This review is based on a drive thru experience I had today. If you're going to the drive through be aware there's a piece of paper on the order box saying if you order shrimp, chicken, etc basically half the menu you would need to park and go to the store. Gee that's nice to know once we're in line and there's cars in front and in back. Once you get to the window the lady basically says the same and won't even put your order in and take payment. Isnt it common sense to just take the drive thru order and ask the customer to park outside and go then pick it up? I guess not. Not going to patronize here after that ordeal which I'm sure the staff would love because it equates to less work. read more

I was a little nervous about ordering food from here because of the reviews but this location is the closest to me. I guess I got lucky because my food was incredible! Strayed away from my typical BBQ Chicken/Chicken Katsu orders and decided to take a chance with their Island White Fish. And boy, was I glad. Their fish was breaded and fried to a perfect crisp, much like their chicken katsu. It wasn't oily AT ALL and came out fresh with their standard white rice and macaroni salad. This location is a regular for me. I visit it at least 2 times a month and religiously get Hawaiian BBQ beef. Usually the beef is very tender and enjoyable to eat but this last time was not favorable at all, it was tough and filled with fat and gristle. If I had not pulled away and ate at another location I would have went in and complained. I am giving them 4 stars because this is a first for me. I will return and try them again based on such a good history with them. One other comment I do want to make is do not go here on a lunch break if you are held to strict hour for lunch. The drive thru can take 15-20 minutes to get through. Not sure why but sometimes you might as well bring a snack and a drink because you are going to be sitting there a while. Ordered ahead of time because it was almost closing time and they were happy to help. When I got in the lady was extremely polite (wish I got her name) Got my food within 5mins since I got there rather quickly, but it wasn't a bit deal at all. I got the chicken katsu and two orders of spam musubi. The spam musubi was a bit too ricey but the flavor and marinade for the spam was delicious. The katsu, I asked for all mac no rice and I have to say, when i got home and opened the Togo box, boy was I surprised! It might've been mainly because I came right before closing, but I was given a ton of katsu! I ended up taking it to a friends house to share because there was so much. The customer services here is HORRENDOUS! I asked for extra sauce and he said there was sauce already in the bag. I said i know, i want another one. I ordered like three separate things, for three separate people, I'm not going to dip my stuff into their stuff. Before getting the extra one container of sauce, he mumbles something. They definitely gave us equal portions which is kind of my complaint also because I would've liked more. I'd suggest not going through the drive-through as you'll just end up in the parking lot waiting for them to bring your food out. I was there on a Friday night and was bothered by the manager being out on the floor with his computer set-up and just doing work or watching whatever out there in the dining area. One of the workers took a break with him and discussed her life issues. How about get an office in the back? We recently ordered a Meal and noticed as they were running my credit card that there was a promotion for a free mini meal that we qualified for. We didn't notice the promotion because it was on a screen that rotated. We asked about it the manager came over and said said it's too late. I wasn't going to write a review but since customer service accommodations suck here is my review. I called an order in for #2 and #5. I had my husband pick it on his way home from work. As I was enjoying my food and I got to my 3rd rib I noticed it was undercooked to my expectations. I called the store to let them know. They offered a refund but we would have to take the plate back with the receipt. This is totally unaccommodating since we have a new born and my husband just drove 2 1/2 hours from work. I didn't ask for my food to be under cooked. I'm not sure why they couldn't just refund us over the phone. New review: so my husband got to the store and said they would not refund him because the plate was almost done. I've enjoyed going to this place for many years good food for a good price. Everything is good but I always get the to-go in the restaurant and not do drive thru. There's two types of sauce, Katsu and Teriyaki. I like the Katsu which is the dark brown sauce and the teriyaki is light brown. Since the CODVID19 it's only drive thru now I think, earlier today I ordered in the drive thru lane and ask for extra Katsu sauce clearly they ended giving me, in my opinion the gross one which is teriyaki sauce.
