We want to OMOMO on a Saturday afternoon and waited in line for an hour. I was told this would be the best tea I've ever had so I didn't mind waiting. Everyone else waiting in line was nice and patient. The service was quick and efficient once we got into the store. I had the Marcha cortado with cheese foam and it was definitely good, but definitely not worth waiting in line for that long. For me, this place was not worth the hype. read more

Came on a Sunday afternoon and the line was super long. It's always long! Stood in line for 20 mins which moved pretty fast considering we were around the corner zig zag like a Disneyland ride. I got the Omomo Matcha under specials category. I didn't expect it to be creamy and thick like a milk shake. It's good but I wouldn't order it again. I was expecting it to be liquid. I'm also not a boba fan as they tend to get hard. Good ones are hard to find but when it's advertised as house made boba, I had to try. Only the brown sugar boba is house made and I have to say, the texture was soft and chewy. Very tasty. Something must be good about this place if the lines are always long. I'll have to give it another try and get the milk teas to truly rate this place. But if you like the creamy thick drinks then this place is for you such as drinks under Cremomo category which has the cheese/tiramisu. Came here for the 2nd or 3rd time today and I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet! Omomo in Irvine is always a far trek for me, but if I'm in the area it's so worth it! My friends and I came here after a long day at Carlsbad and it hit the spot! We originally wanted to go to Orobae (I like them just marginally better) but they were closed due to short staff? There was a line out the door - not the longest I've ever seen, but still quite a long line. Don't let it deter you though, because it moves really fast! I've tried the Omomo matcha which is really good but pretty heavy and sweet. Today I got the Four Seasons Lime and it was SO refreshing. At 80% sweet with no ice, it was perfect to quench my thirst after a long day walking around in the sun. Service is very very fast and everyone here is pretty friendly. Parking is free in the plaza parking lot. There's one gender neutral restroom but you need a code to get in. There's no indoor seating but there's outdoor seating. You can get points for each drink you purchase. For $5, I think Omomo is still decently priced compared to a lot of other tea shops nowadays. read more

Had the Omomo Matcha with brown sugar boba and we approve, it's pretty good! Though the line was long, it moved fairly quickly. We waited about 30 minutes. No seating inside but there is seating outdoors. Parking lot was crowded with Trader Joe's and Smart & Final in the same plaza. read more

Ordered Camo Thai-80% sweet with less ice. Suggest to keep it 100% or normal sweet. Not my favorite drink but still good. Anything matcha, strawberry, and the avocado smash are my favorite. Great Boba joint. We've visited multiple timers and it's always busy which hopefully is a good sign. Drinks take awhile but that's understandable especially if you have to wait 15+ minutes to order. Staff is always helpful and patient. I like the option to get less sweet and less ice with my order. read more

I had this place once. I didn't like the matcha tornado because it was bitter. I did end up liking Oreo brûlée matcha. I LOVE this drink a lot HANDS DOWN. The matcha tornado has an authentic matcha flavor. The Oreo brûlée matcha is creamy, sweet, and not too bitter. The service is fast & employee is nice and friendly. There's typically a line here, so you should expect some kind of wait, especially in the evening. I ordered the Avocado Smash with no toppings and I was pleasantly surprised. The drink has the perfect sweetness with the right amount of avocado flavor and the strawberry bits at the bottom give some nice texture. I'm a fan of avocados, so I felt like this drink was perfect for me. Many say this is *the* boba shop to stop by when in Irvine and I believe it is worth coming here, as they have quality drinks with a wide selection. This place is great but I honestly don't understand the line. I love the fruit drinks, I enjoy that I can lessen the sweetness. I haven't tried the boba but the drinks are good flavor. I think the shopping plaza it's in is kinda loud. The staff is really kind but I have to say it was crowded. I personally would say I could get boba somewhere I don't need to wait as long. Today 12/26/25 around 3pm, I drove half an hour in the rain here and waited in-line for 30' to get 4 matcha as usual the cashier asked if I wanted bag, I usually don't but I said yes today bc it's raining and I have to drive back 30'. I'm a returning customer for years and I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED at the SERVICE, the girl handed my 4 matcha in the cup holder instead of a bag. I asked if I can have a bag. She rolled her eyes and said this is a bag. REALLY? It's clearly a cup holder not a bag. I'm not a 3 year old that I believed what she said. I didn't want to argue so I just left and I felt very upset. How much is the bag cost? I gave 20% tip which is $6-7 bucks I don't mind paying for the bag. I just can't stand the attitude and the service, it ruined my taste. I don't know if I would drive 30' in the rain or shine to get that kind of service again. I hope this gets to the management and address the problem otherwise you will lose your business. read more

Unfortunately fed into the hype of Omomo when visiting from the Bay... Drink waaayy too much boba for my own good but thats why when I keep hearing people say Omomo is the best boba in SoCal area I had to go. The experience and waiting was downright terrible honestly. We did come in the afternoon on a more hotter afternoon for late September temperatures but the line needing to be outside is a big pain in the ass when theres nothing to help cover you. Mind you, this is why I dislike boba shops that try and put their cashier area almost immediately in front of the door, it creates needless traffic/lines. Nonetheless, drinks came out fast and I was expecting something passable but what I got was pretty... subpar tea(not hating, a bit weak in strength), and boba that was both good and bad. Seems like I might have gotten two different batches of boba as the beginning had me dreading the boba being soggy and unflavorful and the second half of the drink being more chewy and sweet. I can see why the hype is definitely so extremely divided between 'super good' and 'super bad'. Not worth waiting at all for, but would not skip it there was no lines. read more

Maybe it was me & the drink that I got but I didn't understand the crazy lines & hype. I was told the wait is crazy like that from when they open to when they close. I forgot the name of my drink but it was strawberry something tornado. Don't get me wrong, it was good and refreshing but it didn't equal the wait. Service was okay & the interior shop was really nice and cool. I think we waited around 25 mins but the line was even longer once we got our drinks. I found someone's debit card on the floor outside & turned it in to the cashier - so if you lost your card Saturday night, I hope they were able to give it back to you! read more

This place reminds me of a spot called Summerfield in Rowland Heights. The line was insane and I heard its always insane no matter the time. I got the lemon green tea or something like that and it was good but honestly it wasn't something that would make me go OMG i need it again. Which im sure isn't what theyre known for but thats okay. I personally have mixed feelings about Omomo. I used to live next to the other Irvine location, and there was almost always a long time when it first open several years back. This was the 2nd time I've been to this location, and it was sometime in the afternoon on a saturday. There was a huge line outside, and the wait was at LEAST 45 minutes. Which to me, is pretty ridiculous for a boba shop. I dislike it when people overhype a place. Either they need to open more locations, or somehow make their process more efficient to reduce wait times. I feel like the perception of having a long time makes people think it's more worth it than it is. The experience would be much better if somehow the wait time was alleviated. That being said, the few drinks I do get are pretty good. My favorites would be the Omomo Matcha and the Fruit tornadoes. This time I got the mango, which is really good. The only reasons why I give this a 4/5 stars is because the slush drinks are good to me, and the price isn't ridiculous. I don't know the exact pricing, but I've been to more expensive places, so I appreciate that their pricing isn't as bad as other places. I really hope they can open more locations or hire more staff to match the demand and improve the customer experience. Otherwise, I doubt i'll be back often until the hype dies down. read more

Omomo is good it's actually very good and decently priced. Of course given this it's still on the pricy end of drinks but the quality remains consistent. On a scale of One to asian mom sweetness it's pretty sweet. I personally would ask for 50% or 80% sweet If you're an actual mom 50% younger and you still like sweet but not overwhelmingly 80% would work. Overall it's good - from the fruity drinks to the matcha only problem is the location is quite small and everyone flocks to the only location left in the area hence the wait can be quite long and stuffy luckily the plaza is nice so take a stroll and come back. read more

Not as good as the one that used to be by the CVS in Irvine great Park area but it's still delicious. The lungs are long, but the food is good and I think the price is comparable to other places for drinks in the area. I love their green tea, Boba, especially. read more

This was not a traditional boba spot. The drinks were more like smoothies rather than milk tea. I was surprised by how good it was. Most smoothies I've had at other shops are watered down so I wasn't expecting much from this but this one was quite flavorful. The matcha was strong but not overpowering. I loved loved loved having little bits of oreo with every sip. The strawberry did not taste chemically or fake. Unsure if they use real fruits but at least I know it didn't taste artificial. We literally drive all the way to irvine for this boba! ITS DELICIOUS!! Ugh super consistent with their flavor every time. I always get the omomo matcha, the flavor of the matcha is impeccable & compliments the brown sugar boba so well. My sister got the mango tornado with boba!! She says that the mango is always sweet, never sour. The last one is matcha cortado?? WITH caramel pudding. Actually a really good combo! Will definitely come back soon to satisfy our cravings. And yknow what, the line can get pretty long, however it goes be super quick! read more

It took me a very long time to get around to writing this review. Mostly because I've been here so many times, there's no way to summarize all of my experiences here. Omomo is one of my go-to spots for boba and Irvine and probably in my top 3 of favorite OC boba shops. Living up to the hype, their boba quality is fabulous and every drink they offer is full of fresh flavor and the perfect amount of sweet. My all time favorite drink here is unfortunately a seasonal drink- the Itchy Peachy. But otherwise I'd always suggest their Strawberry and Mango Tornado drinks and the classic OMOMO Matcha. I love this place-- definitely a must try!! read more

I guess the other nearby location closed :( this one has a really hectic parking lot so be ready for that and long lines, even on a weekday! Drinks are feel like they're made with high quality ingredients so it's what keeps me coming back. I like the omomo matcha personally I get it without the cream on the cup because it's a bit sweet. Add black and white boba too. Camo thai is also a hit! No place to sit inside mostly just take it to go. No bathroom access. And no napkins unless you ask. No cash either! read more

Located in the Walnut Village shopping mall, this is perhaps the best milk tea shop in Irvine! I highly recommend their Jade Milk tea drink: aloe Vera boba, which tasted like small chunks of melon(as opposed to chewy round boba) creamy flavor, and deep/rich tea. Now let's not get this twisted my favorite location per taste (not wait time) was the omomo on culver before they closed! The drinks were slightly better there! But as it stands this is my favorite boba shop. I also Banana Milk Tea at Loose Leaf in Santa Ana--your welcome but won't be everyone's cup of tea. They handle the lines well here its honestly not as bad as it use to be. Now quality has dropped like 10% but its still the best in OC. Anytime I'm in line, I hear people new to this place debating what to get and I want to interrupt their conversation and help them lol My favorites are mango tornado (non-caffeine) no adjustment to sugar on this one and oreo brule milk tea w 70% sweetness. If its a hot day I like the grapefruit smash as well. I wouldn't adjust ice here as it makes the drink oddly warm in a not good way. read more

Good drinks but not worth the wait! It's still a pretty good boba spot but it's not worth 30 minute to an hour wait! I've been waiting to try this place for a long time and I was finally in Irvine so decided to wait in line. We got the mango tornado and osmanthus oolong. Mango tornado was a little weird especially if you aren't used to that cheese foam consistency since it's more like a slush. You can adjust the sweetness level as well so we got it 50%. I got the osmanthus oolong at 80% sweet and it was good but still a little sweet. I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong drinks because it just didn't knock me off my feet but if the line isn't long, I would try it. Maybe the matcha one since I saw a lot of people ordering that one. read more

there's always a line here, but I think they offer good quality drinks that are honestly worth the wait! the staff here are really nice and it doesn't take long after your order to get ur drinks either. 'oreo brûlée green milk tea': you can taste the quality of the milk tea, especially the matcha flavor which I love! the blended oreos add a nice texture and the brûlée makes it nice and creamy. tbh any of the matcha drinks here are really good! 'camo thai': thai tea flavor is there, but I think it could be stronger. overall tho this drink was good, almost like a creamier thai tea. both drinks are like dessert drinks and more on the sweeter side imo. I always find myself adjusting the the sweetness here to at least 50%, which I recommend doing and it still tastes good! boba here is perfectly soft and chewy. read more

The omomo matcha had a good balance between bitter from the matcha and sweetness. I would say for me the Oreo Brûlée Omomo Matcha was too sweet for me. I have absolutely no idea what the hype was about so I had to try it. Happened to be in the area. Pros: NONE Cons: 1) There is No online ordering option and No ordering kiosk. Everyone has to wait in a line and order at the counter. This is probably why the place seems to be busy. When people see a long line to anywhere, their impulse and curiosity kicks in. Mine did. 2) NO CASH payment accepted. Cash is King!!!! Not everyone owns a debit/credit card. 3) The drinks are NOT TASTY. I bought two drinks to try. Both were bad! 4) No area to sit inside to hang out. It's buy and leave. I don't recommend this place. Save your money and go to Sunright or something. read more

With a reliable and strong supply chain from overseas countries like Japan, China, Taiwan, and Thailand, as well as working with local farms in Southern California, we have built a consistent inventory system to ensure we always have the highest quality produce and ingredients for our products.

Their milk tea has lactose free options such as almond and oat milk. Their cheese foam are made with milk based. They do not have soy milk. Their milk teas you can substitute for any nondairy.

For a party of six, the staff felt somewhat inattentive, leaving several people at our table waiting for long periods to get hot water refills. This unfortunately hindered the amount of tea we were able to enjoy during our visit. The biggest concern, though, was the pastry display at the front. It was covered with tiny gnats, which is both unsanitary and unappetizing. Those pastries are being sold to customers, and that's something that should be addressed immediately. It's an easy fix that would make a huge difference. I genuinely hope they improve the coffee and take care of the pastry display, because the food is excellent and this place has a lot of potential.

This experience just made me prefer takeout more, but I think my tourists wanted air conditioning and there was not enough outdoor seating for our party. Maybe next time I can eat a quantity more befitting of a smaller party.

I went to OMOMO Tea Shoppe last weekend and was honestly blown away! I'd heard from friends that it's the "best milk tea in SoCal," and after finally trying it myself, I totally agree. The shop is located in a plaza and looks clean and modern from the outside. Inside, it feels bright and cozy -- minimalist decor, warm lighting, and even though it's busy, it doesn't feel chaotic. I ordered their signature Matcha Latte and a Peach Green Tea. The matcha was amazing -- rich aroma, not bitter at all, and perfectly balanced with the fresh milk. I chose 50% sweetness and it was just right -- flavorful but not heavy. The peach green tea was also super refreshing -- it tasted like real fruit, not artificial syrup, and you can tell the tea base is good quality. My friend got the Oolong Milk Tea, and I tried a sip -- deep tea flavor, smooth milk finish, just right. One thing I really appreciate about OMOMO is that they use fresh milk instead of creamer. You can actually feel the difference -- it's smooth, clean, and doesn't leave that dry or powdery aftertaste. You can see the staff behind the counter carefully shaking the drinks and measuring everything -- very professional. Even though the line was long, my order came out in about 10 minutes. Price-wise, it's a little higher than your average boba shop ($6-$8 per drink), but totally worth it for the quality. The staff were also friendly and patient when explaining the menu -- no attitude at all. The only small downside is parking -- it can be a bit tough, especially on weekends, so I'd recommend going early or ordering ahead online. This is a solid spot for tea lovers with a cozy, stylish interior and a popular vibe - there's usually a line, but they work fast, and there are a few benches inside to wait comfortably. The atmosphere definitely adds to the experience. Their menu includes a variety of cream-topped teas, milk teas, coffee drinks, smoothies, and fresh teas, with most drinks ranging from $4.50 to $6.95. There's also a nice selection of unique items like tiramisu foam toppings and creative seasonal specials. That said, I do wish they had more variety in their fruit tea options. Right now, the choices are mostly limited to strawberry, lemon, orange, and grapefruit, it'd be great to see more seasonal or tropical fruit flavors in the mix. Another thing to note: this is one of those places where the boba itself isn't sweet. Personally, I found that 50% sweetness in the strawberry boba tea wasn't enough when I wanted something on the lighter but still "classic" sweet side - I'd recommend going with at least 80% sweetness for better balance. Also, the boba pearls are served hot and tend to be a bit bland compared to others I've had elsewhere. The person taking my order was helpful and accommodating, but when I requested an extra cup to split my drink, they provided two paper cups instead of the plastic ones I saw others receive. When I raised this issue, Sophia came out and explained that it wasn't their policy to provide plastic cups. Despite admitting their mistake, she spoke to me disrespectfully and refused to rectify the situation. She even falsely claimed to be the manager. I found the handling of this situation unprofessional and disrespectful. When I asked for further assistance, the staff were uncooperative in providing the manager's name or contact information.
