Garlic soy wings. Make sure to call in 15-20 min before!

Oh Mama deserves an updated review! Not sure if it's because Super Bowl Sunday is coming up but I've been a little hyper fixated on chicken wings. If someone were to ask me what surprisingly delicious chicken wings would you find at a place that's primarily known for other fantastic side dishes, it would definitely be from Oh Mama. Get their garlic soy wings. You're welcome. I wish I was a better photographer but this photo doesn't do it justice!

Very fresh, very crispy fried chicken wings. A plethora of side dish selections and kimbap options. So many banh chan! Sesame spinach, roe side dish, kim chi, bean sprouts, radish, cucumber, chives, and more. Clean store and nice welcoming staff. No tables to dine like they previous had years ago. It's a stop and pick up shop. So many good quick options and lunch boxes to choose. Will be coming back to chekc out other items!!

Oh Mama Kitchen is a small catering and to-go spot offering a wide variety of Korean soul foods, such as 전, 김밥, 만두, and assorted side dishes perfect for busy people looking for comforting, home-style meals. Tucked into a modest retail space, it happens to be one of my sister's favorite places. They prepare many delicious dishes in ready-to-go boxes, making it easy and convenient to enjoy authentic Korean flavors. It's easy to see why this place is quickly gaining popularity.

    - first timer - ordered the odeng $4, for tteobokki $6 (counter), and spam kimchi $7 (counter) - no tax - odeng - i liked it a lot. it after eating at so many places, i noticed it's more homemade making the soup more enjoyable and delicious. they have about 4 fish cake slices - tteobokki - not too spicy nor sweet. i like the thick sauce and the flavor is really good that makes you want to keep eating. - spam kimchi - really refreshing snack! crunchy and sesame oil is not overpowering i saw some reviews about the cashier employee being rude. although we didn't get that feeling from her, she wasn't customer service nice (like smiling or welcoming) but i think she just was expressing she needed to do her job. would return and try other things!

WE PAID FOR THE DONKATSU AND WE NEVER GOT IT. WHEN WE CALLED THEM THEY ARE LIKE YOU SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE BAG

Horrible customer service. We paid for our food and we never got the Dongaseu. They are like we should have checked the bag before you have left!

I walked in and noticed they do have limited tables. I wouldn't say this is a big group kind of place. Luckily for us, we were a party of 4. I looked at the menu over and over and couldn't really decide what to order. I had the dilemma of trying to feed my kids. So of course something not spicy and some carbs. I ordered the fries and honestly they were a miss. I didn't like that dirty oil flavor on it. I also did the cheese balls expecting some cheese full, but that again was a little mochi like in texture with no cheese pulls and dusted with a sweet cheese powder. It's an acquired taste. Those are some of the ehhh dishes. However the star of the show were the boneless chicken. We did their ddeok bokki mala flavor. Dang, that thing hits! It's very spicy, but in a good strong salty and spicy flavoring. It's also not too runny like other ddeok bokki's I've had in the past. I was thoroughly surprised by that dish. Now back to the boneless chicken, just be extra careful on your first bite. It's oozing with juices and piping hot. I had to open a few ahead of time to peel the meat for my children. They loved it. Now, pro tip, I would order the original again and order a side of the flaming sauce. That was super sweet and spicy. The perfect compliment to the crunchy texture. I also ordered a side of the boned in wings and had the soy spicy flavor. That was really tasty. I would order beer next time bc these flavors were bold and needed a cold beer to cool down the heat. Now, the thing that impressed me the most were the crunch on every single piece of chicken. They are by far one of the most inquire flavors and texture combination I tried. One thing, that made me say, hey I'll come back here again, was their workers. My son accidentally dropped the fork and like a few parents, we would just pick it up and wipe it off and use it again. I know, not everyone will do that. If you have a toddler they can drop that fork like 4 times sometimes. Anyways, the waiter noticed that and quickly brought us a clean new fork. That's some fine dining detail that I have never experienced in a small restaurant before. Kudos for the wait staff on that. One item for improvement is to offer some carb options like rice or noodles. I know it's more bar or finger food, but can't really serve Asian food without rice.

It's a small gesture, but it immediately made us feel welcomed. We decided to go with one of the combo meals, which came with boneless crispy fried chicken, cheese tteokbokki, and fried potstickers. We also added an order of corn cheese because... how could we not? The chicken lived up to the hype. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in a sauce that had me licking my fingers without shame. The cheese tteokbokki was exactly what I was hoping for. Chewy rice cakes swimming in a rich, spicy, cheesy sauce that kept me coming back for another bite. The corn cheese deserves its own paragraph because wow... I understand why Korean restaurants serve this. Sweet corn covered in gooey melted cheese is one of those dishes that sounds simple but somehow disappears before you realize it. The fried potstickers rounded everything out nicely and added another crispy bite to the meal. And because apparently we hadn't eaten enough, we finished with Dippin' Dots for dessert. It was such a fun way to end the meal and brought back a little childhood nostalgia. Overall, the portions were generous, the food came out hot, and the whole spread looked as good as it tasted. This is definitely a place I'll be coming back to whenever the Korean fried chicken craving hits.

My friend had to go ask again before they came and started to clear out a table for my group. I get that my group was slightly larger because there were 7 of us but saying that 2 hours before closing was slightly ridiculous. Ambiance was clean and standard for a Korean fried chicken restaurant. Now onto the food... chicken was good but not the best Korean fried chicken I've had. The fish cake soup was $25 for only three sticks of fish cake which is MUCH too overpriced for what it was. The taste was solid but also basic and felt like something I could make at home... not special. The chicken gizzard had a good texture and flavor which was nice. The tteokbokki wasn't chewy enough so we weren't that big of a fan. The fries were freshly fried and good but it's hard to mess up freshly fried fries. Overall food was solid but not the best.

My bf and I got 12 wings of the original and 12 wings of the soy. We couldn't finish the whole thing, but brought home the other half, threw them in the airfryer the next day and they were still crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I don't know how they do it, but the breading is absolutely perfect! It's not greasy either so this wing has the perfect harmony of crunch and barely any grease. The only downside of this place is that they don't have any wipes, but they do have restrooms. Lol The clam soup was a nice pairing with the wings to wash down the crumbs, as well as the cabbage salad. The cabbage salad had a thousand island mild kind of dressing that was really nice. We ate the whole thing quickly! I've been here a few times and will continue to come back. They have fun kpop music playing on a big tv screen in the back and I love the button on the table to call over a waiter when needed! Clean and fun ambience! Overview: - Wanted to try this place as it has just a few reviews and all were good. I also like to support small businesses but man, this was a complete dud. The people working there seemed to be a family and were very friendly, however once I got home the first thing I noticed after opening the boxes of wings was the size. Smallest wings I've ever seen with very little meat on them. For comparison, I'd say one wingstop drumstick has about 6 times more meat than the ones here. A wingstop flat probably has 4 times more meat than these too. On top of that, they were extremely dry. Unsure if overcooked or old. The flavors were good id say but it was very difficult eating these wings. Ordered 30 and my family only ate half and ended up ordering food from elsewhere.
