I got a Raspberry and a Tiramisu. Both were fire!! Sooooo good!! Tiramisu - Delectable and soft!!! Love the dark chocolate and coffee outer side paired very well w the white cream on the inside and it was perfectly sweet, good consistency and complimented the coffee & chocolate. Raspberry- Not overly sweet, had the taste of really Raspberry (not artificial), and had a very light texture. Box is very cute, it has little bear ears. I've had the one in Buena Park, and this location is just as good! They really take pride in making each donut taste better than the next! These donuts are more on the dense side, so it depends on what you like, me however, I love all kinds of donuts and these ones were rich and thick. You can't go wrong with any of the donuts. A really great addition to the area! I'm so happy there are more different Korean eateries opening up in the SGV area and so easily more accessible to me. I've seen this store at Buena Park and Korea but have not been able to try it. Luckily, I needed to buy some donuts for a birthday celebration so I ordered it ahead of time for pickup. Super easy online order system and it also helps show what is in stock or not. I've been twice now and these are what I've had so far: BUTTER PISTACHIO - their most popular one and their best one! The cream is so light and I never thought I'd like pistachio so much. 10/10 TIRAMISU - also good. You can taste a hint of coffee flavor and not overly sweet. The cream inside also good. I like coffee so this was good to me. 8/10 RASPBERRY GLAZE - if you want something more tart this is a good one. It was a nice change from the other donuts. I do miss having cream in the middle like the other ones 6/10 COOKIES AND CREAM - generic but actually really good! You would think it's too much but also not too sweet. 7/10 CREME BRÛLÉE - I thought I wouldn't like this one as I've heard differing opinions. It wasn't too sweet for me and I like the caramelized top. I do prefer cream over custard 7/10 MAPLE PECAN - too sweet for me! It does have really good maple pecan flavor but after eating not too sweet ones, this just overpowered everything else. 4/10 PB & J - surprisingly tastes like PB&J. The jelly tastes like the raspberry jelly. Decent but not something I'd get again unless you really love PB&J. I didn't mind the raisins on top either so that might throw people off. 5/10 MILK CREAM BALL - this was also really good! If you like malasadas this tastes like it with a really light cream inside. 9/10 CHOCO CRUNCHY CAKE - it was meh. This is also a bit smaller compared to the rest probably because there is no cream inside. It's fine if you chocolate cake donut. I don't think I'd get it again 4/10 MATCHA BALL - like the cream ball with matcha instead. Really good if you like matcha but I think I prefer the cream ball 7/10 BOSTON CREAM - this was ok. I didn't really custard. The cream filled donuts just taste better because they feel lighter. 5/10 Overall, the cream filled ones are the best and those are the ones you should aim for. Parking in that plaza may be difficult when busy as there are many other restaurants there but I've have been lucky the last few times. First time being there, and I said "Hi" when I walked into the store with no customers around, while the young teenage cashier was busy folding donut boxes. I was being ignored with my greeting. Her face looked like she doesn't want to hold any conservation but she answered "it has filling in there". I assumed she meant the raspberry ball has an unknown flavored filling. At an average price of around $3 a donut, it is a little on the pricier side, but these donuts are amazing and are guaranteed to melt in your mouth. Our favorites are the Tiramisu and Creme Brulee Donuts! Most of their donuts are made to sell-out and usually sell-out before closing, so make sure you come prior to 5 PM if you would like to try a specific donut! The workers are super nice and genuine. When we walked in, I said hello and did not receive a greeting back from the employee Fiona, which made the interaction feel unwelcoming and cold. Shortly after, another customer who was caucasian came in, and Fiona's tone and demeanor noticeably became more welcoming and nice. While Fiona herself is also a minority, as minorities ourselves this experience made us feel very uncomfortable and not welcome. Came 30 minutes before closing so I knew selection wouldn't be too good but the donuts did not disappoint! They had a chocolate cake donut and creme brûlée donut left which perfectly are our favorite donuts. The chocolate cake donut wowed me! Usually cake donuts are a hit or miss on the denseness but these were still so moist and fluffy while being coated with a thick chocolate coating that cracks when bitten but melts in your mouth. Some of the best donuts I've had. I'm not really sure how to categorize this, but I want to call them artisan donuts, or something like that. This isn't the type of donut store that sells your typical maple bar or glazed donut holes. They do a lot of specialty flavors and a lot of them are really good! I've tried a number of them so I'll go through some brief thoughts: Peanut Butter Donut - Love it. It's a smooth buttery PB flavor. I sort of wish there was a crunchy version of this with peanut bits, but this is fine. It's a bit sweeter than you might expect given that it's Peanut Butter but it is fitting given that it's a donut. Tiramisu Donut - Love it. It's filled with a lot of cream on the interior, and they execute the powdered chocolate on the exterior really well. It's both aesthetic and tasty! Creme Brulee Donut - Kinda meh. It's filled with custard but to be honest this is the least special donut I've eaten here. It looks nice but it tastes like a filled donut I can find elsewhere. Donut Bread Cream Cheese - Mid, but less meh than the creme brulee. It's less sweet so I think it's a decent option for those looking for that. Cleaner to handle too as there's no exterior glazing. PB&J Donut - Peanut Butter and Jelly, a perfect match. It's pretty good! Definitely sweeter than the PB due to the Jelly, but I like it! There are raisins on the exterior which might turn some folks away, but it tastes exactly as advertised. It's good! Cookies and Cream Donut - I was ready to be a hater on this one because lets be real, cookies and cream is as generic as you get outside of being regular glaze or a single fruit flavor. However!!! It's actually quite good! It's surprisingly less sweet than I thought it would be, and that lets the cookie/cream flavor shine on it's own. I actually really recommend this one! The shop does eventually run out of flavors over the course of the day- so either reserve them online through their website or come early. I generally see popular flavors sometimes running out as early as like 2pm on a busy weekend. They also sell flavored milk pouches which honestly seems a little weird. I tried the Banana Milk for fun and it was very sweet. Tasty, but very very sweet. A bit off putting considering that a couple of their donuts don't even taste this sweet. Finally, Old Ferry in the 626! I think the funniest thing is that when they had their Grand Opening here, I was in The Source in Buena Park and saw that they didn't have a line there and managed to try their donuts there and Old Ferry has lots of unique, deliciously sweet donuts. My friends and I went here on a Thursday late afternoon/evening and there was no line and I think only one of the donuts was sold out for the day. Love the cute bear mascot and the vintage decor that they have there. The branding is on point and their donut boxes with the iconic orange bear and its ears are WAY too cute.
