My goodness! This was probably the best "quarantined" sushi we ever had! Highly recommend this place for reasonably priced and to contain any sushi craving. Everything was fresh, not drowning in sauce and well packed. I checked postmate, doordash and grubhub before placing order. PM and DD offered free delivery, but the service fee was about $17. GH had delivery fee, $5, but no fees if you ordered ditectly from the link on yelp. If you ordered from GH app, there was a service fee oddly. Also, there was one particular roll on GH thag PM and DD did not offer. Anywho, sushi rolls were fresh and it came with the sauce on the side. I was craving the baked dynamite, but was hesistant about ordering it because i thought it would come with everything on top. Glad they seperated it! It was great, but a little runny... it one of those better enjoyed at the restaurant vs delivery. The taste and experience is not the same. The ichiban roll (not on DD or GH menu) had a variety of fish was definitely fresh and clean tasting. The other two rolls were hot night roll and albacore special roll. I am a big fan of tuna so this was a favorite. There was a salmon and scallop roll that i was debating on getting, so I regret not getting that instead of the dynamite roll (next time). Grubhub delivery never fails. The estimated wait delivery time was 1.5 hours but my order arrived with 40 mins. No issue with the order and on top of the normal tips, i threw in the "service fee" amount (that would had gone to DD or PM) to the delivery guy. They are true hero during this time! read more

Today I stopped in to O Sushi on Santa Monica Blvd. Ordered the Bento Box: teriyaki chicken, crab roll, gyoza, salad and soup. The gyoza was a little over cooked but everything else was pretty good. They don't serve alcohol which isn't a deal breaker. Staff was friendly enough. I'd give this place 3.5 stars if I could. There was nothing particularly good or bad about this place it was really just average. I got two salmon and avocado rolls to go for lunch, it took around 10 minutes or less to order and have it be ready to go which is pretty good considering there were a lot of people who were in the restaurant as well. The fish tasted honestly really good. However the pieces fell apart as soon as I looked at them with my chopsticks. I regularly order miso, yellowtail, albacore, or udon with tempura and it's done right every time. The fish is always good quality, I've had the occasional tendon in my nigiri, but I've never had bad fish served to me. I've seen reviews about the staff being unpleasant, which I think is just funny bc the staff has always been kind and respectful to me. The woman working at the register taking your orders is the only person working that job from open to close and she does a good job and actually is attentive when you sit down to eat. Crazy how customers equate "busy" to "rude". Would love this specific restaurant to stick around as the rest of the food in the strip mall is mostly dismal. The Westside is renowned for being expensive, overpriced, and well - you get the picture. But wow! O Sushi is a great find and a fabulous surprise. I stumbled across this place when I was a few doors down visiting Jamba Juice, and was drawn in by their menu posted on the door. 3 item bento box for $9.95? Umm, yes please!! (bento box comes with miso soup, rice and a salad) I ordered the chicken teriyaki, gyoza and cucumber roll, whereas my husband ordered the beef teriyaki, cucumber roll and chicken katsu. One word: delicious! Everything we ordered was fantastic! Portions were plentiful and all food was flavorful. My only 'wish' was that the beef teriyaki were 'chucks' or 'strips' and not super thin-slices, which they were. But no matter - the beef was good quality (not tough, chewy or fatty) - and that's what was important. I highly recommend stopping in if you're hungry and looking for some affordable Japanese food! This is probably my top go-to casual sushi spot. There is never a wait. It's never crowded. They have a big selection on the menu and always offer specials. 9 times out of 10 I'll order their spicy tuna bowl with brown rice and it is always good (I think it's the combo of tuna and their ponzu sauce in there) plus it comes w a perfect size of miso soup.
