As we entered we were greeted with a warm welcome and the just right amount of lighting. For a cool day like yesterday, I believe that the temperature was set to a perfect amount that wasn't too hot and wasn't too cold. We walked to our seats and we had some good lighting that wasn't impulsing, but was just right for the culture of that place. I went yesterday with my family and we ordered almost the perfect amount of food.

Here's some of the things we ordered: Spider Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, California Roll, Crunchy Roll, Dynamite Roll, and this thing called the Sampler, which I absolutely loved. The food was almost perfect, but you got to be light...

with the soy sauce because I think it's a little too salty. When we left I feel that we ate almost the perfect amount of food because I wasn't stuffed, but was also satisfied with the amount of food I ate. I believe that this was genuinely one of the best experiences I had. I actually felt comfortable in that place due to the staff being so welcoming and respectful. I would 100.00% go back to experience this enjoyment again.

My wife had the dynamite roll and fried rice and genuinely enjoyed both. My two critiques: prices are about 40% higher than what we pay back home in Baltimore. I understand things are expensive here, but a 50% mark up is very steep....

Second, the miso soup was terrible and We could not eat it. They actually forgot to pack it in our to-go order and I had to walk back to get it, so it was disappointing that it was not edible. It was entirely too salty, as if someone dropped a whole shaker of salt in it. Apart from these two things it was a fun experience. Edit: I Lowered my rating because the owner contacted me with an obnoxious invitation to return while implying my critiques were wrong. Super unprofessional.

Came here for date night and had a very good experience, we usually order to go but tonight we ate on the front patio. We called ahead just to make sure they allow pets because we had our little chihuahua and our friends had their lab puppy. After being turned away from an old favorite right down the street that no longer allows pets, we were a little bummed, but the lady on the phone sounded happy to tell us they don't mind pets and the outdoor bench seat is dog friendly.

We got a California roll, a cucumber roll and a few other things off the sushi menu as well as a serving of shrimp fried rice to share. Ended the night off with their fried ice cream (which i highly recommend). All around we had a...

Visited OC Wasabi again during my vacay in Ocean City. And as always... the food was wonderful! I highly recommend making a reservation especially during the summer as they are always very busy especially if you are a larger group. We had made a reservation and our table was ready for us when we arrived. Since we have been here before, we were very familiar with the menu and knew what we wanted. We started with edamame and the teriyaki squid. I had ordered the chicken teriyaki meal and it came with a choice of house salad or miso soup. I chose the salad. My sister and cousins shared a sushi boat with a variety of sashimi. Everything came out very quickly and tasted delicious!! Love the freshness of the sushi! We will be back again!

This place was exactly what I needed in ocean city when it comes to sushi! I'm a spice girl and for apps, we got edamame, spicy mussels and spicy shrimp. The shrimp was butterfly cut and topped with crap and a spicy sauce and was so delicious. The Maryland crab fried rice is a MUST HAVE. All of the sushi rolls we got were fresh and delicious and the presentation on the boat was picture worthy. Such a great experience!

It has been a while since I've been here and I forgot how great and fresh their rolls are! My favorite was the yellowtail and scallion roll. I also recommend the chip roll wish is shrimp tempura topped with tuna and sriracha.

We were looking for a light bite to eat walking distance from our hotel. We were seated quickly. Really nice big menu with a ton of sushi options plus other options including tempura. Our waiter was excellent. The sushi was amazing. So fresh and delicious. The tempura vegetables were delicious and the grilled shrimp were delicious. They have a separate restaurant & bar area with 3, TVs. They have an interesting collection of art on the walls that is for sale. We will definitely comeback. (Sorry, no food pics. I forgot it was so good)

This place was editor's pick but didn't have the best customer reviews - so we gave it a try. This place is small, not the cleanest especially for a sushi restaurant. Our waters were empty, and the servers didn't check on us. It feels more like an Irish pub that is decorated in Japanese decor and serves sushi. I may be a bit bias when it comes to sushi. As someone who has lived in Japan and eaten at many Japanese restaurants with world renowned sushi chefs in big cities, this place was not so great. If you haven't experienced real sushi, this place might be okay since you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The sushi rice was a little overcooked so mushy and lacked sushi rice flavor, the fish did not look the most fresh. There was not much flavor to signature rolls either. The wasabi that was used is not flavorful at all, it tasted like a cheaper version which doesn't have the strong horseradish taste. The pickled ginger also tasted like it was sitting out a bit. The vegetable tempura was good. We didn't get sick so that was a plus but the food and ambience was not great enough for us to come back in the futur

We were told by a friend how good it was so definitely wanted to come. It was worth it. It is a small Place and the employees were super friendly. The service and speed of food coming out was excellent. Everything we had was very good the only Thing is the Maryland roll needed a little more flavor and the banana tempura need Carmel sauce not chocolate. We will definitely one back.

So excited to have found this gem so close to our hotel. The interior is cute and cozy, with special tables where your feet are under the floor. We stopped by as a group of four with no reservations and they quickly made room for us at a table despite being full and busy. There is a sushi bar available as well for smaller parties. My table ordered tempura, sushi and chicken katsu and everything was super fresh and cooked perfectly. Even the miso soup was delicious, and that's usually literally the throwaway of my Japanese takeout. The service was so welcoming and accommodating, I'd love to come back next time I'm in town!

Mermaid roll plus crab stick is 10/10. I got 2 rolls and they were delicious. Would reocmmend

Went Sunday night. Got seated right away, casual atmosphere with a bar in second room. Got filet teriyaki because the kitchen entrees where 30% off on Sunday. I didn't get my miso soup and just realized it later. The filet was a little tough but overall good taste. My brother got sushi and said it was yummy. Alaska roll was perfect combo savory/salty. Epic Sushi! The Baked Phatty J is my absolute favorite. They also have an excellent martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives. An eggplant appetizer recommended by the bartender was a delightful yet unexpected taste explosion. I visit OCMD 3-4x every summer and look forward to my dinners at OC Wasabi. This venue should be everyone's "go-to" sushi spot in Ocean City. Just wow. I'm an avid sushi eater from New York to New Jersey but the freshness of the seafood being used at OC Wasabi was just astounding. My favorite role was The Killa -- must! Pricing was very just for the quality. Will be coming back next trip to OCMD. read more

The service and sushi was great! The seafood soup was really good, but the portion was a bit small. Right now they are mainly open for carryout and patio dining which is right on Coastal Hwy. Definitely a great spot to hit and on Thursdays they run a 20% off for dine in or carry out. read more

Ordered for take out. Solid crab fried rice and vegetable fried rice, nothing terrible but not special. The stars of the show were the crispy pork dumplings. Some of the best I have had anywhere. The outside was crispy with the inside being very flavorful and juicy. read more

One of the few Asian restaurants in the area. Each yr we go to OCMD we get lunches and dinners here. We recommend the veggie yakitori udon, rainbow roll, chirashi, tekkadon, and chicken katsu. Good for kids too. read more

Everything tasted amazing. We got shrimp and veggie tempura, gyoza, the eel bowl (and they didn't skimp on the eel!), seafood teriyaki, Maryland fried rice, and two specialty rolls. Everything was so delicious. It was a little more expensive than our usual place back home, but given that it's a vacation spot, you can't be surprised. read more

We were seated outside. No other option was given. That was fine, despite the extremely loud road right in front of the restaurant. The waitstaff were friendly but less than informative with the menu. The food was ok. I enjoyed the miso soup and the fried rice. I came here for dinner right when they opened on a Friday, so my party was the only people there (plus it's off season). The place matches the theme of ocean city, as it's an older-looking, family owned type place. I liked that they had small tables in the front to sit on the floor / a pillow, though I sat at a normal table. My waiter was attentive and brought out everything quickly. I ordered a house salad but hated the ginger dressing. I didn't care for the taste and the dressing was very cold, as if it was in the freezer. Also, I ordered jasmine rice to eat with my sushi and it tasted like the metal pot. The sushi on the other had was delicious and fresh! I got the dynamite roll and lemon roll, both in which I finished! I was happy to see that they accomedated my requests for different fillings as well. I probably won't be back here by choice, but overall my experience was decent! read more

After enough time had passed for us to decide what we wanted to eat we were finally greeted by a waitress who said our table (although completely unmarked) was for a reservation. We said ok. Great sushi place for Ocean City. It was a little bit odd, though, that a lot of their rolls did not have tuna or yellowtail in them. A lot of them had shrimp in them, which is one of my least favorite things for inside of a sushi roll. However, I did have the nigiri yellowtail sushi, and the quality was very high. I will say that they do accept reservations, which is awesome, but even though we had reservations, we still waited a very long time for food, because this place is busy. Absolutely fantastic, right off the bat. Quality ingredients, cooked as if it's the first impression and overall outstanding staff members. We got a ton of sushi and the whole table was beyond words with how great it was. I had the chicken teriyaki, presented and cooked beautifully. It came with steamed vegetables that had an amazing natural taste due to an awesome temperature and freshness. I only ever eat at one Asian cuisine where I'm from but if I was from Maryland, I would instantly become a regular to here. The price was beyond fair for the quality and the way it was plated was as close to 5 star as I've ever had in an Asian cuisine. read more

The only sushi place I found near my hotel I thought there will be a lot of sushi restaurants but it was quite a shock! It's too bad they don't have oyster shooter but they sashimi is pretty good. :) I highly recommend getting the sashimi or sushi with less rice because there were too much rice for me Tempura, edamame, sashimi all perfect but the rolls.... I don't know... compare to the sashimi it wasn't as good so i recommend getting the sashimi first and then venture off to rolls if you want... I didn't recommend it lol read more

My family and I frequent OC wasabi. I've only recently ventured out and decided to try something other than the sushi and fried rice (which is delicious). The chicken teriyaki that I was served tonight was unbelievably disappointing. Thanks for the flavorless boiled(?) chicken breast with...I guess teriyaki sauce poured over it? These lucky duckies live right up the street at 39th, and we're so glad we can walk here! The only reason I'm not giving O. C Wasabi 5 stars is because when we were waiting for our table on July 5th (over an hour, although we were told 20-30 minutes) the bartender at the back bar was extremely rude to us. To be fair, O. C is crazy town on July 4th weekend, but if you can't be nice just don't work for the public, dude. The food is fresh and delicious, drinks are great, and table service is brisk and friendly. We love having O. C. W in our neighbourhood! read more

Went to the 2019 season closing party! Had the Chirashi and Sushi Deluxe. Another food picture from a prior trip thrown in for good measure. Forgot to take a pic of the awesome ice cream and fried cake something or other, which was a meal in itself! If you sit on the bar side, can typically avoid a wait if folks waiting on the dining room side :). Love the staff. Enjoy! read more

We came in at dinner time without a reservation and we were seated immediately. This was great since most places were very crowded. However, we felt like we were on a fast track service with everything. I can honestly say I've never had cocktails, appetizers, entree, and paid the bill walking out in 35 minutes. I don't find that relaxing and enjoyable. The price certainly wasn't fast food pricing so the dinner shouldn't have been that pace either. We had gone there in 2019 pre pandemic and had a lovely experience. This was mediocre. read more

Took a few tries on the phone to get through to place an order, however in their defense, it was around dinner time. Absolutely delicious sushi and fair prices. We had the G Money, Kevin Poole, Baked Phatty Jay, chicken fried rice and the Maryland fried rice. Everything, and I mean everything was to die for! Highly recommend! read more

Food is good but they forgot to include the seaweed salad, and spicy Mayo, bit of which I paid for. And when I called they said they won't bring it back, so I could pick it up or get a refund. And then, upon unpacking everything we realized that they didn't even send soy sauce. Sushi with no soy sauce. T they said "sorry". Um, thanks but no thanks. read more

It was a short walk from our Airbnb, so my friend and I decided to get it for takeout for lunch. Everything was great! I loved the Miso Soup, the California Rolls, and Octopus! Really no kids menu!!! The customer service was bad cause the waiter couldn't take our drink order correctly. The sushi was ok and the chicken was over price and the soup they gave wasn't hot. They aren't kid-friendly cause my daughter was acting up and i took her outside and when we came back in people was staring at us and the waitress got too personal with us. When we got the bill for 3 people it was $70 dollars omg I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone!!!!! read more

Great sushi place that screams "local favorite!" If you look at their menu and favorites, it's all named after their local customers! :) this was a very nice touch! Service was good and fast. I ordered the California rolls and they came out really small, I felt like I could've gotten better ones at the grocery store.
