My sister introduced me to this place after seeing a video on tiktok and omg their kimbap is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! They got many varieties like beef, tuna, spam and more! I got their spam one and let me tell you they know what they're doing. The kimbaps are perfectly and beautifully made. The spam one contains egg, fish cake, spinach, pickled radish, imitation crab, spam, and interestingly green bell peppers or jalapeños which I LOVED because it added a slight crunchy texture. All of the ingredients go so well together and it's like an explosion of flavors in my mouth, yummers!!! Aside from kimbap, they have a biiiig selection of side dishes! I was so excited I wanted to get one of everything. But I have self control and an empty wallet so I only got their kimchi. I didn't like it too much though, it seemed like it lacked the ingredients that make kimchi great, it's supposed to taste sour, spicy and umami. However, it was just spicy and plain imo. They also have soups, mochis, tteokbokki, and dumplings available. I come here for the Kimbap, it's fresh and tastes better than the ones sold at the market. The banchan I've tried was just ok and overpriced, I think Hmart tastes better and also cheaper. The girl who works the cashier always comes off unpleasant every time I've been there. Oh so much YES to this place! This is gem of Korean restaurants, well technically deli style or market style. We swung by after a day at Disneyland (it's only about 15 minutes from the park) and instantly greeted by a younger girl and older Korean Auntie, both were super sweet and friendly! They have a HUGE selection of foods all packed and ready to go - soups, salads, frozen mandu and donkatsu, kimbap, tteokbokki, pickles, salads, and more. We almost got overwhelmed by the selection! We asked about a few items and the young girl was more than happy to help us out. We ultimately decided on a vegan roll, bulgogi roll, tteokbokki, and mungean pancakes which came to $32 even. For the amount of food - and later we found out the quality and flavors - this was more than reasonable! The bulgogi kimbap was amazing. Fresh, crunchy, and pickled veggies rolled with great rice, fresh seaweed, and tender bulgogi that is sweet and savory. A bit dry but flavorful nonetheless. The vegan roll wasn't my personal favorite but my parents loved it, again full of fresh veggies and crunchy pickles. The mungbean was a favorite among all of us, it's kinda hard to describe the flavor but it's truly incredible. You get three in the package and they're hearty, crispy, fluffy, and full of veggies. Lastly the tteokbokki, it's made slightly different here since they had a hardboiled egg and more fish flavor. At first I couldn't quite figure out what it was since I wasn't used to it but it can be a bit fishy for some so fair warning! It's also not too spicy, it gives you a good kick at first but slowly mellows out. It's thick, rich and creamy! The rice cakes are so chewy and soft they have the perfect texture. The rice cakes are also soft and spongey while the egg is the perfect pairing to the sauce. This place is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to come back for more! read more

Wished there were more kimbap selections by the time I came, but since I just came about an hour early before they closed, they didn't have too much and stopped making more... Although, they have huge selection of other Korean goods that looked really fresh! Especially more fresh-looking than the ones i've seen at the market. For my visit, I chose the spam kimbap and got a cup of sikhye to go. In my opinion, the kimbap here was pretty fresh, you can tell each roll was made with care, but taste-wise, it was just okay. The sikhye, I wasn't really a big fan of. It had this ginger after taste for some reason, so I thought it was just okay. For these two items, it came out to be $9.50. For a small meal, it's pretty pricey, but the staff here was really nice and helpful, which I felt like its understandable why they would charge more for a small business and how clean and careful they are with their food and packaging. read more

Found this along my school to work route, thinking it was like a lil cafe but, no it was actually like a Korean pick up and go kitchen, with a lot of Korean dishes you can get. There were drinks, meal ready foods, soups, desserts and pastries. I got Korean chicken, regular and soy garlic, they were both but the soy garlic was delicious, and for how much you get and the price it's def worth it. Also got a side of tteboki (could be spelled wrong) but was def a good meal. Chicken was made to order and super crispy, yet light. California Rolls had a nice proportion of avocado,"crab" meat, and rice. I knew the place was legit when there were three or four eemos (aunties) eating lunch behind the counter. Yes, H-Mart has cheaper gimbop, but the gimbop here is made on site, fresh, and with love. My guess is the H-Mart's are made in some factory. The banchan (side dishes) looked amazing as well - will get some next time. Great service by the owners and cute set up. Tuna kimbob was meh. This is hard to mess up btw... Spicy marinated raw crabs were too salty and sweet but the crabs were meaty! Mungbean and seafood pancakes were good but the imitation crab pancakes were too fishy and had bad taste. Fish pancakes were too mushy. Ended up throwing them away. read more

But for the price its kinda steep. There's another place called heartfulmade does kimbaps a lot better. So why the 2 stars this place is supposed to.be about their banchans (side dishes) and that's what my family had gotten and man was that a huge mistake. We got a few sides and a radish soup. Some were completely BLAND and the others were overly sweet like candy sweet. This is where the 1 star should go. The reason for the extra star is because the kimbap wasn't bad and I didn't try their foods like their fried chicken or dukkbokki that people are raving about so who knows. Will I go back? The place is very small but super clean with so many side dishes..I bought about $90 worth of banchan. I was pretty disappointed because only two items was good for us. The bean sprouts and cucumber. Our kimchi radish was not sour it was bitter. The slice radish was not fermented and bitter also. The lotus root was good. The burdock root was decent taste exactly like the lotus root, sweet. The soy marinate crab was ok. It wasn't bad but it neither great. That made me think maybe that's why it was price at $20 for the crab. Overall my experience there was great, services were good and place was clean. My experience with the banchan was disappointing! I probably won't be going there again only because I have a place that has really good banchan. I came here because of all the hype!!! read more

Ah, this spot has some sweet sad feelings. Before it became Oh Mama Kitchen , it used to be a locally known, personal favorite sandwich spot called Kwik Pick. I'm sad it's gone, but I'm also excited to see this new restaurant pop up. Oh Mamas Kitchen is a modest sized shop that offers a wide range of quick Korean eats. The menu includes a variety of kimbap , tteokbokki (rice cake in a sweet, spicy sauce), Korean fried chicken, porridge, and bento meals. The store also has a refrigerated section towards the front with a multitude of ready-to-eat banchan (side dishes). If you're on the go, they have stands displaying some ready-to-go items near the register. As a whole, I think their pricing is just fair. There are some items that are a tad overpriced (like some of the banchan) while some seem more rightly priced (like the spam and fish cake kimbap). What I really enjoy about them is the trouble-free web ordering and the quick turn around. There's another local kimbap place I used to frequent, but I seriously hate how much of a pain they are (You have to call in and hope they pick up the phone and can prepare your order in a timely manner. Also, they always seem to not have enough items available because they don't have enough staff to keep up). This place has none of those issues so far. Food: (4/5) The kimbap are pretty good. There's nothing really special about their taste, but I do appreciate the quality of the ingredients used and the generous filling-to-rice ratio (I hate places that intentionally inflate the rice portion). Tuna Kimbap (3.5/5) - $9 - The tuna kimbap is my choice pick so far. The creamy, fishy flavor of the tuna works well with the pickled radish and fresh veggies. Spam and fish cake kimbap (3/5) - $7 - The saltiness of the spam pairs nicely with the sweet fish cake, tangy pickled radish, egg omlette, and greens. Bulgogi kimbap (2/5) - $10 - This kimbap is a bit pricier than the others, and it's not worth it in my opinion. I couldn't really taste much of the bulgogi, which was disappointing. The marinated, sweet, soy flavor needs to come through more. Garlic soy sauce chicken (4/5) - 12 pieces for $19 - This is one of their more fantastic items. All ingredients were fresh and I could just tell the food was made with love and care. It tasted just like your aunt or mom would make it. The beef and crab cakes were especially my two favorites- they're a hefty size and full of flavor! Also the California rolls were really big and full of stuffing! Cute mom and pop shop but nothing to rave about, got the bulgogi gimbap that was just sitting on the shelf for $10, as I was waiting I noticed two Korean women ahead of me in line and the owner/cashier had been very nice to them, but when it came to my turn to pay she gave the dirtiest look as if she didn't want to be bothered, I asked her about other gimbaps they had because it was my first time there and she was very rude about it. They care about what they present and how they serve you as a customer. They didn't acknowledge me but I didn't mind at first so I just looked around. Then this older lady comes in, they said "Hello" to her in Korean (I recognized from shows but I don't speak Korean & I'm not Korean). So I was like, okay they didn't acknowledge me because of language barrier. It's fine. The younger lady was SO nice to that Korean lady and they were talking. THEN when it was my turn to pay, she didn't even say anything to me. She just grabbed my stuff and put it in the bag. I wanted to order wings and all she said was "it will be 10 mins " She sounded very fluent in English so I became a little annoyed to think that she didn't acknowledge me because of language barrier. I said it's fine I can wait. I paid and she didn't say anything else to me. She just walked away. All the other Korean customers that walked in after me, she was soooo nice to and was saying thank you and everything. I don't know what I did to her. I would've walked away but I was really hungry and my bf requested their wings. I spent about $60 for the shitty service and food was mid too.
