Wasn't going to write a review but I ordered take out and I ordered 2meals 2 soups and 2 drinks I get home and I end up getting someone else order. So I call and the manager was really nice and apologized for the inconvenience offered to get my food remade and a refund! Which I accepted and I was happy with that. This Olive Garden is the best Italian restaurant in Amarillo Texas! Hands down! I travel for work and even been to other countries and What's sad is that in, Amarillo there's no good Italian restaurants, either the food is so much sauce that it's like eating noodle soup! 2/21/25 supper. Ice cold outside but wonderfully warm inside. Sat down. It is a nice quiet atmosphere. Just a gentle murmur of conversation around us. Don't get that often. Good service with a friendly, smiling face. We order. Get our drinks and prepare for a great meal... we open our napkins and the absolute worst spotted silverware we have seen since Covid started. All of a sudden we were discussed. We did get a second set of silverware and it wasn't as bad. But we used our pretty, heavily starched black napkin with water from our drink to wipe down the spots. Armando Lopez this should never be part of a wonderful restaurant. I just don't understand how the staff can spend time making the napkin so perfectly folded with such horrible silverware inside and think it is ok. They are spending time making a great presentation why can't they have a wet clean rag to wipe off the spots . I am sure OG is well managed but this is one crack that deserves attention! read more

Black cloth napkins had bread crumbs on them, not to be overshadowed by the fork and knife having old food on them, disgusting, made us wonder about cleanliness in the kitchen. Looked under the table to see gum stuck there. Salad didn't have enough dressing to cover the bitter lettuce taste. Shrimp scampi was OK, but only has 5 small shrimp. The fettuccine Alfredo was not up to par, I usually crave this, very disappointed... Shame on the "chef". Bread sticks barely warm and not as good as I remember. Quality, quantity & price, not good. Service was great but the food was not so. The bread sticks tasted dry like they were baked a couple days before. We had chicken Alfredo it looked like it had been made the day like noodles had soaked up the Alfredo sauce dry. The chicken was ok but the cook spread Alfredo sauce on time to mask that the noodles were dry. I ordered to go so I could not go back to complain. What happened to you Olive Garden? Used to be so good. First contact was our waitress snapping at my daughter for asking a question on the menu. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with steak. I asked if it was sliced or just a steak on the side. She told me it was sliced. She brings the salad, mixed it up, seemed to think about serving it, and then just walked off. We get our food, and the steak is missing. They said they'd get it coming right up and remake my plate, since it would be cold. Meanwhile, we have to ask for every drink refill. In fact at one point the waitress was going to get a drink refill and instead stood at the register arguing with someone for several minutes, holding my daughter's empty cup, instead of bringing the refill. My food came back, steak not sliced, and tiny. Toughest steak I think I've ever had, couldn't taste anything but salt. The fettuccine was tough and also tasted strange. Pretty sure it took a trip through the microwave. They comped my meal, which is a good thing because I had one bite and wasn't going to pay a dime for it. The water was good. You do not often get a trifecta when dining out. Today, with a Christmas gift cert, we dined at Olive Garden on Western and Frontage road. Our serve, Harmony, was efficient. attentive and bubbly friendly. She almost anticipated our wants before asked. Our food was served well and very, very good. so...went on a gals day out in amarillo tx and i was having a wonderful time until i decided to eat lunch at olive garden. now, there were many things wrong with this experience but let's start with how my serve, sam served me my soup before my drink, breadsticks, and salad?? like okay sam now how am i supposed to wash this soup down? then sam told me that the breadsticks were cooking while the tables around me were getting served their breadsticks that were supposedly in the "oven"... how do you explain that sam? and to top it all of, another server dropped his block of cheese on the floor. i'm not surprised if he still used it after + he left cheese reminence on the floor #yuck and lastly, i jaded for another drink and usually they come with a fancy black straw but apparently i wasn't good enough to get a second black straw so sam just gave me a bendy straw like im five years old (i love bendy straws but that's not the point) read more

Took my mother to lunch. The food was great as well as the service. I don't know if the cook we playing a joke, but my bread resembles a penis. I was so embarrassed I turned the bread around and gave my Mom the normal sized ones. I would usually laugh and make jokes but this is my Mother who was with me. I visited today with two of my friends and we were sat in the bar area right behind the host table, worst seating in the place, due simply to the terrible attitude the hostess' had. The two were very loudly arguing and bickering at each other, which made me and my friends very uncomfortable while trying to enjoy our dinner. When I addressed the situation to a near-by bussboy, he then told the two girls to be quiet, however; they continued to bicker but at a lower volume. Due to being sat so close to the two, we could still hear it. They then continued to argue the remainder of our meal. Being so hateful towards one another, and openly bickering is not a good look for your hostesses. Even had a weird situation where the host stood in her booth and stared directly into my eyes, very weird but arguably pretty funny. read more

I had a wonderful meal and wonderful service when I was here the other night. I went in for the never ending pasta bowl, not because I eat a lot but because the price was right at $9.99. It came with salad. I think it might have come with soup or salad but as soon as I heard salad I said yes. It was such a generous amount I wasn't able to finish it and it was perfectly prepared, nice and crisp with a good dressing and lots of cheese on top. I chose the angel hair alfredo and was only able to finish one bowl. My server was nice enough to offer me a second bowl in a take-home container. I wasn't expecting that. Usually when you do an all-you-can-eat meal there are no leftovers so that was a real treat. She brought two breadsticks and I was only able to finish one. I took the other home. If I had any objection, and it's certainly a small one, it's that she took away the rest of the salad before I could scoop it into my to-go container. She probably figured nobody likes an old salad but I'm the exception to the rule so I would have enjoyed it the next day even if it was wilted. I was going to order a glass of $5 wine. By the time she brought me three samples, each of which was 1/4-1/3 glass of wine, I'd had enough. I offered to pay $5 for the samples since they mostly equaled the glass of wine that I was going to get anyway but was told no, not necessary, those were the samples. Very nice of her. And a nice policy of the restaurant if that's it. I ended up with a wonderful meal for just under $11 before tip and left with the makings of the next day's lunch or dinner. In Amarillo Texas - I ordered a meal to go. The salad and garlic bread sticks were very good. Unfortunately the spaghetti with marinara sauce was not. It appeared as though the pasta had not been sufficiently drained. There was evidence of water in the bowl with the pasta and sauce, which diluted the taste. Not good! read more

Was there about 1 yesterday, had the worst waitress ever, if she was new then shame on the managers for letting her be by herself, first our table and the table next to us tickets got combined somehow, then we didn't get the calamari we ordered, then no chicken on the chicken Alfredo, got our entrees before we even got soup and salad, the waitress told us 3 times she was checking on the calamari, then told us she just had the manager take it off, never asked us if we still wanted it which we did, asked us twice if we were ready for our check we said yes and after 30 minutes we watched her walk in the bathroom, after 10 minutes we finally went and found a manager and asked for our check, it took him 10 minutes to bring it, think he was looking for the waitress, finally brought it, took our money and must of been looking for her again cuz took 10 more minutes before the waitress brought our changed, we got there at 1:00 and was still there at 2:30, food was ok, breadsticks were cold, will probably be awhile before we go back in there and that's sad cuz we love that restaurant.... read more

Arrived to eat dinner. We were taken back to a table right away, I asked if we could have a booth instead of a table the hostess told me she would check. We followed her back up to the hostess desk and she told us it would be about 5 mis. I told her that would be fine. As we sat there 5 mins went by and we were still sitting there when another customer came in, they asked her if she wanted a both or table? She said booth, they took right to a booth. I decided to leave at the time. I do not understand why we were not given that choice nor why we were not given that booth. I am editing my review. The cook here is a liar. I order Angel hair pasta she messed the order up. She was advise to make what was ordered. She was inpatient gave me back the same order that was wrong. She stated we don't have angel hair and stated " so I gave you this " the order that I refused " I request a refund. Found out she was getting off and didn't feel like cooking the pasta. The cook came to the to parking to go area to my truck with my food in her hands no bag no utensils and no mask!!!!!!¡!!! This is the first time my Mom and I have gone out in a while. She's had problems with her back and just had double cataract surgery. She has been VERY ready to get out! Lol We came in today for lunch, we got appetizers; mozzarella sticks, soup, salad. After that I had Shrimp Scampi, she had Asiago Tortellini. Everything tasted great! the food is acceptable,however there is one server in particular whom I despise. She is incredibly passive aggressive and a bottom line bitch. Her service is absolutely abysmal and I genuinely don't believe that she is worthy to walk the earth, much less serve others. While I don't know her name she is an old wrinkly woman, probably 5'4 5'5 with blonde hair, and an absolutely terrible screechy voice. Julian and his partner served our huge table accordingly. Not only they accommodated us within 20 mins, they put us near each other, didn't mess up on our orders, and had great attitudes. I enjoyed Julian so much. He was attentive, sweet, and prompt with every picky thing I asked for. Usually, I sense attitudes when I ask for too much. Definitely will request him next time I visit Amarillo. Thanks again for dealing with our large party. The food came out perfect as well! I did shrimp scampi with zoodles substitution and it was delish. One thing I will say, we asked for marinara for the table but didn't know it would have been $5.49 per bowl. I had a business luncheon today phoned order in @ 11:00 am for a 11:45 pick up. Arrived at 11:44@ finally received my order at 12:07. Needless to say I was late with lunch which my business associates were then late getting getting back to their desk after my presentation!!! Of course the meals were luke warm @ best. So much for the bread sticks! I would not of gone back however this is what what was requested by my clients, so I thought I would speak to the manger around 1:30 pm to let him how disappointed we all were and give him a chance to make things right as these are professionals that were invited to the presentation and could provide potential business for him. When I asked for the manager I was told he was not there I asked for his voice mail and was told he didn't have one then they hung up!!! UNBELIEVABLE really. If I treated my clients like I'd be broke!!! WONT give them a 3rd chance to ruin my reputation.
