My previous review of this particular Outback Steakhouse described a legendarily bad experience we had with our waiter, the food, and the manager. We vowed to never return. However, we were invited to a "business" dinner here, so it turns out we gave it another try. A polar opposite experience this time around. The service was excellent. Based on our hosts advice, I ordered a caesar salad, a fillet with broccoli on the side. All were excellent. The steak was delicious, as was the seasoned broccoli. Our company was delightful, so what more could I possibly ask. The one downside: I left rather hungry. The steak should come with more than one side. read more

Usually the food is okay. I went there for lunch & had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It was horrible. It came wrapped in some sort of paper, hogie roll was soggy & smashed. Visited this location had never been there but we noticed it multiple times and all the new renovations that have been taking place are more appealing and they are doing a really good job in updating. Not a very long wait for a Friday night many other families there and they moved rather quickly. We had a great waitress who was all over it! Great recommendations and so accommodating to different request we had. We really liked our experience will definitely be returning. I had the prime rib! It was so tender and juicy!! It was perfect!! Came in last week for an early dinner while in town for business. While it was a beautiful, warm day outside, the restaurant was freezing - probably around 65 F. I asked the hostess if they could give the AC a break and she promised to check and see. That didn't mean she would do it and 10 mins later I asked the waitress. Another 10 mins later, the vents finally stopped pumping out blizzard-like winds. Service was relatively friendly, but nothing that warmed me up. My NY strip came out not very tender and I had to send it back. A manager brought a replacement 5 mins later, which was right - only the potato had shrunk and lacked half of the toppings. I swear the salads have gotten smaller and contain just blah iceberg lettuce, no tomatoes etc. The once so awesome bread was stale. $38 with tax and tip later, I left a bit disappointed. read more

I enjoy sitting in the bar. The service is outstanding and the food is on par with the experience. Not super fancy, but good gut busting food. If you are on a diet, it is a very bad place. If you want to get some stomach filling food and are not afraid of calories it's the place. The bartenders are very attentive and the service is quick. I like this place. Oh Gawd.....what were we thinking? In a moment of a total lapse of judgment; swayed by a coupon from the Sounders game, my husband and I headed to the Outback Steakhouse for a Saturday night dinner. First, I was shocked that people actually still go to this chain of restaurant, secondly I was in utter shock to hear there was a 45 minute wait for a table. We were able to snag a table in the bar. It took 15 minutes to get the waiters attention -- they were grossly under staffed -- however, it happens, we could be patient. Patient for the first 45 minutes of waiting for our appetizer, patient again for another 45 minutes of waiting for our dinner. I knew the bloomin' onion was a bad idea-- the pictures and the name just doesn't do it justice. Don't be fooled by fillet mignon was a strange, thinly cut, tough piece of mystery meat, the vegi's were overcooked- the most edible part of the dish were the mashed potatoes (albeit salty), but they were smothered along with the fillet with a mushroom sauce that was a little less than too be desired. The star is for the effort -- the bartender, the waiter, and even manager appeared to be doing the best they could given the busyness of evening. We may have caught the Outback on a off night; unfortunately, we won't be back to verify this! read more

I've never been a huge fan of Outback. Within the last year I decided to give them a try to see if it would change my mind. It did! They have a great Happy Hour menu! I know this may sound a bit odd, but I actually come here for their house salad. Its huge for a side salad, loaded AND extremely fresh (and cold, like a salad should be). Yesterday was the first time I have tried this place with my family, the athmosphere is good, nice staff. Prices are a little bit on a high side but that's fine. Kids loved it. The only thing that bothered me was that my statke that I paid about $35 tasted like a plastic Some parts of that stake was really good but some has that plastic aftertaste. We were in town for business and decided to stop in at Outback. The restaurant was pretty quiet, not very busy. So why we waited 10 minutes to have our drink order taken, an additional 20min for the drinks to be served is beyond me. Additionally, my salad was served without dressing and we waited until those drinks finally showed up to ask for dressing. The food was pretty decent all things considered. Once in a while we treat ourselves to a dinner from Outback near our home. Normally we go inside. Today we did the curbside pick up because I was sick and didn't want to spread germs around. I ordered online but had to order twice because I forgot to add my steak to the cart. My fault, not theirs. The web page said our order would be ready in 20 minutes. It took about 10 minutes to get there. It took 20 minutes after we go there to get our order. 10 minutes late is not so bad but, our order was not complete and our food was cold. We live 2 minutes from this location and our food was barely luke warm when we opened our containers. I ordered my steak medium well because they tend to cook on the rare side. My husband ordered his medium rare. We both had to cut in the middle and look twice to figure out which was which. The baked potatoes were not hot enough to melt the butter AND they forgot my husband's broccoli side. Since it was 2 orders, we should have gotten 2 breads, we got 1. Honestly, I have made many better steaks at home for a lot less money. I was thoroughly disappointed. The only reason I didnt give a 1 star rating was because the waitress who came to the car the first time was very sweet and enthusiastic. Next time i will go to the store and take the 20 minutes to make it myself. read more

I tried the Tuna tartare and it was delish!Not what you'd typically expect to order here. Unfortunately steak was not as great. It was definitely on the tough side and under seasoned. I used to love coming here as a kid. Not so much anymore. I went in for dinner with a friend, and first off we were halfway greeted, halfway ignored by the hostess who was busy gossiping with another staff member. Once we were seated, we ordered the bloomin onion, which was pretty standard and exactly what I expected. For my meal I ordered the Filet Mignon... which is $22.00 What I received would NEVER be described as a prime cut of beef. I strongly believe it was cooked from a frozen state. It was grey, mushy, and bizarrely flavorless. How can you mess up a steak so badly?? I wanted to badly for the cook to actually taste what had been served.. anyone who has ever had a steak before would have been appalled at this sad excuse for meat. I've had two meals recently at the Stuart, FL Outback. Both left me unimpressed. My first bad experience was when I received the Shrimp on the Barbie app. It definitely didn't jive with menu description. Instead of the grilled shrimp being served on skewers with toast points in an awesome garlicky sauce, they were placed on top of a burned bottom half of their toasted brown bread; not good; I asked for another piece of bread, meanwhile the shrimp got cold. My most recent experience was when I ordered the Pork Medallions with Pineapple. Again, it was originally served on skewers, possible two (?). This time, 4 or 5 small chunks of pork sat next to 3 or 4 pieces of pineapple! Not a nice presentation. But, at least the pork tasted good. Again, it didn't follow the menu's description. read more

I waver between 3 and 4 stars, but I have to be conservative. This is a good, solid chain and the service and food are dependable. The Bellevue location has good staff, the food is generally prepared well, and the staff is friendly. The two things that keep me from rating this with 4 stars is that is feels a bit underdressed. This is a family-style restaurant and it's hard to have a private meal. We've only had a few food mishaps, and they are always rectified. This place is a dump. I came here for a bday party. My friend called and made a reservation for 10 people but Outback said they never received the call. I ordered the prime rib... it wasn't too bad... a little overcooked but I was afraid to send it back. My friends got the salmon and New York steaks.... everything seems overcooked. Sadly my love for mundane mainstream steak was crushed here when the server decided to take over an hour to bring us any of our food. It took 25 minutes to get our drinks and when we hit an hour and nothing was out food wise we deiced that we'd go somewhere else. The worst part about it was our server actively avoided us after the 30 minute mark, and refused to make any eye contact when we got visibly annoyed and audible. He also ignored every other table in our section (which we heard them getting audible about). So it's not like dude didn't know what was going on. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the management was very nice and comped our drinks when we tried to cash out and leave. read more

We took our au pair and two of her friends here with the six of us for her birthday celebration - they took reservations, which helped. Irina and I split the sliced filet in mushroom sauce, and the filet was very tender. Surprisingly so. The boys all had kookaburra chicken fingers with Aussie fries, an they were pretty oily. Others had ribs (fine), sirloin and crab (excellent), and chicken with bacon and cheese (ok). An ok place to go, and fine for both kids and large groups. read more

Sorry but dropped in here to meet a client for a beer and at $6.95 for a 22 oz beer is $40 per gallon. Talk about Gas prices??? When one considers the effort to secure either Gas or Beer and the difference in price makes gas look great. Figured I'd give the place another try, but didn't have time for the runaround I had on my last visit. (~1.5 hour wait AFTER the time of our reservation, ended up leaving, etc, in case my old review gets overwritten...) So, Compromise! Curbside Takeaway! They even had a song about it in their old ad! That, I thought, sounds like an awesome idea! That was not the awesome idea I thought it was. We got home to open up the little sauce tubs and accouterments of our meal after initially checking to make sure there were the prerequisite number of entrees (and, helpfully, we thought, they were even labeled in pen on the outside of the Styrofoam!) and sides and such. Yeah. Everything we ordered? Labeled as per what we had ordered. The myriad boxes did not, however, contain what the labels said. So, I'm sick of giving this place second chances. They're conveniently located, and it's a shame that there's not a better restaurant in their place, here. read more

Stuck in a catering bind when I had 20+ people coming to my house at short notice - I called up Outback Steakhouse to see if they could help. They did and some! I ordered shrimp, steak, chicken wings and salads - all of which tasted great but Outback also threw in fries for 20 and a whole ton of bread. One star for the food: the steak was easily the worst piece of nominal rib-eye I've ever had, with poor flavor and gristle galore. The other food was between edible and passable, with only the loaded baked potato passing for good food. One additional star because this is an Outback, and is not billed as anything more. read more

Outback Steakhouse is always my go to when I crave a steak that is cooked to perfection. My husband and I usually go to the Kirkland location and were very disappointed to see it was permanently closed, so we decided to drive the extra miles and try this one out. So happy we did! Food was delicious as always, the atmosphere was way better than the one in Kirkland and service was great. Awful food, awful service. 1. Table was only cleaned after I sit. 2. Waited too long for my waiter so I have to place order by myself with the device on the table. 3. Bread, salad served together and within 2mins the steak came along. How can I manage everything all together! 4. The steak doesn't smell about right (not fresh enough it seems) and this chunk of meat was all burned to black like pulled out of a pile of burning logs! Just finished a far less than inspiring meal at Outback. We have experienced good quality service in the past - the distant past. Over the last 18 months Outback quality and service has been backsliding. Fromt time to seat until first appearance of waitperson: 5 minutes. Gave drink order. Took another 5 minutes to bring 4 glasses of water. Waitperson disappeared after water was delivered. Another 10 minutes for waitperson to reappear. We place the orders. Orders straight off the menu - no specials. Salads show up couple minutes later. Another 20 minutes pass before main course arrives. Food was not what we expected - nothing like the past. Flavors were totally off, meat was not cooked to expected doneness. Waitperson, servers did not stick around long enough for comments. One positive is that we were seated upon walking in the front door at 6PM. That alone should have told us something was up. Deteriorating service can be pinned on two sources: Corporate or Local Management. Not much to do if Corporated mandates a reduction in service except find another place to eat. If Management is the problem then Management and staff need to be evaluated and corrective action taken. Pretty certain this was our last visit to Outback. Third time is the charm. Just will not tolerate bad food and bad service. read more

Last time that I would ever visit this place. Ordered a medium well done steak, got an almost rare one. Server was kind enough to take it back and within 5minutes I get the same steak reheated back on table. Seriously!!!! Is that how you correct your mistake by reheating the darn thing.
