Little place that looks like someone's house on the corner. They have 3 customer parking spots at the corner of Cleo & 1. Otherwise it's just street parking. Parked a block down and took a nice stroll up to this place. Walked into this cute place and saw they have 4 two person tables and 2 six person tables and a couple small tables out front. Can definitely see this place Getting crowded on the weekends. Got a friendly greeting upon arrival. I came in knowing what I wanted for lunch thanks to someone I follow on Instagram so I didn't have to ponder the menu for too long. Ordered a Lagoona Toona and since their window claims they have the best coffee on town, an iced mocha. Everything tasted great and I was eyeing the fresh baked pastries as I enjoyed my meal wondering if I should get something to take home for breakfast tomorrow. I love how the Orange Inn has adapted to our current Covid times by having a walk up window open. My wife and I have eaten breakfast here several times and have never been disappointed. The French toast is good, the eggs are good, the bacon is cooked perfectly, the potatoes are amazingly seasoned, and the coffee is incredible. When we're in Laguna there's no discussion about where we're eating breakfast because we're both wanting the Orange Inn. This place has the best chai latte, and I have had a lot of chai lattes in my life : ) I came here twice for breakfast during my visit to Laguna Beach. Both mornings the restaurant was very busy. The staff was very friendly and I received my food quickly. I had a veggie omlette one day and a veggie scramble the other. Tip: The griddle is only available on the weekends and holidays sooo omlettes and french toast is only available on those days. The muffins, etc looked delicious in the glass case! I love almond croissants! Truly, I have not been here in 3 years but experience this place, vicariously, via deliveries of almond croissants (Thank you Rachel & Steven B.!). To the uninitiated, this is a small (tiny) corner cafe that claims to have the best coffee in town. Though I can not verify that this claim is true, I do know their fruit smoothies are legit, pastries are fresh/tasty, and savory foods have great flavor. About the smoothies, this place was doing them before the smoothie chains became big in my area. These are not the giant, megalithic, fruit slurpees served at the dedicated smoothie shops, but, rather, all fruit concoctions with natural ingredients served cold & under 24oz. Please, read Rachel & Steven's reviews for comedic service. I have personally dealt with owners & managers over the years, but, again, it has been years since I have been in the store. It's Laguna Beach, so a bit of THC infused service may actually be de rigueur instead of abnormal. This restaurant has a special place in my heart. The staff are the most kind, positive, and caring people I have ever met. I so appreciate their spirit. I also really appreciate their commitment to keeping Laguna safe during COVID by taking orders at the window and always asking customers to wear their mask (I know that kinda sounds sarcastic but it's not). I love the location, look, and feel of this place. The food and beverages were OK. I had the following: - Coffee (Regular Size $1.85).......good coffee, got me up - Ham and Cheese Croissant $4.45....good and fresh but I have had better - Grapefruit Juice (Large $3.95)....not sure if this was fresh squeezed or not but it did not taste like it was. I did enjoy it. - Cranberry Orange Muffin ($3.75 I think)......muffin was great but it looked larger from the display case. This place has been open since 1931 and offers freshly baked cinnamon rolls, muffins, cookies, croissants, bagels, sandwiches, soups, salads, and much more. What a cute little gem. We were looking for a place to eat at for breakfast. We were wanting healthier options other than a Starbucks breakfast sandwich or oatmeal. We walked from our hotel and when we got there the service was prompt and friendly. The food was decently priced, and there were plenty of options. The menu was simple, but everything we tried was delicious. The orange juice was very fresh. We were able to eat on their side porch and then walked down to the beach afterwards. This place is awesome! I would definitely come back again. My wife and I both got the French Toast, it came with bacon and eggs! It was great. This place is small but I loved the atmosphere. They have surf boards on the celling which is pretty cool. I saw a lot of people taking food to go because there wasn't a lot of seating. It was reasonably priced for Laguna Beach area. I would recommend trying this place out. We ordered breakfast but from what I saw they offer lunch food too. I would like to try out their other food! I would get there before 9:30 a.m. if you want to find a parking spot, but it's California and parking is a nightmare anyway. read more

26 bucks for a breakfast burrito, ham & cheese croissant and a small coffee. yikes. that's not the bad part. the asian woman at the register is so slow at taking peoples orders that it's ridiculous. after i paid for my order she just stared at me and i had to ask her to give me the croissant. even that process of getting the croissant took a long time. it was like she was enjoying it. huge line outside and no urgency whatsoever. i will say that the black coffee they served me was exceptionally good but that woman at the register i think must have been highly medicated or something. Untoasted regular wheat bread slices with bean sprouts, cucumber, mayo, sliced tomatoes and the thinnest mass produced veggie patty. A handful of tortilla chips and 3 pickles. One word: bland. A gal in our group said that she paid $5 for a small bottle of Gatorade. SMALL. The only positive thing out of this: The tall young gentleman with the dark hair. Less crowded than the Swami's Cafe but the same idea: sandwiches, breakfast burritos, muffins, smoothies, salty air, volcom stickers, hippie sunset murals with perfect head-high barrels, turn-of-the century photos of the town and countryside to remind you of simpler times, surfers, locals, and good darn good coffee. We almost did not eat here based on some mixed reviews... so glad we did! I can see how some could have a very different view if you come during a busy time. It's small and there is not a lot of room, but if you can beat the crowds it's a total gem. Very welcoming vibe with a super friendly staff. Not a lot of seating especially if you have littles, but you can take your food to go and enjoy right on the beach. I got the breakfast burrito - everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. Hubby got the breakfast burger. Great for a meat lover also made with fresh ingredients. Must get the orange juice - fresh squeezed amazingness.
