Every time I have come here everyone is kind and helpful. One girl in particular is super sweet, she has fun different colored hair & cute jewelry & is genuinely so sweet! She makes the food taste better haha My go-to order is the spicy garlic edamame (not very spicy and more garlic-y but still tasty.) Another favorite is the firecracker roll, sweet and spicy. The sauce they use on the rolls is hella bomb. Overall, it's a clean facility, tasty food & friendly service. read more

Came here for lunch with my brother on a Saturday. I ordered a chirashi bowl because I'm not all into rolls and lots of sauces. I wasn't a huge fan of the chirashi. I'm not sure why but the albacore was heavily salted there wasn't any taste to it besides lots of salty seasoning. The rest of the fish tasted old. It had this old fishy taste to it. Even the salmon had this weird film on it. The staff was nice though. read more

Overall this place is an average sushi place. I enjoyed the menu showing the easy to ready spice level and selection of rolls. The toro portion was generous. Service was good. My only negative is we ordered mackerel that was dry and tasted a little old. read more

They changed owners and the staff are completely different. They're not as accommodating. All the perks of this place are gone. We're on a search for a new local sushi spot now. Also, there's no belt in their high chairs to secure baby and no changing area for babies. read more

He was really helpful and patient when he was taking my order and answered all my questions. The rollls were good and pick up was seamless and without any issues. I would order from them again! Good quality sushi that's budget friendly. Everything is priced lower than what you would expect. You would think that quality would suffer, but not with orange roll and sushi. 5 pcs of toro sashimi for $25? Sign me up! Service is great, servers check in and ask occasionally if we needed anything. Ambience is not what you expect. It's a little bit dark, but they are playing killer kpop music and some that sound like it came straight from animé. Highly recommended. read more

I've been going to New Harima for years and you won't believe how sad I was to discover they retired! (Good for him though!) I wasn't sure whether I'd like this new place compared to Harima but boy was I amazed. The food is indeed different, Harima being more authentic Japanese, but this place definitely did not fall short. Only downside was no sushi bar and alcohol but honestly I can totally deal with that! I am starting to like the more family restaurant feel they are opting for. The servers were all very sweet and the chef was so funny! Now let me tell you about the food. Wowie! I think I came here at least 4 times in one week. I got the Sunrise, stinky, crunch roll, and many more I forgot to take a picture of because I was so hungry (haha)! Absolutely amazing. The dishes that we ordered were unique and all the flavors came together soooooo well. The fish is good quality-- melts in your mouth and has a distinct, fresh taste that is hard to find. We also ordered edamame, which came out hot and well salted. Great portion size too. The only thing that bothered me was the amount of single use plastics that we were given during the meal. Would love to see the restaurant phase this out, along with the styrofoam to-go containers. Regardless, I have been searching for a solid sushi place for a very long time-- happy to say I finally found one. read more

Orange Roll is on the corner of Ball and Bloomfield in the Ralphs shopping center. HOLY COW, talk about excellent sushi and great value, Orange Roll gets 5 stars all around. I am truly disappointed at myself for only having these 3 photos from my delicious meal, but don't fret, I'll be coming here many more times and will (hopefully) be taking more photos. I liked this place so much I came here 3 days in a row before heading back home to Fresno. I first love Orange Roll for their excellent prices. Rolls are fairly priced. And on top of that, they are not skimpy at all with their fish portions. Here's a list of things I have gotten so far. 1) spicy tuna roll ($5.95 for 8 pieces) - I love how accommodating Orange Roll is. My sister doesn't like tuna and they swap out her cucumbers for avocado free of charge. 2) Philidelphia roll ($7.25) - one of my favorites. Huge salmon pieces. Fresh salmon. A classic. 3) Eel and avocado roll ($7.25) - they have a couple different eel rolls and are happy to make your roll exactly how you want it. I like the classic eel and avocado. Once again, generous eel portions. 4) Rainbow roll - We've had a bit of inconsistency with this one. The first time we ordered this, it was EXCELLENT. However, the second time we ordered it, we were quite confused as to why avocado was the topping for two of the rolls. And unfortunately, the avocado was browned when we got it. All in all, excellent prices, fantastic portions, fresh fish. Thank you! read more

I was excited to try this place. But disappointed instead. We literally walked out just now as I am reviewing this place. Hubs, baby and I came to have a late dinner from a long day. So I told my husband lets try this place. Came in and greeted like they didn't want to serve new customers anymore. They sat us down and we were ready to order. Plain and simple. No server came over to offer any drinks or asks if we're ready. Majority of the workers are just chitchatting. One server guy next to our table just ignored the fact that we were there. Then two new customers came in and was served with drinks. Sad. Just sad. Never trying them anymore. read more

This our go-to place for sushi. We love all the nigiri, which is well made with quality fish and generous portions. We are sad that toro and scallops have been usually unavailable since the pandemic started, but we look forward to getting it again here someday! Also for saba and smelt roe, you would have to call a day in advance during the pandemic due to the lower volume of business. We used to dine-in in the "before time" and always had a great experience, we would order hot dishes from the kitchen then too, but for the past year our takeout has been sushi. The food is good but I am giving them 3 stars based on service. I am writing this to hopefully help their management improve their service, overall. As a family of 4 with the intention of eating their meal at the same time, this did not happen. Our individual dishes came about 10 minutes apart and we even had to wait an additional 10 minutes to get our tempura sauce. Lastly, they had the nerve to charge a dollar to sear one order of salmon sushi. It's not the price, it's the principal. We have been to so many Sushi bars and we have never experienced being charged to sear a small piece of fish. What happened to customer service? We ordered a total of 6 entrees and they have the audacity to charge a dollar to sear salmon sushi. We left disappointed and hope they work on improving their organizational system and customer service. read more

My son loves this place man. He's so chill with the sushi chefs and they love him. I get the mild chicken ramen and normally get a few pieces of nigiri sushi to go with it. They are known for their salmon so I usually get like two orders and then get their Californian sushi of the peppered salmon with lemon juice and creamy albacore. The customer service is ALWAYS bright and good whenever I come. Everything is freshly prepared so I am willing for the wait but the edamame keeps me company. When we initially arrived we saw individuals exiting with nourishment still left on the table so inquired as to whether everything was OK and they said it was extraordinary just an excess of sustenance!
