l had my 50th celebration there on 2-11-23 and it was the worst ever, l was treated as if my group didn't exist also they saw color and treated the situation worse, not acknowledging my guest and showing them the restrooms, driving our cars like a bat out of hell and hitting ppl, but the most disrespectful of all myself, they almost killed me with a salt allergy when my Daughter told the bartender over and over NO SALT and he put SALT in my DRINK and with his smart as mouth he didn't care what he had DONE ...they couldn't even call 911 to HELP ME, 2hrs into my event l'm laying on the ground with a weak pulse, and blood pressure up and also not having a AED on hand ..The District Manger hasn't even picked up the phone to call to see how l'm doing or feeling when l almost lost MY LIFE!!! Now l'm out of $5000 for my event..20,000 hospital bill and $400 medication bills ... they haven't even tried to make it right or offer me something back on all l lost..which could've of been worse Especially MY LIFE LOST....they also held my husband keys when he was trying follow the ambulance when he said are you serious about the $7.00 if this had been someone of none color the entire situation would've been handled differently..why in the hospital l was given 2 bags if IV with Benadryl in it as well as a half bag of steroids and 6 minutes on and off breathing treatments. My face, hands, feet, lips, tongue and glands were swollen up..l've posted pictures of my drink, bruised body when l collapsed onto the ground and hive's on my body... my face is horrible looking.. 1 star is for great view 1 star is for great service I would come back to the bar and have drinks and enjoy the beautiful view. Food was sadly a huge disappointed The menu is not cohesive. Overall the menu offerings are dull. Additionally nothing tasted good. It is unfortunate that a restaurant with so much potential does not spend more time on the menu. The restaurant could also use a face lift, very dated. But with covid I understand lots of restaurants have struggled However, being located in Orange County, California with some of the states best restaurants only 20 min away in Newport and South Coast metro area Orange Hill really needs to step up their game read more

Hands down, the easiest and best team to work with.. where do I even begin?! A few months ago, I began planning my dream bridal shower. I have a huge family so I needed the right place, and of course, who doesn't LOVE orange hill? Of course, we only think about food, but let me tell you, they have a SUPERSTAR team, especially their event coordinator, Cindy. She's prompt, she's kind, but most importantly.. she's so attentive. She ensured my party was perfect from start to finish. Each server we had with our party, was friendly, kind and truly made the day even better. A delayed review but I wanted to add one since I've been craving the buffet! I took my mother here for Mother's Day in 2020 (the same day that we found out Kobe died in the helicopter crash!). The buffet is expensive but I was really surprised by the number of options and quality. Many Sunday type brunches disappoint in their seafood like oysters and crab legs, or steaks and prime rib. However, I thought this spot was excellent and I appreciated that the crab legs weren't drenched with salt like many places do you curb consumption. And of course they have a terrific view. Not too shabby. Prior to dining here, I wasn't sure what to expect since I read a lot of mixed reviews about this restaurant on Yelp. But I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. - VENUE: The venue is a large space located on top of a steep hill. Both indoor and outdoor seating overlooks Orange County. The view is simply breathtaking! If you're dining outdoor, there are outdoor heaters and fire pits to keep guests warm and cozy. - PARKING: There is no self parking. You must valet your car. Please note that the valet accepts card as well as cash. Makes things more convenient. - FOOD: My friend and I ordered crab cakes as an appetizer. They were phenomenal! They were of a decent size, cooked well, and so flavorful! The chipotle and ginger aioli that accompanied it really blew me away. I wish I could've brought some of it home with me. As an entree, I ordered the zinfandel braised short rib. The short rib sat on a pile of truffle whipped mashed potatoes with an onion ring on top. Although the short rib was tender and juicy, if eaten alone, it's bland. However, if you dip it in the truffle whipped mashed potatoes and take a bite of the onion ring with it, it's much better and becomes more of a cohesive dish. It should be noted that the short ribs came with grilled broccolini. Unfortunately, the broccolini was severely undercooked. - PRICING: With any steakhouse, be prepared to pay a pretty penny for your meal. Entree prices (during dinner) range from $22-$140. - CUSTOMER SERVICE: The customer service was spectacular! Our waitress was friendly, polite, and attentive. She would check on our table often and would refill our water glasses without having us to ask first. In short, I'd definitely recommend dining here. Decided to visit this establishment during COVID seeing as it is normally pretty pricey. (Spoiler alert: you pay for the view) They practice standard safety precautions, but i was a little thrown off by some of the staff. Upon arriving to an empty restaurant and patio just 30min after opening, i told the hostess i made reservations not sure if we needed any due to the current state of the world. She snarkily replied "we only take reservations". Cool, but a hello or welcome would be nice. Upon seating we were told to announce to our waiter if we wanted to order from the HH menu - as if we were to receive less service or possibly looked down upon for not ordering an overpriced steak. By the time we left, our server was awesome and super helpful with recommendations. Without her, I probably wouldn't return. Views and vibes! Came here to celebrate our anniversary with my girlfriend. We went at around 530pm hoping to catch the sunset and we're so glad that we did! We sat on the patio outside and it was a bit cold that night, but there were heaters available. We started off with the Beer Mustard Brussel Sprouts which was so flavorful! The roasted cauliflower salad was excellent as well to combo with the Herb Roasted Prime Rib + Lobster tail. My girlfriend got the Miso-Marinated Chilean Sea Bass. The Herb Roasted Prime Rib was excellent, as it sells out every night so you want to go earlier if you want it. In my opinion, lobster tail was alright, but it wasn't anything special. The Sea Bass was also pretty decent, but also not too special. Parking is valet parking only. I think overall, the views, vibes, and ambiance was very nice and top quality. Went there during the summer, please do yourself a favor do not sit outside during the summer during brunch.. trust me on this if you want to enjoy your brunch date. I did that when I first arrived but they were kind enough to let us move into one of the tables inside which was so much better. Other than that I enjoyed the variety of food and my mimosa. I must say the views are amazing and I did step outside for a bit to get some nice pictures, which is really nice you can walk around the patio with your drinks. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 stars, is because I don't understand why a reservation is require we still had to wait an additional 45min to get seated outside. I'm pretty sure most of the reservation are made so we can be seated outside. Overall the place is amazing & beautiful. The food is amazing so worth the price. I've been to this restaurant a couple of years ago when I was younger and when I came here. I was in love with the restaurant because of the view from the restaurant since the restaurant was on a hill-a very tall one-but not too tall like a mountain. The outdoor patio along with the firepits was so warm and welcoming and also aesthetically pleasing to me and I guess to everyone who went to this restaurant. The price here was horrendous. Don't call me a spoiled-brat or rude for saying this, but I'm brutally honest with you. The food was mediocre and don't get me started on the dessert. Don't get me wrong, amazing view and good food. BUT they have *horrible* valet parking system!!!! This is not the first time we came and each time there are different problems. It's okay if you want to forced people to pay for valet parking, I don't mind paying for it. Valet staff are racists and definitely disrespectful. I expect the bare minimum of mutual respect and service if you are forcing people to pay for valet parking. I don't like it when people touch my car. I am not comfortable when other people drive my car. What's wrong with wanting to park my car when the valet staff already directed me to the side? I'm literally right next to a parking spot. They insist that they won't let me park the car myself (probably worried that I won't pay for the valet parking fee), I explained that I don't mind paying for it, and I'm literally right in front of a parking spot, I can easily park the car myself - easy money for not asking them to do anything. I don't understand the attitude and the unnecessary judgements. Not only they gave me the look, they also looked down on me and criticized me , rudely said 'can you back park the car, cause it seems like you can't' - how would they know whether I have the skill to park my own car? When I am literally still in the valet drop off zone. That judgement is uncalled for and disrespectful. I can park the car myself, thank you very much. But don't look at me like a criminal and ask me to pay in advance. I didnt see the staff asking other guests to pay in advance, do you think I can't afford the $9 valet parking?! Ridiculous...Just because I'm uncomfortable to let people touch my car, it doesn't mean that I can't afford the $9. read more

Extremely disappointed with our experience. The first time I came here for dinner was nice with a view, service and food were good. I really was looking forward to brunch here since my boyfriend really hyped it up. We had a reservation on the patio for a post Mother's Day and Birthday Celebration which was mentioned on our reservation that we were there for a special occasion. After being seated we ordered drinks and this is immediately where it went downhill. We ordered 3 bottomless mimosas and a drink for our table of 4. The server came back and somehow spilled an entire mimosa on not just me but all over my boyfriends mom who we were there to celebrate for. Both of us were covered in champagne, including my bag which thankfully wasn't open. Since we were by the fire we were able to dry off and the staff gave us a couple extra towels. We told her it was okay and things happen but were expecting at least some way to make up for the rocky start. Napkins for our table that we used to wipe off were not replenished and neither was the drink that was spilled on us. We had to ask for both. The mimosa that was brought to the table was completely different from the others but we were told it was the same, see the attached photo of 3 Charcoal Lavender mimosas. I understand having an off day but after that we were completely ignored and it wasn't even busy at the restaurant. When we asked for a second mimosa she brought back a different flavor and said they were out of the one we requested, she never came back to see if that was okay. Food was decent but the service really soured our experience. The staff joked loudly about spilling on another guest to her when a drink had been spilled, very unprofessional. I understand being embarrassed but to completely disregard one of your tables for something you did is not okay. For a nice restaurant and spending almost $300 on brunch it was really disappointing that we had such poor service and not even a proper apology. I will not mention the server's name but she does need more training to ensure guests waited on leave happy. Also the women's bathroom is in a considerable amount of disrepair, handicapped stall has no lock and one of the stalls is out of order. Seems to me Orange Hill has gone down hill, we will not be returning. read more

Went for Mother's Day sunset dinner 5-9-21. Dinner was great, service was exceptional! I actually planned on coming back... but not after walking out and finding these amazing scratches down the side of my new car! Didn't find this until the next morning since it was dark when I left. We came here for our friend's wedding. It has incredible view from the hill. We first waited at the Bar and ordered some cocktails. Then we are all gathered at the Outdoor for the Reception and Wine and finger foods. The dinner was indoor at the banquet room. We are all very surprised that the food was delicious. The food was top notch, we had the Tomahawk. That was THE best steak I've ever had in my life, the tenderness, the char, the flavors. Wow! Better than "RC", which was previously in my top spot. Note: it is sharing size, although between two hungry people we did finish it. I would have normally said 'managed to finish it', however the main difficulty was putting our forks down. Haha.. I'm a sucker for breakfast potatoes and they were plain and tasteless, I ordered filet mignon Benedict med rare and came out well done. Server was quick and ready to remake the dish , but with sad potatoes and ruined meat I kindly declined, kind of disappointed, luckily we ordered apps that were satisfying enough. Our waitress was so attentive, the food was delicious & the view was spectacular. We had the preset menu for OC Restaurant Week and it was SO MUCH FOOD! The only thing that was good about this place (and I've grown up in the area and have gone here for years but it's changed) was the service. The bartenders were nice and the manager came over because I was so disappointed. The food is awful. I ordered a tomato salad which was 2 tomatoes and a bunch of weeds drenched in dressing. $16. I ate 2 bites. manager changed it to the wedge. It was iceberg lettuce and 12 chunks of bacon for $16. Legit. and a tomato. Husband ordered the crab cake for $22. He said Dennys would offer a better one. gross unappetizing menu. Awful. They are trying to be fancy/gourmet. F fancy. We here in orange and surrounding areas want good food at a decent price and a good atmosphere. That's all! Then we got to pay $9 for the valet to drive our car 19 feet in the dumpy private parking lot. 100% rip off and 100% horrible menu. sorry Orange Hill. We used to love you. We decided to visit Orange Hill restaurant because we heard the view is great. We visited on Sunday for brunch hours and it was quite hard to find parking even tho the restaurants indoor capacity was only at 25%. We were fortunate enough to get a good seat on the patio. I tried their bottomless mimosas with orange juice and lavender. I did like the lavender mimosas a lot. For appetizer we ordered the charcuterie board and crab cakes Benedict as an entree. The charcuterie board was good, however, definitely not the best I have had for the price point. The crab cakes Benedict was probably the highlight of the brunch. But there were small details that were lacking like wine glass bottom being dirty etc. read more
