O'Malleys, im not sure why they have bad reviews because our night here was really fun. Its unique from the other bars on 4th ave because it is the most sporty. They have a lot of sports decorations and televisions placed all over. It is also a really big place. Theirs upstairs, downstairs, and outside. Downstairs is a big bar, the bathroom, and pool tables. Upstairs they have a couple couches you can chill on that looked like a very nice and clean area, they had a golf type shuffleboard, giant connect 4s , beer pong, a HUGE screen to watch on, and a second bar, a stage and a live spot. I've been here on multiple occasions and I've never had issues. Bartender and staff has been amazing. I came out on St. Patrick's Day. Yes I understand it's busy. Yes I stood in line with everybody else. My friend got sick (overly intoxicated )and was let into the bar I needed to go retrieve her so we could leave and they wouldn't allow me to do that. Even if I offered to pay or with a security escort. The owner thing said fuck you, stupid bitch and yelled in my face and walked away. After my friend and I had already paid to come in I understand at St. Patrick's Day. I also work in a bar, but there's no reason for the owner of the establishment to be screaming at people in the line at other customers enemy for no reason... I am absolutely disgusted with this place. My son is a second year medical student at the university of Arizona and decided to go out with his girlfriend and friends for one night and came to this bad and very unprofessional place. The bouncer rejected him because his ID was 'bent' last night, even thought it was a valid ID he had a slight "crease" in it. Then the bouncer proceeded to tell him his girlfriend is getting with better guys. Like seriously!?? That's extremely unprofessional and i don't know how this place is operational, that's illegal to deny a customer with a real ID then tell them whatever bullshit that was. If you are over the age of 25, this is the last place you want to show up late at night. But during the day this is lowkey the best sports bar on 4th ave. O'Malleys understands what I want in a sports bar: loud TVs and big tables. Lots of beers on tap. It's nothing exuberant, but solid. Last night we went out for a couple of drinks to celebrate a birthday. The birthday boy tried ordering a drink and the bartender completely blew him off. After about 25 min my other cousin tried asking her for a drink and the bar tender literally rolled her eyes at us.. mind you we were not drunk/obnoxious because we just arrived!! Honestly I thought it was cause we were Mexican and this lady was racist until my white sister-in-law tried to order and she completely blew her off too. Eventually we got served after about 45 mins of waiting at the bar by the much younger bar tender. She was so sweet and kind, thank you love!! I definitely understand it's hard to work in a bar on a very busy holiday weekend but this lady's service was terrible! She ignored many other customers and for what!? I'm still trying to figure out. This is a college bar. Or so it seemed on the night we checked it out during the final days of the massive gem and mineral show. Lots of good-looking people and friendly bar keeps who were really hustling as the place was pretty packed! They certainly have a massive collection of Irish Whiskies (of course) but the beers were delightful and there was plenty to do besides people watch (play pool, flirt with the pretty people, etc.) I think I might become a regular if I lived locally. Great place to watch football on Sundays. Simple menu, delicious food and good service. All the staff were wearing masks, and the tables and the bar are set up for ample social distancing. ***ZERO STARS*** my wife and I after attending an Insane Clown Posse concert at the Rialto, went back to our hotel (Hotel Congress) and showered and changed into to clean dry (none faygo drenched) Cloths. We then walked to O'malleys to get some late night food. When we arrived security asked to see our ID's then quickly added "I'm sorry, but anybody wearing Insane Clown Posse attire I can't allow into the building.", we were turned away and discriminated on because of the shirts on out backs a clear violation of our first amendment rights (Freedom of speech which is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction.) We love hanging out here to watch football games on Sunday. The 49er fans host a watch party whenever they play, and they have a great mimosa bottle special. Food is better than average bar food with some big combos. Overall great place to hang out. read more

I went here while in town for a funeral and drove 30 mins across town to have them turn me down at the door for absolutely no reason. I'm 28 and he said my very real ID was fake. I don't even drink I just wanted to play pool. I offered to get an officer and have it scanned and he said he still wouldn't let me in. Asked if they were going to search anyone else. Might I remind you there was only white people behind me. They proceeded to not let me in because I was "too intoxicated". Although I was standing up for my friends and I had one drink at this point. Very confused on why they didn't let me in, then I realized that a POC bouncer let my friends in. My family and I celebrated my birthday here yesterday afternoon. It's nice to have free parking in this area and we were seated and served quickly. My father ordered the club, my mother had the Philly burger, my son ate the Blackened Bacon burger and I ordered the Southwest burger. My parents ordered tater tots while my son and I enjoyed fries. The fries were good. The tater tots were tasty as well. I'd love to try the potato salad sometime. It was difficult to decide what to eat. All the options sounded good. My burger was cooked well and all the toppings were delicious. My father had a beer and the rest of us enjoyed the Desert Paradise cocktail. It was very refreshing and not too strong. We were all happy with our meals and the prices. I'd definitely recommend it and plan to go back. read more

The awful bouncer accused her of being on hard drugs and that she was "out of her mind". Mind you this was not the case. We went over to O' Malleys to continue our night because the other place we were at closed. I barely got up to the door and started to get my ID out when they said, oh, you have face tattoos, we can't let you in. I was pretty shocked at first, I thought it was a joke, but they were serious... mind you, my whole body is covered in art, and I have a cherry blossom, some other flowers, mandalas, and a heart on my face... I informed them that this is a form of discrimination, and it's not ok to tell people with JUST FACE TATTOOS they can't come in, and both the guys at the door bickered that it's not. There may not be a law, but this is a serious issue. I understand work places to an extent, but a bar?... I'm in real estate school, about to sell houses, but I can't go in this bar? It really just gave me a good laugh. But yeah, this was extremely disappointing to me because I've literally never had this happen to me, I was definitely shocked. Came here to have a few drinks with friends. Sat outside on the patio and had no issues with the bar staff and security was very nice to us. I liked the ambiance of the place especially in the outdoor area. My husband decided to order some wings later in the evening when the place was pretty packed. I don't hate this place but I also don't love it. For starters, the service is very slow even when there aren't very many people at the bar. I have never ate at O'Malleys so I am reviewing for the bar-area. The last time I stopped by was during the day. There was a descent size crowd sitting at the bar but nothing crazy. The bartender took at least 10 minutes to acknowledge my BF and I after we sat down and when she finally did, she came back with and over-poured drink which made a mess. After that, we had to get up to get her attention for another drink every single time. While the drinks aren't bad, and it's fun bar as far as the pool tables and outdoor games go, it's not worth the wait for a simple cocktail and beer. read more

DDD Crew stop #4 on our Dia de los Padres Muertos adventure. Wasn't feelin' it...er...smellin' it. Walked in and my olfactory system was assaulted with an odd mixture of cleaning supplies and spice. Kind of a bleach, pine, cinnamon and clove smell. My girls noticed it too. Saddled up to the bar and discussed turning to leave but didn't want to be completely rude so we all ordered a shot. Down it and get out the door. A couple of girls ordered Jaeger and two of us asked the bartender to surprise us with something that wasn't sweet. She combined Fireball and Crown - really good!
