i have been coming to ok noodle since their days in newark before the pandemic and i kid you not they had the BEST chili oil noodles back in the day-- spicy, meaty, and "lemony" as my family called it. they've now moved to a plaza in milpitas with a restaurant that has indoor and outdoor seating. now that they've been here for a while, the noodle taste is slowly getting back towards how they tasted back then. the chili noodles are lemony these days too! i tend to get the cold noodles, tomato egg with beef & lamb, beef noodle soup, or the sauerkraut fish and lamb noodle soup. i've also tried the ding ding chow mein, big plate chicken/lamb, and their crispy black fungus appetizer when they used to give it for free as part of to-go's before they moved. they're all usually very yummy, although i tend to stick to one noodle dish depending on my mood. today's cold noodle and tomato beef egg noodle was delicious! i wish i had another bowl to take with me home, and i wish i saved some to eat as leftovers because they're that tasty. the head owner/chef is really nice and he usually is a server nowadays, and he provides great service. he refilled our waters often today even though the restaurant was pretty busy. overall, if you're looking for delicious QQ, chewy, and savory noodles, come to OK noodle! read more

So I think the most notable thing about OK Noodle is definitely the noodle shape/texture!!! I'd never been to their Fremont location before their move, but I'd heard from several people that the noodles here are really great and so I got dinner here with a friend. My friend got the chili oil noodle and I got the beef noodle soup, and I thought it was pretty good, just not to my taste. Again, I love the noodle texture- their noodles are thick and round, almost like udon but round all around and not angled. And the texture! So bouncy, and they really absorb flavor well. The soup was good, but not the most deeply flavored I've ever had, and the meat was generous, but consisted of more connective tissue and cartilage(?) than I'm used to (I prefer beef shank, like in Taiwanese style beef noodle soup). My friend's bowl had the same noodles, so I'm curious to know if all their standard noodle dishes come with this type of noodle. Here you can get hot chili oil noodles that are covered in spiced diced meat. If you dine in they also provide white pepper, black vinegar, and extra hot chili oil to customize your bowl even further. I thoroughly enjoyed the noodles but do wish there was more mala spice overall. OK Noodle is not true to its name at all, it is way more delicious than just "OK". First things first, it primarily features Northwestern style chinese cuisines which is extremely rare since people from that region are mostly nomads. The flavors are unique and the portions are big; this mom and pop shop will give you bang for ,your buck. I got the large plate lamb noodles and i was really surprised because i usually hate anything with tomato sauce. However, the sour of the tomato cuts through the gamey-ness of the lamb and the two blends so well together. As i have mentioned earlier, this is a family business and the restaurant is operated by a family. The service is excellent and the dish came out in like less than 10 minutes. Contrary to the name, OK Noodle is definitely more than just OK - specializing in Xian cuisine, they have all the classics here including hand pulled noodles and my personal favorite: liang pi. Don't sleep on their lamb ribs either - these are perfectly tender and not too gamey! I like how bouncy their liangpi are and they make sure not to drown it in sesame sauce. Another review also mentioned that the owner increased the tip right in front of them. The absolute most delicious chili oil noodles ever - trust me. I was so upset when OK Noodle closed in Fremont, but was ecstatic to find out that they reopened in Milpitas! Although a much further drive from home, OK Noodle's chili oil noodles are absolutely worth it. The noodles are hand pulled (I believe) and are always perfectly cooked, soft, but with a nice chew to it. The chili oil sauce coats the noodles really well and the addition of the pork, which is packed with flavor, and the side of bok choy (for freshness) make this dish a 10/10 in my eyes. In terms of spiciness level, I would put it at a mild. While eating the noodles, there is the slightest bit of kick - nothing that can't be handled.
