The bottom layer of our pizza was nothing but raw dough. DISGUSTING!! This place needs to rethink its deep dish making process and not claim the #chicagostyle slogan. Tried for the first time yesterday. We had terrible service. Had to flag the waitress down to get a drink refill and extra napkins. She never checked on how the food was for us. I got the Alfredo pasta wich was awful. Tasted like sauce out of a jar, definitely not home made. read more

Dining at Olde Town Pizzeria was a nice experience. I tried the Garlic Rolls, Strawberry Walnut Salad, and Olde Town Deep Dish Pizza. The Garlic Rolls were freshly made, soft, and buttery. The Strawberry Walnut Salad was fantastic with crispy lettuce, shredded cheese, and a lightly sweet and crunchy walnut strawberry dressing. It wouldn't surprise me if people visited the restaurant specifically for the salad. The Olde Town Deep Dish Pizza was stuffed with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and smoked crumbled bacon. Terrible customers service. My wife, son and I ordered food. My wife and i got our food and was told my sons would be out soon. We finished and his still never came. We asked if it was coming soon and was told soon. They never offered to cover his pizza or give to us ro go. They finally took it off the bill and never offered to give is the pizza for free. We left with my son not eating. The manager was very rude and all she said was "we took it off the bill, what else do you want. If you want to re-order you can wait for it". I was shocked by this. I never complain, but this was shocking. We loved this place and was my sons favorite place prior. We will never good back after this. read more

This place is really good. Fast, fresh and on point. The Chicken Bacon Ranch Salad is the best salad. Only because I dont like fruit in my salads. But those look great as well. The Spinach bread is to die for. Only available on certain days but totally worth it. The pizza is good and hot and makes seeing all those pizza commercials on the T.V. worth it. It's just ok. I ordered a large with double pepperoni to go. Had a friend pick it up and bring home. When I opened the box I was seriously disappointed. For some reason, it was cut into squares and was not double pepperoni. After taking a few bites my friend and I both said "Definitely not worthy of $18 pizza." read more

Absolutely THE BEST PIZZA! We had the stuffed breadsticks for an appetizer and they were delicious! We each got a small deep dish pizza (one supreme and one 5-topping) and they were stuffed to the rim with fresh, delicious veggies and meats. I highly recommend this place to anyone but if you're from Chicago then you'll really love it. Excellent pizza! Arguably the best around this area. I'm talking about the thin crust pizza. I really like the sauce they use. The deep dish is also good but I prefer the thin. If you like Italian beef sandwiches theirs are very good. Also the strawberry salad is very good and we get one every time we order from here. My only gripe is that they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for and this place is good, the portions are also pretty big. read more

Decided to try this place out since it is about the only restaurant that I have not been to in the immediate area from my house. The place inside is like your atypical pizza place including the checkered tablecloths. A lot of families were in here tonight and more piling in when we were coming out. My wife and I attempted to share a couple of entrees along with a small pizza, tried because it was a lot of food for four, much less two. We started with salads, they have a good house salad, but their specialty is a strawberry and walnut salad which had the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and spice. The salad is a great way to start off your meal here. The Chicken Parmesan was tender and not overcooked, and it was the perfect amount of cheese and not too heavy. The Eggplant Parmesan was okay, but the breading was overcooked so I think they need to work on the cooking temp before they perfect it. We also had a pizza which stole the show, perfect, hot and tasty. I would definitely return to this place, while it did not blow me away, it did meet my expectations. I wish they had linguine with clam sauce, but they did not have it, but I got my eggplant parm and was satisfied. The staff was warm, caring and took care of us and the meal was perfectly timed, no receiving the main course when you are still working on your salads, hate it when that happens. read more

We walked in pretty late on a Saturday night, around 9, but were treated with a welcome and encouraged to sit down, even though they were close to closing. That right there is worth 3 stars. I had heard about the famous strawberry and walnut salad, so the order went in for a large salad and 2 other appetizers for sharing. We got an order of the spinach bread (a small loaf of bread with spinach and cheese baked in the middle, smothered in garlic butter) and meatballs. For me the food was a little disappointing. The spinach in the bread had the look and texture of canned spinach, but thankfully NOT the taste. It was OK but I probably wouldn't order it again. The meatballs were just OK as well. There were 3, pretty average sized. One of mine was really, really dry though. They didn't taste homemade. Now the salad! I'm hoping it was just an off night, because it was really too sweet. It was like... a dessert salad, but with greens. It was really good though, I mean, I ate 2 helpings of it! But, I hope the dressing is normally more tart to balance the sweetness from the candied walnuts and strawberries. We could actually taste the grains of sugar in the dressing.... I love this place! Don't leave without trying the strawberry salad. I'm not usually a salad person, but my mouth waters for this one! The pasta dishes are generous portions and very tasty. My husband likes the thin crust pizza and asks them to put red pepper seeds in the sauce when they make it, so he gets a little "zing" out of it. Great food, ample portions, and nice ambiance. If the best part is the salad for a pizzeria there is an issue. The deep dish pizza was ok at best. We ordered a deep dish supreme pizza, but it was severally lacking on the toppings. The pizza was also burnt on the bottom causing it to almost break apart as we took each piece out. As someone who as eaten deep dish in the past I had high expectations. We have been to Olde Town many times. Most recently we ordered deep dish pizza to go. The food was ready when I arrived and was stored well in a warmer. I was greeted many times by servers saying they would be right with me. The person that checked me out was nice and pleasant. We also ordered the stuffed bread sticks. All the food was fabulous! The deep dish is very filling and one slice will be enough. We love this as then we can enjoy pizza left overs. We will eat her again. While picking up my Togo order, I had a clear view of the kitchen and prep areas. A person I assume to be a server brought back plates from a table and cleared the items on a plate into the garbage except a piece of Texas toast. She placed this on another plate and then carried it around the corner to some unknown place. Seeing this was quite worrisome. Why did she save this? Why did she think it was okay? Even IF the person at the table did not touch it which there is no way of knowing, why not throw it away? She threw other food items in the garbage that were clearly eaten off of. My imagination goes wild with where this mysterious bread went. So, I took away a star. Husband thinks I should take away more, however our food is good and this person is only one person. I did not see any other shady things while there. I seriously hope the manager or someone sees this review and shares with the staff that it is not okay to do this. read more

Being from Chicago we try and find all the Chicago style pizza restaurants and we have eaten here at least a dozen times. Smaller style restaurant but nicely decorated and super clean. The staff is very nice and friendly. If you order anything make sure it is the Strawberry Walnut salad like many have mentioned. It is the perfect blend of sweet and acidic flavors at once. The strawberries are fresh, the walnuts are candied, the strawberry vinaigrette is perfectly balanced and the cheese is perfect. We have gotten it with chicken but feel it is better without. The pizza both thin crust and stuffed is amazing. Food is always fresh. We have moved out of the area but will make it a point to come back and snag a pizza and take it back home. This place is much better than your normal pizza joint. I have had it at its best but sometimes the service isn't great. For example on this past visit our waitress was to busy eating her dinner and didn't have the time to take care of us. Food is good, I recommend their strawberry salad, it's always good. The small is big enough for 2. I have also had the corn nuggets and pizza rolls, both are yummy. I don't recommend the the deep dish, it's very gluttonous and hard to eat...the thin crust pizza are delicious especially the BBQ Chicken one is yummy. I have been coming to Olde Town Pizzaria for three years. As a New Yorker, it is so hard for my family to find a great pizza place. This is a great place for pizza, salads, and calzones. My favorite pizzas to order are the eggplant and the spinach alfredo pizza. The small size is very filling, which feeds my sister and I. I can eat a small size depending on how much I've eaten throughout the day. The cheese calzone is my ultimate favorite thing to order as it has so much flavor with the cheese and sauce. The way it's baked, and it's HUGE. I always have to split it or eat the other half the next day! Pro tip: Dip the calzone. A must-try is the Strawberry salad that they offer. It's amazing and should be ordered at least once as a side or as a meal. Trust me; you won't regret eating here with the family or friends. My only issue is depending on the day service can be slow. Sometimes it can get busy, which is not the server's fault. During quiet times the servers can be a bit slow.
