    Pork Belly Fries
    John D.

This is a modest restaurant, but the food is so good! There's plenty of parking. The ambiance and customer service is sort of like a fast food restaurant. Nothing outstanding there, but not bad. I ordered the Pork Belly Fries, Bulgogi Taco, Pork Belly Taco, and Fried Chicken Sandwich. I would recommend any of the dishes! My personal favorite was the Bulgogi Taco. The sandwich is pretty massive, so the average person won't likely have room in their stomach for any sides. The fries is enough for 3 people, so make sure you have folks with you to share.

Olligo grill doesn't look like much from the outside but when you go inside you are greeted from the nicest employees ever ! The ambiance overall is super laid back Parking is kind of complicated it's next to a shopping center but next to a residential area as well. So parking might be a little bit complicated. Pricing is super reasonable and they don't skimp out on their portions which is super nice ! Taste is on point overall I'll definitely be back!

First time at Tim's Avenue! They are currently transitioning from olligo grill to Tim's Avenue so don't be surprised if the signs on the building don't match. The workers were very sweet and the food came out quickly. The lady working the cashier had a nice and welcoming smile. The restaurant has a fun retro vibe, the wallpaper and menus are colorful and fun. We absolutely loved the pork belly fries, the pork belly was tender and full of flavor. The cilantro and onions complemented the spicy mayo and pork belly so well. The spicy pork nachos were good but I think the spicy pork was on the sweeter side. We will be trying the nachos with the beef bulgogi next time. The beef bulgogi tacos were my favorite of the 3, and the pork belly taco was delicious with the pickled onions. Definitely recommend visiting!

Came here with a friend for the first time and the service was great. The bulgogi tacos are the only reason I would come back. I would pass on the pork belly, they are way too dry and no sauce is offered. The restaurant itself is a little hole in the wall spot, very chill atmosphere. Thanks for the tasty bite!

Would pass this place a lot since it's nearby and wanted to try it out since they had ramen and other choices to select from. Looked at the menu online and went to get take out. Tried multiple things on their menu and all together the price was reasonable. Got the bulgogi steak which they said was their most popular item and can see why. That was the best thing that we ordered. Also got the sweet and sour chicken which was good and really saucy. On the menu it says it's spicy but it isn't but still very good and would get that again. The salmon rice bowl was good and taste as good as any other place you could go. Only thing is I have to knock on is the ramen. While only $7.99 it looked and tasted like an instant ramen bowl you could get at the store. Was really disappointed since was in the mood for ramen that day. So definitely would steer away from that and don't suggest it at all for ramen. Still would go back because want to try their spicy chicken and pork bulgogi. But doubt it'll be spicy but sure it'll still taste good. They said they make their own sauces which all came out good, should've asked for more. But for the most part their food was alright and while would go back to try again more, not really in a rush to do so.

Sorry to say I myself really did not want to come into this establishment my friend decided to stop in he loves nachos from different cultures and he wanted to give this a try. I did not want to be a sour puss so I decided to go with the "Ramen" because there was a big banner on the roof that said Ramen so I figured that you cant go wrong in something you specialize in right? Well I was very wrong, not sure about him and his sweet meat chips eww, and yes he did finish them, but this man eats anything folks so lets just move on to my Ramen. This screamed Top Ramen that it and that's all yes the four pack in the store for $1.19 as if they made it put a piece of bland boring pork meat with one green onion sliced red radish oh and don't forget the chicken flavored seasoning packet Then "BOOM" $15.00 plus tax. Now if you have never been in jail before or in your childhood this was like an emergency solution to my mom not wanting to cook, trust me you would taste the same exact thing I tasted lol. Nothing special. Oh yes the Ramen did come with a free teriyaki chicken and rice bowl, but it was too sweet for me just like the Nacho's. Sorry this was not for me but check them out for yourself and give them a try. Now I did like the outdoor patio very cute and the bathroom was very clean A+ Just a note: They had another name on the black board Tim's Avenue I guess they are going through a change of ownership or something.

We started with the shishito peppers and takoyaki, and the takoyaki was easily some of the best we've had. It came out piping hot, perfectly crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy inside. Since it was such a hot day, we ordered the Hiyashi Chuka (chilled ramen) and the Oroshi Soba Combo with grated radish and tempura. Both were super refreshing and exactly what we were craving. The Hiyashi Chuka had a great balance of flavors with fresh toppings, and the soba was light, chewy, and paired really well with the crispy tempura. The hot tea was a nice touch, and everyone working there was friendly and welcoming. We also loved how extensive the menu is. There are so many Japanese comfort food options that we'll definitely be back to try more. If you're looking for authentic Japanese food in the area, Gomen is absolutely worth a visit.

My biggest issues with this location is the amount of menus to look at upon arrival. Service is always hit or miss. I can't say I've ever seen the same person taking orders in times I've visited. I do always see the owner or manager sitting at a table but never any interaction with ppl or service. I would say my biggest gripe with this place is when you get your bill to verify your tip amount. The bill gives you suggestions at 18%~22% but they aren't true amounts. I'm good at math and 20% of the bill says say $7 but the real 20% would really say $5.50. I would pay the higher amounts when the service was great but again it's been hit or miss service wise. I will still tip with poor service because ppl still need to live and it's getting harder and harder these days. Again I can say I've never had any complaints about the food itself but I hope the service will eventually get better.

Good service. Food: BEST onigiri iv had! Iv tried the kbbq, mentaiko, honey walnut, and spicy salmon onigiri. My two favorite were the mentaiko and spicy salmon onigiri. The mentaiko (fish eggs) was delicious, it was salty but like the good saltiness (not overly salty if that makes sense haha) and keep in mind that it is a tad spicy but for me I can handle it because I love anything spicy! Now the spicy salmon onigiri was PERFECT. Not too spicy (perfect for those who likes a mild spice) and creamy. My bf ordered spicy salmon as well and honey walnut shrimp. Both he said were delicious and his favorite was the honey walnut shrimp! For the kbbq, it was delicious too! Reminded me of Kbbq! All onigiris came with seasoned furikake and seaweed (there's an option if u want it on the side or remove it). There is also ahi tube poke and 3 sauces to choose from. Grilled Eel, $3.60 prior to tax- My husband and I split this one. I really liked the eel and also the sauce that was used on top of the eel. My husband also really liked this one. Fried Oyster, $3.60 prior to tax- I decided to order this one but it was topped with a spicy mayonnaise that I thought was a little too spicy for me (again, I am not a spicy eater). But the fried oyster itself was good. ---------------------------------- (Total= $10.67 after tax) Wait time for our items was pretty much non existent, since the girl helping us boxed up our items before I even had the chance to finish paying (I always struggle to pay via tap on the first try... This was a great snack for us since we had lunch 3 hours before (I had a light lunch of a tofu salad so the 1.5 onigiri that I had was perfect for me). I like that the onigiri was fresh and the filling. But there is a significant amount of rice and very little of the filling. I usually get my food without sesame and I noticed the other day they accidentally out a little sesame on it and instead of just picking it off and giving it to me the remade the whole order. I was very very impressed by it. The ambiance is nice. It can feel casual but the food you taste is very Delicious and feel high end.

Quick dinner on a Friday after work. The staff is always welcoming and made sure to check in on us…read moreregularly. Our first time here was last. It was happy hour before 5pm. Prices are affordable and sushi was flavorful. Today, we ordered almost the same items but unfortunately there was barely any taste. It did not taste bad more like freshly unfrozen with only some flavor and little sweetness. Spicy edamame - tasted like it was just sate'd in chili oil and salt Yellow tail belly Albacore belly Jumbo Scallop Ankimo Spanish Makeral Red Snapper We really enjoyed this place and wanted to give it another try but if you do try; definitely come before 5pm for their Makeral hour prices. Again, the staff was very nice nice welcoming. It is a place for family and quick get together but the food has been hit n miss.

I was craving some cold soba and saw that Echizen offered Zaru Soba! We waited about 15 minutes or…read moreso for a table for 2. Under their Light Dinner section, they offer a Zarusoba for $12.00 and a Tempura Udon/Soba with Shrimp Tempura for $13.00. However, if you want Zarusoba with Tempura, they charge an extra dollar. The Zarusoba was good, but it would be nice if they gave a bit more sauce for dipping. I also got a Sashimi Salad, which had a lot of sashimi! It had salmon, tuna, and a white fish. Pretty good, but it could have used a little more dressing as well. The Combination Plate with Salmon and Tempura was enjoyable. It comes with a piece of salmon, a variety of tempura (shrimp, broccoli, sweet potato, onion), side salad, miso soup, rice, tempura sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Salmon was cooked well, and I liked all of the tempura! Their Lunch Specials are originally what caught my eye, but it seems like they don't have anything similar for dinner. Instead, everything is a la carte with the exception of a few combination plates. I wish they would do dinner specials similar to their lunch specials! Parking here is pretty difficult. The lot gets packed with several cars circling around hunting for a spot. They're also going some construction right now which doesn't help. There is a large parking lot where the Home Depot is next door, but they specifically have signs posted to say you can't park there.

Been coming here since 2014…read more Started as a broke Cypress College student now working in corporate. Authentic Japanese-owned, mostly Japanese staff, with a couple of long-timers who have clearly found their forever workplace - over a decade and counting. New owner took over when the original retired, a few small changes here and there, but the food and service? Barely touched. That is the highest compliment a ownership transition can get. Check IG for their lunch specials from M-F. I am leaving this review purely out of self-interest. This place cannot close.
