right number too. When I showed up they didn't have it. I was shocked and a little angered that they lost my order - but when all came about I had made my order to another store location, and instead they just canceled that one and whipped up a cake on the spot, the one I wanted, how I wanted it and didn't charge me anything extra. For that I am very pleased. They acted and handled this situation like pros. The negative is that I know I called this location, and I must just assume that the number is forwarded if they don't pickup. The people in the store said this is not the case, and I could be wrong - but I doubt it. The smaller bundt cakes (size of a big burger) are awesome! When it becomes bigger like birthday cake big, the cake losses its awesomeness. It's still good, but not like the smaller ones. That just a tip! read more

I didn't have an opportunity to try a full sized cake but the red velvet bundlett was divine...super moist and not overly sweet. I love the fact that you can buy these mini-sized cakes - they're still shareable and reasonably priced $4 - $5. Service was friendly and the store is super cute and clean. Ordered a cake for Nov 29 for my godchilds 6th bday. He wanted chocolate chip I ordered chocolate chip and the box said chocolate chip. When we started eating the cake it tasted like toothpaste... mmmm definitely not chocolate chip nobody ate theirs and the 6 year old most definitely did not even try it. Turns put they put a mint chocolate chip in the box by mistake. Called that same day and got some halfhearted apologies. Went in the next day and was issued store credit... I dont want store credit I want my money back you already ruined a bday why would I want a cake from you ... this is unacceptable....this should be reported to consumer protection and I will...if you dont provide the right product because of your mistake you should give the money back... read more

Nothing Bundt Cakes This nationwide chain (that began in Las Vegas!) has locations all over the valley,but for tasting purposes, we visited the Arcadia location in Phoenix: General Bakery Presentation: As a group of girls doing tastings, a Nothing Bundt Cakes shop definitely appeals to the "girly" side. Per their website: "When you enter a Nothing Bundt Cakes location you'll find witty, nostalgic decor of rich browns and soft pastels, homey furniture and a warm, friendly persona. Each store features unique and charming gifts, cards, decorator items, apparel, and cake accessories to compliment your occasion." The store definitely matches the description above. And we have to admit that we did spend the first 5 minutes of our tasting not actually looking at the cakes (WHAT??), but shopping around the store! The staff at this Arcadia location was friendly, attentive, and did suggest some samples that we could try while "shopping". Cupcakes Tasted: We purchased 3 Bundlets (single serving size) for tasting purposes, but you can also purchase Bundtinis (small version) and 8", 10", and Tiered Cakes or a Bundlet Tower depending upon your needs. We wished we had included the Chocolate Chocolate Chip in our tasting because they had samples that were yummy, but we decided to branch out of our chocolate comfort zone and try some other flavors! Red Velvet: Described as "scarlet batter of velvety rich cocoa and buttermilk pays homage to its traditional Southern heritage. Every vibrant red cake dances with chocolate chips and is topped with our signature cream cheese frosting". Pecan Praline: Described as: "streusel cake like grandma would bake. Rich, buttery, yellow cake with big bites of pecans enrobed in cinnamon and sugar". Lemon Raspberry: This one was a special flavor and did not have an internet description, but we have combined 2 of their internet flavors to come up with our own description. First, the lemon cake flavor: "each bite of this light and refreshing cake has the smooth, sweet snap of lemon" (from the lemon description) "swirled with the finest raspberry puree" (from the white chocolate raspberry description). Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 Cupcakes Cupcake Break-Down: Did you know?: "At Nothing Bundt Cakes, we're famous for the thick, frosted petals that adorn each of our cakes. Our signature frosting is made with velvety cream cheese and real butter. For a lighter touch, choose our drizzled frosting. Our signature frosting petal design is a registered trademark owned by Nothing Bundt Cakes." Red Velvet: we felt that this cake was dense, but moist (two traits that don't always go together); the cake coloring itself was "oddly red", but the cream cheese frosting was good and not too sweet. Pecan Praline: we liked the "cinnamony" cake that had a "milder" taste; it was unexpectedly good Lemon Raspberry: this flavor ended up being our favorite (which made us sad that it is not normally around); the flavors were "subtle" and "less fake" than we had experienced with other places trying to do lemon or raspberry flavoring. Of all of the Bundlets, this was the one we fought over for who could finish it. Positives: The cakes were moist, the frosting was good, not too sweet or overwhelming. The flavors felt "well-balanced" especially between cake and frosting and cake and flavoring (such as with the lemon raspberry). The store was adorable and was definitely stocked with cake accessories! Staff was friendly, attentive, but not too attentive as to scare us away and allowed us to browse and debate flavors while shopping. Negatives: Our main negatives were, that although each Bundlet was cute and uniform in appearance (which goes along with the branding and the image of the company - see trademarked frosting description above), they were all uniform in appearance (essentially, no individual decorations, nothing to make one flavor stand out from another aside from occasional differences in color of the cake, and the labeling on the container). The Bundlets were "a little chilled", which we had noted from previous experience, keeping cupcakes cooler for preservation sake did not always lead to the best taste or cake "softness"/"moisture". However, despite the initial "chilliness" these little cakes did seem to still be moist and soft for tasting. Our final negative, is something no one should probably ever complain about, but alas, even though we have eaten many a cupcake lately, and even though it says "single serving size" with the Bundlets, they were almost too much for us! (too big??). General Comments: Although not a "true Cupcake" we enjoyed our Bundlets and would definitely return to try some of their other flavors. The signature frosting and flavors works well and have not lost their "goodness" in translation as this namebrand has grown. read more

This year for my significant others birthday she wanted a bundt cake I researched on yelp and came across this place less than 2 miles from my house and I thank my fellow yelpers for the great advice. The Skinny I drove there after work about a week before my girlfriends birthday just to make sure I gave enough time for my order. The girl in the front helped me out and even let me sample some of the cakes I was confused on what to order and she let me know that I can order the small bundt cakes so she can try all the ones they had, SCORE!!! I paid for my order and they gave me my ticket and time it will be ready everything was perfect and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes when I went to pick up. Now for the good part each cake definitely had its very own distinct taste I absolutely loved the lemon and peanut butter cakes those 2 are the best all very moist and fluffy but very soft and rich in taste just perfect, I never was a bundt cake fan till now. The bad When I first walked in I felt like the lady in front felt like she was getting robbed lol im a big guy and I guess I can look very intimidating and I assume they don't get many people that look like me in a cake store. But once I spoke up and let her know what I needed that feeling quickly passed. Overall This place is great the staff is fast and friendly and will give you samples :-) the cakes are amazing and I will be using them again in the future and turn more people into bundt cake lovers. read more

I ordered a dozen cupcakes for a birthday party and told the person on the phone who took my order Sunday was when I would be picking them up. I asked what time they closed and she said 6. I said oh I thought you closed at 4 on Sunday's. She said no 6. So I said ok I will be there a little after 4 as that time works better anyway. She told me the price, looked up my information and confirmed my name. I went to pick them up about 4:45 and they were closed!!! I was so upset as this was for a birthday party and dinner. I had to make other arrangements. Someone called me, I assume the manager the next day as I had left a message. She did say sorry, which I appreciate but it did not seem sincere. I wasn't picking up dry cleaning this was cupcakes for an event. I feel they should have offered the dozen cupcakes to me complimentary as this was their mistake. All she asked was is there something else we can do for you. I said no obviously the party is over. I appreciate the call back and apology. But it didn't seem like they cared that much. Saturday afternoon and I had a craving for a cupcake...Luckily this place was just down the street. I have previously visited the N. Scottsdale location and this is my first visit to this location. My intent was to purchase one Bundlet; a hefty two cupcake worth in size. But the flavors ( 9 flavors this day) were all to my liking and I couldn't settle on one. Also on is a bit over $4 for one Bundlet so I thought why not spend a little more and get more variety and have some to share- I purchased a dozen Buntinis, incidentally, these are only sold by the dozen and were a bit over $18. The Buntings are slightly smaller than an avg cupcake. I was surprised that without notice, they were able to fill my order. The cashier was new but very friendly. The cakes were deliciously moist and decorated with just the right amount of frosting. The price is a little steep, but these are but worth it because these cakes are levels above store bought cupcakes/cakes. read more

I love nothing bundt cakes EXCEPT for this location. I crave the gluten free cake and grab one whenever I can. I stopped by this location a couple days ago picked up my cake and went home to demolish it! I got home and the cake was SO dry I could hardly get my metal fork through it. I took it back today thinking maybe I just happened to get an old one. The lady was rude and pretty much didn't believe me. I told her to try it herself. She took it and I could hear her and another employee talking crap in the back! I took my new cake and left. I got home ready to destroy the fresh cake and guess what? I really like their cakes they are really great...but the customer service is the worst!! Seriously they either have to get new people with good customer service or have the ones they have now do better.....they is specifically an older lady that works there that she just doesn't care about the customers she is quite rude and every time I come to this store and buy something I feel like she wants me to take my cakes and leave. She literally tells me "here you go" and I'm pretty sure if she could tell me to leave she would. I really don't know what her issue is I work for a hotel and we buy cakes here often for office birthdays or parties and it is really disappointing and hurtful the way this specific lady treats her customers. I'm not a cake type of girl and definitely not a cup cake type. I'm more on the creamy tiramisu, cheesecake, gelato side of the house. However, I got a Red Velvet cup cake from here as a welcome gift and now I'm addicted. They are phenomenal! The carrot cake I picked up was decent. However I was told the price was $22 and they charged me an extra ten dollars. When I called and asked why the price had jumped ten dollars, I was told they accidentally gave me the price of a smaller cake. I would have taken the smaller cake if I had known. This cake was good but not worth $32. I should be reimbursed as they took $10 that I didn't plan on spending on cake. This was a shady move on their part. read more

I tried Nothing Bundt Cakes after the fantastic word of mouth and it was worth it. The lady working there was super nice and helpful. The food was outstanding. I got a dozen of the bundtinis (think cupcakes) and my family kind of could not stop eating them. They found the cream cheese-based frosting to be a little much, but that did not seem to actually slow their rate of consumption. It was a little bit pricey but worth a splurge if you are trying to create a nice memory and treat the people in your life.
