Eek - I would not touch their seafood again. Classic boardwalk food and atmosphere, but just kinda icky. Definitely comes frozen, not cooked fresh. If you avoid seafood, you can play it safer. Ordered the chili dog and was pleasantly surprised, but might've just been because I needed a break from bang bang shrimp every night.

1/26- such a great location to sit outside and bask in the sun, or inside with all their doors opened to enjoy the view. Food was great; tried the boardwalk foot long and the fish tacos! Delish!!! Staff is always pleasant, efficient. Great place to sit and ppl watch. #dog friendly outdoors.

Decided to try this place with my kids and it was a great decision. The server was very nice and the food was great! We got grouper fingers , Flounder Me-Me Po-Boy and Shrimp Po-Boy. All 3 meals were awesome and so was my blue moons!

I was skeptical at first considering some of the reviews but the place was great. Server/bartender was sweet and attentive. I had a Pina Colada and although it wasn't strong it tasted great. For food we had the calamari which were like fried rings, no tentacles. My Philly cheese steak tasted good and my husband loved his grouper sandwich. My child demolished his cheeseburger. Even the fries were well made. For our first meal at Myrtle Beach I was happy!

I can't complain, the food and service was great. My granddaughters wanted to eat outside on such a hot day, it it was nice. The chicken finger basket was good and I enjoyed splitting the cheese steak. Good balanced menu, service was outstanding. Highly recommend! It was nice sitting on the boardwalk in front of the ocean.

Beautiful oceanfront view with a cool breeze.

We always eat here at least once when in Myrtle beach. The food is always fresh and hot, but greasy. The beer is always cold. Overall, if you want a nice view with some bar food and drinks , you can't go wrong with stopping here.

Nice place to eat along myrtle beach. We planned to visit ripleys believe it or not after lunch so we stopped here (only about a 3 minute from ripleys). Ordered some beer battered onion rings for the table, solid and the sauce that came with was also pretty tasty. My family member had the grilled chicken sandwich which they said was just okay. Fried shrimp po boy had fresh shrimp (not pictured) overall, the most surprising thing was that they charge an 18% gratuity and a 3.5% credit card fee to your check at the end! So be prepared for that.

Hated paying to park. But the server and host were awesome. The crab legs were ok about a three on a five scale. Just not flavorful or loaded The tomatoe bisque was flavorful and the fish and chips were great the fish was light and tasty. The slaw was a train wreck. Whoever thought to make it savory instead of sweet missed the mark. The flavors of the slaw clashed with the rest of the plate. The fish was tasty and the chips were seasoned well and plentiful. We could return here and feel ok with it.

There was also live music the evening we were there which was just lovely. Steven, our server shared the evening specials and was very attentive to us throughout our meal. Our table enjoyed delicious margaritas, the Autumn Power salad - fresh spinach, dried cranberries, fresh apple slices, and a refreshing dressing. The crab legs were delicious, two clumps with butter and lemons. We also had the shrimp and fries- 8 large shrimp lightly breaded with shoestring fries. Our land lover enjoyed the Reel burger- a juicy combination of chuck and brisket cooked to order. The bun was toasted and held up well to the burger. Overall the experience was very enjoyable. While the food was good. It was the excellent atmosphere and service that took the experience over the top for us.

Molly was our server, & she was Amazing! I have never seen a server shell out drinks and so much…read morefood so quickly. She was pleasant and patient, considering we had three teenagers at the table with one of them ordering like 5-6 sodas (to my dismay and horror lmao). She joked she should get one of our kids a pitcher. We had the fried chicken, the fried pork chop, chicken dumplings, and the BBQ ribs. Our favorite were the ribs. The sides were a hit. We got the fried okra, the mashed potatoes, the mac and cheese, green beans and fries. For the additional side it is $2.99 a person. Honestly, I felt the sides were so tasty & better than some of the meat dishes. The fried pork chop and the chicken and dumplings were not a hit at our table, but we did devour the fried chicken and get an extra order of ribs. We had no idea that this was a bottomless refill, but I don't know how anyone orders more than one extra entree because the portions are huge and quite filling. We were lucky to get a table close to the window so we could have a nice view. All of the workers were courteous & kind. If you are super hungry & have a larger party, you have to come here at least once, while visiting Broadway at the Beach. They also brought out biscuits to our table while waiting for our food, and those are hefty and warm. Hooray for another good Southern eatery during our visit to Myrtle Beach.

I've eaten at Paula Deen's Lady & Sons restaurant in Savannah, Georgia many times and enjoyed each…read moreand every visit. We stood in long lines during their popular years for hours in the morning, just to get a table reservation for dinner later that evening. Crazy as that sounds, it was always fun because we had such great conversations with people from all over the country while waiting. We also enjoyed meals there during the final days when standing in a morning line was no longer necessary. So I can say without any reservation that we would have never returned if the food we had today was being served back then. Paula Deen's fried chicken once upon a time was EPIC. But IMHO, this current offering in comparison is night and day to the deliciousness once served in Savannah. As a matter of fact, we didn't enjoy any of the meats or sides. Our food experience tasted like an entirely different restaurant recipe and to top it off the chicken was overcooked and dry, something we never experienced at Lady & Sons. After sharing our disappointment with management, our bill was cancelled (except for my cocktail) and we left, likely never to return. What a disappointing end to a fabulous food era, because the food at Lady and Son's was one of our families favorite reasons to vacation near Savannah. It was almost always the first meals of our vacation, but the food we were served on this most recent visit to Myrtle Beach they can keep. On a brighter note, the restaurant interior is beautiful and the location is fantastic. The staff were friendly and our server pretty much brought out the entire menu trying to satisfy us. Each bite of each item was so disappointing that I asked him not to bring anything else, but he insisted on finding something, anything redeeming. Unfortunately, nothing he brought out was to our liking, but we did appreciate the effort. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] If you've never been to Lady and Son's, then the food here at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen might be acceptable. But I will forever miss what it used to taste like and the excitement my family had when I announced we would be eating at Lady & Sons! Management said they use the same recipes, but my taste buds heavily disagree.

They always want to sit in the Raccoon Cove bar out back, which has a great fireplace for cold nights and a food stand that brings the local raccoons by for dinner. You can also watch them from the sunroom-style dining room if you'd rather stay inside. The indoor decor is fun too (Ace Ventura would call it a lovely room of death) with all the animal trophies on the walls. The pork ribeye over sweet potato mash isn't going to win any beauty contests, but don't judge that book by its cover because it was very tender and delicious. It's definitely a new favorite! The Steak Au Poivre is another one with a sauce that elevated an already well-cooked (but not well-done!) steak. My wife's Seafood Alfredo was wonderful, including the bites she let me steal, and the Lowcountry chowder was excellent. Her other favorites are the Filet Neptune and the Mahi-Mahi. The Thai BBQ ribs are also a big hit with the family, but somehow I still haven't gotten to try one. Next time. This is the "good" Joe's. They don't serve hamburgers here, but they do know how to cook a steak. The food is excellent, the service has always been good, and they've nailed the local upscale-casual restaurant and bar vibe. The only real downside is the tiny parking lot. You can park at the ice cream place too (overflow lot), but Joe really needs to make friends with the beachwear megastore next door because their back lot always seems to have plenty of empty spaces!
