I was driving through town & stopped by. I had no idea the itamae was from Sam's Sushi (was next to Palisade at Elliot Bay Marina below Magnolia & Chinoise atop Queen Anne, now Ikiiki). I live in QA in Seattle. I had the sashimi, kaki fry oysters & goi cuon (fresh spring rolls, not fried, stuffed with rice noodles, lettuce, bean sprouts, shrimp & peanut sauce). Food preparation was spot on with what I'm used to in Seattle at a lower price than Seattle. Sashimi was fresh & arranged masterfully. Sushi, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese food with pho (beef noodle soup). This is NOT fusion! Each cuisine is traditionally prepared. They have outdoor seating, & spirits, beer, & wine (service bar where they bring drinks to the table). Sushi bar to dine-in to watch the itamae prepare the sushi. Family owned & the service was excellent with friendly staff. Dine-in for best experience.

4 stars for quality and price of the fish. Service was quick but I was there when only 3 other parties were present. Ambiance feels a little on the "cramped" side.

We ordered seaweed salad, 4 different rolls, and soup to-go. We really enjoyed our meal and service was spot on. What an unexpectedly yummy find after a long day sightseeing in Seattle. If I lived here I would definitely visit again.

This was $8.50. Is maki not usually 8 pcs? And check out the quasi-evenness in diameter!

Origami Sushi provides a disappointingly dull experience and exposes its diners to unethical business practices. The service was poor to below average. For example, the waitress was unenthusiastic to greet my brother and me, and the food did not arrive promptly. The hot miso soup was a welcome amenity, however. The table ordered a shrimp spring roll, unagi maki, a rainbow roll, a spicy salmon roll, chicken teriyaki, Korean kalbi ribs, and a teriyaki bento. The spring roll arrived after around twenty minutes, and the entrées (without my teriyaki) followed along with the sushi after another fifteen (or more) minutes. My teriyaki came three minutes later. It was, unfortunately, not worth the wait. My unagi maki was poorly formed and seemed short, and my chicken teriyaki was warm and odd- tasting. I cook a lot at home, so I am familiar with the flavor of old chicken, which I tasted today. No amount of vinegar (an uncommon ingredient in teriyaki) can mask that, especially when the chicken is so fatty. After the dissapointing meal, the check came and was overpriced by $13.15. As I examined the receipt and the menu together, the waitress hurried over to inform me that she had "accidentally" added an extra unagi. This was strange because she did not come until she overheard me talking with my brother about it. I also learned that the menu has fine print on the cover that allegedly permits the restaurant to increase prices without notification. This resulted in an extra $4.65 charge overall. When I asked the waitress about it, she agreed that it was dishonest but referred to it as her management's decision. I strongly discourage eating at this dishonest restaurant with sub-standard, overpriced food. It is not worth the risk.

Out of all the sushi restaurants in Bremerton and Silverdale, this is my fav so far. I've only been here once. I'd have to go a second time to see if it's really legit and consistent.

IG: justpadge_eats Dropped a star after my last visit: Started with some Karaage Tako, a bit chewier than other places I've had this dish. Next my goto, Salmon Skin Hand Roll. Cajun or Blackened Salmon Skin, not sure it was supposed to be fried that long. Finally the Shawn Roll, they must really love Shawn to name a roll after him, and this was the showcase of the meal. Hey Shawn, go back in and tell them to name the Salmon Skin Roll after you too!

This has been my favorite kitsap sushi for YEARS. I have tried the other sushi place at the Trails and I honestly thing is over prices and overrated. I would hands down choose Origami any day! It seems to be family owned and operated, service is great and the food is fantastic. Their menu is HUGE and so reasonably priced!! They have a good selection of domestic and import beer. It's also cool that they offer party platters although I've never ordered one. I have never been disappointed here and would recommend this place to anyone. It's a bit of a hole in the wall kind of place which tends to be my favorite.

Supposed to be Kung Pao Pork. Wrong!

I went to Origami before for their sushi, which was decent. Today I ordered a couple of Chinese dishes for take out instead. What a mistake! I'm Chinese American, so I know Chinese food. The Kung Pao pork (I wanted a change from the usual chicken) was unrecognizable as Kung Pao. So very disappointing! How can you screw up a basic Kung Pao dish? It was a white sauce, with no spice at all. To make things worse, I think the pork shreds were from old meat.... On the verge of smelling bad and with a grainy, mushy texture. All wrong. I asked when I ordered if the noodles in their Lo Mein was the actual thin Hong Kong egg noodles.... The woman said yes. The portion size was good, but the taste and texture of their Lo Mein was very off. My guess is they use dry noodles, then boil them up before stir frying. The texture of the noodles were grainy and mushy. Again, the pork used in the Lo Mein was old meat.... Bad smell, taste, and texture. I'm never getting Chinese food from here again.

It wasn't horrible, but the sushi (fish) was not fresh. It lived up to the outside appearance which is strip mall Asian/ Sushi.

Today however lines were crossed in the most unprofessional, rude, unwelcoming and disrespectful manner. My husband initially went to go order our food but unfortunately this time he experienced Myla, the cashier, continuously talking over him while ordering. Although we've experienced her behavior before we would just brush it off. I received the dynamite fries and couldn't eat them because everything was soaked in unagi sauce which many may know it can be salty when your food is drenched in it. I then went to the counter politely apologizing for even complaining but would like to have the food remade with less unagi sauce. Instead of saying anything kind, Myla complained to the cooks about me complaining about my fries were too salty. She made jokes aloud while the cooks laughed. I was standing there the entire time patiently while she was tormenting me. Meanwhile, Myla was helping other customers with the upmost respect because at that point she noticed I recorded our interaction. The food was remade and not a word said when she handed it to me. My husband then went to ask for the cooks name and Myla's and while they're waiting he overheard them talking about my appearance and making fun of the interaction. Will not be returning because I don't codone discrimination, bullying or torment in any business no matter how a person personally feels because of a very minor issue.

Definitely worth a try! I ordered the karaage chicken bowl. There was a lot of chicken pieces and a heavy serving of "egg fried rice" underneath. Very filling, and very delicious. The chicken is fried, and it comes with green onion which breaks up the creamy richness from the egg and fried chicken flavors. It was so much food, I had leftovers to take home for lunch the next day. The entrees come with miso soup before the meal arrives at your table, so we were happy with the fried chicken skin appetizer and miso soup starter, then to finish it off with our entrees.
