I work next door and smell this goodness all the time. Today I gave in and ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich AND a custom omelet. I got home fries and hash browns and wheat toast. First off, anywhere else for the amount of food I ordered that would cost me almost $40 anywhere else, I paid only $20!! I couldn't believe it! Second, the waitress was a sweetheart and brought the food over to me, fresh and hot AND it only took like 10 minutes max, super impressed! And lastly, the food was AMAZING!!!! Omg it was heaven! Fresh and real sausage and real cheese and the veggies were fresh and full and you can tell nothing was ever frozen. The home fries and hash browns were fresh too, not overdone and not under done. I used to be a regular here and and my pup and I come frequently. I ordered take out because I know they get busy at times. I waited patiently 10-15 min on the patio for the hostess as I always do and no one came out. Eventually I called and the woman "Kim" she said her name was so rude and unprofessional. The first time I called I told her I was outside waiting. No one came so I called back and she basically said we are short staffed. I can't leave my post. You need to come to the door. Again I have a dog and I'm very mindful of taking him inside restaurants. Not everyone feels ok with animals inside restaurants and some have severe allergies. She keeps saying we only have two people working and a lot of take out orders. I told her I have a takeout order. She then repeated that I need to come inside. This is the thing. I get being understaffed but I live in the building, go there frequently and it's sad that the customer service is so awful. Well at least today. The woman was rude and condescending without an apology and shouldn't be working in customer service. What about I'm sorry are under staffed. I'll send someone out as soon as possible. They need more people working in the morning. There was one waitress I saw for maybe 6-8 tables. That's a lot. I understand but I will not be going back. The booths are somewhat torn up, but I guess they're trying to maintain the old school decor. Only my opinion, but I believe they could use a remodel. The food was decent enough. The country fried steak was good overall but the breading seemed a little old. The over easy eggs were good. I wish the hash browns were more crispy; they were under cooked for my taste. The sausage was so good that I had to ask what brand it was (Jones dairy farm). They were sweet, smoky, and tender. Our food came with a large serving of salsa, which was very good, but cold. The strawberry lemonade here is quite sweet and not very tart. I prefer my lemonade more tart. I probably won't be back but feel free to see for yourself. read more

I've only been here to pick up a breakfast burrito for a friend and they said that it was amazing. I've never come here because I was a true fan of the Pot Holder. Decided to give this place a try since it is considerably closer. They have outdoor seating which is also pet friendly. Everything on the menu looked so good and when the dishes came out they did not disappoint. I got the eggs Benedict with hash browns while my boyfriend got the breakfast quesadilla. Great portions and good quality. Their home fries are delicious! There's a parking lot across the ways or you can meter park. We live close by so it was a nice little walk. I give the restaurant a 5 but the service for today was a BIG FAT 0. There was one customer outside and a party of 2 inside currently eating. We sat inside waited about 15 mins before the waitress even acknowledged us. Then when she acknowledged us she said I'll be right back she had no name tag or anything to identify her. She went outside we thought to assist the one gentleman no she went to another table where we see a gentleman walk up and sit down. On top of that these 2 other people were not originally there when we first walked in. So the waitress stayed outside for a total of almost 10 more minutes then as we looked outside at her she walks in and grabs to coffee mugs and says i'll be right with you.. We then wait another 5-7 minutes and then she comes in and asks are you ready to place your order. We let her know that we've been ready to order then express to her how we have been waiting for about 15 mins after walking in then to have to wait an extra 10 more minutes on top of that. Not to mention the person that was in my party it was their 1st time coming to the restaurant. So as we continue to express our concern about waiting she tells us that oh no the party was already there and they just had a member just come and join them. We tell her no because when we walked up their was only 1 gentleman outside the other 2 ppl had to have just shown up. Then when we placed our order she got our potatoes mixed up on both of our plates. We ask for extra plates she brings one big plate. Pictures will be included. Out of all my times being at this restaurant this was by far the worst time. It was not only an embarrassment for me but to my party being that I suggested this place of establishment. I will be doing a yelp review as well as calling the manager in the morning. The waitress had short hair with blonde highlights or streaks. No receipt was given either after we asked for the bill.
