Let's move on to what you are reading this review for: the Donuts! Tried the CREME BRÛLÉE and BUTTER PISTACHIO donuts. The butter pistachio not only looks aesthetically pleasing but tastes good too! (8.5/10). There is an option for filled or not filled for this particular donut. But once I tried the CREME BRÛLÉE donut. I was surprised by the crunch and the filling had the right amount of sweetness which paired perfectly with my iced Americano. You know the scene from Pixar's Ratatouille, were the villainous food critic has a complete change of heart by reminiscing at a point and time where food brought the feelings of pure bliss. You may have a moment of a similar experience after trying the CREME BRÛLÉE donut (9.5/10) Prices vary on each donut between $4-5 which is more on the premium side when compared to a normal donut shop. There have been reports of lines in other reviews. There no lines during my visit but I would imagine that lines would move fast based on their limited selection of donuts. The staff who helped us out were nice and quick. Kudos the staff on staying active by keeping the establishment clean/presentable. Good job guys Overall, Old Ferry Donuts is a hidden gem that everyone needs to try at least once. Finally tried the famous Old Ferry Donut and it was fantastic! Perfect variety of flavors. My favorite were the filled flavors-coconut, tiramisu, and butter pistachio. They sure were filled..WITH LOVE!! Sometimes doughnuts can be too oily but this was not the case here. Not too oily, not overwhelmingly sweet (cough *Krispy Kreme*), it's juuuust right. Goldilocks would be a fan. Great price especially if you consider Old Ferry in the same category as sidecar. Located in a very cool shopping mall. We went at 2 pm and there was no line. I came early on a Saturday morning as it was just opening up and there was already a long line out of the door (always a good sign) but well worth it! The wait wasn't too horrific. The aesthetics was perfect! I couldn't get over the huge donut pictures that were plastered on the windows - love it! The interior was warm and welcoming just like the staff. Everything was clean and pleasing to the eye. There were quite a few choices to pick from - they were all so pretty & after much debate, I ended up getting the butter pistachio (filled), peanut butter and the donut bread cream cheese. If you're a Peanut Butter lover, you must try theirs! It's very bold in flavor and very sweet. One big bite is good enough. 8/10! Butter pistachio (filled) is my favorite so far. Loved all the crunchy pistachio bits on top and it was super soft - like biting into a cloud. 9/10! The donut bread Cream Cheese is my 2nd favorite. The exterior is crunchy and somewhat chewy as well with a sweet, whipped cream inside. 9/10! Overall, I would come back! I would love to try every flavor at least once. Old Ferry Donut isn't your typical donut place. It's kind of like a cake ... in donut form because of the sweetness and creative flavors/toppings. Old Ferry Donut offers a variety of what I call fancy donuts. Their customer service is friendly, love that they offer coffee as well. We ordered a variety of different donuts which were tastey. They do not offer indoor seating but there's a few spots to sit outside. It can be a little tight inside while waiting for your order. Been here 3x since finding the donut spot. Popular flavors do sell out, so come early if you have a flavor you want to try. There's plenty of flavors to choose from. Shoutout to the girl working last night who gave me donut stickers after I asked for them! It was my second time last night trying their donuts, and I enjoyed their earl grey donut. It's one of the smaller-sized donuts. It was a good level of sweetness but definitely would pair well with milk or a hot drink. Food - We ordered Original Glaze, Chocolate Fudge, Milk Cream, and Butter Pistachio. I loved everything. Chocolate Fudge had a deep darkish chocolate flavor and cushiony texture glaze like fudge. This was my favorite. My husband loved Milk Cream. The cream also had a strong milk flavor and it reminded of Japanese Nama cream. Butter Pistachio had a STRONG butter flavor, not much of pistachio flavor. But it was good! Definitely will back to try other flavors. I also liked the price. Reasonable size and price! This store's design and logo is so cute! They somehow makes orange cute so prop to that. The donuts are at a fair price, around $4-5 per donut. Each donut is quite big so it's a good idea to bring a friend or two to share with. The donut has a nice light, fluffy dough. It doesn't feel too heavy after finishing them. None of the donuts I tried were too sweet, perfect for my taste. Tiramisu: 8/10, has a nice cocoa dusting that contrast with the sweet cream filling Butter Pistachio: 7/10, very different than any donuts I've tried before. I wish it had more pistachio flavor Creme Brûlée: 8/10, has a nice crunchy top with a lightly sweet filling, slightly eggy in flavor. I've had it in Korea so it was very exciting to see it opening in OC. They are just so good. Pistachio was my fav. I loved their Americano which tasted very fresh. Coffee makes a big difference when you have a donut. Do not expect the Donut taste. You won't taste the fried part. I felt like I was having a piece of cake when I had the pistachio donut. Its more like half soft bread and half sponge cake with a hint of donut?? I wish I could describe better. I can't wait to go back!!!!!! Nice staff and clean store. Had to stop by this cute donut shop after lunch at the Source! My partner and I went with the tiramisu and cream brulee donuts to try. We both loved the flavor of the tiramisu donut! It was definitely our favorite out of the two. The texture of the cream inside of each was super smooth which we enjoyed. Loved the outer crunch of the cream brulee donut, but we thought it lacked a bit of flavor on the inside. In terms of service, the cashier we had gave us great recommendations and was nice! Glaze was thick & too sweet for our preference Earl Grey: 1/5 cake donut. The donut itself was a little dry, and once again the glaze was too thick and too sweet. Totally worth the hype (and the line). I've never had a Korean donut but much like all other Asian desserts, they're lighter and less sweet then their western counterparts. We ordered: pistachio (with filling), crème brûlée, raspberry, and chocolate. I'd say the stand out was the pistachio although admittedly it didn't really taste like pistachio but it was delicious. The best donuts hands down! They were so fresh tasting, not like they were sitting there for a while. The donut itself is so incredibly airy and fluffy. So, so soft! We bought one of each so we could try them all and they were amazing. The donuts are stuffed with cream filling which was a nice and different touch than regular donuts. At first I didn't want to try it because the picture in the front of the store had peanut butter and raspberry filled donuts advertised. I wouldn't want to try that. However, I wanted to go inside to see what else they had. The cashier recommended cream brûlée (one of my favorite dessert).
