i give 2 stars because its a cool place. good beer selection. first- waited fifteen minutes for a table- i have spent over twenty years in the business and understand seating and flow- this was not the case. unorganized yes. had over 12 tables open and ready. i had time to count. well the food was not very good. the mussels we couldnt even eat. service was horrible. didn't even take the mussels off the bill. we ended up so dissatisfied that we left after the appetizers and went to another restaurant. but not before the waitress lost my credit card. it ended up being found at the hostess stand. unfortunately i wont be back. at least not to eat.. do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else first. then go enjoy a beer there. side note- had a cool irish band upstairs read more

The beer selection is pretty good, the food is OK. Is this the only bar in Longmont? I drove up from Denver and was amazed at how packed this place was. I felt like I parked in Boulder. I had a hard time picking something to eat, settled on the fish and chips. The fish was good and you definitely get alot of food, but the hush puppies they serve should probably just be taken off the menu. they were literally fried corn meal, nothing added, very disappointing. We had some wings to start that were decent and the fried pickles were actually good too. I tried there Ghost Pepper sauce, hot but not unbearable. read more

I'll bumb them up to 4 stars. The food is good. Nice lunch menu with a sandwich and salad for about $7. The cuban is fantastic. The service has been nice, but I only go there for lunch, so I'm not sure about dinner service. The beer selection is fantastic, an as usual, the OB beers are amazing. Looove Oskar Blues. I have been to both the original Lyons location as well as the Longmont. While I have to say I prefer the Lyons location, neither will disappoint. As a Southern gal, I'm always pleased with selection of Southern staples (the fried green tomatoes with remoulade are a must try.) I even tried my first chicken and waffles here! If you decide to go with one of their pizzas, consider the Oskaropolis. You won't regret it. Though I am not a fan of beer in general, anyone who even mildly tolerates it will appreciate the selection of Dale's Pale Ale and other various beers on tap. The atmosphere is also hard to beat, and if you're lucky, you'll get to hear the blues and open mic nights. read more

Plenty of beer, I mean plenty....nice layout and I like the taps behind and above the bar. I was there to drink beer, but I kept seeing the food come out of the kitchen which looked really good. I love this place, every time my friend is in town we meet at Oskar Blues for a couple of beers and some wings. The wings are unique and spicey, the beers are awesome. Went for dinner Friday before hitting Tebo's Garage. The service was great, love the atmosphere! However, bar-b-q on a white sesame seed bun with very little sauce was a disappointment. Sweet potato fries were great and reasonable prices. Overall, I would visit again. read more

Very disappointed with this place. We had the nachos, fried pickles and a few beers. The nachos were so bland and all the toppings did not help with improving the taste. The fried pickles were so salty it was hard to enjoy (thank goodness for the dipping sauce they give you). The place had so many flies that were landing on us and our food that it was so frustrating you couldn't sit there and enjoy yourself. I felt bad for the waitress who was always late getting to us because she was the only one working the patio and the booths around the bar. I was mad to find that our bill totaled to $93 for terrible, tasteless food and service. We tipped our waitress 20% because she was doing the best she could and was nice during our experience. Go on a Sunday and get a Pinner and whatever the chicken, grits, biscuit and cheese dish is. So, so, so good. Also a must try is the jalapeno poppers. I have never had a bad experience here and the simple little water feature of outside is pretty cool. If you have never been, I suggest you try it out. Love Oskar Blues commitment to local music, but the food was a real disappointment. Fig and pig pizza lacked the pig (Oskar Blues Boulder has a great Fig and Pig pizza) and the nachos has a wierd cheezy sauce but no real cheese. read more

Fantastic meats that are smoked to perfection!! I love Oskar Blues atmosphere. Their sweet tea is delicious and served out of a Mason jar this place is one of the most fun places to go in Longmont. Really horrible service. Came to grab a beer and an app, and asked if we could sit outside. With an eye roll the host said yes. She met us out back and asked that we sit in a table in the dark so the "server wouldn't need to walk as far." There was an outdoor gas fire pit that we asked if she could light. "Uh, I don't think we're doing that tonight," was her response. We said can you ask as it would be awesome. "I don't know where he is," she said and walked off. A nice girl brought us water and said our server would be right over. We waited 15 minutes for that to happen. When she came she groaned in frustration for having to come outside. We ordered beers and some pretty decent nachos. Quick beer and nachos and we left. I still tipped 30% in support of service folks despite not good service. The restaurant really missed an opportunity. Had they lit the fire we would have ordered apps, dinner and multiple drinks. We are careful due to at risk family members, but we still desperately needed a night out. I would return often had we found any sense of hospitality. All the pieces are there: good beer list, nice outdoor setting, outdoor fire pit. Are they are lacking is even a hint of hospitality or service. Don't bother with this place. read more

This is the perfect place to sit down and have a beer and appetizer. It has a different menu than the one in Lyons though, which disappointed me. The menu is also disappointing small. I tried the pasta, which was not very good, but the bear and fried pickles were great. read more

Stopped here on our way to Fort Collins. I didn't even know this location existed, I thought they were only in Lyons. I got a five-beer-sampler and everything was very tasty. Pliny the Elder is such a great beer. Yum! They had oysters for happy hour and the super friendly bartender let me try just one because I had never had one before. Well I loved the raw oyster and I hope to come back to get a full 1/2 dozen and try some of the other menu items. read more

I have been here twice now, both times on a Thursday for lunch. I go on thursdays because of two things- chicken and waffles! What a delicious plate. The chicken is smoked before it's fried in a light, crispy, spicy shell. Combined with the maple syrup on the waffles and there is a perfect balance..... Good job! Great home cookin! read more

My daughter and I ate at Oscar Blues last night. My meal of the beer can chicken was good. But, her meal of the catfish poboy was awful. The sandwich was completely inedible. The waitress was almost never to be found - the service was extremely slow. When we complained about the sandwich, when we finally saw the waitress about 15 minutes after the food was delivered, the waitress did nothing about it. Someone else delivered the bill (which still included the sandwich). read more

Oh man I love southern food and It's hard to find around Denver, but Oksar Blues had some good stuff. I have been drinking their beers for a while but never had there food. The cheese grits were awesome and the Crab Cake Club was a great twist on 2 old favorites. Go for the beer, food, decor, its all good. I still need to go listen to some good blues though. read more

Very much over-priced for what you get. I was very disappointed when I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was way over-cooked and extremely dry. It was covered in maple syrup on top of what looked to be a once frozen waffle. Probably won't go back here for a while. read more

Both times I've gone the food was below standard. The soda was flat. At least the service was good. Will not go back for the food.
