A super delicious meal with extraordinary service by Raevon. He was so patient and helpful, just top notch. This is simply a gem find of a restaurant with great energy and an excellent staff. Try the Mediterranean Bowl. I was sad when it was gone.

One of the best places to get shrimp and grits! Flavorful and good texture. Location is nice and can accommodate groups (we had 11 in our group). Street parking is available. Kid friendly

Nice little stop for lunch if you're coming or going to Arlington cemetery. The interior is very nice! American fare menu, I opted for a bowl of chili paired with a Caesar salad. Both were good! Service was slow however in a virtually empty restaurant around 2:30 pm. So that was a little disappointing. Nice spot tho, would come again and try some of their in house brews!

Me and my sister came here for dinner. Started off ok with a really nice hostess seating us and taking your appetizer order. We got the nachos that were sweet and spicy with the fresh jalapeños. I really liked them with the chicken added. After that, it was down hill. We never had a server come back for our order so we had to ask someone who our waiter was so they could take our order. I think they were short staffed but there wasn't any communication going on to make sure people were being taken care of. I ordered lemon pepper wings and a side of fries. I don't recommend. Fries came out warm and wings were over cooked with hardly any lemon pepper on them. If you want to get a nice beer, it's probably a good spot to try but otherwise, I personally would pass.

This is a great spot to come into if you are in the Rosslyn area. They have a very decent happy hour and the food has always been consistently great during each of my visits. I am a huge fan of wings and this place does not disappoint. The service is very friendly. Indoor and tented outdoor seating are available which is nice for the hot days. If you are going during the week after work be sure to arrive early as it can get crowded with company happy hours. The ambiance is always great and not too loud for conversations with friends.

such a great spot for brunch & happy hour! they are very close to the metro. i've been twice and both times the staff were incredibly friendly and made a point to connect with us!

It's a solid, middle of the (open) road, experience. Free popcorn, plenty of seating, and decent service. The covered patio is excellent whether you're alone or with friends. I've dined with Open Road three times now and I feel comfortable saying it's solidly OK. The portions are fair, the prices are city prices, and the food is good. It's not knock-your-socks-off fantastic. The service could be a little more prompt (the water will be empty for a while). The experience is similar to that of a chain restaurant and that's why I'm a 3. Highlight from this past trip: bruschetta, bruschetta, bruschetta. Absolutely delicious. We ordered mac & cheese and bruschetta for the table and an assortment of burgers, fries, a poboy, and salad. Again, wouldn't discourage anyone from making a visit. There's something on the menu here for everyone.

Hearty food that is creative and well done! We loved the brussel sprouts as an app and my turkey burger was perfectly cooked. They also served popcorn instead of bread, which was a fun and tasty switch up. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was busy but not loud and very clean. Would recommend!

Good American cuisine. Had the crispy chicken Cobb salad and really enjoyed it. My colleague had the shrimp poboy and it looked really good too. Good lunch spot

I have been here a few times mostly with coworkers for the happy hour for a group meal. Good food and service each time I've visited. It's located right by the Rosslyn Metro station. There's indoor and outdoor seating available and plenty of bar seats if you walk in. It can get busy during happy hour so keep that in mind you are are visiting without a reservation.

Attended with a 25+ group. Friends quoted below who participated. This was a group effort! 4/5 Service was very attentive and managed the large party extremely well. 3/5 Ambiance: generic urban 3/5 Food: Brussel sprouts w blue cheese: good combo of crunch of brussel sprouts and creamy blue cheese. 9/10 4/10 Calamari and peppers: very spicy. Over cooked 6/10 Braised short rib: very tender- but under seasoned. Mashed potatoes and fired onion ring were good. Desserts: over all "To die for" 7/10 Peanut butter pie "silky" "Subtle nuanced flavor" mousse texture. Not heavy 8/10 Bread pudding: surprisingly good. complex flavors. Not too soggy. 9/10 Vodka mojito- amazing. Super fresh. Smooth. Delicious but not too sweet.

Average food. Delicious drinks. Great atmosphere. I had a burger and for some reason all places make them well done (even congratulations) and not medium.other than that food was decent, fries are more a hollow shells and not a full potato fry- if that makes sense? However the drink i had was absolutely delicious, ginger tea and whiskey, it was great. Atmosphere was relaxed and nice, service was great i really can't complain another it. Overall average place not much character. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.

decided to try this place for lunch and was greeted with a unique touch--a welcome starter of popcorn. It was an interesting twist, though the water served wasn't up to the mark. For appetizers, we ordered the chicken bites, which turned out to be a highlight. The chicken was incredibly tender, with a perfectly balanced flavor that made it a delight to eat. For the main course, we went with the blackened salmon with spinach. The salmon was cooked to perfection, seasoned with just the right amount of spice to enhance its flavor. However, the spinach felt slightly underwhelming, as it seemed a bit too blanched for my taste. Overall, it was a good experience with a mix of hits and misses. A little improvement on the basics, like water quality, could elevate the experience further.

Super popular tourist spot (and with good reason!),I def reccomend making a reservation. Luckily for my visit on a Saturday at 1pm, the wait to be seated wasn't too long, only about 10 minutes. I've never had oysters anywhere besides New York so I wanted to try them here and my mom got the fried oyster deviled eggs. Our sever Stephanie was such a delight and probably has the coolest pin collection I've ever seen. Also the restaurant just has a really beautiful atmosphere to sit down and enjoy some really great hospitality. Onto the food! Oysters were smaller than I thought they'd be but SO FLAVORFUL and just the right amount of brine, and slid beautifully from the shell 10/10 The deviled eggs were given a 10/10, presentation was beautiful and the pickled relish was a well rounded addition We then finished up by sharing the cheasapeake eggs Benedict! Which featured their famous crab cake. The HOLLANDAISE?? literally danced in my mouth. The crab meat was so tender and buttery! Only difference I would've loved if the smoked paprika that was on the deviled eggs to also be featured on the Benedict! Over all it was a very lovely and sense awakening experience 9/10

It's moved around a bit over the years and the exact original location is a mystery. The restaurant story is just the start. The food of course is where it's at. Old Ebbitt is famous for it's crab cakes according to the server so you know what direction I went in. They were more like a Maryland crab cake which has a ton of meat. We were at their lunch dining so salads were also ordered and tasted amazing. Finished the mean off with a Key Lime Pie and coffee. Reservations are highly recommended given its popularity. They also asked that all attendees in your party are present so remember that to be seated. Situated near the White House, and directly across the street from The Department of Treasury, it's an ideal spot for a meal before or after site seeing. What's clear about Old Ebbitt Grill is its longstanding appeal. President McKinley was such a fan he reportedly lived there during his Congressional days. Presidents Grant, Johnson, Cleveland, and Roosevelt all stopped in, basically making it a hot spot in Washington. If it's President approved you should go also!

The food is solid, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the service is always perfection. This time I had the Filibuster Smash Burger. OMG so good! A 4 ounce burger patty topped with shaved steak, some sort of sauce that kept it moist and tasty and some veggies to make my doctor happy. The menu said the sauce had jalapeno in it but there is not even a hint of spiciness on this burger. However, it is a total huge mess to eat so I had to eat like a grandpa, cutting the burger with a knife. But I didn't care because I loved this burger! My spouse had the All American Burger and he put the server through his paces asking for every topping to be served on the side. Sounds like a mean thing to do but the server gladly satisfied his wishes. To be honest, my spouse enjoyed the burger immensely and added only the toppings he wanted, in the amounts he wanted and there is nothing wrong with that. We always enjoy coming back to Chef Geoff's West End whenever we're in Washington, DC. We visited…read moreover the 4th of July weekend, and even with the holiday crowds, the experience was just as great as always. We've only been here for brunch, and it has been consistently excellent. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the restaurant is always clean and inviting. One thing that really stands out is their customer service. On our last visit, we arrived just five minutes before they switched from the brunch menu to lunch, and they still let us order brunch without making us feel rushed. That kind of flexibility and kindness really makes a difference. If you're a fan of Bloody Marys, don't skip them here! They make one of the best I've had and it's the perfect complement to brunch. The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, and unlike a few other restaurants we visited during the summer, they actually keep the air conditioning on, which made our meal much more enjoyable on a hot day. One thing to note is that the restrooms are located downstairs in the hotel next door. They were clean and easy to find once we asked. Overall, Chef Geoff's West End never disappoints. Great food, excellent service, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere keep us coming back every time we're in DC. It's definitely one of our favorite brunch spots, and we highly recommend it.
