    Chicken Katsu plate
    Amber S.

The chicken katsu curry plate is really good! There is a generous portion of chicken, fried egg & a large side of curry. The cucumbers are seasoned well with a sesame sauce. My photo looks messy because I already dug into it but there was so much yummy food I'll be back. Only cons were only Pepsi products & the ice maker was broken. Also they don't have a spicy curry option but I went home & added my own hot sauce.

I was craving for some fried food, so I ordered the calamari rings. They used a tissue at the bottom to soak up the oil or for decoration (I am not sure). I noticed that the ink from the tissue was bleeding the red color due to the heat of the fried calamari. I did finish the food but I felt the grease entire day, like I dont know if I actually had any calamari or just eating the fried dough. Also, I would appreciate if the cashier would tell me about the extra % charge if using the credit card instead of having the customer reading the small sign.

Soft opening for this cute little place in Cypress that boasts tasty Asian plates. The big Spicy Tuna rolls were delicious and had just the right amount of kick for my son to enjoy it. The Sesame Chicken bowl was tasty as well although next time I'll ask for a bit more sauce to add more juiciness. Francisco was kind and helpful at the register as I waited for my food. I need to try the Bulgogi and Katsu Kimbap next time. They looked pretty good.

Was just on yelp to see what my stomach was feeling today and saw this new place pop up somehow The inside was very clean and has a tad bit of seating. Like only 2 ppl can sit per table. Will say that I wish they had music or something cuz it was dead silent and you can hear the echoes. The music would help and make it more lively for sure :))). Now the IMPORTANT STUFF I ordered one of the Mori combinations, to be specific it was a Kimbap and tempura udon. For the portion and price I'll say pretty dam affordable!!!! Tempura udon 7/10 idk what it was but it left a weird aftertaste in my mouth. Will say might try other idioms and see but this one I wasn't quite fond of Bulgolgi Kimbap 10000/10 will say portion is huge!! You can def taste the freshness of it and idk but hands down the best Kimbap I've tried so far!!! TO SUMMARIZE: get the Kimbap!!!! But will try more Kimbap and will come to try the other ones as well!!! They have a buy one get one 30% off for Kimbap

New katsu, udon, and korean food stop located near Ralphs. It seems to be a fast casual type place with to-go options but a small dining space and only has tables that have 2 seats at them. Yakisoba had lots of beef and good flavor; the egg on top was a bonus. Spicy chicken actually wasn't that spicy but was a large portion and tasted good. The sides were a nice addition - mac salad and cucumbers in sesame oil. All in all, a good lunch spot although to go ordering is recommended.

Ordered the chicken katsu and chicken yaki soba. Enjoyed both but I preferred my bf's katsu. I do enjoy the sides of pickled cucumbers and macaroni salad. Give this place a try! Nice customer service.

BOMB! Just ordered to go, just took a bite in my car. Opened my Yelp app ASAP so I don't forget to write a review on how tasty these kimbaps are. I'm currently in my kimbap era. I've been testing kimbaps all over town and these receive a 5/5! Very nice! Very fresh. Flavor is great. Bulgogi not dry, very juicy.

ordered to-go food at this place! got the curry katsu bowl, tuna mayo kimchi, and the katsu & spicy pork plates. i had no expectations going in since it was a soft opening but it turned out to be so good! prices are reasonable for what they give you, and the food itself was delicious. although, the spicy pork was not spicy at all, but didn't mind too much since it was still flavorful. will definitely plan to come here again some day (:

    Updated menu February 2025
    Kylee M.

Ordered the spicy chicken plate, burdock/gobo kimbap, and fish cake kimbap. The burdock kimbap is now listed as "gobo kimbap" on their updated menu. Didn't know this prior to ordering and created a lil bit of confusion with the worker. Very generous portions for two, we had leftovers to save for dinner. Our takeout order came with two complimentary cups of soup. Fishcake kimbap was good, not too salty and just the right amount of flavor. Gobo kimbap was very crunchy, not the biggest fan. Since the rolls are bigger than the usual kimbap they were more fragile when picking them up. The spicy chicken wasn't that spicy, lacking in some flavor. It was stir fried with vegetables and rice cake. The cucumber side tasted better than the mac salad, which was bland. The soup was salty, but it went well with the other food as they were seasoned more lightly. Overall, a decent place for Korean takeout prepared in a more healthy fashion.

    Ramen

We got the ramen and the kimbap, both portions were great. I was surprised by the Korean ramen, it was only 7.99, but the portion was good to share and brought back so much nostalgia. They make the ramen for you on the spot using the Korean ramen machines, and its topped with an ample amount of spring onions and egg. Overall solid, and I know I will be heading back for the ramen!

I ordered three bulgogi gimbaps. But they gave me 3 gimbaps in two containers, two chopsticks, and two soups. Why? One Bulgogi gimbap's price was $13. I but the quantity, quality, and service were not worth it. Very over priced. It all tastes very plain even the rice was not seasoned. I won't come again.

Bulgogi gimbap - Excellent taste, generous sized roll

Impressive bulgogi gimbap here folks! Great generous size, fresh tasting veggies, and juicy bulgogi in the middle all packed with greatness. Restaurant is simple, clean, and welcoming employees.

Wrong price. Supposed to be 11.99

Wong price. First time trying yakisoba. Let's see how it is. The guy seemed clueless.

On my way to my hotel, looking for a dinner spot, the name caught my eye. I decided to double back and was the best decision I had made all day. Single dining room restaurant with friendly polite young staff. One double-sided menu makes it easy for ordering. This evening, I ordered Thai Iced Tea, Massaman short rib curry, and the coconut rabbit dumplings. The coconut rabbit dumplings were over the top good! Uniquely prepared fried dumplings filled with ground seasoned meat and skewered on a tiny wooden pick with cucumber, papaya or mango, pepper relish was amazing. This is reason enough to dine here! The Thai iced tea was perfect. The Massaman curry was done right and with short rib meat was absolutely delicious. I think I would try it with pork next time. But if there is a next time, I probably would try their green curry. It was a tough choice. But I didn't regret my decision. This was my first visit, but not my last.

The Pad Thai with chicken ($17) was one of the better dishes we tried--good flavor and nicely prepared. The cream cheese wontons ($11) were also very good and probably one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the coconut dumplings ($14), spicy edamame ($7), pineapple fried rice ($19), garlic pepper beef ($19), and pumpkin curry with shrimp ($22). Everything else was okay, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. We also had two Thai iced teas ($12 total). The biggest drawback was the service. It wasn't bad, but it was definitely not very attentive. We would have appreciated the server checking on the table more often, especially during the meal. Our total was $121 before tax, plus $11.19 tax, bringing the bill to $132.19 before tip. Overall, I'd give Coconut Rabbit 3.5 stars. The Pad Thai and cream cheese wontons were the standouts, while the rest of the food was average. With more attentive service and a little more consistency across the dishes, this could easily be a four-star experience.

We ended up getting Mango Grahams, Pancit, Siomai and Popcorn Chicken. Before we placed the order, it was communicated clearly from the staff that there would be a wait (there were 3 parties ahead of us, and one of them was huge, so we kinda expected a wait anyways.) We also weren't in a rush and were willing to wait regardless, so that didn't really bother us. The Mango Grahams were exactly and more than we expected; definitely satiated my cravings. The food was also good and arrived in a reasonable manner. Again, we only wanted to check this place out because of the Mango Grahams, but we were surprised at how many other options they had for desserts, appetizers, food, and drinks. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I wouldn't mind the distance knowing the quality and options they have. Also, I briefly looked into this place before driving here, and I was expecting like a quick "boba store" environment, but it also has a sit down ambiance. Great for quick hang outs with friends or sit down meals with your family. Also, I'm specifically writing this review because of the staff. Given how busy they were, I want to recognize how friendly and welcoming they were. There were lots of orders, but they came out in an understandable amount of time, and the person in the front always had a smile of her face. She always communicated clearly and warmly about the waits, and was very accommodating to the customers. I can't wait to go back for more Mango Grahams (and also check out their other menu items!)

That's the perk of it, but there are other small details I've noticed that are different from other locations, one of them being the thickness of the green onions. I usually love how thinly sliced they are at Mokkoji but this location has them very big, coarsely chopped. Also the toro we got today was very fatty, a plus for those who enjoy fatty meats. My go to order is to get a "special for 2" of their "share beef set" to share with my wife. She likes the Spicy Pork Broth and I like the Spicy Sukiyaki. It's Japanese spicy, so it's more flavorful than spicy. If you want real spice, then you could ask the server for extra spice and they'll use a medicine dropper to add a few drops of serious heat into your sauces. In our shared meal, we prefer their marinated "toro fatty belly" and it comes with a huge order of meat, 2 pints of draft beer, an appetizer, and ice cream ($87 for two persons). If you choose a nice, fatty cut, then you will be pretty satisfied with the meat quality. My reasoning for this being 4 stars rather than 5 stars is that if you were to choose the wrong type of meat or if you don't order enough meat, then your experience will likely be suboptimal. Apparently, you can get refills on the veggies, so I'll try to ask for that next time! What I love about Mokkoji, however, is that the quality and value that I get with the special is ample for two and it's delicious!
