Wine down Wednesday with Spinach and Artichoke Dip.

This is such a relaxed atmosphere. Sitting outside we can catch up, enjoy great snacks and enjoy watching boats coming and going. The staff kept checking in to make sure all of our needs were met.

Opus Pasta was good, but I liked it better without the asparagus.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and while I was excited to try a new place, I left feeling underwhelmed. I honestly would've preferred to have my leftovers from brunch than the dinner we had here. It was a Monday and they were not busy AT ALL so we knew that our service should be top notch... and it was! However, we stood around at the hostess stand for about 3-4 minutes before we even saw the hostess. She asked if we had reservations - which we did - and sat us immediately after asking if we'd prefer a booth or a table. We opted for a table and while my husband had no issues, I found the chairs to be uncomfortable. It could be because I have short legs, but either way... that's just personal preference and has no effect on the rating of my review. Our server, Miguel, was great! He was helpful and attentive, and he even took a few pictures of us for our anniversary. He had some recommendations and took the time to answer any questions. 5/5 stars for him. The food was kind of the let down here. I'm the kind of person who looks at pictures, reads reviews, looks into places to see where to set my expectations, etc. I'm not a picky eater whatsoever so I knew exactly what I was walking into... or so I thought. They give you bread and oil as an appetizer. Usually this is delicious, but there was some seasoning in it that tasted really weird. Thankfully it was only in one side of the dish so we just avoided that particular spice and ate around it. The artichoke Claremont was nasty. I love artichokes and I was excited to try this. My husband was hesitant from the beginning and I wish we would've gotten something else. The hollandaise was thick and chunky, the artichoke wasn't tender except for the very deep inside of it. The heart was the only part that I somewhat enjoyed. My husband didn't like any of it. Our entrees were good. My husband got a Caesar Salad and Gumbo and I got the Opus Pasta. He was very happy with his food and while mine was good, I ended up eating the asparagus by itself instead of with the pasta because I liked the pasta better with no asparagus. The dessert was good. 5/5 - no notes. Will I come back? Probably not unless someone else wants to go for a birthday or something. I had an enjoyable evening with my husband at Opus, but I did not particularly enjoy the food and I wouldn't put this high on my list of places to go.

Fried shrimp with fries! I had to order it to go because I had a taste for it!

The food! The ambiance and the service! Ohhhhh and the drinks/bartenders are great! My husband and I go here at least 2 x a week! It's one of our favorites! The fried shrimp is great! The Cesar salad is awesome but the shrimp scampi appetizer....delicious!!

    Lobster & Blacken Scallop risotto

First time dining here. To start off the food was amazing. Excellent spinach artichoke dip, cool crisp glass of rose. Entrees were hot, and generous portion. Dessert-Bananas Foster was perfectly cool and warm at the same time. Service was somewhat slow, had to ask for drink refills etc. It was not crowded at all, so that was the only downside. We will definitely go back.

It's a nice ambiance, food has just been so so. The waiters & waitresses need further training. The young lady that we had tonight was nice & pleasant, but knew nothing about the menu. Not her fault, she obviously hasn't had proper training. The soft shell crabs entree was a huge let down. It was a hard deep fried, not a delicate pan fry.

Great to have an additional restaurant on the "South Shore Harbor Resort campus"! We've been coming here for over 20 years and this was a welcomed addition, filling in the gaps to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all while at the resort! Food was delightful, worth every penny, considering the portion size. An extensive wine and drink list, perfect for a variety of pairings- also, quite flavorful. We both ordered the Lobster Risotto entree, with a lobster tail, blackened scallops, lobster risotto, and asparagus, paired with the Cono Sur Chardonnay, which was a win. The lobster and scallops were perfectly cooked, and plenty of lump lobster meat in the accompanying risotto, which was flavorful, with that ridiculously awesome cream sauce! The asparagus was also cooked to perfection! Great service by our waitress and new waiter who supposedly was shadowing her, but did well on his own! As far as the ambiance, more of a fine dining experience, and a bit pricier than the Paradise Reef (breakfast), and the Oasis Poolside bar (lunch & small plates), big as mentioned earlier, nice-sized portions. Will definitely be back, as we visit SSH often!

I HAD to downgrade my "stars" because we were told MULTIPLE times by a manager at the main Opus restaurant AND a bar manager here that THIS location has a "happy hour" menu and drink specials & it is also noted in the hotel rooms. They do not. Never have, apparently. A ploy to get you in? Perhaps. Fortunately, the french dip and wine were delicious.

Nice lowkey restaurant. We had large pretty of about 20 and the service was still outstanding. The cajun pasta tasted great!

OMG! We had one of our favorite 4th of July EVER! We went here for PRIME RIB TUESDAY. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! This was 2 of the Best PRIME Rib we've ever enjoyed.. It was perfect at medium rare. The seasoning was perfect, so it just melted into your tastebuds. AMAZING The potatoes were creamy and delicious.. The servers Kyla and Chaz were the most atinitive server'si believewe'veever had. They were Top Notch! The atmosphere was very nice with beautiful views of the marina... FIVE STARS for Opus Bistro.. We'll definitely be back.. We also need to give our mixologist a shout-out. She was great Made me the BEST LEMON DROP MARTINI, that I have ever tasted

My Wife and I picked Opus Bistro because they said they had great Steaks and my Wife wanted a good steak on her birthday. Everything started great we arrived early and sat at the bar and had a pre dinner Cocktail, a Kettle One dirty Martini and an Espresso Martini they were spot on, moved to our reserved window table and was greeted promptly by Brenden our waiter, the lobster bisque my wife loved it for her starter then main course she ordered the 16 Oz Ribeye and I went with the Halibut stuffed Special, when the waiter brought out the entrees and put them down the Halibut looked awesome but the steak looked almost black and way overcooked, Brendon asked my wife if the Steak was good she said sure it will be Fine, the more she tried to cut into it She realized that it was not medium rare but well done, needless to say she was not happy and kind of done at this point, We had the waiter box is all up and mentioned to Brandon that the steak was overcooked, he asked if we wanted it taken off the bill and wife said no no that will be fine, the waiter came back and dropped the bill off and I certainly thought he would have taken the $56.00 Ribeye off to do the right thing, but no the steak was still on the bill, We usually have great food and service but Saturday Night they were definitely having an off night

We had a party of 9 and I made a reservation in advance…read morebecause Saturday night just seems like a busy night to go eat anywhere... but I'm not sure my reservation was totally necessary. They had our table already prepared which was fantastic, but the restaurant was slow and not very busy. We could've just walked in and, other than having to wait for them to prepare our table, been seated right away. Our waitress, Moriah, was fantastic! She had tables on opposite sides of the restaurant, but since they weren't very busy it didn't seem to be an issue. There were a couple of times when we had to ask for drink refills, but it wasn't horrible. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good, and I appreciate that they have some options that you wouldn't find just anywhere. That's the kind of thing I look for in a restaurant. However there were a few places where they fell short. 1. There was no kids menu. This may not be a big deal for a lot of people. It wasn't a big deal for me since my toddler eats pretty much anything, so we shared. It WAS however a big deal for my 6 year-old niece who does NOT eat anything. They told my sister that they could make some butter noodles or take the harissa off of a pizza and make it a smaller size for her. She opted for the butter noodles which were bland and unseasoned. Then they have no salt or pepper on the tables so she couldn't even season them until she asked for some. It helped, but they still weren't very good. 2. The food is overpriced. It's good food, but the prices were a little steep compared to the quality. My sister and I discussed this later and we both had the same thought. We didn't understand why they weren't busy because they had the potential to be, and it just felt like they maybe were trying TOO hard. I would go back, but this wouldn't be a regular choice for me. I'd be happy to go if someone chose this as an option, and I might even choose to go back for a date night or something. I like the atmosphere of the place as well as how open it felt... I don't love a crowded space. Another thing I loved was the Smoked Caramel Bread Pudding. I'm surprised I liked it so much because I don't typically love added smoke flavor, but this worked! Listen, I LOVE bread pudding. If there's ever bread pudding on the menu, I'm going to get it. This being my birthday dinner dessert was absolutely fine by me. The edges were a little caramelized and it was absolutely delicious and everyone who tried it agreed. Give this place a try, but just know that you may pay a little more than what it's worth. It's still tasty food though! Also... try the bread pudding!

I always say that I don't mind paying extra when the food is as good as the money spent for it. Now, let me tell you that I only purchased a pound of ribs and a quart of Mac and cheese and the M&C was also good. Perry's Steakhouse & Grille has officially become my favorite steakhouse. I never thought I'd say…read morethis because Steak 48 in Beverly Hills had held the #1 spot and has been our go to, but after this meal, Perry's took the crown. Before I even get to the food, I have to mention our server, Anthony. From the moment he greeted us, he was attentive, welcoming, and instantly easy to like. He guided us through the menu and recommended many of the dishes we ordered, and every single recommendation was outstanding. He has such a kind, genuine, and radiant energy that made our dinner even more enjoyable. We ordered the bone-in ribeye with peppercorn sauce, the famous pork chop, bacon-wrapped shrimp, beef carpaccio, pork chop mac & cheese, fried asparagus with crab, and my husband enjoyed a whiskey. We started with the beef carpaccio . When they brought it to the table on a large tray, our first reaction was simply, "Wow!" The presentation was beautiful, but the first bite was even better. It was incredibly fresh, light, and perfectly seasoned, allowing the quality of the beef to truly shine. Next came the famous pork chop, which is carved tableside. We were both shocked (and laughed) when we saw just how massive it was! It was juicy, tender, and paired wonderfully with the applesauce. I wasn't sure what to expect from that combination, but it absolutely worked. The bone-in ribeye was everything a steak should be--perfectly cooked, juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor in every bite. Then I tried it with the peppercorn sauce... absolute perfection. I honestly didn't want the meal to end. The bacon-wrapped shrimp were lightly brushed with barbecue sauce, adding just the right touch of sweetness without overpowering the shrimp. Delicious. I'm usually not a mac & cheese person, but my husband is, so we ordered the pork chop mac & cheese. To my surprise, we both loved it. It was rich, creamy, incredibly flavorful, and the bites of pork throughout made it unforgettable. They gave us the recipe and I will be cooking this at home so our children can experience it. Even the fried asparagus impressed us. It was crispy, topped with crab, and unlike anything we've had before. We left talking about how sad we are that there isn't a Perry's in Los Angeles. This is the kind of restaurant you find yourself craving long after you've left. Honestly, we may need to book another trip to Texas just so we can eat here again. If you're anywhere near a Perry's, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. Between the exceptional food and Anthony's outstanding service, this was one of the best steakhouse experiences we've ever had.
