Stopped in for a Happy Hour after work on Tuesday and had a great time. Our server/bartender, Samantha, was awesome! She was attentive to us and her other customers. I thought the drinks were good, pricey but you're paying for the view and ambiance so I consider that worth it. We tried the calamari and the "olive picnic" appetizers - both were yummy. This is a great place to go with 4-6 people for a drink early in the evening before heading out, getting a few apps maybe, hanging out on the patio overlooking midtown. I've been here many times and enjoyed good service, good drinks, and reasonable prices for a place on the top of an upscale hotel. The seating is comfy and good for groups, but limited which is why it is an early evening place for me. Standing about in this place when it's crowded really isn't my thing, so don't go to late if you agree. read more

My experience would've been worthy of a 5 star rating had we not had terrible service. I went here with two girlfriends two nights ago and had a bartender named Tamara. She was unfriendly, rude, and acted annoyed by us immediately. My friends and I were polite and NOT loud or obnoxious. When I wasn't sure what I wanted yet, she rolled her eyes and walked away. TEN minutes went by and she hadn't come back to me. I finally had to order from someone else, and when that person told Tamara what I needed, she got snippy and they had an awkward argument right in front of us! Crabby bitch bartender aside, the ambiance and view are amazing, and our drinks were good, although a bit pricey. I liked that the crowd was a bit more my age group (30). I didn't realize I hadn't updated this since the opening. They went through several changes and upped their game. Drinks are good, and staff has really been upgraded. I can still get packed but they have a bouncer now so that helps. I like to go once a month or so, happy they made so many changes for the better. O bar is my go-to for nights I want to feel more important than I am. I throw on a nice dress, maybe paint on a pouty lip, grab a gal pal, and walk in with my shoulders back like I belong. I love the balcony when it is not too hot/cold/windy. There are amazing views of downtown both inside and out. Wine-down Wednesday offers 5$ glasses of the featured wine and is always a good time. My only real complaint is the service. The drinks are delicious and they have the best Moscow Mule I have had in OKC. The service is usually a little slow with makes popping in before dinner/an event a bit of a gamble. Overall a great place for cocktails, especially at sunset. read more

Amazing first time experience! I was brought here by a friend because he was bragging about the drinks and the view. I had the Chai Time cocktail (chai infused vodka) it was spectacular! I sat on the patio was a little chilly but they have heaters out there which made it more comfortable. Nice ambience at the top of a historic bldg hotel that has been renovated with a modern flare. The o bar sits atop with ceiling to floor windows which give a cheery brightly lit atmosphere. The views of the city are spectacular and this is a great cocktail at sunset sort of spot. I love it for that cocktail meet up just before dinner, a concert or staring your night. The crowd is nicely mixed and the bartender is quite spectacular. Definitely will be one of my spots next time I pass through. read more

We've been fans since we found O Bar on the top floor of the Ambassador Hotel in Midtown. The drinks are unique and made with care. We have enjoyed the atmosphere, which is upscale with a great retro feel, and features several seating groups around the intimate space. We've been in different days and times, and while Saturday night is busy, we still got great seats by a window. I saw a couple of reviews which mention the drinks are expensive. Yes, but not any more than any other upscale local bar, and less than some. On our one Saturday visit when the bar was pretty full, the two cocktail waitresses had their hands full, so my husband just walked up to the bar to order. It didn't particularly bother me, as many places are about the same at peak hours. Overall, I would say the O Bar provides a comfortable spot to enjoy drinks with friends and will definitely be back. read more

This is supposedly one of OKC's new hotspots. If I had the option to give them a half star I would. The only thing this place has going for it is the view. The music is horrible and some played at such a loud volume you can't really have any conversation over it. Unless, you go outside amongst the smokers and well that's not for everyone. The service was horrible, it took me around 30 mins to get my first drink and another 20 mins each refill. They only have two servers and you always have to repeat yourself over the loud terrible music they play. Also, the bartenders are assholes they completely ignored me when I tried to get my own refill and spoke rudely to my wife when she went up there to order a drink. Also, after the first drink they kept getting more and more watered down, the only drink there I'd recommend is the old fashioned if you like a strong drink and bourbon. They ended up triple or double charging everyone's card that was in our group when we left because of the terrible service and music. We will not be returning and I will recommend Fassler Hall about a block away. I'd even recommend Louie's across the street over this place. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

Its no exaggeration to say that O Bar manager Jeff Cole and bar tender Rob Lindsey are service industry savants. When my wife Jessica asked to stay at the Ambassador for her birthday I expected to have a nice stay in a nice Hotel and drink in a nice club, but I was blown away by the relentless hospitality of the Hotel and O Bar staff. We have stayed in nice hotels in the past but we have never felt more at home.The ambiance throughout the property is both elegant and timeless, but the gold in our experience came from the pure class exuded by Jeff Cole. The moment we stepped in the room 20 minutes before last call Jeff treated us like we were right on time. Just interested in a night cap these guys made us comfortable and welcome as if we were settling in for the evening. The drinks were perfect and delicious made by the young and brilliant Rob Lindsey. Jess had a french 75 and Rob made me drink that could have been a curated piece at the MOMA. The ingredients escape memory, but the flavor might still be lingering two days later. If you havn't had one of his drinks Id say add it to your bucket list because this guy is going to be famous. We enjoyed our cocktails and forgot about the time. Right before two AM the legal time bars in OKC must close, Jeff explained we would need to exit the lounge, but not with out offering to set us and another couple we befriended up pool side with cigars and a bottle of bubbles. We gratefully accepted and were escorted to an empty outdoor entertainment area that had already been shut down for service. Jeff was quick to arrange seating and lit a fire for us before returning upstairs to shut down his bar. As a service professional myself, I have pretty high standards, its not often that they are surpassed, and even more rare that they completely eclipsed. As I said before these guys are more than pros they are artists of hospitality. read more
