A well run hibachi with a modern interior, located inside of a strip mall. Pros: the portions are huge!! I liked the salmon as well as the chicken! The mushroom soup was demolished by my daughter. The ginger salad was delicious. Cons: The fried rice had yum yum sauce (mayonnaise) which was unexpected . Unfortunately my husband cannot eat mayo but had no idea they were going to put it in the rice so he has to skip the rice. Our chef was not too engaging, which i thought was supposed to be half the appeal of hibachi. Nevertheless the kids were mesmerized by the cooking and catching broccoli in their mouths! The portions are massive - a shared order is $9 to split. Would be back and eat leftovers for days!

Ever year we make a annual trip to OKKO. It is always exciting to watch the hibachi chef do his show. This year I had the lobster, shrimp, and scallops hibachi meal. It was delicious and very filling. The rest of the family did five orders of the chicken hibachi meal. Lots of chicken, I received a small portion after they all were served. The lobster, shrimp, and scallops had a delicious sauce added to the cooking process. The mixed vegetables were awesome with the ginger sauce. I had a second helping of the ginger sauce, that went well with the shrimp, scallops and lobster tail. Will do this again. The serve was prompt never having to look for an attendant. OKKO is our annual event for the family.

Visited from Florida for my birthday. Very great ambiance when you enter this establishment. Very clean and great decor and felt like it was fancy. My husband and I were greeted quickly. We always decide to sit at the sushi bar when we go for sushi. Chefs behind the counter were nice. Served was attentive even with the busyness. We had 4 rolls; The Tuna Amazing, The Kamikaze, The Naruto, The Rainbow Roll. Our favorite was the Tuna Amazing. Loved the pepper tuna. Good fish to rice proportions which is something we always compare to with other sushi spots. We would go back!

I'm LOCO for OKKO! The ambience, service and taste/quality of the dishes are outstanding! We had the miso and hot and sour soup to start. If you love Hot and Sour soup, this one is the best one I've ever had as they filled it with fresh vegetables. The sushi pizza appetizer with salmon, Crazy Tuna Roll, and Perfect Naruto Roll were fresh, unique, had texture and balance of flavors. I loved everything!

Overall good vibe here. I enjoyed the ambiance and the service was good. Sushi was good. I ordered wine and my husband order a Moscow mule that was very bitter. Would try again next time in town.

Appetizers were solid and sushi was very delicious. We visited Hilton head for vacation and almost came back here twice it was so good. This sushi place was recommended by our hotel and it exceeded our expectations.

Great spot for when you're done with the bland food every where else on the island. You can get sushi, Chinese, and Thai. The flavor was on point. Sushi wasn't the greatest but maybe that was the mushy tuna. Inside was upscale and perfect for a night out.

Another amazing night of Hibachi at Okko!

Okko has been our go to sushi haunt for years. We go to it at least once a month and have been doing so for years. The wait staff is friendly, the food is great, the hibachi chefs are amazing with our kids, and we even splurge for the private room when we have guests in town. If you are looking for sushi or Hibachi - run, don't walk to Okko. Oh, and have the Cowboy Roll or Tuna Amazing roll.

Food was ok - service was great! We had steak - chicken and shrimp - steak was real fatty and instead of cutting of the fat and discarding they added it to your plate as if a piece of steak - so more fat then steak in my portion - Also they have fried rice not white rice - so if you want white rice just ask and they will give you some. Great service and fun time at table - They have a yum yum sauce at the hibachi -

Filet and lobster - be wary it is warm water lobster and I feel that it is misrepresented by not specifying.

Service was fast and no frills. We opted for an no-hibachi table and it seems that hibachi is the fun side and we had the overflow. Food was good, and even with the options of hibachi, Chinese, sushi, and Thai we all went with hibachi. I had the filet and lobster which was served with clear mushroom soup and salad, then fried rice and stir fried veggies. It was all good but the fried rice has little to no "stuff" that we're accustomed to - no egg, peas, carrots. My big disappointment was that the lobster was warm water and not cold. That's a big difference to me and they are charging the price for cold water. Filet was fine but I probably wouldn't order the lobster again. Since it doesn't mention that anywhere on the menu that I saw, I'm going to conclude this is an intentional misrepresentation.

    Tuna tower! Yum!

Picked up great sushi. Ready on time. Liked the tub of soy sauce versus the little packets. Wonderful ramen and fried rice too.

Hi Everyone, Ya,…read moreknow, maybe you don't feel like bagging your lunch today, or making diner tonight, but you've got to eat! What ever will you do? What type of food do you want to eat, now or later? Questions, questions, those nagging questions. Well we here, in the peanut gallery, may have a solution for you today. If you enjoy eating Sushi (Japanese cuisine, in which raw or cooked fish can be inserted into or be placed a top a rice roll with other ingredients). Now I thought that Sushi was ONLY raw fish (which I know you knew, but I didn't, lol), and Sushmi which I thought was actually only cooked fish inserted in, or a top a rice roll, with other ingredients, such as seaweed, cream cheese, imitation crab (I.e. pressed white fish) etc... But, bust my buttons, Sushmi is actually Hindu female name, not a name for Asian cusine, which means welcoming or pleasant, (which I know you knew, but I didn't, lol), but I digress, along with some other Chinese classics then we can highly recommend you visit AKOMEYA right here in Bluffton, SC. Why? Because my friends, their food entrees are actually very savory and delicious treats. Their ambiance is inviting, neat, and clean. Their Servers are friendly, personable, and helpful. Their prices are affordable, that's right, as in, most of us can actually afford to pay for them. For instance, they offer four lunch (ONLY) Chinese meals that are relatively healthy as prepared with a delicate balanced of ingredients that are tastebuds delight. And yes, Jethro, them there "viddles" will fill your belly and keep you a comin back for more helpins! But for how much? $10.00 per entree. Now that them their is an affordable price for lunch, even for Jethro da Bodeen. Their diner menu offers many delightful and tasty tantalizing entrees as well which we have also have enjoyed multiple times. So if you have a hankerin for some good viddles like our man Jethro, it's time to get on down to AKOMEYA and git sum. BTW, Akomeya is also a specialty rice shop with locations at many major train stations in Tokyo. Although rice is their main focus, they also offer an impressive selection of kitchen goods, condiments, and snacks--making it a must-visit for cooking enthusiasts or anyone in search of thoughtful, Japan-made gifts (which I know you knew, but I didn't ). Enjoy!
