My friends and I just wanted to get together for dinner and one of us was craving pasta. We saw this place was nearby so decided to check it out. Looks like it's family owned and has a cozy welcoming interior atmosphere. We were welcomed in by the elder gentleman. As soon as we were seated, we got waters and menus. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and a glass of the Greek wine. We had the choice of soup or salad with our meal. I chose the salad with a creamy feta dressing. I was in love with the dressing! We got some very yummy bread as well. My chicken was so flavorful! Highly recommended. I loved my noodles too and all it's feta crumbles! I did taste my friends chicken lemon soup and it hits the spot honestly! The baked lasagna came out looking delicious and smelled great! Too many good options to choose from!! I've basically tried to compare all the pizza spots in this little pocket of town and I can't say who is my favorite - they are all so fabulous!! Fridays have turned into pizza nights so yesterday I ordered the florentine pizza. It arrived fresh and piping hot exactly when it said it would. I ordered the Olympic Favorite and it was vastly different than it was before they closed down for what seemed like almost a year. The new pizza was not terrible, but nothing like the old. Looked up yelp and google reviews and so many reviews recommending this place. And they were open until 3am! We ended up driving 45 minutes to get pizza from here. It was so worth it! We hadn't planned to come here, but the Olympia Pizza (in Wallingford) stated that they are open on Sundays, but apparently they are not. Anyway, this is a cute little restaurant and it was mostly empty (maybe because there was a sign on the door that said Closed. I don't think the owners noticed). There is a husband and wife team working here and they were super friendly. There is parking in the alley in the back but I ended up parking at the end of the adjacent street, which wasn't too bad, but next time I'll remember the alley. The food was great and the portions were pretty good. I had the manicotti (which was very good) and my friend had the lasagna. I'm going to try the lasagna next time because it looked amazing. This place is more Greek than Italian but it was warm and cozy and really easy to find. I'm glad we tried this place. I'm going to come here again soon! I love finding new places! read more

I haven't had a bad thing on their menu! However, our "go-to's" are: pizza (of course), lemon chicken w pasta, village salad, greek salad w chicken, spaghetti w meat sauce or meatballs. The pizza is stuffed with lots of cheese, and they don't skimp on toppings, not too doughy, not too thin. It puts all other pizzas to shame. The ingredients and veggies are always fresh. House made Greek salad dressing is the bomb. Complimentary garlic bread is tasty and addicting. I always have a glass of Greek wine with dinner and finish it off with spumoni and/or homemade baklava. Don't confuse this with the "Olympia Pizza" group. This is Olympi'C' Pizza, and is owned by a single Greek family. It has been helpful to know some of the family, because the hook-ups are of such proportions, it would be total food pornography for me to tell you all my dirty little Greek secrets. The garlic bread is refilled with Zeus-like lightning-throwing frequency, which is both wonderful and terrible at the same time. It's not some crazy artisan bread, it's just garlicky goodness when you need it most. Couple it with the feta, tomato, cucumber app for a real taste sensation. Their ovgolemeno is perfectly-homey and comforting. Lemon soup, creamed by slowly adding egg, with rice and chicken. A great substitute for pho when you're feeling icks. So the famous thing here is the pork steak (I'll post a pic later.) It's ridiculously huge, and is simply seasoned with garlic salt and pepper (so they say) and it makes all my food companions squeal when they take a bite. (Me no eat pork, solly.) The soup and the Greek potatoes are part of the price, so get on this deal if you're into the piggly wiggly. I always order their veggie lasagna, which never really cools down. I've actually eaten it two hours after dinner and it was finally edible temp. I'll try something else tonight a little more calorie-friendly, as I've been nomming Christmas cookies as if they were Twinkies, and I'll never get another one FOREVER. Fun fact: They serve Big Red, the soda here. I generally don't care for anything soda-wise except ginger ale, but Big Red is weirdly tasty to me. The first time I had it was in a bingo hall in west Texas. The cigarette smoke hovered like a nuclear blast cloud and I needed something to quench my thirst. I ended up ordering 3 through the night (and won a bingo game! Thanks, Big Red!) Please come here and see Andreas and his charming family. They are the bees knees. So... home-cooked type food for under $8 a dish? Okay by me! The service was a'ight. Paper menu's? Mmmk! The salads were the usual lettuce with dressing and a couple slices of tomato and cucumber on the side. The garlic bread was alright. When our food came... it was still SIZZLING! Nice! The manicotti-type dish (only difference was they also added ground meat) was good, but a way heavier meal than I would have preferred. Not their fault, though. They had some wine (incl. Great ambiance and pizza was awesome. Sat behind a little Greek man with a dog named Lucky. The dog was a working one, but he was so cute to watch sit on the chair next to him and eat his cooked food on his own plate! Wow. I had to personally thank the chef on this one, a tiny old man with a sparkle in his eye, and his wife, presumably, right next to him making pasta. Who would have thought this tiny hole in the wall would have such good food. I am a traditionalist and stick to the classics - fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna, chicken parmigiano, S&M... I choose the FetAlf sans chicken. Now, I used to work at a very high end Italian restaurante in Los Angeles, celebrity chef and all, and it was the second best I've ever had outside of an Italian restaurant in Northern Japan, go figure, but Olympia Pizza comes in at a solid 3rd on my list of world favorites.
