Tried the pasta for the first time. Not disappointed. But as always with pasta the chicken pesto was better the second day.

It was Very good. The atmosphere is very inviting. The waitress was Very nice and sweet. My only issue was the tomato sauce on top.. It was way to much tomato sauce for me.. I will definitely have to try the white pizza sometime.. My other half felt like he couldn't taste the sausage at all.. I kind of agree with him. There could have been a little more flavor over all. I'm sadly giving olde town (my absolute favorite pizza place) 3 stars because the past 2 times I have been here I was not pleased with the service. One of the waitresses that has been here for awhile is amazing but the new waitresses are awful. Not very friendly. We waited 10 minutes before we got our drinks! It's 2:00 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. Not busy at all so...why are we waiting 10 minutes for someone to even speak to us! We live near this place and order from them often! Their meatball deep dish pizza is delicious and our "go to." Their other pizzas are good too, and I'm a fan of their award winning strawberry walnut salad. We've eaten at the restaurant a couple times, but mostly just order to go - as other reviewers have said, it seems to be outdated in terms of paint and decor but it never bothered us. It's not JUST like Chicago Pizza but pretty close considering location. Not really anywhere else like it in this area so can't complain. read more

Came here on a spur of the moment decision and today was my first visit. I love the vibe/lighting of the inside of this restaurant. This place has the best deep dish pizza I've had in Brandon so far, hands down. We got a spinach deep dish pizza w/ half pepperoni since my boyfriend is vegetarian and the ingredients tasted so fresh from the cheese, spinach and garlic. All so flavorful. The crust was just the right amount of crisp and the sauce.... wow the sauce. So tomato-ey, just a little bit of chunky and delicious. Our server was so friendly and polite, I wish I could have gotten her name, but she had short red hair. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're thinking about it. You won't regret it. Came here with my legally blind friend after mah-jongg today, wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The centerpiece sculpture on the table was a beautiful surprise; however, what was even more delightful was our waiter who had many face tattoos. He presented us with The Olde Town Pizzeria Eight Soup Challenge which, if completed, earns you a free haircut. While there was not a large array of hairstyles to choose from, I was pretty happy with the result. The atmosphere of the place was great, from the exclusively IKEA furniture, to the swingset in the kitchen, me and Bart were very pleased with our service and experience. I kept driving past this place and finally decided to give it a try. I LOVE pizza more than anything and am still trying to find my go to spot in Riverview. I ordered take out and got the Old Town style thin crust. This has pepperoni, sausage, and bacon crumbles. The verdict is......WOW that was delicious! It had just the right amount of cheese and was loaded with meats. The thin crust was thin but not too thin and cooked perfectly! Next time I will have to try one of the Chicago style pan pizzas because those look delicious too! I think I found my go to pizza place!!!:) read more

After many years of dinning here, sometimes weekly, tonight I was shocked at how I was treated by apparently a manager! I had about a $90 Togo order where I had ordered 2 kids ravioli. When reading it back she said kids ravioli w/Alfredo, cheese ravioli... when I get home I have 1 kids and 1 adult. When I call she argues with me for almost 10 mins that I got what she repeated back. She stated that she didn't say 2 kids and I replied that she did not say 1 kids and 1 reg/adult. So because she ASSUMED I knew what she meant she felt that she was correct??? She also said she wasn't arguing with me even though she kept going back and forth me that she was right!!! Lol. So out of a $90 order she felt that arguing with a long time customer over a few dollars was what was the best thing to do. I guess the best thing I can do at this point is to not go back and leave this review. When there's so many places to eat, customer service is pretty much the only thing that counts! We were immediately seated in a spacious booth by our waitress; she took our drink orders; very knowledgeable about tap and draft beers, and wines. My wife and I split a Very Delicious blue burger regular salad and a medium thin crust meat lovers pizza. Our order arrived quickly and (I cannot stress this enough) absolutely fresh and delicious! This is one of my favorite restaurants because of the great salads and yeast rolls. But my previous experiences were tarnished on Friday night. I ordered Eggplant Parmesan. When it arrived, it looked yummy but as I consumed it, there were only a few small pieces of eggplant...it was crammed with pasta, instead...very disappointing. My fiancee and I came here on 9/15 for a dinner date. The place was clean and packed however, we were able to quickly snag a seat. This is a pizza joint and if you go here for anything else then you are at the wrong place. We ordered mozzarella sticks for our appetizer and they were cooked perfectly. She got the deep dish pizza with pepperoni which was fantastic and I got the italian beef sandwich (which was similar to a cheese steak). I enjoy coming here often. I love everything about this place. It is very clean and the food is always fresh and hot. I have tried most things on the menu and have never been disappointed. I love the strawberry salad and the cheese calzones. The rolls that come with the strawberry salad are so good. Very light and have butter and garlic on top! Amazing! I've been going here for years. Decided to bring a large group last night which is uncommon for us. Busy night so understandably we had a wait. This was at 6:30. Watched a parry of four brag about how they were being seated right away because they "knew someone" or something like that. Then after 1 hour, we were advised about 45 minutes, we were told we were next to be called. I had my elderly aunt and parents with me mind you. I watched the party sitting by us go up to complain and they were seated (party of 8 like us). We were on list before them. When my daughter ( who is a server herself) inquired, the staff went to discuss privately. We left. After comb err for years, I'm so disappointed. I'm pretty critical of delivery pizza especially if I eat it cold after waiting for a meeting to end. I sat in a long meeting today, starving to death by noon! My boss decided to order Olde Town for our lunch break and I am so glad she did. We had a cheese and meat lovers pie. Keep in mind that I am from NY and I take my pizza VERY seriously!! I honestly was ready to bolt and find something else during our lunch break when I heard she ordered local pizza. I was weirded out by how they cut the pizza (tiny pieces) at first, but you know what....it felt more comfortable having several slivers as opposed to big chunks like traditional 8 slice pies. Perfect crust and nice cheese/sauce ratio. Wasn't expecting to like the strawberry salad, but I did!! I looked at the menu and the fact that they had garlic rolls made me happy (although I have yet to taste them). Well done, I will be back to try something new! read more

Horrible experience. My daughter wanted to go here for her birthday so we tech the family there which was 15 people. They did not seem too thrilled even though I called three days prior to inform them. We brought and ice cream cake and they said they would put it in the freezer, ones we were done eating the waitress brought it out and it was completely melted stating she put it in the freezer so either that means that they have an issue with their freezer or she lied. She was on her phone sitting down while I was clearing the table to make room for the cake. Well, the conversation started like this with my partner- "Hey I'll run up to the store and buy all the fixins to make a pizza, hows about that or we can try a local pizza place that we have not tried yet?" RESPONSE- " Though I love our homemade pizza, Let's try a local pizza place" So, we did and well...here goes. We called to order and the young lady on the phone was lovely...we ordered a large THIN crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage and onion and a Caesar Salad. Total- $27.00. Bonus- the joint is about 1/2 mile from our house. So I drive to pick up the pizza, and walked in. No acknowledgment from staff so I wait behind a young woman who is picking up an order, and then I'm next. The young woman brings our pizza out and places the salad in a bag, I pay her and leave. When I get home I discover that indeed the salad is not mine but belongs to another customer named Rob. Rob apparently likes a strawberry walnut salad. Brian=ME, I prefer the Caesar salad that I ordered, but it wasn't to be. We open the pizza to find a round, but square cut pie. The dough was rather thick for a thin crust pizza, and it is chewy, undercooked and not cooked to our liking. So, I call them and the first thing out of the young ladies' mouth when I identify myself is- "You have the wrong salad right?". Why Yes, Yes I do...and our pizza is well...not what we expected- it's very doughy and chewy and I am not sure that it's cooked completely. Her response- "They probably took it out too soon". So, I jump back in the truck with the pizza and Rob's salad, and head back up to the joint. I return the pizza to the manager (though I don't know her name she was sweet and tried to be accommodating with free appetizers and Pepsi products, but I declined.) I stated simply, that I would just like our pizza cooked thin and crispy as we had expected, with a Caesar salad. The younger woman asked- Pepperoni right? To which I responded- "...with sausage and onion" and "would you please have them cut it like a "normal" round pizza would be cut. The Manager reminded her to have them cut the pizza in triangles. Mid way through the wait the young woman came and asked us again if we would like an "appetizer on the house"- to which I declined. I thought to myself- I just want them to get my order right before I go trying any other delicacies from this place. So we waited and waited for our new pizza and out it came, and they gave me the proper salad. I checked to be sure that the salad was the salad and that the pie was crispier. From first appearance it looked like it was possibly crispy a bit on the edges, but still looked doughy. None the less we took it home. So, here is where we actually try the food. The Caesar salad is not tossed in the dressing, it comes on the side. It is very thick and barely pourable. There are an abundance of croutons, some shredded parm and 2 very lonely cherry tomatoes. After a few bites, I put it away- not very palatable. On to the pizza, we open the pizza and low and behold it is cut in squares just like the first one. Communication is obviously an issue at Old Town- remember that we had asked for the ole triangles? Oh well..the pizza was still doughy, and chewy and the ends were not as crispy as they were overcooked. The pizza itself has little to no discernible taste. I had to look closely to see that the "sausage" or as I would like to call them "sprinkles" were very lightly scattered around the pie. The manager had mentioned that the pizza was "Chicago Style"- I have had Chicago style pizza and this ain't it. The sauce is barely noticeable and could as easily come from a can for what it's worth. So, remember the initial conversation about me going to the store and buying the pizza fixins- LESSON LEARNED- that is what I should have done. The pizza from Old Town was not much better than a Digiorno from your grocers freezer. As we waited for the pizza (a part of my life that I will never get back) at least 15 or so folks came in to dine. I can only imagine that none of their tastebuds are functional or, at the very least, they have no idea what awaits. We will not be back, to dine in or otherwise. We'll either make our own or head over to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza! You should too! read more

I was so excited to try this place as I am from Illinois and have not had a good Chicago style pizza in years. I drove an hour and a half to try this place. I ordered an individual deep dish with pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. My fiance ordered a medium deep dish with various meats. I was at first skeptical when I read the menu and it said to allow 25 minutes for cooking. Anyone who has had a good Chicago Style Pizza knows it takes about 45 minutes, but hey, maybe they had some super oven. We got our pizzas and the middle was completely cold. I thought well lets just try it, but the crust was 80 percent raw dough. When our waitress came by we showed her and told her we were not paying for the pizza. She wondered off for a while and another waitress came by and without knowing if we had a complaint or not, tried to take our pizzas away, what if we wanted to go boxes? We stopped her and showed her and asked for a manager. In the meantime our original waitress came by and again tried to take our plates away, which we stopped and said we wanted to show a manger. She said she would get one. This is where it gets good. A young girl came by about 15 minutes later. We explained the doughy pizza and that we have had a lot of Chicago style pizzas throughout the years and it should never have raw dough. She smiled and said that she doesn't know what could have happened because all the pizzas are cooked for the same amount of time. My fiance explained that they didn't cook them long enough because not only 1, but 2 pizzas were full of raw dough. The next excuse was that it could have been because there was a large order of 10 pizzas prior to ours being put in. What that had to do with us is beyond me. So then .... OH AND THEN she begins to basically belittle us saying that its weird that we are the only ones who have ever complained in their fine establishment and that they have a lot of regular customers and a lot of customers from Chicago who love their pizza and have never complained. She offers us nothing, doesn't apologize and frankly doesn't care. If you want raw dough, crappy customer service and a staff that just doesn't care then go right ahead. But I would strongly recommend to just save your money and get some Dominos. read more

Gave me a second drink without asking, which resulted in me paying for it when usually they do that it means it's free refills.
